too young to be a serial killer??? were you thinking sexually? I wasn't WOW.... I was thinking how people would underestimate her and she'd be the best! plus most of her skins are better than julies (save the day of the dead outfit!)
-
you better not be complaing about the dc penalty then! you break the rules you suffer the punishment. if you don't report game rule violations yourself you suffer to let it keep going. you are a riot... your comments about pages of hate on your profile... that is nothing compared to people actually reporting actual offenses like disconnect exploiters and other game rule violations because without that you won't get anything fixed. You are more toxic than the killers you are complaining about because you support their actions by not reporting it.. oh yea you said that it's survivors working with killers and killers acting on that information that is toxic but the game rule is you do not help the other side out basically so it's a rule against survivors from helping the killer find others. the survivor doing this is the toxic one, not the killer in this case PER GAME RULES. and trying to pin it not on the survivor breaking the rule but the killer is toxic so yes you're toxic, please enjoy your timeouts that are given for your dc's because you know what? you deserve them and more!

Now I kinda wanna see the stats on number of disconnects directly related to house fires. :P
actually the killer being stuck in a gen happened RECENTLY with the ONI! and yes a 5 minute time out is preferable to 30 minutes of the survivors doing gens and tbaging you where you get no points to speak of either. blargh.

Oh I understand his point. However, it is never the killers fault for killing the survivors, and the concept that the killer should "take it easy" on survivors just because one of them did something stupid, is ridiculous.
it's nice if they go easy and let people get points but never required too.. i might say awww man coulda gone easy! but meh it happens.

And yet you still claimed, and I keep coming back to this because it really does show your bias, that it's fair when people suicide instead of DC.
please show me where you can 100% call it what you do? please show me where in the game the AI can determine the reason behind someone's not struggling or trying to get off the hook? you can't, you can only assume and this is why it's "OK" because there is game mechanics being used not out of match functionality that is being used to EXPLOIT the system.

Ive Played killer before but i don't enjoy it as much and no its not about getting killed its the way i get killed being as toxic as possible ive even had killers working with Survivors and ive DC'D cuz its against the rules and yet again a killer trying to justify being toxic theres no excuse for it how about killers play the game normal and dont be toxic and maybe you wi get less complaints how about sit and think about that one im not complaining for being killed i sacrifice myself all the time to get my friend off the hook and other survivors only to get ######### on in the end
so because it's against the rules you dc'd? that's a riot.. break the rules because someone else broke the rules. that means you are willing to break the rules to suit yourself. so how does that make you better than them? if you want to be better then either let the hook take you, escape and then report them and submit evidence of your accusation via ticket! if you don't then you are just as guilty as those you accuse.
-
it's no more a crutch perk than what i listed. and you just attacked me... I asked you a question and you didn't answer it, this tells me you're just looking for validation for your own weak reasoning that you're oppressed when you aren't. trolling isn't funny.

You literally just said the DC penalties exist for killers to have "fair" trials. Please elaborate on how it's fair that 3 people are default sacrificed because there's no way for them to win any.lre because someone quit.
problem is the dc penalties are too lenient and because of this people dc. if you don't like people dc'ing and you being sac'd by an angry killer that just wants to get points, well find a way to get your points and move on and put social pressure on the ones that do dc! You see right now it's cool and ok to dc because of tunneling, camping, slugging, wrong map offering, first found and downed, hate the killer. make it not cool and ok to do it, keep track of those that dc, and lobby dodge anyone that dc'd with you. Honestly the disconnect penalties should trigger a review of the account and their disconnection rate during the time penalties are active. and exgregious disconnectors should be dropped from playing. once rigorous action is started to be taken for repeat offenders you will see that the issue actually regulates itself and it'll become a non-issue.

Yes, survivors have a DCing problem, and it has now been corrected. Nobody is "default sacrificed" and due to the hatch, I have escaped a lot when my teamates die. Thats why the hatch exists. You literally have a 50/50 with the killer if you are both searching for the hatch.
his point was that when one dc's the killer goes ahead and stomps on the survivors and sac's them because the killer now is trying to at minimum safety pip so he doesn't loose rank and isn't going to just let people out because someone quit. not because the hatch didn't work or anything like that.

If the game is so much crap to anyone in this camp why are you here on the forums? why are you playing the game? the more you don't play the game the more they notice. but if people keep playing the devs will say well we can keep on as is. Vote with your feet and/or wallet! I haven't even bought the new dlc yet.. that's 7 bucks they haven't gotten from me since the DLC came out. I haven't bought new packs of cells since the dlc came out.... I'm one tiny drop in the bucket but what would they do if 1000 or even 10000 people stopped playing? they'd have to reassess and see why these people stopped playing and fix it. look to Sq. Enix and FF 14. initially 1.0 was crap and they even brought it back in, shut servers down and took 2 more years to revamp it and it is one of the most successful mmo's out there! it's gotten better and better! the interface on console has gotten better, and people actually like playing it. the devs here are no different, but the big thing is there is just people not voting, they buy the dlc the minute it's out even when they know it's bugged. this tells the devs and bean counters the calls for shutting down a dlc period to be hot air and they keep moving
NOW I am guessing at what devs and the bean counters are thinking to be honest but it's how things work, you play a game they see you play it and they don't worry, you don't and enough people don't then they start worrying it's as simple as that.

