  • @Justice @Powa_Gaysah

Yes, I'm incredibly biased on that matter, and I'm Killer main with 800 hours as Killer and maaaybe around 50-70 hours as Survivor, and mostly Solo one.

Check this my post in other thread, where I made my points pretty clear. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/534835#Comment_534835

You made so much strange examples about information.

Totems: any Survivor who is not potato and has a bit of experience knows all totem placements on maps. If it is Ruin - it will be destroyed fast or after first wave of gens done (which is depends on rank, purple and red will work through and destroy after), other ones will be destroyed once any of Survs will run by and check spawn points. If you dont run totem protection build with ToTH and proper Killer - you can say goodbye to totems.

Who will ever tell you that Huntress winding up hatchet towards someone in the middle of nowhere? Really?

You can read link above about information Solo survivor has without any comms.

If you loop Killer while he has slug nearby and he does not break chase after 20 seconds to go for pick up - you dont need SWF to help slug, Killer is either potato with tunnel vision or has no intention to pick slug up. As Solo if I see downed guy close to me and no pick up right after - I go to check if I can get slug, cause Killer is chasing someone else 100%.

I can guess Killer's perks in 100% of matches as Solo, I'm always assume from start of match that Killer has BBQ and it is pretty easy to confirm/disprove assumption in first half of match.

I saw ######### loads of SWF running around like beheaded chickens doing random crap, so it is about individual skills. Once you have 4 good players against you - they dont need comms even, cause they know what and how to do.

You know if it is Ruin or Lullaby in first 20 seconds anyway, if you are doing gens as any normal survivor should do at start of match, you dont need SWF for that.

I dont need SWF to warn me about Overcharge, even such potato as I am can hit it 90% of time even against Doctor in Madness T2. Also, I can probably be mistaken, but I'm almost sure, that gen kicked with Overcharge has different sparks animation, it has those little lightnings in the middle of chassic which are not there if gen is kicked as usual. So you can even see if it is Overcharge, and you dont need SWF for that.

  • He is very hard to pull out of stealth if he is crouching, even if he is right in the middle of screen. I was playing survivor a bit today, all killers are GirlFriend, and pulling him out of stealth is pretty difficult even if he is not hiding. I got me exposed faster that I detect him, and it was first time we met, so I wasnt prestalked.

  • @BlondeMegPls said:

It is ridiculous to say that you always know when it's safe to do gens and when it isn't. How could you possibly know when the killer is on the other side of the map chasing someone if you can't see it/hear it/or are told by your SWF. They could be hiding behind a wall staring at you, they could be anywhere, but because you have have coms with every other survivor you don't need to worry. You know, for definite, where they are at every moment.

    What is your survivor rank?

Read again what did I write before.

I have Spine Chill as Solo - I KNOW when Killer is watching me, I'm not worry even when Killer is chasing someone in my proximity, cause he is busy.

Loops and pallets are placed on map in such density from most gens that you can reach them even when you have only 10 meters distance between you and Killer. To cover 10 meters distance with lunge Killer needs around 14 seconds of chase. Can you reach nearest pallet or window in 15 seconds? I bet you can.

So, basically, you dont care where Killer is if he is more than 10 meters away from you, and that is 1/3 of most Killers TR. You hear TR, check around, and move. No problem at all.

  • You clearly can't read @BlondeMegPls

When I play Solo survivor I know without any comms when it is save to do gen and when it is not. And I'm Killer main and I'm awful in chases as surv so to say.

The game is survivor sided and is not balanced by any means. Comms do NOT provide any significant advantage. If you still do not see and understand it I cant help you with that.

All I hear from ppl in thread - SWF have advantage cause of comms. Please, give me example of advantage, and I mean ADVANTAGE, comms provide to SWF.

Totem location? It is crap, solo survs destroy totems very fast.

Killer locaton? It is crap, solo survs (including myself) repair gens with Killer chasing someone 10 meters away and dont give a ######### about it.

Gens location? Any survivors higher than rank 12 prioritise middle gens to separate map towards end game, and you dont need comms for that.

    What else can comms provide?

P.S. @ShrekIsHot Thanks, bud, nice to see another clear-minded Killer here

  • Ok, I'm telling you how it does NOT provide advantage

    1) I can see who the Killer is as solo, either by sound, by traps/jigsaw boxes, by HUD icons around other survivors. Do I need SWF for that - NO.

