Better ask for the basic Corrupt Intervention, it's much better and more interesting

Really? DS is just bad, it can be triggered just once per match and is actually 2 seconds to run, with a killer like nurse or blight you can't do nothing.
Iron Will is only useful if you don't have any exhaustion perk, sprint burts forces you to walk, boil over only work if the survivor takes you to a corner and you can just slug.
Self care is dead an CoH needs a totem to work.
So I don't know why people are complaining, is just one perk, you still can use call of brine, overcharge, jolt, pain resonance (still good perk)
"And all those other things either got nerfed because of game design changes (keys and insta heals) or because they stacked so well together it made it extremely hard to counter (flashlight spamming and Iron Will)."
Yes, same with slowdown perks, they stacked so well together and that's why they's nerfing them
If the DS was still 5 seconds, then the survivors would take it in the amount of 4 pieces along with off the record, dead hurd, adrenaline and this would be a new tank build, the problem in DS is not because he is strong because of 5 seconds, but the fact that it can stack with other perks and this creates an endless chase.
-
Grim Embrace should be next, every time the number of hangs of all survivors becomes equal, the generators are blocked for 20 seconds and an additional 10 seconds for each generator repaired, while the survivor who is farthest from you becomes an obsession and his aura is revealed to you for 5 second
-
I always see killers this, killers that, but it's rare that someone plays on the side of the killers and knows that there are a lot of SWF groups that even camping and tunneling won't work against. About those who try to have fun with the game, they usually play toxic, run in groups with flashlights, after unhooking they run after you to use the DS, and then whine that they were tunneled, I don’t understand these. Sawing hooks and killing all the survivors of the ground, so that later I can whine in the chat that they were slammed, I don’t understand either, they even write reports on me for this.
Before talking badly about the killers, try to achieve a huge mmr for the killers yourself, you yourself will not notice how you start camping, and when you get bored, maybe after 6k hours, you will understand that you can sweat and do without tunneling and camping at least 2 kills and have some fun for the killers.
Try not to perceive tunneling and camping as evil, try to perceive the killer as a person who wants to win imagine that a girl is playing against you (for example) and does everything possible to win. When I play swf, and this rarely happens, I don’t take cool perks, because we are swf, our strength is communication, although I know that the killer will take cool addons as always, but this does not change the essence.
P.S. I started playing for fun after 10k hours, I play with gray addons on Nemesis, Spirit and Onryo.
-
Hyperfocus is not such a strong perk, it just needs a little balance, better if: reduces efficiency (doubles the cost of charges when hitting a great skill check by half) repairing the generator.
I don’t see any visible problems with the medkits, the problem is only in the medkits themselves, I like to use medkits with sponges and addons for skill checks, as if I took the Autodidact perk

Did they say this?
It's obvious. The only reason killers don't get buffed against SWF is solo survivors who don't quite reach the swf level, if their play level gets closer it's likely that killers can be buffed.

Base corrupt would be really powerful, even if it only lasted 30-60 seconds.
Killer is in their worst position at the start of the game and this mitigates that. Means you're vastly less likely to have 3 gens pop by the time you find your first target and down them, and also means that you have less to patrol immediately afterwards to keep the pressure going.
It's not overly powerful, but it would make things easier, especially given how many basic abilities the survivors got, it's nothing compared to BT and Unbreakable. Even if you give 30 seconds of corrupt intervention, this will already force the survivors to study the map a little, and not "spawn, we fix it and leave"
-
The survivor solo buff is intentional to buff killers in the future.
It seems to me that they will add a basekit corrupt intervention for 30-60 seconds

Multple times I've done very well, gotten a +2 Pip and yet I didn't get Adept Dredge because some salty survivor DCed halfway through the match... so I get only a 3K.
Also, that's the even worse ironic part... before this latest patch, I got a +2 Pip which would have meant I got the achievement anyway.
What??! What kind of nonsense? I thought the ruthless one counts the results of the match if no one escaped. It turns out that these are the same eggs, only in profile, both the old system and the new one. I created a topic so many times that a disconnect should be counted as a kill, but for some reason the developers decided that a disconnect is not the death of a survivor xD I don’t understand this.
Somewhere I had a screenshot where the survivor argued that the fact that he poured means he escaped and I didn’t kill him xD
Please devs make disconnects count towards killer sacrifices!
-
Wait a bit, after that, I'm sure there will be a very strong killer buff, it seems to me that the developers are preparing a Basic Corrupt Intervention for 60 seconds

