How is it nothing like whispers? Both give you situational awareness within about the same range, and rely on your ability to interpret that information to make good use of them. I feel like the increased action speed on spine chill is mainly there so if you are so potato you can't even notice the perk is lighting up, you get a color change in your action bar to notify you instead.
If I said, the guy who wants to kill you is nearby, or the guy who wants to kill you is looking right in your direction, which one of those would freak you out more. Spinechill is a better perk in every way, and they are similar only on a base level. They're both information perks. One just is way better and doubles as an advantage perk. The advantage being the action speed boost

YES, exactly. Either they are bsing or they have no clue what Spinechill does.
Yep. This is who they're balancing the game around lol. People who think whispers is just like spinechill. Never played killer beyond getting challenges I bet

I get what you're saying bro, these people are playing dumb. Spinechill let's you know they are LOOKING right at you. That is not the same as uh they're basically around there. Survivor mains in here bsing

Way to come in here with a totally crap attitude and throw around accusations along with irrelevant advice.
1. I didn't camp.
2. Others have already explained how that's not possible with the scores.
3. I never said I didn't want the messages, it's entertaining.
4. If you don't have anything nice to say, be quiet.

True but what if they're just hiding from the get go. You go to a gen, find nobody. Sure they may be slowed but they could just hide like a blendette. Perhaps his ability is that as long as he looks at you, you get a speed rebuff that persists for maybe 2 seconds after ward so that he can still mind game around walls?
You could be right, I like both ideas. I like that they encourage a new way for survivors to play. I just like the whole idea of pyramid head in the game. I mean his whole purpose is stalking and killing. Already has a song for him. And a silent hill map is better than anything we've gotten so far
-
@PodgeNotRodge said:

It can only be Pyramid Head though as he was the signature icon of the series. We need the siren playing as his terror radius when in the vicinity. Thing is, he is a natural slow entity in the game (atleast in 2 and he represented the manifestation of James Sutherland and his Judgment) so unless they either make him Nurse speed but with great power or 4.2 he just isnt going to work no matter how much we want him :/
It's cool in concept, he is EVERYONES JUDGEMENT but I'm not sure what his ability would be to make him viable.
You could just make the siren like huntress whistling, you hear it way before inside his radius. And once in his radius, you're slowed like freddy's snares. But permanently until you escape his radius. This would mean you could only hide against him once he's on you. A very different killer, would change the game in a good way. I'm glad OP posted this

Well complaints overall haven't slowed because of posts like this. You're literally complaining that survivor isn't a cakewalk anymore (it still is)

I am not taking any side in any of these whine threads.
Just gonna sit back and watch y'all snowball this game into the ground while trying to get what little enjoyment I can left out of this game.
These forums have come a complete joke do to people like the op and the low count new thread complainers.

I think you made a great point. Them already making the killer able to close the hatch was a wrong move. The least they could do is speed up the time for the hatch to open.
On the killer closing the hatch/you jumping at the same time issue, definitely the player jumping should take precedence. The other 3 survivors are already dead/dc'ed, it's only fair that if a survivor finds the hatch and initiates the jump sequence, that they should be able to escape.
This comment was so shamelessly biased it gave me diabetes
-
Like someone already said, you have to wait for a game with only 1 survivor and a killer. It eliminates the options that would have been there if you played solo. How do you not understand this.

If they changed her to an Oni type character it would be fair. Make her have to gain power for it while she's hunting you. In chase. If you allow her to be on your tail too long, she has one hatchet charged up to full and can instantly down you with an on target throw. She now must chase you to use it, and must still be accurate. And limits her to one per chase.

Yes, but then the you can just use perks like pop or ruin to counter that. In my experience of playing pig the past few weeks is, survivors will either completely forget about the 99% gen, which allows it to completely regress. Or they'll try and rush gens, resulting in 2+ plus traps activating at once, which ends in one or 2 head pops.
Do you actually play pig much? Because it honestly sounds like you don't, or you play her poorly.
Just lol. I don't play her much or I play poorly, but you're the one who thinks survivors have 2 head pops in a game. She is weak. Survivors know how to counter traps just like plague. Head pops almost never happen. Because people know they're weak rules. You must play her at level 20. I play her even though she's handicapped simply because im a Saw fan.