Nurse, Wraith, Billy, Bubba, Doctor, Clown, Huntress, Spirit (wout Beads), GF, Mayers - you can hear them either when them move or when they use their power.

Trapper and Pig - you see jigsaw boxes or traps on ground.

Freddy, Legion, Plague, GF and Doctor - you can see HUD indicators.

    2) I run Spine Chill as Solo surv - I know when Killer is nearby and watching my direction, and I can play accordingly. Do I need SWF for that - NO.

    3) If you play Trapper - run Whispers, thus you will know if someone in your TR and can see where you place traps. When I play sirvivor I'm getting caught in traps very rarely, cause I know its Trapper by seeing inactive traps and I check places around loops and pallets near gen I'm going to work at. Do I need SWF for that - NO.

    4) I dont care much about Ruin, cause in most cases I can hit great skill checks and work through it. As guy with pretty decent amount of hours I know where totem locations are on maps, and I dont need SWF to check nearby places when I'm running to gen or work at one.

    5) If you can SEE Killer you dont need SWF for that as well. SWF can tell in discord - Killer is on me, but what does it give to you? As Solo surv if I dont have Spine Chill lit or I dont hear TR - I will work on gen/totem anyway.

    6) If they bodyblock you to drop the guy before hook, they trade 2-3 hits which could be done in chases, and it actually save you a lot of chase time and stall game at the same time. They will need to heal themselves wasting time, they are NOT working on gens while they are swarming around you to take those hits, and they are all in same place, which means you can capitalize on that and down another injured person who runs in wrong part of map where pallets were wasted already.

Also you have perk that can capitalize on that behavior - Mad Grit. They will trade hits for nothing, and they will never do it after first occurence.

Whenever you think you face 4 man SWF - just use perks that will help you to counter them. Mad Grit, Discordance, Lightborn if they packed with flashlights.

Perks to help you end chases faster - SF+Endur, Bamboozle, or Endur+Brutal, whichever fits your style.

Avoid Hex perks - cause you will end with 2-3 perks game instead, maaybe you can take NOED for end game, but I dont think it is a good perk overall. You can run Haunted Grounds for some guess game and instadowns though.

As I said before - I dont even run perks on Killers, cause it is so much funnier and develop better game understanding, I encourage you to try it out and see if it will help you. I was prestiging LF in last 2 days.

Here are some screenshots, you can see by my Devotion level that those games were pretty much one by one. (There were some survivor games in between, no other Killers were played).

Especially check screenshot with 4 toolboxes and 2 new parts addons

. Guy with Unbreakable saved that game for team. When 1 was on hook, 3 other slugged and I went to hook one of slugs on other side of map - guy stood up, inhooked and they healed 3rd slug, finished last gen and I still had 2 kills, Ruthless and decent amount of points.

  • I know there are those who think that having a SWF connected by chat is an unfair advantage but having played several SWF matches yesterday, having chat didn't stop us getting slaughtered by some really good killers - not camping, not tunnelling, not toxic, just very good at hunting, chasing and protecting generators.

This is exactly my point from other thread here https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/69212/swf-needs-to-be-nerfed

SWF do not provide advantage to survivors, that little information they can pass to each other do not break game for Killer. They can pass totems location, sometimes Killer location to some extend and slug location. That's it. It is NOT gamebreaking by any means.

If you are getting your game breaked by this - it means only 1 thing - you need to improve. Your actions are predictable, your pathing and movement are not optimal, your ability to recognize long chase and abandon it in favor of gen protection is not developed enough.

I'm playing with no perks as Killer (well, during event I use BBQ for points), sometimes when I play as sausage and commit to chases too long I'm getting rekt by survivors, but a lot of times I can 4k. I'm red rank Killer in past months, but prefer to sit in 9-5 ranks nowdays due to lobby times and less sweat games. After reset I've dropped to rank 14, played 2 days and atm I'm rank 10.

Stop blaming SWF for your inability to adapt your playstyle to different survs tactics.

  • @QwrtyMan213

That was very, very needed answer to my question. Pointing to my typo, anything else to add?

  • M&A is good on Hag when you approach gen, 16 meters TR give survivors much less time to react, so you can score hits easier.