I wouldn't want to see any rift outfits in the store. If we had to suffer though the rift to get them, they should stay exclusive.
devs stated that rift cosmetics would be available atleast 6months later with no defined date of release to the public. so you had your time with it, it's time that others have the chance to spend time to get those outfits! you paid 10 bucks to get 1000 aurec cells... then after completing the rift you got the 1000 aurec cells back that you opened up the premium with. so that's one advantage over the others... you can then use those 1000 however you want. me i keep the 1000 for future rifts and at this point i've gotten 5 rifts done, and 6 returns of 1000 cells so that's 10 bucks divided by 6 for how much this has costed me for all the cosmetics! that's GREAT! I'm happy for the others to come out so new players and older players that didn't get them before can get them as well!

There definitely should be some type of regression maybe it should regress but it should start maybe after 20 seconds? And not regress below 80% that way survivors can't just open the door with a single tap and give enough killers enough time to stop the survivors. The point of EGC isn't to give free kills right. The point of it is is to make survivors leave. But here's the thing survivors wont just leave if their team mate is on the hook thats why they 99. "Killers can open gates tho" but why would a killer walk away from a hooked or slugged survivor just to open a gate. Thats when survivors will rush to the hooks and get a free escape. A killer should never open the door youre literally helping the survivors win. Making it a perk would just be a band aid fix at best or a meme perk.
I have one perk to say here: Blood Warden. down survivor, go open door, hook survivor, then go kill the others. EGC is not limiting the survivors or giving the killer free kills, but the killer is using the environment to their advantage just as survivors do. EGC is to force the game to close, I have been the victim of survivor antagonism once, two blendettes left I had hooked and sac'd the other two they opened the doors (both of them) then went and hid. kept moving to prevent crows. I'm there defending the gates, but they never came near the doors. hatch was between the doors (this was when egc didn't exist thus hatch couldn't be closed) they stayed in the game for 30 minutes till i said ######### it and disconnected because what was the point of keeping my 20K points when after 30 minutes they WOULDNT leave???
This happened a second time and when they didn't leave soon after both doors are confirmed closed i went searching and found them. one got hooked (first hook) and the other one disconnected when i downed them and it'd been their first hook too! I laughed because that triggered the sac of the other one! hehehehe they were a swf and called me names after the match I just said, I won... 3 dead, one fled without points who got the better of you? they shut up and left the lobby. it was hilarious when two red ranks can't leave a match against a rank 15 killer (the other two were 16 and 13 if memory serves)
This is WHY EGC was implemented, because survivors were just letting the game stagnate with doors open and it's not fair to do that.

Absolutely love facing Legion. I understand why some dislike them but I just can't hate facing them.
Here's my reasons:

- Julie 🤤
- If I lose I don't feel bad about it. I just have to say "Fair play you earned that".
- Making them miss is funny
- Suits my play style of staying injured the whole game
The only thing I don't like is the baby players will constantly heal against them.
I disagree with your #2... SUSIE ALL THE WAY BABY!!!!

I'd like to know the reset time for dc penality...
I was unlucky enough to have 1 pc freeze, 1 game crash and 1 lost connection in 2 days, and i got a 15 minutes ban the last time.
I don't complain for DC ban, i'm all for them, just i'd like to know, since i suspect to be in line for very long "waiting times":
Does the time reset? How does it work (how much ban time is the 4th one?( i wont even relog back if it is 1hr waiting time)
Anyone can answer? i cecked the news but i only found when it were re-enabled, nothing else
it's simple: the first penalty is 5 minutes, the next i think is 10 and the third is 15, after that i think it ramps up and i think 6 is 1 hour? at some point if one instance tick is removed and if you get another dc in the mean time you go right back to the last. for instance if you have 3 instances of dc'ing on the account and you have 15 minutes, then one drops off but you dc again you're back up to 3 and the 15 minute mark. I can't tell you what the time frame is because i don't test it out myself but that is how it's been explained by the devs. personally i think it's on the lenient side but that's my own opinion.
-
just what do they get away with? using the perks available to them? do you use Unbreakable, DS, Borrowed time, Spine Chill, and even others i can't think of? well those are crutch perks too. if someone disconnects, then they get the penalty no problem there! that's just how it is. don't dc if you don't like the penalty! if you get a toxic killer that you call toxic and they call you names in the end game chat, get screen shots of what is said and report them! if it's just because they slugged you, because they tunneled or camped you well that's part of the damn game and NOT against the rules. Disconnecting IS against the rules, so if they violate the rules then they get punished just like survivors! lol you're so angry you don't even know what you're saying! noed is not even a threat if you remove all the dull totems... you can leave glowing ones up if you want because noed can't take that spot! hahahhhahahahahah you want to say noed is toxic? that's laughable.

