Seems to me that Stridor being a trump-over perk against iron will is rather annoying and beats the whole point of the surv's perk in the first point, also this is overly used by the Spirit and gives the only chance of your survival away.
They could make some tweaks so it works differently, I have no issue whatsoever with the breathing sound, but grunts may just be too much as of right now.

Trapper pretty much became hide and seek with his own traps right now, holy cow.
I can barely spot those without the guide, I don't know how the trapper mains are gonna manage this atm without being disgusted.

I'm colorblind and thought these changes were just screwing me over harder. I'm honestly glad to see others are having issues since BHVR haven't been willing to give ANY colorblind options in 4 years (I don't give a ######### about blood, let me change the auras that are normally red since they're supposed to be visible, and scratchmarks, holy #########)...if others hate it too then there's a chance in hell we'll get it fixed.
I do hope colorblind players get options really soon, been asking for 'em aswell since the game is all around auras and scratches, so best of luck, maybe they will do something soon.
-
I don't get why this has to be a thing sometimes, (like Cheryl's normal sets) we all have seen by now the shirtless david with pants that makes his pelvis disappear into nothingness and all.
They could unlink them at some point and possibly fix the aesthetic issues it brings with other parts, but as far as I can tell, another user's image doesnt really show an issue with being unlinked so, it's kinda silly.
Edit: Typo

I absolutely loved Feng and Jane from the surv side, Yui is so barebones to me, she's not getting good skins at all.
Clown is pretty neato too, but Oni is amazing straight away, didn't expect them to do a minotaur at all.
I am liking the path they're taking for some cosmetics lately.

i don’t know why they changed auras all of a sudden. They’re awful, tiny, ugly. If anything, remove the damn blob after killer hooks someone. I think both sides could agree on that. Bring back the old auras
Damn right, can't tell how many times this blob hid the killer away from sight and pretty much closed a lot of distance on me, it gets annoying.
-
I would like to see some more images if you people got some, I actually can't check it myself but jesus this ain't looking good.
I thought it was gonna be better when I checked on the patch notes.
-
I'd love to see something that wasn't just running around an item and looping it for a whole minute before throwing the pallet, it gets pretty mind-numbing for survivors and boring to play as/against.
-
Wake up is such a broken perk mate, why do they have the chance to open the door before i get 5 stacks of remember me???
THAT'S LORE UNFRIENDLY I DEMAND A NERF
-
You've got the attitude, thanks for showing up on the forums.
Also loving the build, it's pretty neat, one gets super tired of seeing the same stuff over and over again.
Hope you having a good one.
-
If you use Legion, what is the point of their benefit?
They're more of a liability to their team by attempting to heal more than anything else, it's the main killer who takes the advantage of it.
The snowball effect thanks to that and some other paired perks can make a big difference.
-
That is one fishy clip.
I would report as many others say, could be hacking.
-
This pass is looking a looot better than others, shame that the meg outfit is premium track, it's pretty lit.
Also Hag is amazing, I've loved that skin.

Fair enough if the killer is tunneling, but the timer is so long, that it rewards bad players even if you don't tunnel. Everyone with at least 5 hours in the game can hit that skill check USUALLY. Also, if the counter to the small pp build is waiting the timer out, you are literally throwing the game because of your low map pressure. I was around when old DS was a thing and it was ludacris, maybe it's a less ludacris now, but it's still dumb.
Unnerving presence doc would like to know your location.
-
Nerfing the only thing that keeps solo players from suffering some obnoxious tunneling issues seems like a terrible idea.
And as many others have posted before, it's just a 5 second stun within 60 seconds after being unhooked, for the most part I've seen killers deserving to get the stun due to being toxic or just playing badly overall.
Sure it can use some changes like many other perks since the meta is not gonna change just yet, but I wouldn't touch it as everything is right now, besides, once used you're out with 3 perks.
-
Why is the streamer's video relevant to this?
It's not your gameplay nor your own experience really, using someone else's seems out of place to me.
-
These two together can be B.S yeah, but then again, they're just one use only and the DS can be missed, if you take down the player with those early they're gonna be with only two perks left.
And pretty much Pyramid head takes out any chance for DS with the cage or the unbreakable play so, you've got a solid counter if you own him.

not looking for sympathy. just find it funny how "riled up" people get over a game.
I mean, if your concept of fun is playing like this and just riling people up, it's not a wonder why everyone starts being 4 SWF bullies to ruin your day (and others's days for that matter) thanks to this attitude.
Maybe you should do something else.