  • My build is: BBQ for points

More than enough for me :) Also, some aura reading from BBQ sometimes handy.

  • I like how ppl downvoting my posts without argumentation even. Can you name me information which SWF tell to each other that is so crucial that it is even gamebreaking for Killer?

P.S. Yet another downvote even on this post :D Well, you can't ask too much from kids when analytical thinking involved :D

  • So what? Like if it is something new to acknowledge, SWF was in game for ages and that is obvious that SWF will share info.

What kind of information can they share?

Totem placement? Dont run Ruin and learn how to apply pressure without it, replace with other perks like PGTW, Thanatophobia, Sloppy, Discordance.

Your location? But even as solo survivor you can pretty much predict Killer location in 90% of time.

Certain perks you run? But that knowledge do not help them. Like if they know that you run Sloppy after first injure - will it help them? No.

Run more informational perks - Surveillance, Discordance, Whispers. Check hook site more throughly since SWF tend to be over altruistic. Capitalize on that.

If they try to gen rush during chases - informational perks should help you to acknowledge it and act accordingly.

I've played against a lot of SWFs, certain amount of them had 1-2 streamers in SWF and I was always taking my time after game, no matter of win or loss, to check their channel and watch game from their PoV, and learn what kind of communication do they provide to each other.

Believe me - there is NOTHING special in there to be able to RUIN your game as Killer. Several times SWF can't even explain WHERE exactly totem or where they are slugged with Knock Out. "I'm on the side of main building which look at the jungle gym with pallet and here is a big rock" And two other guys looking for him on opposite side, cause there is rock and jungle gym too.

Ofc, if you're camper and they say - he's camping, do gens, and you lose game with 1 kill at most, it is very "viable" information, but maybe start to apply pressure and stop camp?

TL/DR: Information that SWF can provide is literally couple of things: location of something and if Killer is camping. All other info do not affect Killer.

  • If you play good, keep nice pressure on map and mindgame ppl in your favor - SWF can't do more than any good solo survivors. Just build more skill and see such games as good training for perception of game flow and optimizing your chases and map rotation.

TL/DR: Stop whining and rise skill.

P.S. Skilled red ranks solo survivors dont need to be SWF to make 4 escaped against literally any red ranked Killer, apart from Nurse.

  • Nurse needs no add-on during learning curve, as other guys said above. (maaybe fatique shorteners, but I personally dont see much difference or any need of them)

First: you need to train muscle memory for how long to charge blink for certain distances, to get close enough for hit or for correction blink before hit. That is most crucial in chases obviously, and for a certain extend to reach exact points on map, like second floors, middle of jungle gyms, etc.

Second: very important to make a habit to rotate your camera during blink to observe surroundings. As you already probably know, once you release blink button while watching certain direction Nurse will blink there, but during blink you can freely rotate you camera to watch around. This is very crucial skill to acquire, since all Nurse is need - information.

Third: you need to learn for to use angle of blink to shorten overcharged blink, in case of chase for backrunners, but that is the least of needed skills on her, since you can predict backrunner and just release charge earlier.

    As for FoV perks:

M&A is total garbage - never use it on Nurse. M&A is perk not for FoV, but for TR change, FoV part is just a unnecessary bonus. TR change is really useless on Nurse since she's loud af anyway. You can't sneak on Nurse, well, you can, if you will walking around, but that's at least not smart with 96% speed.

M&A's FoV change will constantly fck up your distance sense in and out of chase, so it will make your learning experience even worse.

Shadowborn is perk which you either use always or never use at all. Once again, cause of distance sense, when you get used to standart or extended FoV switching back will require some re-learning.

    Other Perks:

As learning Nurse you need to have some extended time to catch survivors, so Ruin could be good choice. Another perks like Sloppy, Thanatophobia, PGTW will help to slow down game, Sloppy+Thana combo will give you good amount of time, cause hardly anyone want to run around injured against Nurse.

Once you reach certain level of fast chases you will want to switch into informational Perks, cause Nurse's pressure is high enough to pass slowdown perks, well, Sloppy is still solid on her though.

Discordance, Surveillance, Whispers, Nurse's Calling are good choices for a experienced Nurse.

If you have enough experience with other Killers and you can read game without much help from Perks, you can combine slowdown and information Perks at your liking.