I have doubts about the validity of this story, especially at red ranks, people in red are generally more choosey with their DCs. Maybe a pic would have helped, pics or it didn't happen as the saying goes.
there was a post where 3 people dc'd when legion hit the first player they encountered with the power and i think 2 of them were red ranks. No actually I've found those in the red ranks are more prone to just dcing. they just don't care what happens because they think they're the best out there (and they aren't always) as well as some just want to get out of red ranks so they dc and the neg 1 pip is a reward
-
People know why they dc. Outside of being stuck in the geomerty, outside of bugs and internet issues, they have all said it here on the forums: "I was tunneled!" , "I was camped!" , "I was slugged!" , "I didn't like the map!" , "I didn't like the killer!" , "I can't win" well the last one is what the others make it feel like. I've seen people dc the second legion hits one survivor, I've seen people play the game and dc because I played freddy (mind you with ONE rank 1 perk!) , I've been told they dc'd because i camped and tunneled them. yet I was chasing off two people from the rescue (MY JOB AS KILLER).
I have found people hide under the hooked survivor just to not get hit, I've had people crawl under the hooked survivor to avoid being picked up. in these cases I've stayed there to make sure no one got up and unhooked. why should I leave when someone is righti there? nope don't need it and 2 people with 4 gens to go the one one the ground can't do anything for the one on the hook and i don't have to worry about the gens right away.
disconnecting is basically saying you can't be trusted as a teammate to play a game you decided to play, It means you quit when you don't want to learn, it means you want others to say you made the right call. only time a dc is the right call is when it's not your fault (computer/power restarts, network issues, game bugged out, got stuck in the geometry, personal life IRL is indanger (though why you'd take the time to dc i don't know for this!)) and that's it.

Why is it the killer has to reward them by doing their job for them; if they are the ones acting like little dillweeds? Lol.
the killer does not have to do it, but can if they want to force an end to the game. but survivors 99'ing gates has been there for a long time and much longer than egc existed. one of the reasons 99'ing the gates was not to avoid the egc as it didn't exist but was done to prevent blood warden. so 99'ing is not any more or less a problem as it was before, actually LESS when the killer can open the door, then hook someone and block both exits with blood warden and then get the other survivors.

First site I found:
http://www.tools4dev.org/resources/how-to-choose-a-sample-size/
It says: "minimum sample size is 100" and "A good maximum sample size is usually around 10% of the population, as long as this does not exceed 1000. For example, in a population of 5000, 10% would be 500. In a population of 200,000, 10% would be 20,000. This exceeds 1000, so in this case the maximum would be 1000"
Next is a site with several examples on how to chose sample size and very detailed maths for specific cases. One snippet is below, that calculates for a given example.
https://brownmath.com/stat/sampsiz.htm
Example 7: You expect that customers will choose coffee, tea, bottled water, and Snapple in the proportions of 65%, 15%, 15%, 5%. How large a random sample must you take to test this model?
Solution: Take the least likely category and divide 5 by that percentage:
n = 5 / 5% = 5 / 0.05 = 100.
Answer: You need a random sample of at least 100 to test this model. (As always, the minimum sample will give a significant result only if the null hypothesis is extremely wrong. If the model is only moderately wrong, a larger sample will probably be needed to reveal that.)
Summary
when there are elections, what exactly to you think happens when they do the election poll to estimate where the parties are at the moment? Ask everyone? Millions?
EDIT: I'm just wondering if you say that the forum feedback is useless, as it will never reach your required minimum of 40k responses to a topic. Like the devs should actually not give a F about what is written here, as it will always be a meaningless minority. I'm really struggling to take you serious with your expectations.
some effort on your part sure... sure a small sample can easily skew your results. you are looking at the sample size, and here you even fall down, you're looking at about 80K over all users, 5% of that is (80,000*.01=800 now *5 =4000) so your 100 people are cherry picked and not random sampled so you skew your results. what you described is RANDOM SAMPLING, and I never said the forum was not something that is useless, but you and I both do not have the information that is gathered that the devs do. your rantings here are just that rantings, i have not seen anything constructive in your responses and without that anything you propose is disregarded due to specific bias. but ah well. good work to look up the information on this, but you can't cherry pick your sample and say it is representative.

when i troll it's because i want to lighten the mood, but i tend to be sarcastic when people make outlandish statements that are blatently not true. I do not see a problem with the try to get off the hook, and i don't hit my space bar that hard to stay in the match, you only have to match a certain rythm with the space bar. and though you don't see it, it's basically the same as a skill check, you just don't see it.