Take away OC + CoB + eruption completely and you can take DH away. These 3 killer perks carry some killers waaaay more then healthy. Killer couldn't catch that survivor in 40s? No problem. Just abandon chase and go kick gens. You will have another try without risking anything.
So it's generally divine, I don't like to kick generators, I'm more focused on chases, I use gift of pain, pain res, POP, jolt more often. Which petition to sign to remove these four perks?

well this whole post is a joke.
Ok let's nerf DH - it's time duration will be 0.495s instead of 0.5s. Let's nerf eruption. New eruption will cause explosion that regresses the gen by 2,5% and survivors can't repair it during the animation.
As I said before, you can nerf at least half of the killer perks, I agree, I completely agree if DH is never in the game.
-
@DrFrozen said:
I mean, this perk needs serious changes. Survivors are complaining about Eruption that disables them for 25 seconds but also are running DH which extends chase for 25 seconds.
In my opinion:
Dead Hard: Grants 8% Haste status effect for 1 second and causes exhaustion for 40 seconds. ( no longer will be used to mitigate hit but only for slight amount of distance so you are almost as fast as spirit is )
Eruption: Causes affected gens to explode losing 9% of it's total progress, starts to regress ( instead of 10% ) and blocks the gen for 25 seconds. Survivors who are working on it will additionaly scream, and injured ones will be incapacitated for next 20 seconds. ( making incapacitation affect only injured survivors will be punishment for gens before friends ) Perk has 30 seconds cooldown.
He wins on these killers, all right, but between the lines, he says that on killers against whom you need to press DH use only monkey brain, namely against Huntress he no longer plays for the reason that the perk is too strong against such killers. In essence, he says that you can play as other killers and everything will be fine. But what about the ones who aren't as good at Blight as MomoSeventh or the Nurse not as strong as SupaAlf, the Huntresses who aren't as good at throwing hatchets as Coconut? Just eat DH and smile?
I play for Nemesis, for example, he didn’t stand close to the listed killers, I also play for Bubba and the old Dead Hurd was just sawn, now the surviving wounded can run the pallet and I know for sure that if he doesn’t drop it, he died, so he owes it drop, but uses DH and does not drop the pallet.