Even potato Nurse as myself is capable of some good pressure against mid-rank SWFs.

  • No, Enduring affects stuns, cooldown is fatique.

Survivors move 4.0 m/s. Killers normally 4.6 m/s. The relative velocity is 0.6 m/s. At 5.0 m/s, the relative velocity is 1 m/s, so The Legion gets a 66% bonus to catchup speed for 10 seconds.

Comparing a Killer's movespeed increase to the base speed isn't as informative as comparing the increase to the base catchup speed. :)

Also, since FF is longer now, you can cover 50m in one FF rather than 32m from the old version.

    @Almo

That's why ppl say that Devs cant do stuff properly. You cant even calculate abilities in your own game. Anyone in Dev's team did study math at school?

FF is 10 seconds at 5.0 m/s, fatique is 4 seconds with 50% movement speed, 2.3 m/s (maybe even less)

    10x5 + 4x2.3 = 59.2 meters

    14x4.6 = 64.4 meters

It is even not worth to use FF as movement ability, cause moving by walk is FASTER. And if Legion decide to cancel FF earlier, difference will be even bigger.

Survivors move at 4.0 m/s, Killers normally at 4.6 m/s, relative velocity is 0.6 m/s. In FF relative is 1 m/s, which means that Legion in FF will catch up Survivor at maximum distance (10x0.4)/4.0 = 1 second earlier, and that is in case of running at straight line with no vaults and pallets. If Survivor is to be caught earlier difference will be even lesser. Some ppl have latency more then that.

how can anybody not like the huntress? </3

Cause it is crappy Killer maybe?

I dont play her myself, cause I think her low-tier. From surv experience - camping and tunneling Killer 90% of cases.

I play Killer mostly, Surv in 3-8 ranks, almost all Huntress I see are camping and tunneling.

Agreed on the DC on shoulder bug.

I’ve never personally had an issue with sound bugs as I can follow sounds pretty well. I don’t have an issue finding survivors while phasing.

I have seen some pretty bad sound occlusion though. If a survivor is behind a wall then their injured sounds are TREMENDOUSLY reduced. You can barely hear them. Same with generators that are behind walls. Sound occlusion is really bad in some circumstances.

But, as I said above, it is not a bug. BHVR changed sounds behind obstacles about month ago. You can barely hear sound of gens and work on them through walls, you can barely hear grunts of pain through walls. Next step in caressing survivors.

I mean...you're wrong. There's no other way to put it. I've posted in the Bug Reports subsection about cases where Spirit loses the ability hear survivors cries of pain after the first hook at times. The music that plays when you have a survivor on your shoulder can persist for an entire match if someone d/c's when you pick them up. These are all documented bugs that people have experienced.

Music plays after DC on shoulder is a bug for ALL killers, not just Spirit. It is probably affects mostly Spirit and Nurse, but it is overall bug.

I'm saying not about gamewide bugs, but about Spirit phase sounds specifically. Those were lowered alongside with overall survivor sounds during chase. It is next step into caressing survivors, so we, Killer mains, should adapt and deal with it. If those who claim themselves as Killer mains didnt recognize it so far (which is like around month or so), I feel pity for them.

Because you are here to tell everyone they need to stop doing certain things to make you have an easy game and the sounds ARE messed up. Also, don't put your survivor thoughts in a killer forum.

Girl, I'm Killer main in red ranks, playing survivor in drunk fridays. If you can't recognize MESSED up sounds from lowered up sounds, you better clean your ears and shut the ######### up.

  • @TreemanXD Awww, adorable hillbilleh, though i dont play that joke of killer :D

Killer is EZ, I play R1 Leatherface without perks or add ons.

    Teach me, Mastah! :D

  • It is easy to try, just equip perks and go ahead :D Go for VHS and Cork as addons too :)

  • I play Turbo Clown build, cause I like some fun - Fire Up/Bamboozle/Brutal/Enduring

But, I suggest you to watch Fungoose on Twitch and YT, he's very good on Clown and overall. He has some tips on playing Clown, since it is his fav Killer.

  • Cause Billy is pretty easy to loop M1 killer with occasional instadowns?

It is not very hard to hit 32k on Spirit, so far I did 32k on 3 Killers - Spirit, Doctor and Freddy (on last two numerous times). I lost 100 points in this game somewhere, cant recall in which category, probably in hooks, last person could be 2nd hook dead.