This is precisely the problem.
I get that MOBAs also have DC penalties, but in general you can still enjoy a game even while you're losing, and there's still decent hope for a comeback.
The problem with DBD is that snowball nature of matches. Sure, you can sometimes get an escape after the killer killed all 3 of your teammates without a single gen done (that's why the hatch exists) but more often than not you won't. What people don't realize is that that kind of catchup mechanic is necessary. You have killers here all begging to have the hatch removed from the game. They don't get it. They only see their own enjoyment and gameplay. They don't realize that the hatch is necessary, just as NoEd or Blood Warden is.
It's because DBD has terrible mechanics that kick you when you\re down that the game is a miserable experience for many and that just saps people's will to play. Tunneling, camping, decisive strike, the old pink mori, these are terrible mechanics that exclude people from playing and just screw them over. If it happens occasionally it's not so bad. But as Murphy's Law would have it you can easily get into a string of consecutive games where that ######### happens over and over, and that's why the game stops being fun and you start DC'ing the moment you get into a problematic matchup.
And this is true for both sides, whether killer or survivor.
This game is just that kind of game -- it is not kind to the losers at all and stomps you when you're already down.
when ever dbd becomes unfun i'll stop playing, but most people that get upset keep playing and playing and playing all the while they are bitching and moaning and complaining, and keep playing and keep complaining. This is the problem people don't stop when the game becomes unfun and upsetting, me? I just stop and go play something else. I change up what I do to make it fun, make new challenges for me to do. hmmm seems like it's people that want to make their anger greater that keep playing and doing this.

So I read it all, sadly and saw that YOU were the one suggesting a horrible change that you can't attempt to unhook yourself. Then the guy proceeded to suggest ONLY an "automatic struggle phase instead of manual" and you were saying to him that he doesn't care about people using deliverance? Like what.
Honestly @Ink_Eyes Let's ignore him, he doesn't know what the language English is and what the game "Dead By Daylight" is.
You can respond Freki, but your arguments are just terrible and phrased horribly, just horribly. You put words in people's mouths like it's McDonald's selling words on a busy sunday.
my grammar is actually pretty good, sometimes i type in stream of consciousness but i made that as a JEST, SARCASM towards the guy before trying to make it so you can't even try to unhook yourself because that leads to suicide by hook. then you take that as I was talking about the 2nd stage when that was a jest and I talked about the perks and offerings that help you get off the hook. Then you keep on me about a sarcastic remark. see why it's gone this way?

lol the one that can't understand sarcasm. now you are making attacks on my intelligence? how old are you now 10? 15? you are the one that can't get it into their head that disconnecting and being sacrificed on the first hook is NOT the same ( even when the player does it themselves). The DEVS have said that it is not the same or even considered the same.

There's already a DC penalty which is so stupid I still cannot believe it. All it does is give killers a few more BBQ stacks since you can indeed (and many people do) ######### on first hook. If I run a killer for LITERALLY two and a half minutes and not a single gen pops, and then when I'm finally downed I see only one person is even working on one? I'm out. I'm not wasting my time in a game like that. If I have to stay in that game, I'm done playing DBD. Great for queue times, having less people play a game.
You can't force people to play the game the way you want them to play it.
sure disconnect all you want, enjoy your time out. sorry you don't enjoy the game time for a new game then. Really so you get so irritated that the killer chased you for 2.5 minutes and no one does gens? that's all that it takes to get you to dc? that's amazing as it shows you have not the tollerance to play this game let alone other multiplayer games. That is exactly what I got from your post. the dc penalty is working just fine and because you threw a temper tantrum and QUIT means you should be penalized, honestly I think the dc penalty system they have is too lenient. sure you can't force players to play, but they can force you to not play by blocking your ability to play anymore because you keep flaunting the rules. just because the game didn't go your way is not a reason to disconnect.

Ok this is ridiculous. You will never be able to ask everyone, that is why you pick a representative sample for an extrapolation. That should be common sense. I was thinking you mean with "vocal minority" that actually people are more likely to speak out lout when they want to complain, compared to people that are fine with the addons. That's why I argued with game chat feedback.
To the statistics thing, I saw NO sample at all, where the positive or "idc" feedback is stronger than the negative response, or even gets close to it. And having several platforms with major negative feedback is at least a bigger hint for "that addon is a problem". And I think feedback on forum, streams/stream chat and ingame chat is actually a sample that is indeed big enough to allow a representative extrapolation.
Btw, are you saying that this addon is not a problem for the majority of players? Just curious.
you can not say that talking to 100-500 people shows the will of 40+ thousand or more. please understand that the sample size must also be representative of the over all group. you have yet to convince me there are more than 500 people wanting this. I have not said anything about the add-on where it is concerned by a majority of players. I do not have that data, I spoke of my personal feelings about the add-on, you are the one trying to say they know the will of the majority of players.

I am not, you are making it so, i am differentiating the two. one is done using in match functionality which is allowed and still gives credit to the killer and you can still be rescued unlike disconnecting. so no it is not the same, just because you think it is doesn't mean a damn thing just as it doesn't mean a damn thing i think I should be able to drive faster than the speed limit. you're done now that you've admitted to making a mountain out of a molehill that didn't need to be disturbed. Nope. You were talking about the struggle phase, 100% and said removing it would render those perks useless.
point out where i was only talking about the struggle phase. wait let me do your job for you: "fine here is how it will be fixed for just your account: you will get hooked, you can't even attempt to get off the hook, you can't even struggle and you can't be pulled off the hook what so ever. oh is that not fair?" notice that the first part of this talks about "you can't even attempt to get off the hook".... then i even made it so that there was no struggle but no one could rescue them.... this is what sarcasm is.... making things completely and utterly silly and this is what you are talking about not anything else... but since you won't go find the quote this is what you're referring to and won't show me what we're talking about and i want to see the whole post not just a tiny word or two quote.

