Charger or Hunter. Witch would basically have no power. Map would have to be No Mercy Hospital. Period.

I kill them.
I know. Novel concept.

I chose an ironic name based on a perk photo.

Alot of people will tell their teammates what they find. If you see a Doc, they'll tell em its a Doc so you can run calm spirit. Thing is...some of these teammates arnt exactly thankful that they have a cheater on their team and could very well be reporting it.
This. It's happened to me a few times. I continue the game out, with bond, and report at the end. I may also accidentally lead the killer to the cheater with bond.
-
Killers I play well? Well...uh, I mean, I play pretty much every killer at least decent. I've mastered a few, and there's one I suck copious amounts of ass with. Keep in mind - mastering doesn't mean winning constantly. It simply means my muscle memory has developed for them to an extent where everything I do with them feels natural, and is optimal.
Mastered: Doctor, Wraith, Ghostface and Hillbilly. Huntress and Deathslinger too...but I don't play them much. It's just because of my history in competitive shooters. Gives me an edge.
Decent: Everyone but Legion
Worst: Legion. I hate Legion.

Unless he was bragging about it in game or elsewhere, he was banned for something else. There's literally zero way of detecting this. Not even with anti cheat.

Still know the amount of calm spirit's Ive seen has gone up DRASTICALLY since I've been doin this though.
I blame this on streamers. Only in the last few months, streamers and content creators have been doing more "detailed commentary" on their content. Especially with killer strats. Survivors are starting to realize how strong crows are for tracking. Of course, the Doc rework caused an uptick in Calm Spirit as well.

I'll give ya that, I myself pay attention when I see a crow.
RIGHT? Even if they aren't there, crows are also HUGE in determining the direction they're moving.

No, it's not a coincidence.
No one runs Calm Spirit, it's a trash perk except for usage against Doctor. =]
Imagine thinking Calm Spirit is only good for Doctor. I ACTUALLY DO run Calm Spirit, on all my survivors, thank you very much.
A lot of the time, it may not be used; but if it's a Doctor, Clown, Freddy, killer with infectious, or a killer with iron maiden, it actually contributes a lot to my ability to survive. Also - you don't disturb crows. A LOT of high rank...scratch that, SKILLED killers use crow movement in the distance as a tell for where survivors are.

I don't see it being ran by anyone on my friends list, my SWF, randos.
It's such an uncommon perk to see. Yes it has counters but plenty of people would rather run BT, DS, Dead Hard and well, like Iron Will or something. I'm only pointing out, that @LordGlint 's post is not a coincidence. They were using that thing they use to see what killer they're going against.
Maybe you and your friends wouldn't need DS if you had a perk that actually assisted you in not getting caught in the first place? <3

I agree. When they disarm, Chuck Norris should come out from behind the nearest wall and literally stare at them until they die.

Yeah, I do this as well. I consistently queue up as Legion, my worst killer, just to switch to whoever I want to play.

You play as a trans person the second half of the game. I'm not giving spoilers.
Yeah, and they ruined the story literally to shoehorn it in like they did - and if you know what I know (which it sounds like you do), you know thats exactly what they did. Shoehorn it in without doing it creatively.

The fact I have the "Insidious" perk, makes it an insidious build. Everyone plays different. This is actually old, I ran Franklins because I was sick of getting blinded, I just switched to Lightborn. Also, sometimes you burn through the "good" add on's, I agree the purples suck, but they are better than nothing. If I had the option every match, I would run CTG & the grease, the bloodweb isn't always generous with those.
That's like saying "I play candy crush on my phone. I'm a real gamer". :P
-
First of all - that's not an insidious Bubba build. Replace Franklin's with Agitation. Once you do that, it's a legit build. Also his purple addons suck and nobody would ever use them expecting to do well lol

If the money from Pride cosmetics went to related charities it would be accepted like the Charity Case cosmetics. If it went to BHVR people would complain they're using it to make a profit - like any other company that tosses a flag on a product and sells it in June.
I guess you and I just came up with what they should have done, then. Sell cosmetics and give the proceeds to relevant charities in their area.

People already complain about the random cosmetics they put out as money grabs. They do Pride cosmetics people will say they're using it just to make a profit.
Like I said they should've reached out to more in the community before doing a statement like that. Hopefully they listen to those in the community like yourself that are not happy with the way it was handled.
People would be fine with pride cosmetics for the same reason they were fine with the charity case pack. Not any different.