It is nothing wrong with sounds, stop listening tru3. Sounds are lower in volume, but they are not messed up.

P.S. Why ppl downvote me? :D BHVR lowered volume of all sounds and distance from which you hear different sounds intentionally, it is not a bug or something. Adapt, guys. It will not be changed back.

P.P.S. I linked screenshot from another thread to show that you can 4k with perkless no-beadsSpirit in purple ranks with current sounds.

  • I have fun PLAYING certain Killer, I dont give much crap about losing or winning when I do it. Why ppl so eager to have "win" right away?

Trapper is pretty easy to have fun times and good wins, all you need is dark traps and sense of map - dont place in obvious places, never place right in the pallet, utilize high grass around loops. ######### loads of trapped ppl. Best feeling with Trapper - Gotcha, #########!

Plague - infect as much people as possible at start of trial and start down broken, use thanatophobia and enjoy corrupt purge.

Clown - just roam around with turbo build, forcing pallets and aim bottles high in loops to cover it all.

Don't "try" to win - take Killer you want to play, try new builds, enjoy :)

@SpaceCoconut I've signed to your YT channel, I see you tunnel a lot during games without Ruin, and running NOED. Getting Brutal with 4k is not really fun as for me, you need to change your playstyle a bit to commit to early game more.

  • Dunno, it is rare for me that survivors go into trash talks, maybe cause I dont react on tbagging, flashclicking and I dont camp or tunnel in trials. Sometimes ppl are pissed by beeing outplayed, but its rare occasions.

  • Why even bother to rank higher then 5? It is not worth in any means, longer queue, tryhard Nurses and Billies almost in everygame, no rewards for beeing in red ranks. I stopped bothering about rank, floating between 5-7 as surv, queues are pretty ok, teammates are not total potatoes.

  • @johnmwarner said:

no perks or beads and thy called you try hard?!? Lol survivors

  • I dont use Ruin for a loong time at my Killers (though I dont use any perks at all lately, but it is for hardcore mode), cause from experience on both sides Ruin has very low impact on game at red ranks. Ppl rarely miss hex checks, even me, as total potato as surv, manage to hit 80% of them.

Take Discordance to see which gen needs your immediate attention, especially at trial start. Combine with some regression perk like PGTW or Overcharge.

I dont see need in both BBQ and Whispers tbh, especially on Pig which has standart mobility, I'd keep Whispers only, cause you can use it at bigger maps as radar which tells you if you should still run towards that gen or not and save your time. As soon as Whispers lit you can initiate crouch and keep walking forward.

Bamboozle is strong perk which shuts down shack, long wall windows and T-L structures very effectively, and lets you either land a hit or push survivor away into open or less safier loops.

So, my build would be Discordance/PGTW/Whispers/Bamboozle

  • Yeah, opening time with sane numbers is perfectly fine. It should be shorter then gates, cause it is a perk you used whole slot for.

20 seconds on gates, so opening hatch time at tier 3 is 20 seconds, and down 5 seconds each tier as @Karl_Childers wrote above. 10/15/20 look like pretty right times.

  • Spine Chill - never go in trial without

Iron Will - helps in chases a lot, especially against Killers that need to hear you, like Spirit, Nurse

Adrenaline - combined with Iron Will saves a lot of time, since you dont waste it on heals.

Small Game - good for fast totems search and helps with Hag/Trapper

We'll Make it and Borrowed Time - altruistic perks, great for saves.

Dead Hard - probably best exhaustion perk, though I prefer to keep Adrenaline for exhaustion slot.

Balanced Landing - best of all other exhaustion perks, Lithe is trash, Sprint Burst trash as well.

  • 40 seconds? Really? Do you realize how long 40 seconds is in trial? Any Killer can patrol both gates and hatch in that time easily. It is basically not worth even try to open hatch, much easier to open gates.

  • If they all run this perk, as Killer you will have 4 perks less to deal with through trial and 3 of them will be wasted. How is this OP?

  • I wasnt downvoting your post, there are other ppl here, you know?

You clearly dont understand meaning of Survival points. You need to "survive". It means you need to perform action directly affecting your survival aside from chase.

Escape, wiggling out from shoulder, kobe or deliverance from the hook, heal yourself from injured state. It are actions you can get points for.