Very different. You're trying to make the comparison of a key to a perk. Keys can be countered by perks or you dealing with the person with the key. VERY different. Sorry you're trying to make a very different comparison because you got ######### over in game by a key.
Uh actually an add on is worse than an offering because it can be saved with an offering. Lmao

You said yourself that the idea was to discourage teamwork and turn the game into a 1v1 instead of a 4v1. In what way is that not encouraging further division between the survivors?
You mentioned division and toxicity. It would in no way make the community more toxic. That's why I said it is not divisive in that way

Yes it does. Sorry if you don't like that the two are comparable. The issue at hand is unfun short matches. It is within reason to mention every way this issue occurs if you are genuinely looking to fix it for everyone and not just the side you favor.
-
@Fibijean said:
I have to say, I can't see how encouraging more division between players is going to help toxicity levels any.
It's not encouraging division, it's picking a game model and sticking to it. Your game is either 4v1 or 1v1. Cant balance around both ways. This just makes it 1v1 and if someone helps you that's a bonus.

The idea of locking character escapes behind specific doors is not good, because the killer could just stand in front of the gate and if that persons still alive then they get a kill for free.
And actually the killer is smart they will have to check all gates in that situation. meaning the survivor actually gets a free escape as soon as the killer leaves their door. It's like hatch but better honestly.
-
@Awkward_Fiend said:

You mean the same way they can camp doors now? And only have two options?
Specific doors would make it extremely stupid to camp one door, you'd be letting 3 out for free every time. And the killer wouldn't know what door is a specific survivor's. So let's say 3 die and one is left and the last gen pops. The killer has to guess which door is the last survivor's door. Not a good idea to camp any door in that situation. Your counter argument is simply wrong

Crouching and charging up a dash attack only takes a few seconds, it's also a hell of a lot quicker than looping the survivor around that pallet wasting 3 times more time. Her traps also puts the game to a grinding holt, so you have penalty of time.
No her traps do not. You could essentially 99 all gens before one even activates.
-
I don't think it's fun when 3 survivors just jump through a hatch either. Talk about short matches
-
I made a feedback post yesterday. Stating that if you make the survivors have to individually do something for themselves in order to leave, you can then buff solo a lot. Because it becomes one vs one. Every man for himself. But nobody commented on that lol

If they did this survivors would have to be able to open each other's doors, to help each other, just not able to leave through them.
That would defeat the purpose.
The point is to discourage teamwork and balance around 1v1
That way you can keep the OP perks that already treat the game like it's 1v1
-
@LetsPlayTogether said:
Players like the OP are the only ones that wont understand how the game is designed to be played. Thats exactly why it is so annoying to play survivor. Players like OP just undermine every game mechanic to make the experience of others the most miserable as possible.
You didn't mention anything about how the game is supposed to be played. You just threw a baseless accusation out there.

He is fun to play against and not extremely easy to win with. I was the last only to escape the other day and it was intense wondering if I was going to get shot in the back before I could get out haha

@helix43 said:
Her dash doesn't need changing, you can use it to mind game loops. I've been able to shut down chases fast with it.
That is not it's intended purpose and is just a weak validation in my opinion. In this game seconds are precious. Why on earth would be wise to in the middle of a hot chase, crouch, wind up, and hold? Those are inputs you're doing. While the other player is just running. That's not prudent at all. And highly unreliable. I doubt anyone would be able to successfully replicate getting hits off of crouch and dash mid chase back to back

Unless there was an update recently that I'm unaware of, Reverse Bear Traps with timers that started cannot be escaped with. They will instantly kill the Survivor. However if the timer hasn't started, say the Pig placed the traps on Survivors after the exit gate was powered, then yes they can leave. Due to the fact that there isn't a trigger for the timer to begin.
Reading this post made me want to play the Pig so I did at Rank 1. Mind you, I only used her 3 unique perks and the Survivors were kinda potato. I got a 4k, but only at Ruthless status. I was unable to use Crouch effectively (I don't play her often) to ever get an ambush hit off and the mind game was minimal and hard to pull off (location was Coldwin Farm). Traps were surprisingly effective this time since Survivor's weren't getting them off immediately after the first box. However something to note is that I don't put traps on people until they have to repair 3 more generators. To me, it's a lot easier to hunt and kill people when the area they have to effectively work in is smaller and smaller.
Had I gone against a better group of Survivors and had I not been so lucky, I would've definitely lost. I don't even think I'd scrape by with a 1k without camping at the end. Her add-ons are fantastic, I would concur that the base kit does need some form of a buff. Especially the crouching and ambush. I can't get points off ambush dash unless it's mid chase and I get lucky depending on the area or the Survivor is a potato/not running spine chill and they somehow let me strike them even after hearing that ridiculously long roar.
You can still hatch escape if it's started. Just happened to me before my rant here lol. I put it on before the last gen and hooked her. Gen popped, team came and got her. I opened the door because they had 99d it anyway. They escaped and she jumped through the hatch with it beeping

I honestly didn't know that the timers didn't just start as soon as you got unhooked so that very well could be the case :D
Yep your timer does not start until a generator is completed
But to your other point, a killer could put it on at the end. But if I saved my traps until the end, that means no one had to deal with them until the end. It goes both ways. And isn't that like the ultimate Saw ending? You think you've figured the game out but then I put the bear trap on you and say Game Over. Just like the movie.
After all I still have to catch you at the end to do that