It seems like Cote has been having conversations about this after discussions with fans. Maybe should've reached out to more in that community, although maybe they did and this is what they came back with. Honestly not sure what best way would be for them to do it without coming across as PR stunt. Maybe if they just added the character and if people complained release that statement. I have a feeling the poor reactions to the pride emotes may have influenced them to release a statement instead of just doing it.
The best way to do it would be not to go out of their way to promote is in the way they did. Release cosmetics, do a pride event even, but the tasteless and cheap "look at this great thing we did!" promotion on twitter was just tacky.

Would it hurt the killer that much if the survivor got a second chance tho? Doubt it. I think that by then he'd guarantee a pip/blackpip,and 1 survivor escaping wouldn't be a problem. Not justifying it at all as a second chance, just a thought I had for a second.
On top of the already endless second chances survivors already have? It doesn't "hurt" the killer, but if you get yet another second chance, again on top of the many you have as a survivor, it could just make the killer lose a kill...and not cause they were outplayed. Because you were handed a second chance. It doesn't matter if it would be a problem or not. The killer earned the victory. You didn't earn the second chance, so why should you have it?
So no. You don't need it. Even the devs know this.

Ok I'm sure their was some good reason for getting rid of this but seriously can we have bacl where if your the last person in a trial you can at least attempt to get off because it's really frustrating when you haven't been hooked all game and everyone else leaves and the doors open and you can't even attempt to get off you just die
why? If your team died and you got hooked, the killer earned that win. Why do you need another second chance?

Bold statement with that opener of everyone in the LGBT community. If they were really doing this tactfully instead as a pr stunt it'd probably heve been something like releasing a skin with a rainbow bracelet or earing on. Something with less spectacle, let people notice it and come to the conclusion on their own. A small easy way to make it a part of the character without it being yet another tweet a characters sexuality thing. Pr stunt it is and I don't appreciate "ooh look at how inclusive we are" pr stunts.
Seriously though, can anything be more disappointingly fake than a representation tweet? Couldn't think of any better way to implement it? Like just implementing it without the show for your applause?
This. As a bisexual male myself, the "look at this great thing we did! love us!" ######### is cheap and old. @not_Queen @Peanits Whoever is running that twitter account and approving that stuff....think these things through. Don't use us as your PR stunts.

The devs have been pandering to heterosexuals, though, so that ship sailed long ago. Specifically, since the Nurse. Where was your outrage back then?
They haven't pandered to heterosexuals. They haven't made twitter posts advertising straight characters because they are straight, nor should they. They've even gone on record as saying that the characters sexual orientation is what we want it to be. Especially now with different cosmetics, everyone has an identity. So I repeat - this pandering is unnecessary. It's just a publicity stunt.
As for my "outrage" - listen sonny, if you're going to call it outrage, better consult a dictionary and see what outrage is. Having an opinion =! outrage.

Add them to the game I don't mind. Just don't go "Oh hey look what we did because we want to be more inclusive!"
If you just do it, there is no virtue signalling. When you make an effort to draw attention to you doing it, that is virtue signalling, which means you are being political.
THIS exactly. If there's one place politics shouldn't be injected, it's in video games. Honestly. If you as a company have to say "Look at what we're doing! Aren't we great!?", you're actually just an attention seeking, over-pandering and cheap company. You shouldn't be doing it for recognition. Just DO the thing, and be the change instead of advertising that you're the change. It cheapens the action.
-
Let's nerf keys first. Being that they are more common and can literally be found in chests.
Can I find a mori in a chest?
-
Killer is only as stressful as you let it be. If you or anyone gets that stressed over what is literally a party game, you have a problem.
-
I mean, everyone deserves to have representation or to be able to identify; but at the same time, the "they are what you want them to be" way of doing things was the best way to do this. This pandering was largely unnecessary.

Wow, what an insightful and productive addition to this thread. Honestly have a hard time taking anyone seriously when this is their only response. If you're actually taking time to respond, at least provide some insight. This is similar to a Killer that facecamps someone or a Survivor teabagging at the Exit Gate and then afterwards says 'gg ez' ...no #########, you didn't do anything but gawk and make a dumb comment.
I have a hard time taking you seriously when you think Freddy is overpowered.

The lightbulb was impossible.
Human flight was impossible.
Space travel was impossible.
Creating an MMR system might be impossible FOR YOU, but not for anyone else with the technical knowledge and drive to make it a reality.
None of those involve an AI without human input. HUMANS can do anything. HUMANS can judge things. Your point is invalid. As for technical knowledge, I create 3D models for a living here in Montreal; for video games on a contract basis. I feel like I probably have more knowledge of this process than you do. Better go make a video on it.
In all honesty - even the DEVS know it's impossible for it to be accurate and based on skill. Hence why they literally said they are prioritizing "fairness" last in the MMR, with latency being the first determining factor; but okay.