I did not miscontrue anything you said, I simply pointed out a wrong statement. Changing the struggle mashing to automatic does not remove viability of any perks like deliverance. I never even brought up the differentiation of suiciding on hook and accidently letting go of *Insert Struggle Key Here*. So why do you? Threads are meant to discuss things, not to limit topics, unless it's a way different topic that should just become its own post.
Also when did we say "remove the struggle phase"? We said make it automatic, not entirely remove it.
i never said that the perks were involved with the struggle mechanic which is what YOU MISCONSTREWED.. I was talking about what happens in the first stage WHERE the game ALLOWS you to try to get off. if i am hooked and i need to suddenly go somewhere i'll either 1 afk and go do it which once i hit 2nd stage it automatically sac's me because i'm not there to struggle. if i try to get off the hook and then i am distracted well doesn't matter i'm automatically sac'd because i'm not there to hit the button. why would you equate my comments about perks and first stage to be talking about the struggle phase? lol you are the one misconstrewing what i'm talking about so either bring it back to topic in your reply or don't reply at all, because i just showed you once again what i was talking about and you refuse to see it.

because i'm doing something other than playing dead by daylight, you too have enough time to come here and spout nonsensical things so i doubt you're playing dead by daylight lol. I do other things and play other games i don't play dbd only if you do well i'm sorry.

If you know you can't comit to a match dont play a team based game, play something you can do solo easy as that...
how the hell will i know when the police would show up with a summons? or that a child is endangered? should I ignore the emergency and play a game to satisfy you? ######### NO. your arguments are easily countered and getting more and more ludicrous. i've told you before just STOP. the devs acknowledge that real life pops up, emergencies pop up. so you know what? it works just fine as is, there is a way that gives people a chance to save you on that first hook as it takes 3 tries minimum to get off, and if you don't struggle the killer still gets sacrifice and staging points. this is in the game, you can go stick it when you tell me i can't answer the door, stop the lunch i'm cooking from burning, the child that i have from hurting themselves, or what ever comes up in real life. if I sign up for a tournament of dbd then I should clear my schedule to play in the tournament . but if i'm just playing for the fun of it i'll play my way within the rules and attempting to get off the hook and choosing to not struggle is also within the rules so it doesn't matter. this should not be changed.

Clean your schedule when you play or don't start the macth simple as that. it's the same reason devs don't give AF when you disconnect, doesn't matter if it was because your internet went down or not, you still get penalized and it should be applied to first hook k'ills as well..
lol clear my schedule? I'll tell the police who delivered the summons to the trial of the guy that held me up in my store to JUST wait while I play a video game because some idiot named INK_EYES told me i can't do something IRL when playing this game. the reason that the dc penalty is universal and does not take into account internet drops is because that can not be determined easily without looking at logs and getting more information so the automatic system doesn't try to do so. (I am a network tech so i know how hard it is) The same applies here... you do not tell me how to play, the rules put forth by behavior do, and by suiciding on hook i am using in match functionality that was put there, and then made a choice to NOT struggle or i missed the key, i pressed too slowly, I pressed to quickly, I had to go rescue my 2 year old from being strangled by their clothing as they tried to clime out of the crib..... i will also tell that 2 year old that they can't need me while I play i've been told to clear my schedule. wow you are arrogant aren't you?

IIt's not f you are playing the game your attention should be on the game, easy as that. if you can't commit to the game don't start the match. and you seriously need to have a single digit Iq to get distracted from pressing a single button during struggle phase #########.
i'm sorry if i have someone knock at my door i go see what is there, if someone asks me a question in the house i answer the question, if i get a phone call i need to take i take the call. this is a GAME period end of statement. you can not know why someone did or did not struggle... period end of statement and therefor you can not know what happened.

Obioulsy not, the struggle mechanis is there to be used, if you intentionally don't use it to leave early by definition is the opposite of playing the game and we can agree to disagree on how it should be used because as it is right now it's mostly abused to quit wihout a dc penalty so nope...
again please tell me how the game will or even the other players know it was avoided intentionally or accidentally with 100% assurity. please tell me how it will know if the player got distracted or not? you can not.. HOW EVER by contrast it takes the player hitting the ESC key then mousing over or selecting the leave match functionality which is not in the confines of the match (hitting esc takes you out of the match)

I wasn't actually asking what it means, I was wondering how you can call it a minority. What you say still doesn't counter what I said about chat response. If we talk about vocal or not, I can still say that I can't remember the last gg in chat, like 10% stays silent and 90% flame like no tomorrow when this combo is used (let it be 20-80). So even if the silent ones all don't mind the addon, it is still the majority of people having a problem with it. I'm not looking for conspiracies, this is just a reflection of what I notice in almost every iri head game. And it gets confirmed by the forum day after day. Right now I see 2 people here that defend iri head in two different threads, the rest is against it
are you saying that over 40K people are saying this? where is your verified data that this is the case? i am assigning the number of 60K that i know is a conservative estimate for the number of steam players and 20K for all other platforms which is also very conservative. so that's 80K players so you have seen verified data that more than 40,000 players have stated this? please show your proof, till then i will assume that you have talked to less than that and that means you have talked to a minority of the players. show your data, show your numbers or you are not able to claim you talked to a majority. Oh also it can't be just made up numbers you have to have the ability to say you have spoken to a minimum of 1 player more than the actual 1/2 amount between all players of all platforms.