Then I think her crouching and stuff should be faster, yeah
And then honestly? Rework of the traps because they're basically useless
Yeah I honestly think ghostface works more like she should have than her. Right now she's a stealth character with stealth not even being her strongest attribute

@animalmak said:
I don't know if I agree with the healing part, unless you mean the person with a trap shouldn't be able to heal others. But I know when I have a trap on my head, regardless of whether my timer is going down or not, I try to get it off. Sometimes I want to be healed first, however, so that if Pig inevitably goes after me, I at least get another shot at running away. But I don't think I've seen many people wasting time in waiting to take the traps off. If I have one, that's the FIRST thing I do, not other objectives.
If anything, I'd say make the timer start as soon as the person's unhooked. The survivor can't do anything but go around to Jigsaw boxes, and Pig knows she has one less survivor to worry about because they'll be running around trying to get the thing off, or they'll die because they didn't before the timer stopped. Though my friends and I have also said that we wish there was a specific number of Jigsaw boxes required (maybe two or three) that each do a portion of the trap, so you HAVE to do those two-to-three boxes to get it off. As great as it feels to get the trap off on the first box, that really undoes Pig's power, and having to go to every single box on a large map is just so much.
I like the going to more than one box being mandatory idea
-
I'm curious as to why you say no to the first one. What is not fair about it? Or how is it not in line with her lore? Or is she just a Pig skin with props on a generic killer?

Everyone always spouts this but it is bollocks. Yes, those gens get done and x number of people escape but the person(maybe even multiple people) who got camped had their game ruined. A game they potentially queued for 10mins+ for.
It is ######### behaviour by ######### players intent on ruining the game for someone. Saying everyone else should do gens and leave doesn't fix the fact that the person on the hook has had their game ruined and their time wasted.
I would like a perk where if the survivor is being camped for a number of seconds they get teleported to a different hook across the map, 10 seconds before they teleport the other survivors see the aura of the destination hook so they can be there ready to unhook them. Named something like "Now You See Me"
So basically you just want the killer to let you off the hook. Lmfao

Can you name objective factors that make one of these two Hillbilly players better than the other?
Both of them play double engravings and both of them know how to curve and parkour as Billy so what makes one of them better than the other player?
Everything you say they do well is a skill. You're right, anyone can attain it. Instinct combined with top notch skill is what makes better players in this game. Simply put, some people are smarter than others. and if you have the same skill as me, but I'm smarter, I am better. Very simple. You can judge this by comparing the number of better judgment plays by each player
-

Simply Boring. I hate the killers that you can only counter them by Gen rush only, like him or like Spirit.
Just compare him with other killers like Billy, Huntress, and Nurse as top tier killers, They are fun to face and strong but with some weaknesses. You can easily see a huge different between skilled ones and not skilled ones. But with Freddy they all the same to me and can 4k if the team didn't start the game perfect and gen rushed him.
You hate playing against killers that aren't so weak you can trifle about doing nothing, lollygagging about the map. Fixed it for you. Lol, he makes us have to do our actual objective if we want to live, boooring 🤣🤣
-
People hate him because he strikes fear in them. Ya know, like a killer should.
They bank on pallets and loops having the same tired counters: abandon chase, loop until bloodlust, eat the pallet and break, fake eat the pallet and break
Freddy has his own counters on top of these. Thus he is unpredictable.
Survivors hate that. Simple. Once they learn how to run a killer they assume they should be able to run anyone who controls the killer.
You cant do that to freddy because he has every perk at his disposal along with unique counters that vary in his base kit. Basically if you run freddy, you're actually good. He's not boring
-
What I don't get Is where it'll ever be "fun" to lose or be dominated/outplayed. It's not fun when you can't work on a gen without getting sick? Ok why? Probably because that's stopping you from winning. It will never be fun for a killer when survivors win, and it will never be fun for a survivor to lose. In most scenarios. Of course you can have some fun chase games. Losing is not fun. And what you're saying is you want them to contort the game until losing feels fun. Why? Then what's the point?
-
So basically, they added a unique killer to the game. And you can't just brain dead rinse and repeat actions to beat her. Her power and vomit is actually a deterrent to you working together, as intended. And you have a problem with that.

intended or not, what game company in their right mind would go out of their way to reduce their player base and tone their game down from AAA to niche cult classic with a smaller player base? They want the numbers, they want the money, they want to keep the game going strong.
Ask CSGO. Who almost no one plays on console, yet they make mad money off of their loyal fanbase on PC. The obvious smaller platform of gamers.