Killers have every right to complain because the game is still survivor-sided (going on 4 years now). The map rework was a nice step in the right direction, but unfortunately map design is still abysmal.
The devs have A LOT more work to do before the game starts becoming relatively balanced.
And your claim about how the devs balance around high end PC players is completely false. I wish that were the case though. Because then the devs would realize how strong survivors actually are and balance the game accordingly.
I fail to see how the game is still survivor-sided when it never was for any solo player to begin with.

Cosmetic options have nothing to do with how grindy the game is.
How grindy the game is also has nothing to do with Auric Cells.
Rift challenges provide additional BP to help with grind WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY FOR THE PASS.
There are still TONNES of cosmetic options that can be purchased with Shards, which again is completely irrelevant to gameplay, and are simply a choice of personal expression.
Do I miss seasonal events? Yes.
But nothing you brought up justifies anybody getting “free money” on top of the already large volume of available free things “just because”
BHVR has chosen one of the worst battle pass ideas I've ever seen in any game.
-There's no point in buying it if you're not getting extra challenges and/or exp in order to finish the battle pass with more ease than somebody who's got the free version of it.
-Recolors are easy to do and they simply are unoriginal, these cosmetics are mostly recicled and therefore, for that, you're not getting anything really big.
-The rift is filled with a bunch of charms that you will likely never use as most are dull.
-The sense of any battle pass made to this point is to get more money than you paid for in the first place if you manage to finish it, but this one instead takes and gives the same amount only if you finish it. Sucks for people who have to work.
-Challenges only give BP and a very few tiers in order to help, then there's nothing else but doing way too many matches.
And guess what, it's thanks to people like you that this kind of system is exploited and nobody cares to realize that in comparison to other battle passes, this is ultimately just terrible and abusive in grind.
MIND YOU, you've payed for DBD, you're paying for DLCs, and you're paying for cosmetics that for some reason are auric cells only, IN A PAID GAME, if you're okay with that, there's no helping you.

You're complaining about getting free stuff because they aren't giving you ENOUGH free stuff, often enough.
Take a step back and look at it from that perspective.
It does not seem that you're aware off these devs avoiding any concern from the others, giving no proper graphic options in +3 years, neither a decent rift pass living up to the rest.
This ain't about enough free stuff, it's about being just really greedy with their system, it's got some really atrocious grind all everywhere, the shards as mentioned come at the speed of a turtle.
Devotion rewards still not a thing, probably will take a lot more months, so...
You okay with all that? Cause it seems not okay to me.
-
@MojoTheFabulous said:
Probably because we already have a free currency in the form of the Shards. Granted it doesn't give you the ability to buy everything but it counts for something.
They do not give you shards in the rift, instead you get tons of empty space, which seems a huge waste.

Over 50 million, most likely.

That is just hideous, why even bother adding it to the rift?

Fairness over personal preference.
Welcome to gaming. Where everyone should play by the same rules and standards in order to keep the gameplay fair. Your personal preference, needs, and wants shouldn't be held any higher than anyone else's. Everyone suffers from motion sickness, headaches, or worse. Everyone. Even me.
One eye out of focus, one eye colorblind, and prone to motion sickness so bad that I can't ride in a car for longer than 30 minutes before feeling ill. But oddly, and luckily, enough I can drive without any problems at all. In gaming? Headaches a plenty if I don't take care to take the time to adjust to the game being played. But that's me and my needs. You don't see me asking for special attention.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1244823#Comment_1244823
The players don't decide what the standards are. Devs do per on a game by game biases. If the devs want a game to run in a certain way under certain settings, then that's how everyone needs to play the game to keep it fair for all. Don't like it? Play something else.
You've just proven once again that you have no idea about being consumer friendly.
You tell me how is it fair that people pay for this game, hoping for actual good options to be playable for them, and still not get anything in years?
I don't think anybody here asked for your so called 144 FPS, not for the 4K and nothing in the like, we're asking for proper optimizations and stable FPS, and yes, having accessibility options for a game you've paid is a right, specially after being asked for this long.
Gaming is not special to anything else, when your consumer require something and they are paying you for it, you -should- give them what they're asking, this is not for just profit or breaking the balance of the game, it's for caring and not losing their players.
Very -few- games in 2020 and onward have this horrifying experience when it comes to graphics and options when people need it the most to enjoy the most out of their purchase.
So yeah, I'm actually expecting to get something fair out of the money I've thrown at them.

I wish I understood what the issue was but I can't. I run my stuff at maximum settings on PC and my rig can handle anything that is currently out right now. (Except maybe Crysis but let's be honest, it's Crysis). What's does AA do exactly, what's the problem with it, and why are most people complaining about it? The graphics seem a lot sharper than usual since the patch and I enjoy it.
They make the game extremely blurry and ugly, and pretty much is a reason for a lot of motion sickness.