Removing struggle phase won't change those perks, since they have nothing to do with the struggle phase.
''top on that, I don't care as long as they use an in match function to get out of the game''
With your thinking I can play a game of league and allow myself to get killed and not suffer any consequences since I killed myself using the game mechanics even when that's gonna be detrimental to your team. If that's gonna be your attitude then don't start a match if you don't wanna play the whole thing.
but the question stands how will you tell the difference from someone trying to get off the hook vice someone trying to leave the match early?
You can most times see people going into struggle phase and not even attempting to struggle easy as that.
stop making this ONLY about the struggle phase! this discussion is about the suicide on hook issue! I made a tongue in cheek sarcastic remark about removing one person's ability to get off the hook in 1st stage and removing the struggle in 2nd statge as well as preventing just him/her from being pulled off the hook and sarcastically said see how it feels? wow.... just STOP.
so brand new players will be punished by your suggestion that anyone that doesn't try to struggle, and in the past 10 survivor games i got distracted at the point of struggle so i missed it 2 times and i was sac'd immediately. you are making a mountain out of a mole hill here, if you do not play the game what so ever and the rules prevent what you are doing ofcourse you should be penalized. how ever if there is an in match function that lets you conceede the match i don't care if you use it or not as long as it isn't able to be used to intentionally to tank someone's stats. just afk'ing is not using in match functionality to do anything. just STOP.

its also a fact that constructive criticism can be valid even if not expressed by every single person that plays the game. And with Iri Heads the feedback seems to be negative for many different people, be it on different platforms or people I talk to outside of the forums, independent of skill, main or anything.
only because you think it’s okay the way it is doesn’t mean the devs think the same as well. They are not pressured by a vocal minority to change it, otherwise they would also have to change OoO instead of saying they don’t touch it because statistics say it’s okay. In fact a dev already said the addon should have been changed a while ago, and we don’t know why it’s not been done.
where did I say I was opposed to it being changed? on the contrary I am fine with it being changed, but I believe people are saying it's going away because they heard that huntress is about to get an add-on pass review, thinking that they will be 100% be changed no matter what as what happened in the freddy, nurse, billy and bubba rework. I never said the devs were pressured by the vocal minority, but I will say THEY ARE pressured because of several changes in the recent past that were done... and some where they looked at what had been done and reverted it. sheesh just stop trying to find fault with what I said, accept that they MIGHT NOT remove iri head from the game what so ever! I'll be laughing my arse off if that happens and laughing at everyone in this thread that is expecting to see them gone and they aren't.
And the devs have shown their bias to survivors vs killers in their recent changes where very little affects the survivors unless it's to buff them, however I also acknowledge that they had been killer biased previous to this period of survivor bias, so that object isn't changed or removed is not a surprise. changing moris while holding on to or not doing key changes..... i mean when mori's originally received the requirement to have hooked the survivor once, they placated the killers about that by saying key changes are coming soon and that was over 2.25 years ago if not longer and keys never got changed then, now I don't expect keys to be changed. so again this is showing a bias towards survivors along with other things thus no change to object at all.

What the hell do you mean?
Deliverance (And the other perks) is/are used BEFORE the struggle phase, making the struggle phase automatic doesn't change any perks' abilities (Might've overseen something but that probably means it's some useless perk no one uses anyways)
you are 100% intentionally misconstruing anything i say. so i'll say it plainly: HOW CAN YOU DIFFERENTIATE FROM SOMEONE GOING TO UNHOOK THEMSELVES AS THE GAME ALLOWS AND "KILLING THEMSELF ON HOOK"? you can not, because the game 1) allows you to and 2) there are perks that help you do the first part.
then the struggle phase is 100% a different animal in this case, and removing the struggle phase will do nothing to this ######### on hook and make people even more upset. what needs to happen is that there should be an option IN MATCH that can be used to surrender and give up. but this also must grant any possible hook statuses remaining, any possible chase points from that survivor, and possible rescue and healing points from that survivor to the remaining players, because otherwise it's just as bad as the disconnect is.