Scott plays both sides about the same amount. Watch it. It is super relevant to everything in this thread.
Scott, does not play for absolute victory, he doesn't care about wins or losses, I'm not saying that he is not objective, he just plays for fun, he can find interest in a weak perk, he also claimed that Circle of Healing is too strong a perk , Hyperfocus needs a nerf, for him a strong perk is one that does not need to be used and everything works automatically. He doesn't play on generators or tunneling, he loses most of his matches due to "well balanced" DH, lack of tunneling or camping in certain situations, like I said, he plays for fun, for content, I am his subscriber, I'm happy for him, but we are not discussing his point of view here, since his point of view can hardly be called the point of view of a normal player.
He said that the old deadhard allowed to fully finish the attacks, but why is that bad? The survivor managed to get into the pallet and die in it, you still had a possible bloodlust, you didn’t slow down quickly moved away from the cooldown when you missed, everything is on your side, now you hit and lose everything. He said in the video that it's still about ping, not everyone has a server, you know, and it doesn't always throw you on a good server nearby, so if you don't hit a person in advance, you may lose the chance to hit at all. Sometimes survivors deadhard early and I see the end of the animation and hit and hit the DH like they don't have 0.5 seconds, but 1 second it lasts.
Waiting for dead hurd is not fun, waiting for DH is wasting precious time, which the killers already have so little.
-
I didn’t read everything, I’m sure everything is on the case, put vote up
Dead Hurd really should have been drowned at birth.
-
In part, I’m right with the author, pulling out 1 second earlier was more interesting, at the beginning I didn’t enthusiastically accept this idea, but after playing for the survivors, I realized that it’s difficult and not so strong, and it doesn’t feel like killers at all, everything seems to be the same, I was afraid that they would break out straight 4-5 seconds earlier, but 1 second does not always play a role.
-
Dear GrimReaperJr1232,
I read your point of view and I got the impression from reading that the perk is stronger than its predecessors, besides you deliberately pointed out that MOM was not countered by 10 or more killers with basic attacks, now I'm wondering how the new DH is different, it can be pressed against any attacks, and as you indicated, only three killers can counter it. If he's only countered by three killers, how will that help me?:)
-
@YOURFRIEND said:
Just nerfing something because people use it is silly. Does it do gens faster? No. Does it heal faster? No. It's just an info perk. Not a big deal.
If the killer injures all the survivors, and then catches up with one of them who did not throw off all the pallets on the map, then no one will have time to fix the gen or healing, is it logical?
-
@Pulsar said:
Yeah, saying that the DH change was actually a buff is pretty hysterical.
It was a nerf. Calling it anything else is disingenuous. Whether or not it needs further adjustment is up for debate, personally, I don't think so. That's why it's a debate though.
What is the nerf? The survivor presses DH to get on the pallet, and then he can fall in it, and now the survivor press DH in the pallet, but now he gets a sprint and runs away to Narnia? and the pursuit continues even longer than if he used the old DH? The new DH allows you to survive Bubba's chainsaw, zombie strikes, get a speed boost where everything used to fly through you, now you are happy to catch it because of the boost.
How do people not realize that survivors don't press DH to avoid attacks in an empty field, they press it in situations where you have to lunge
-
@HugTechLover said:
Dude, you ask for some strange nerfs on here. Lol
WoO is nowhere overpowered. Trying to loop without it, being brand new, is nigh impossible.
I can loop without fine, but it helps see what RNG we got, and what dead zones my teammates created. That is nothing super oppressive or deserving of a nerf.
As I wrote earlier, the problem is not that he is strong or not, the problem is that those teammates who make these dead zones use this perk. The problem is that it's a challenge for survivors to drop everything that's highlighted, run towards everything that's highlighted, then fall off the Circle of healing. These are the teammates in random.

Skill issue?
In all seriousness I don't understand modern-day complaints over Dead Hard. It isn't difficult to counter, even with basic killers like Sadako.
There is no reason for you to have to work for it, and any other effect would legitimately ruin what Dead Hard was intended to be.
If anything I might argue that Dead Hard needs a buff, to last a few milliseconds longer to make it viable against poor-connection killers.
That being said, Halloulle is right. You've already made up your minds and nothing I can say will change that.
Have a good night, fellas.
What other skill issue are you talking about? What skill is needed to press E at the moment of the killer's swing in the pallet? I still understand if you caught up with the survivor to the pallet and wait for DH, but when you need to swing you have no choice, what are you talking about?
"I can 4k with it in the match or without it."
The fact that the survivors lose with deadhard is not a problem with the weakness of the perk, if you use this logic, you can survive with No mither 5-10 matches in a row and say that it needs to be nerfed.
DH is still the top 1 perk in the game, and it's not because of its weakness that it's being used, being able to just have an additional health level every 40 seconds, it's too strong, it's much stronger than MoM at the time of release.
-
Garden of pain. Recently I played there, and there were about 6 pallets near the shack, and I'm on Onryo, and these pallets cannot be beaten, the loop around these pallets is too big
-
Im Killer main, but I started out as a Surv Main. And I believe, like the developers, that killing should not benefit the killer, other than reducing the number of workers
-
@Wowie said:
There is nothing wrong with the current Dead Hard. It is a fun and balanced perk, and I believe that unironically.
What's the balance of being wounded every 40 seconds to have an additional health stage? Now show me how you will wait for the dead hard survivor who presses him in the pallet?
-
And dead hard
-
I want to make an archive about Feng Min
-
There are several reasons. I could of course answer the first one, but the first one sounds like I'll dodge high prestige with survivors, when in fact, I only dodge low prestige when playing Spirit, I think it's a good decision, because I can decide to waste my time low ranks where I waste pudding and everyone dies quickly or get good survivors and everything pays off. I can also exit if I see a huge ping, you can see it at the beginning (because the bug will hide the high ping later, as if it were normal)
I also try to bypass suspicious accounts, hidden ones with a small number of hours in the game and 100th prestige can be cheaters.
-
I think it's our choice to want to leave the match or stay, if the survivors do nothing, then I should have the choice to leave the match. I die on the first hook, never disconnect
-
I already created a couple of posts a long time ago on the topic of re-crafting unnecessary add-ons and offerings for stronger ones, but the developer did not listen. I really support the idea.
-
@BlueHorkew said:
What does Appraisal have to do with WoO, i don't see the connection.
Second it's a good perk yes. But it really doesn't impact Killers, so why nerf it.
If the survivor is good and already knows the map, they can do what a survivor using Windows does and better as they have an extra perk slot.
Also there are perks and add-os that apply blindness, so there is counter play there.
But again, if the survivor is good, the map will destroy the killer not windows.
Also, who uses appraisal, great they made a bad perk worse. The perk is fine, it's a good perk. There are so few good survivor perks
And what is the "connection" that the developer said that each with the established meta they will change the perks? In the post that I cited, they nerfed the perk with the words that you need to walk around the map and look for chests, why does this apply to some perks to others, and to weak perks does not apply to strong ones?
-