Define "way better".
Not all games need to run in 4K at 144 FPS. That is a want, not a need. And going beyond the standard can be an exploit in its own right as well. Higher FPS gives its own advantages. Sometimes it is in response time, other times it those frame rates effect how the game plays. I know of games that allows players to scale cliffs and walls otherwise impossible if they happen to have a high enough frame rate. Or Being able to set their rendering to show more than what the game was intended to show.
Going too far below the standard can be an exploit. Going too far above the standard can also be an exploit. Standards are standards because that is the settings the game was built to be played at. This is a PvP game. Meaning you should play within the standards. Allowing players to go outside of those standards either above or below opens up too many problems and possible abuse.
If this was a single player game. I wouldn't give a damn. Play how you want by any means you want. But DbD isn't single player.
You do realize that most of the things you've said mean absolutely nothing with what I've said, right? Also the devs allowed the bad use of the .Ini for not adding options in -3 goddamn years- mind you.
You've made a post too long for little meaning, and you're trying to prove what? My main point is pretty much the reality, go check anywhere else where people got +15 fps for disabling these unnecessary settings which you seem to be fine with, well, not all of us like them and we've got motion sickness/headaches thanks to this game's poor job when it comes to graphics + horrible optimization.
And I doubt very much you can try and excuse that.
-
No.
-
Then again why do people care about meaningless ranks? You're not getting anything good from ranking up, just get as much BP as possible and deal with it, red ranks is hell on earth.
Care about them when there's a proper reward for pipping then post about this.
-
@Chewy102 said:
Locking the .ini file isn't about those that need to squeeze the most out of their system. It is to prevent people from going BELOW the recommended settings to exploit those settings as much as possible.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lh6WF29UpkI&feature=youtu.be
THAT is why user settings and .ini files are locked. People abuse the hell out of them. The devs should put in better options in game but they can't ignore crap like that either. And to be perfectly honest. If your PC is so poor that you have problems playing a game, then maybe you shouldn't be playing the game.
That's one of the pros/cons of PC gaming. You NEED to update your hardware once in a while or you will be left behind. PC often gives better options and flexibility for aging hardware, but sooner or later you will need to upgrade. Can't afford a new PC? Tough luck. Learn to budget you money better and plan for these things like everyone else.
My man there's people with high-end pcs pretty much running this game like crap, it's a matter of optimization more than anything, locking the settings up BEFORE adding the proper options was a stupid idea at best and they've proven they don't care, there's a lot of cases where high-end pcs and low-end pcs who removed the AA + Vsync made the FPS waaay better.
Also you shouldn't sound so aggressive just because someone could play before and now they can't, assuming money makes you look like a dick as if you knew what they do with it or how much they earn, there's more to life than PC gaming.
-
Accessibility settings are still not a thing after god-knows how long people have asked for them, imagine actually having -graphical- options in a 2020 game!
Let alone help motion-sick people instead of ignoring them like literally any problem that does not concern them... we're just gonna release surv and killer every three months cause yeah, that's more important than literally anything else.
Fixes come at such a slow rate that by the time this is partially fixed, we'll be at 2025, but they sure as hell bring a lot of rifts and cosmetics, right?
Don't even bother trying, they ignore literally anything that they could've fixed tons of months ago.
-
Imagine justifying being toxic for no real reason other than bad games (in this case heavily your fault)
Boy, it ain't a wonder this community is falling apart with peeps like you.

What are you even in about? It gives new cosmetics some of which are the best on the game and aye, recolors of old which is perfectly fine. Which each one too you get tomes that are apart of it, which gives you a ######### ton of BP and grinding.
If you play the game consistently, it's basically giving you enough to get another outfit too. Given the cells you get back. So in what way do you pay extra here?
What are you even in about? Some of which are the best on the game I -highly- doubt it, and don't mind me, but I cannot take seriously someone who didn't think old freddy needed a desperate rework, you enjoy your nearly infinite grinding in such a repetitive and rage-inducing game you do you, good for you.
You should be getting -extra- auric cells by the way, that's something they could do but decided not to, surprise surprise, certain other does give you more and is also free to play while giving you skins and more stuff, can guess?
Rift is annoying, end of the line.
-
@Neko_Cel said:
That be a stupid decision on their part given chapters naturally give a boost to players and money. Especially when they do all these changes commonly in a mid-chapter patch. Realistically what would they do if they skipped it? Maybe another map rework which aye would be nice but we get those mid-chapters anyways, or giant map changes to change the game? Mid-chapter. Another objective would be fun, but what would it be? Everyone always suggests it but I can't think of anything that would be inherently balanced, which if it isn't prepare for a witch hunt against eachother even more.
Also what are you on about? Just because you don't like what's in the battle pass doesn't mean everyone agrees. The only issue I have with it is that there isn't a few more recolors tbh
Again everyone likes to talk about the battle pass, what's even the point of it rather than throwing money for mediocrity and even further grinding? I'm shocked people actually accept it as it is.
It offers you absolutely nothing new but the same cosmetics that they release on a really frequent manner, with a lot of recolors rather than something new and refreshing.
It gives the people who buy the pass absolutely no means of having an easier time grinding, they don't add any sort of extra challenges, not a single simple exp boost, absolutely nothing.
Are you people just playing like bots and enjoying it? Cause I fail to see anything appealing in it, it's the same story all over again but this time, you pay extra.