@ChurchofPig well, what is your experience? I would say 50% DC games, 40% selfkill on first hook and the other 10% mostly end up in a regular 4k (except hatch maybe). And so far, the most addons that were complained about got changed. Like omega blink nurse insta chainsaws, Forever Freddy, yoink spirit. All those "builds" that have names got changed.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1850931#Comment_1850931
that sounds a bit too easy. I myself say that people shouldn't DC and kill themselves against iri heads because it feels great when you escape against it. But it is not just that people don't like to lose. At least not in this case. It is that the game is starting and you know it is a 95% loss, which highly kills motivation. And what do you mean with "minority"? Accepted that the forum does not necessarily reflect the entire player base. But I can't remember when I saw a gg last time against iri heads. The common chat repsonse is a bit more harsh.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1850972#Comment_1850972
I don't agree with higher movement speed being necessary to "compensate" for anything. That would remove the common punishment for failing to use your power. A good huntress can down 2 survivors with 5 hatchets, no need to give her the speedboost on top.
my experience is 1-2 people SOH intentionally/DC in my matches ON AVERAGE and that's being generous. minority? that means less than the majority of players period end of statement. what do i mean by the VOCAL minority? that means that a small sub group of the players are VERY vocal about something they like or don't like and they are seen to be the majority of (or over 1/2 of) the players that play the game exactly as I said. sometimes when you look for deeper meanings to something you loose the normal everyday context of what others say. isn't the axim "If you go looking for a conspiracy, you end up making your own conspiracy" or something like that?

I think the point of showing that is that not every iri head game ends in a 4k like some people exaggerate it to sound like.
their point in this was to be tongue in cheek sarcasm by taking the fact that the devs have said they see the average game being 2 people escape but what that doesn't say is how many matches which is probably 10's of thousands that was used to find the average. they were not being anything close to nice or to even show that it's not always a 4k, though that last is shown inadvertently.

That’s just your assumption though. With that attitude every single complaint ever could be swept away.
But i have seen many people giving negative feedback on Iri head even from the killer perspective. It’s not only people that don’t like to loose.
it's a fact that this board doesn't constitute over 60,000 players from steam, plus the platforms for ps4, xbox one, ps5, xbox series x, switch..... does not come close to it. streamers? doesn't come close to that number even when making the assumption that no one on this forum is anyone of the steam players (I'm one of the steam players). sure there are people that don't like it that don't care if they win or loose but you know something? it's fine by me if someone plays that add on, plays noed, or any other crapy perk people call toxic etc. you know what? I still play the game, and I don't demand it change unless the devs see the change. I also went over what I believe all the possible options are. just because you know a few people that don't like it and read a great many posts about it here doesn't mean everyone or even more than 1/2 the user base thinks it is toxic or should go away.... I personally only hope the devs think their changes through like they did with freddy and doc and unlike their billy rework that's all I hope.

Remove the manual struggle phase and make it automatic so that people can't deliberately kill themsleves. Look, problem solved.
But please do keep telling me what I think, I clearly require you to guide me. Should I bow down? Perhaps whisper a prayer to the greatness that is your superior intellect? What else do I think, oh great master? What other skills do I have and not have? What other opinions do I hold?
no I was being sarcastic. sure remove the struggle, you'll notice didn't talk about keeping that. what you think? it's obvious you aren't thinking about people that use deliverance, slippery meat or luck offerings. becuase those things will be rendered null and void if what you propose is to happen. also it will necessitate removing a specific achievement if what you propose to change happens. so it's doubtful it will change. top on that, I don't care as long as they use an in match function to get out of the game, that's 100% fine in my book even if i loose out as player and killer. They did not exploit the system. but the question stands how will you tell the difference from someone trying to get off the hook vice someone trying to leave the match early? you can't, that is 100% unknowable because you'd have to know their mind and the game can't know that.

@Mooks said:
I guess with all the complaints and feedback regarding this addon from both sides, it’s safe to say they will at least change something about it. Maybe not in the scope people are hoping for though..
the complaints about iri head huntress is because people don't like to loose, and are honestly put forth by a vocal minority of players and the devs know it. the people on this forum plus the others on twitch are not the full amount of players and thus it's more of one of those ideas like the "MORAL MAJORITY" which is actually a minority of people in the united states. lol it's possible that iri head will get removed but more likely as someone said it might get changed, but it could EASILY stay.

Hook suicides are the reason the DC penalty makes no sense. Seriously, its like a DC but they ge tto keep their BP. And the excuse is that it's thematic because the survivor is giving up, but... Isn't that what DCing is?
So... Can we have a suicide penalty?
please tell me how to detect a hook suicide vice someone who misses the first part of struggle? please tell me! oh i bet you have a perfect, easily way to put it into the game code as well! oh please regale all of us plebs how good of a coder you are!
BAH who am I kidding, you just want to punish people for playing the game. you equate this to disconnecting because you look at it as a disconnection but there is a difference and the difference is what makes the DC penalties legitimate. 1) disconnecting is in the rules as something you can not do unless the game is untenable (bugged and NOT your version of omg i don't like this killer that is) and then it's allowed and why there is functionality. 2) suiciding on hook is using in game functionality and disconnecting is using out of game functionality.
Disconnect penalties were required by so many that decided that they just don't want to play a certain map or against a certain killer or play style when that is not what the functionality is to be used for and that is why the dc penalties have to be there even when it's a bug issue. someone didn't think things through.