Why do they need this perk?
Already answered. It helps you to see what is available instead of guessing and hoping - it enhances skills you already have which is what a perk is meant to do.
What's the rest of the team supposed to do if they can't use palates anymore?
Gens. Which if someone is looping effectively enough to use every palate on the map you should be more than capable of doing. Also, mind gaming, Windows, stealth and other perks to give advantages I.e sprint burst, lithe, dead hard, unbreakable, boil over etc. Also let's not pretend that everyone who runs WoO Will instantly pull the palate, because they don't.
Still no reason for a nerf.
You see, we have come to an agreement that the perk should highlight used pallets. Like I said, survivors have to use their brains. My opinion is that players should play, not perks. The developers have also said more than once that for some things, players still need to use their memory and turn on their brains.
I'm NOT against highlighting part of the pallets, I'm against highlighting everything without studying the map.

Yeah, you've gotta use third seal for consistent value. Is it good? No. But it's fun to use it and see 3/4 Windows at the end game.
If it wasn't a totem, it would be useful, but use it to make the game more attractive for playing such a thing, but if I go for the survivors, a person with this perk (Woo) will come in and the map will go bald
-
@JPLongstreet said:
No nerf is justified. Is a great noobie perk for learning pallet spawns and loops, and vets still get value out of it for both seeing what rng are in tiles around them, and for seeing what resources have been used or not. But by no means is it OP.
It seems that not everyone understood the topic of the post. Nerf not because the perk is strong, nerf because the survivors do not turn on the brain. They don't leave pallets for others and the survivors of my matches die for this reason, many even give up on the hook. Let's take killer perks, one of my favorites is Dissolution, what you need in fact for it to work, you need to hit a survivor and chase, make him drop his pallet and catch it, but if he jumps over it, he may have the Lithe or Dead Hard perk, so I take the Fearmonger and I run after the survivor who just touched the generator. I use a combination of perks and strategy. There is also the Corrupt perk, what does it essentially do? It closes the genes, but does not allow dominating at the beginning of the game and turns off, which makes it possible for us to give a couple of hits, set traps, etc.
A good perk, it's a perk where you need to think, where you need to run across the map for it to work, where you need to perform a function, where you get other abilities nerfed. It's like a take End-fury for killers (There is a good pre-drop strategy against this though).
The conclusion is, my idea is that the perk should only highlight the pallets that you ran through, as if writing them on the map. I'm already silent about the game against Dredge, there are generally like lighthouses on the map.
-
@MoNosEmpire said:
Not everything needs a nerf just because survivors like it. I kill survivors with windows EZ
I haven't seen players use perks just because they like them. Regarding this perk, I think they use it to leave other players without pallets.