I was trying to put it nicely, but no, its not impossible. You are 100% incorrect. Any situation you can dream up in game can be configured into the algorithm. It would need to be REALLY good and would take a ton of coding and testing, but its absolutely possible. You can see this in a lot of algorithms that are already out there doing irl things that are much more complex.
The hardest part is for bhvr to define what they consider to be skillful and what isnt. Once they decide that then they can program it.
And honestly, doesnt even need to be that complicated. It can be as simple as defining a win/lose/draw condition. Over time, despite rng, tge more skilled players are going to win/draw more than unskillful players.
No, it really is impossible. There's too much player involvement embedded into skillful plays to have an accurate assessment from an AI. Period. BHVR, dev or not, does not get to define what "skill" is. The players are the measuring stick, not them. Skillful is how long you can be chased without using a single pallet, not how many pallets you can use to not be caught.
You're wrong, you will always be wrong. Keep being wrong.

I see it happen multiple times live on Twitch from the killer's perspective. There is nothing to be mistaken.
Must be a Hexy watcher, he's the only one who dodges on the regular. Then again, he also says BBQ is OP; or watching someone with no viewers. You don't see ANGRYPUG dodging. You don't see Cahla or Tofu dodging. Scott, no0b, Panda, Bahroo, Ohm etc. What special streamers are you watching?

That sounds bannable
It's not - cause it just reads a file that literally just shows the killer ID in plain text. It can be done with Notepad - which isn't a third party program, as it's literally part of the OS. It's just another oversight/screwup BHVR needs to be held accountable for; except unlike the Legion exploit, they can't go and ban people for it.

Youd be suprised what algorithms can do. It really depends on how much time, effort and know how went into coding.
Again - whether or not I'd be "surprised" is of no consequence. With the amount of RNG DBD has *IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR AN AI ALGORITHM TO DETERMINE IF A PLAYER IS SKILLED*. Period. There is no two ways about it. It's literally impossible.

How is it preparation if killers go into the steam profiles, check out how many hrs or comments thaz player got and decide to dodge the lobby due to this information? That's not preparation, that's cherrypicking ez games.
Again, you're mistaken if you think most killers do that. Most killers just queue up and wait. I'll dodge streamers that I know, but that's about it. I just don't like playing against streamers that I know. Cause I know how they play.
Survivors had that ability once. What you say killers do, they did it 100x more.
Again - many answers have been given on why this is a thing. Use the search function. You're only the 9834893849384938493849348989484th person to bring it up.
Besides, checking if a team is an SWF is a perfectly valid preparation tactic. SWF requires, as @Orion has said, a completely different playstyle. Based purely on what SWF brings. As is dodging players you know well, cause it would be unfair for them, due to you knowing how they play. Really, there was no argument against killers having this ability then, and there still isn't a valid one now.
-
It's a 4v1 game and in game the killer actually has to do more. Therefore, they get the benefit of preparation time. This question has come up many, many times. You should have used the search feature.
Also, you're mistaken if you think most killers check profiles. Most killers just queue up and wait.
-
Honestly, if you really wanna know what I think...story time.
Remember right before the Doctor rework came out a few months ago and the patch notes for that update had leaked? The patch notes for the actual update were 1:1 with the leaked notes, except one thing that was omitted (likely due to backlash, because there was a lot). Under "balance changes", it was listed that they were going to hide ranks on the post-game lobby. Nothing else. That was literally the only change. We all knew what that was about; it was about hiding their spaghetti matchmaking. Another bandaid fix. We all knew it, we all called them out on it, and they backtracked faster Mcote after telling us to go play a different game. They even went as far to say they had "no plans of hiding the ranks".
Fast forward...what...a couple weeks or so? They formally announce their plans to implement an MMR into the matchmaking algorithm. Again, anyone with a brain knew this was never going to work. Along with this announcement, they say they plan to hide the ranks in game, and along with that, matchmaking will be determined by a "hidden skill rating" (MMR) that only the devs/game will see.
I still think, and I know a lot of people still think, they aren't doing #########. They're just removing ranks as a matchmaking factor and tossing everyone into a pool of matchmaking regardless of any other factors. To be honest, that would at least be a lot more genuine that BSing people into thinking it's possible for an MMR in a game like this to be even REMOTELY accurate.
-
Yeahhh..If I'm on the hook and you go out of your way to loop the killer around me, I just attempt to kobe and ultimately dip. Literally screw you, lol