I seriously hate this mechanic and want it to be removed, force people to stay there or punish them for leaving the match early...
this is a dead horse. if you punish someone for using the in game functionality of trying to get off the hook (there is a perk to do just that 100% of the time and luck offerings to increase the chance along with another perk to increase the chance too) you punish players for playing the ######### game! you are talking as if this is the same as disconnecting, and it only is because people like you want to FIX this, FIX something that is in game.. fine here is how it will be fixed for just your account: you will get hooked, you can't even attempt to get off the hook, you can't even struggle and you can't be pulled off the hook what so ever. oh is that not fair? I'm sorry but you want to punish people for playing a game why would we care if you get punished for playing the game too?

Sorry to flood the forums with another noed thread, but I want to settle this once and for all.
Should it be nerfed?
Give you're raw, unbiased opinion about this perk. If you want my take, no, it shouldn't be nerfed and is fine the way it is.
no it shouldn't... DS is much more powerful and isn't even talked about being nerfed! gotta keep the survivors (and i play survivors) happy and give them their free out because they want to be toxic. noed takes up a perk slot and if people would get over their "I don't do bones" attitude and cleanse one, MAYBE TWO bones each match as they come across them (you know they do) and all 5 totems would be down and very little time is LOST on gens.
@lowiq said:
People often argue that pre-cleansing 5 totems is a good way to counter NOED, however it's equivalent to throwing the game if you're against a killer of the same skill level. Put another way, if there was a perk that made it so exit gates could not be powered until 5 totems were cleansed, it would hands down be the strongest perk in the game and extremely overpowered.
That being said, NOED itself isn't really overpowered. It's just frustrating. I would tune the movement speed so it still requires a bit of skill to run. Since the current iteration gives you permanant bloodlust tier 1 and allows killers to hold W without much thought.
you are wrong.... it is not throwing the game what so ever. why? because it's not designed that ONE PERSON look for and take down ALL 5 totems! it's designed that they are taken down as you come across them. it is not throwing the game to do your secondary objectives as you come along. sure will every match have all 5 cleansed? not with this attitude. I've had rank 1 killers (i'm generally a low green, high purple ranked survivor) totally not find me while i'm cleansing 3-4 totems, doing 2-3 gens and getting out of the game with 3 or more survivors because I did the totems AS I came across them, not searched for all 5 totems before even touching a damn gen. your bias shows ignorance of team style play and that is fine if you only wish to survive, I feel like you are much like those that leave me on the hook from stage one to sac just because they want to do gens because killers are campers and the killers are not even camping me! how's that for a kick in the balls? oh the killer seems "Campy" so i'll just keep doing this gen.... ######### who ever is on the hook. Well if you're going to do that, then do bones too won't have an issue with undying or noed then!

Give me a GOOD reason to use it and I'll use it, otherwise it's part of the UI that I ignore because I don't see the results in any tangible sense. I grant it is possible that it IS something that has affected me in a change or two, but I do not know so I do not use it. If you want people to use it, please show where it has affected the game AFTER the changes go in. "Well we changed this map because the majority of matches against different killers was rated as not fun so we hope that this change will change that." That's all we need to understand that this "RATING" does affect what happens and isn't just busy work for us at the end of the match.

I've had it all. I've been angry i've gotten so pissed off i said things I regret..... now I just say nice tunneling dude! or would you mind telling us to bring tents next time??? and all I care about is getting the killer to admit he tunneled or camped, nothing more as I don't care what happens as long as its within the rules (yes tunneling and camping and slugging are within the rules) as long as they admit they were doing that.
It's the idea that people need to admit and acknowledge their actions, and if they try to cover it up well that shows more about their own cares and how "toxic" they really are personally and I leave it at that. meh let it flow off your back because in the end it matters not really

Yes, this matchmaking is exploited on purpose, and its an exploit the devs dont care about.
So many reasons not to play killer anymore...
it's an "exploit" that they can't prove either. just because they pair up doesn't mean they are exploiting, they are using swf. if someone is on another account there is no proof that it is that other person at all.

you are totally misunderstanding what i was saying. I said that a rank 10 is matched in a window from rank 16 to rank 4! the number is plus or minus 6 ranks from the rank of the killer, and supposedly from the average of the swf. Lol you got me wrong, I am rank 10 as killer complaining about having high ranks surv, this is another broken side of the rank system, you can get high rank in killer fast in few games while getting high ranks in surv is much more difficult and requires much more matches which makes the rank 4 surv much more experienced than the rank 4 killer and yet in most of my matches the surv are higher rank than the killer which is much much stupid, now if you can tell how many times I said much in this very much long comment you get a much much blessings from me
as a rank 10 killer you can be paired with anyone from rank 4 to rank 16. This is if both survivors and killer queue at the same time and no one is waiting, how ever if the survivors have been waiting for a killer which does happen a good deal their window of what ranked killer that they could get starts opening up. this is what the devs have said though there is no given time frame that this starts to happen, nor is it said how much it opens up the rank window when it does start opening it up.
Also you can be matched to anyone that is within that rank window in the group of a swf this is why you can see 3 red ranks and a 20 and not be facing a swf. The window at rank 10 is enough that it may not take long that you could get the low number ranks or the high number ranks there. it is that simple, please look into what the devs have said about ranking on their own stream.