They don't want to change their game because in their mind if it aint broke dont fix it. They currently make tens of millions of dollars a year on this game, why would they change it. They don't care that the game is unbalanced because why put effort time and money into something that is already profitable and you may make a change that negatively impacts profit.
There also seems to be an alarming lack of in house testing they do so that their game doesn't break when they make changes. In one of the maps they are testing for breakable walls, they very obviously made an infinite. Even just looking at it, a person with some ability to critically think would realize that the addition of a breakable wall would at the very least not change anything, then upon actual testing they could see that they just made an infinite and broke things more.
Now releasing things on the PTB would be ok in theory since the playerbase could test and break things for them. The problem here lies in them ignoring pretty much 99% of what the playerbase says in terms of balancing and map design and it takes months and even years of the playerbase constantly complaining for them to even attempt to do anything. If any issue is not incessantly complained about, it just doesn't get fixed. Take all the bugs associated with nurse, they reworked her but did absolutely nothing about all her bugs. This is also part of why so many things break when they add something to the game, because there are glaring issues with the game that are simply ignored and don't get fixed. So a problem that wasn't a huge problem becomes a huge dumpster fire and then is compounded with other problems when all they had to do is deal with that original problem to at the very least mitigate the damage done.
Because so far apparently in this game is all about the quantity and not about the depth of the game's design, it looks like a lot of stuff the first time you try it, then you notice how blank and empty the game feels after a while of playing, it adds nothing of interest and they are completely okay with that, it doesn't seem right to me when they could make the game much better and interesting instead of this traditional stuff we're used to.
-
So I'm guessing there's still some people who value a half-assed battle pass with nothing interesting on it rather than... anything else in all that I posted, which is a shame.

Sorry, but its posts like these that i cant take serious and would prefer not to write a comment for the next 20 minutes explaining in detail something literally everyone knows: why god loops are a bad thing.
and as a solo player, i dont see why i wouldnt stand a chance this patch? i never relied on utterly broken structures to survive, i use my ressources effectively and not waste everything in the first 5 minutes of the match - unlike some players i meet in red ranks.
also i might want to add that its currently the survivors who are waiting their 20 minutes to find a lobby.
i wonder why that might be..
TL;DR: no. godloops are NOT fine and yes they should most certainly be removed. they are boring to use, boring to face and require literally no skill while still ruining the killers momentum and therefore game. survivors should NOT be able to 1v1 the killer, period.
Apparently someone assumes too much? I didn't mention a single thing about godloops and neither did you, all you did was mock around people who were disappointed with where the game is going, so instead of acting all smarty pants, read better and notice that for writing non-productive and silly comments, you might aswell not even write.
And you tell me how the recent issue with deadzones is going to help balance the game, cause soon enough killers will only be facing mobile bots, and when they grow bored, nobody will care for it.

i'd rather have a new killer and let them think of idea's and implement them over time like with breakable walls. Knowing the devs when they rush things it turns out awful so the more time for them to think things through the better. I do agree with giving rank rewards and changing mori's and keys however i think prestige is fine.
I do wish that they didn't use the battle pass as a excuse of a event tho like last Halloween, even if it is unbalanced or weird like the lunar and old Halloween event with the plants it was still fun and enjoyable. so im sure im not the only one who thinks the devs should GIVE US SOMETHING ELSE BESIDES EXP FOR A BLOODY RIFT AS AN INCENTIVE TO PLAY DURING "EVENTS".
The fact that they add a new killer and survivors is that they are adding extra 6 perks that will likely never see play and only clog the already overclogged bloodweb with stuff that you're likely never going to use since they never make it appealing at all.
And every new chapter they break a lot more stuff than the last one and for that, we might aswell not get anything if it means that they will stop these gamebreaking bugs which still exist and punish you for Dc'ing when you don't have another choice.
Also yes, the battle pass was something no one ever asked or wanted, and we still got it... a money sink I guess, another one of the many they've got going on.
I do miss actually good events.