Get hit by Killer, escape from chase after and heal yourself 3 times and you will get 900 points. Deliverance for 1500 and run through gates or hatch and you almost max out - 7400 points. Plus you will have a lot of chase points.

Some Killers provide you with additional points - Trapper, Doctor, Pig, Plague, Freddy. Yes, not all of them provide additional points, but same goes for Killers themselves.

As Killer you need to find and hook ppl 9+ times to get good points in Sacrifice department, it is not that easy task too. Killer loses points when survivors heal themselves or each other.

It is not a points gain problem, it is problem of fast game pace. Most of the times you simply dont have enough time in trial to perform so much actions due to gen rush meta. Gens done too fast now cause survivors literally have nothing to do else in trial. Ok, they can do totems, but that's all.

If games were longer due to more objectives for survs, with more chases that actually end with escapes and caughts - all could win from that.

And if Killer will be potato - game will end in 5 gens single chase with even worse points for all sides.

  • You didnt ask about design in topic title, you did ask how to get 8000 points. There are actions you get points for. Why you even voted me down if you have no idea what do you ask youself?

  • Just watch some good streamers playing Freddy in red ranks, it is not so rare to find.

Also talking about survivor power in game, we all remember Marth's depip perkless squad, destroying any Killer.

Killer's capitalize on survivor's mistakes, no matter how good Killer and his power.

  • From leaked vids he looks weak.

He need to stalk to fill up Ghost stealth gauge, to stalk in Ghost stealth mode to make surv exposed, and Ghost Stealth is really short, so you hardly can sneak from far to expose ppl, plus he has whistle sound when he enters ghost stealth which is very loud.

He has TR while stalking not in Ghost Stealth, so he cant stalk like Mayers, right behind your back. You will always hear his TR when he's nearby and you will actively look around and LoS him.

Anyway, it is only guesses, we'll see on release.

I'm much more concern about Freddy beeing gutted as Legion and Pig were.

  • There should be auto-removal of those ultra-rare offerings from bloodweb as soon as you buy DLC with associated killers.

  • @ghostkiller666 said:

i usually get crushed with pig... she's too slow walking and once the survivors know u are the pig (and they don't have to see you to know) they will be alert in anynoise i make, like that roar you know, they just wait by the gen to speed up the second i'm close. Pig is a place to toxic people be borned. The traps are awesome in my point of view, but they could trigger more in better situations. My only problem is her "roar" right before dashing and her speed. But i often loose, like 35% win 55% i loose, (the rest i'm too high to notice it)

Do not dash from the corner from crouch, just stand up while moving towards gen at which you hear working sounds - 100% hit. Use dash as mindgame or in open spaces for extra points.

  • I died numerous times cause of slight lag which didnt recognize me mashing button during struggle. I have no idea why survs cant just hold space/m1/whatever to struggle. Furthermore, I'd rather see struggle beeing automatic, and you can stop it by hold M1 for a couple of seconds, just like unhooking attempt, and sacrifice yourself.

  • Well, using partially refilled FF or decreasing recharge is a bit different thing.

If you can use it partially refilled you can pop it after 5 secs, hit survivor and refill 20 seconds gauge completely, so its even bigger buff then 10 seconds recharge.

No other killer is punished with 20 seconds recharge of their power if they miss their power attack, not a single. Imagine HB unable to use his chainsaw for 20 seconds after he misses, not even bumps into tree, attack - ridiculous, isnt it?

And since Legion's power is not even one-hit down, and not even a threat now, I see zero reasons why Legion should be punished such hard for missed attack. My suggestion punishes for missed attack by losing time of your FF, its 20% of your power wasted and survivor has time to vault/drop pallet. This is enough punish for missed attack. Also such change give you possibility to double hit survivor for Pin addon debuff and move away to other one, since mechanic applies to both missed and double hit.

With 10 secs recharge time and increased speed Legion can use FF as movement instrument, and his Fuming Mix Tape will be useful addon, that's reason behind buffing recharge time. Thus, Legion can move through map in short speed bursts, and dont worry about having FF in time when he founds someone.

He cant do it now, since its not worth it, recharge time is twice longer than FF duration, and speed increase is only 0.4 m/s plus he cant see scratchmarks. Dumb af.