@jesterkind said:
I was lured in with the promise of an irrefutable argument, and I'm a little disappointed.
I'm not sure what citing Appraisal is meant to achieve here. Surely that actually supports the current version of Windows, right? Because survivors aren't sticking in the same loop to make the most of it, they're moving around the map to chain together all the pallets and windows that they possibly can. Whether you like that gameplay loop or not, if you want to use Appraisal's nerf as a metric, then that metric points towards the current Windows being totally fine.
(I don't really think you should use Appraisal as a metric since they're very different perks, but still.)
Honestly, I just don't really see the point in nerfing Windows. Either the stuff they can see is problematic for them to use, or it isn't; whether they have auras or just a good working knowledge of how maps spawn should be irrelevant to that topic. At best, you'd be saying that broken map design is fine if survivors can't see it and might not know about it, and I'm not sure I agree with that sentiment.
The reason I remembered the perk is the phrase they wrote that the survivors should inspect the map. What's the point in a perk if the survivors mindlessly walk like zombies on a luminous pallet, even if it illuminates them when they run next to it outside the chase.
-
@jajay119 said:
Firstly, I don't understand why the appraisal thing is valid supporting evidence to nerf WoO . Let alone one that makes it 'irrefutable'.
Secondly, WoO is not about not studying maps - everyone knows there is often a palate in a cluster of walls or roughly where a window will be, but rather knowing what is there to use and what isn't at a distance and chaining useful tiles together to take up as much of the killer's time as possible while gens are being done.
This is still entirely possible without the perk and good loopers do not even need it. Contrary to your statement that you don't need to mindgame with it I would completely disagree and say unless you can effectively mind-game the killer it's can be a completely wasted perk slot. Mind gaming isn't about knowing where a palate is; it's about keeping the killer in an appropriate place so they cannot hit you and some killers are excellent at negating this whether you have WoO or not. In fact, I would say sometimes survivors can be so focused on their goal it makes it very easy for the killer to telegraph what they're going to do and make it work in their favour. Most killers don't even bother to break palates anymore which goes to show how impactful WoO actually is. (Edit: Also, not be disrespectful, but if your games genuinely are consistently like the image above then perhaps you need to work on impriving your killer mind game)
But my main point is... WoO is principally used to waste your time - if it's boring for you then it's achieved it's goal. If you don't enjoy the chase then don't commit to it and go and pressure gens or down survivors who cannot loop as well.
Thirdly , "yes I win" is pretty much a iron clad reason refute your call of an ner . "I win, but not quick enough" isn't a valid reason to nerf perks.
Last time I heard 1,2,3 - buffed bleeding. If the survivors know everything, then why do they need this perk? They just don't understand that after destroying all the pallets, they die with the team, they wasted time with the pallets, ok, what will the rest of the team do if they can't use the pallets anymore? They need to learn how to use at least one pallet.

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/B8LUS8CSTO13/imagen-2023-01-03-160547926.png
Again, the "gen regression" killer meta is a counter play to the current gen rushing survivor meta and I don't think anyone would say to not nerf it, but what many people do in here is for BHVR to nerf killer meta and not touch survivor meta as "it is fine". Both metas should be addressed in tandem so one side not get ahead to the other. Simple as that.
I said that the perks that you mentioned are not found more often in survivor builds, most often it is DH, Opportunity. The circle of healing does not create problems, adrenaline too, if you nerf the first two perks, then in general everything will calm down. Killers only have a problem with the Eruption perk.

@Dream_Whisper said:
I would say the same for Boon: CoH, Prove Thyself, or even new Off The Record. But, you are missing the point, Devs do not regularly do updates every so often, unless it is a mid-chapter update; and even if they touch; they are not also addressing main problems plaguing the game such as Camping/Tunneling by killers, imbalance huge map designs/tiles, solo que vs. SWF teams, etc.
The devs have yet to offer any significant solutions besides bandfix with new perks; and they not addressed the current meta for killer which is that they need gen slowdown/regression builds to keep Pressure on all Survivors. Most average or weak killers do not have any slowdown built into their power, and the ones that do are high tier killers like pig, pinhead, etc.
I would be totally down with nerfs to regression perks if it means buffing basic killer's with slowdown in their power.
The perks you mentioned are not so common and not so strong, but the one that you didn’t name needs a nerf and absolutely in every match
-
This is not a bug, it's just that the developers for some reason did not make disconnects in favor of killing or sacrificing. I already wrote this a couple of times in feedback, but no one ever thought of doing it on account of murder or sacrifice. Apparently this counts towards the survivor's escape.

Everyone already agrees that it is necessary to make it faster, this has already been discussed many times in all topics. The developers have been delaying fixing this problem for half a year, they don’t even give answers or any posts. What is very disturbing