TR change is needed cause now survivors abuse DW flawed design, including myself. When I play surv, I never bother to Mend if my DW timer is on pause, I do gens, totems, whatever, especially if Legion is chasing someone else around, I literally dont give a ######### of DW. Once I did full gen in DW, cause Legion was chasing guy around shack into jungle gym and back, full 80 seconds. That is broken design.

My suggestions remove this abuse totally. If you sit still in position - Mend, action interrupted as you move, progress is saved. A lot of high rank survivors heal themselves during chases if Killer start to hesitate and giving them still time, same can be done with Mend. Or, just strafe back and forth at same spot - timer will be on pause.

In all other cases - you have 20 seconds to Mend yourself or you will go down. You can do gen for 20 seconds, you still can cleanse hex totem, if you have opportunity, but not much than that. DW should be a threat, not a joke like now. You can make 80 meters away from spot in that time, isnt it enough?

  • @No_Mither_No_Problem

I thought about new Legion after I played him lately. I found myself running as M1 Killer most of time, since using FF is a waste of my time instead of wasting their time. I was using FF only when I got to gen that was lighted up by Discordance. In all other cases I just M1 surv I've found, cause wiping animation is less then FF fatique, especially with SBFTL, not to mention almost complete blindness.

Legion was beaten with nerf bat pretty brutally, though there are some steps in right direction.

That's how I see Legion should work and which stats he should have:

    Base speed: 115%, 4.6 m/s

    Terror Radius: 32 meters

    Addons:

All Pin addons - increase duration of debuffs to 120 seconds.

Frank's Mix Tape - considerably reduce time of slowdown of missed attacks (including FF hits into DW) (-0.5 seconds shave off)

    Feral Frenzy:

    FF speed: 135%, 5.4 m/s

    FF duration: 10 seconds

    FF recharge time: 10 seconds

Missed FF attack: 2 seconds slowdown to 90% speed, 3.6 m/s, unable to attack during slowdown

FF hits to surv with DW: same as missed, explain further.

    FF end fatique: 4 seconds

FF fatique blindness: lessen at least to state of current+shadowborn

FF amount loss from M1 attack: none

Vault speed same as now, due to increased movement speed.

    Deep Wounds:

30 seconds to Mend, Mend takes 10 seconds, progress saved if interrupted.

While Survivor in TR and not moving DW timer is active.

While Survivor in TR and moving - DW timer is on pause.

While Survivor outside TR - DW timer is active always.

DW is active during Mend, if Survivor do not finish Mend when DW timer is depleted - goes to dying state.

Thus, Survivor can't ignore DW and continue to do his activities while wounded even in Legion TR. If he is moving in TR he is either in chase or running away, so timer is on pause to avoid moonwalk exploits.

Missed FF attack or second attack give Legion slowdown, so he cant spam hits into target for whatever reasons, but allow to double hit survivor to apply Pin debuff and still run away and find someone else.

Increased speed of FF covers more distance to be able spread love better, if Legion decides to keep on same person fatique will still give guy time to retreat, so it wont be free hit.

  • A smart high rank survivor isn't triggering that trap. It's good, but not ultra-rare worthy with the negative in its current form imo.

Mint Rag doesnt require trap to be triggered, Hag can teleport to any trap at map uncondicionally. She hear/see unhook, she is there.

  • You probably was too used to tunneling with Legion, he is not like that anymore.

Hit guy with FF, see if anyone around to spread damage, if not - continue chase as M1 Killer. SBFTL work wonders with Legion, since you can have 3 stacks from 1 chase - double FF hit and normal one.

DW is stalling mechanics, FF is tracking, use them as intented and you'll be fine. Ppl will need to mend at some point despite of timer stops in TR, you still will have that extra amount of time. Use anti-pallet build with Enduring+Spirit Fury if you feel you getting looped too much.

  • I've played as surv against Freddy now, we popped 3 gens during first chase through Ruin. Furthermore, we never found it, maybe even didnt look for, I didnt on purpose at least, just looked around while moving from gen to gen, and popped last 2 through as well. 4 escaped against rank 3 Freddy. (we all were rank 4, dunno about others, i was solo)

I dont run Ruin at all Killers I play except one,Trapper, cause I can trap totem and it gives me some time to place traps around. All others can hardly protect Ruin and I dont like to put myself in 3 perks for 90% of match.
