Would it be smart of her to bring back a food that is known to be able to escape? Wouldn't she be more interested in new, undrained and clueless subjects for her game of life and death?

She'd probably block the exit or something.

Quick question: Can/Did I leave with anything? Like Idk a Utility Flashlight with a battery and an Odd Bulb? If I bring back anything that is Ultra-rare I could make quick bank, or use it as proof of what happened. Maybe somehow I brought back a putrid serum?

Assuming that'd happen, I'd go the CIA (not the SCP foundation, as I think normal citizens canonically don't even know that exists. However we do know about the CIA) or some other Government organization. I would write multiple journals of my stories in case they torture me/eventually kill me/lock me up for knowing too much. Not immediately kill, because they'd want to know how'd I escape (assuming they already knew about the entity).

If not, probably still write journals of my stories because I'd want to leave something behind (along with how I'd escape) and then kill myself. I don't think I could live in a world where THAT can happen. Not one where a Zombie Apocalypse could happen. Not one where whatever the frick Stranger Things and Silent Hill are, NOT ONE WHERE DEADITES OR MYERS OR ETC. ETC. It's not just cause the entity, it's cause of the Entity and the multiple licenses.

The Void is where they go after they've lost all hope. They quite literally have no hope to carry on and continue trying to live and survive so there they exist in torment, husks of their former selves, completely devoid of all hope and likely all other emotions.

It's quite possible that returning survivors to their original homes would also alert the people of those world's to the Entity's existence, and therefore pose as a potential threat / create complications. So there's also that, also just generally speaking...

Why the hell would an Evil Primordial Deity feeding off the hope of its victims let them go??? Even if they were useless to the entity, why let them go? Like what, the Entity all of a sudden feels nice and charitable maybe even a little guilty after a torment of 100 years?

Which by the way, it's suggested or at least implied that Entity is extremely goddamn old, according to the wiki:

"The rich presence of auric particles and cells also indicates that The Entity is far more ancient than the Observer and his people ever suspected, leading to his speculation that The Entity is an "Original One", an "Ancient"

So we're talking like, origin of the universe old, an existence as infinite as time which we as humans can hardly comprehend. That's part of the whole mystery of it all, the point I'm getting at here is, 100 years might be a whole lifetime for us, it could be an ungodly long amount of time to be in torture and suffering, but in the grand scheme of the universe 100 years may as well be equated to a second. Potentially less than. So, even if the entity did let anyone go, it certainly would not be after such an insignificant period of 100 or even 500 years. Again, let alone at all, the entity definitely doesn't let anyone escape no one that we know of has ever been known to escape. Not benedict, not vigo, not the observer, nobody.

Once any survivor escapes, what on Earth could erase all of those memories of death, torture and the constant cycle of something no human should go through, or indeed is even made to go through?

The amount of therapy would be unreal, and even then how would a therapist or doctor truely help, when the idea of a giant, eldritch spider creating many arenas got random people to escape them by operating generators, all the while being chased by a plethora of monsters, ghosts and murderers.

Escaping would by far be the best outcome, but all that PTSD that comes with it ... how many would consider a final death upon return?

With the PTB release of the Blight we have received, what I think is, the last piece in a larger story that has been told since the first Hallowed Blight Event in 2018.

Here is what I think the first time we were introduced to the new killer “The Blight” aka Talbot Grimes..

The first time we come across Talbot is in the first entry of the Hallowed Blight Event. The Hallowed Blight Event journals are accredited to Benedict Baker, however I believe this journal was most likely lost while Benedict was between Trails. Thus it has ended up in Talbot's hands as he awakens in the Entity's realm.

The First Entry of the Hallowed Blight 2018 Event

    19 October - The Night

It is impossible to describe the horrifying scenes I have witnessed... death and misery, in every shape of terror, rule this place. I can no longer recall how I have come to this place. All I remember is the opaque, milky fumes of opium in the murky den hazing a sweet, welcoming abyss. I awoke to dreadful screams in this endless night, at the feet an old tree that leaked foul-smelling fluids. I know not how to reach those poor souls, nor do I want to. Keeping a record is all I can do to make sense of it.

The single biggest piece of evidence of this being Talbot instead of Benedict is the line “All I remember is the opaque, milky fumes of opium in the murky den hazing a sweet, welcoming abyss” As Talbot's Lore page states, after being captured for conducting his “research” is 'He awoke ragged and unwashed, splayed on the straw mattress of an opium den. “ He continued to be held at this den against his will, as he was either forced to consume either opium or other drugs, possibly some of which he may have concocted, until the Entity found him and persuaded him to come into it's realm with the Blight to experiment with.

This means that since we can follow the lore of Talbot since Oct 19 2018. The rest of the lore from the Hallowed Blight, including the cinematic, follow Talbot on his journey through the Entity's realm over his first 12 days. The last entry of the Hallowed Blight Event is

    31 October - Pray

Soon, very soon, I will be at peace. The cold claws of death are drawing near.

It's here. The Entity is here. It has found me.

The best guess I have to this is Talbot could no longer escape the Entity, as he had done over the past 12 days, as the Blight he was studying was now gone. He was most likely scooped up for trails as a survivor at this point as he seems to continue to want to live.

From here we don't really see anything about Talbot, unless I'm missing something else, until the The Withering Blight event in 2019. This event, being the first to be on the Tome I – Awakening, unlocks the story of The Alchemist. This story shows Talbot finally losing hope of ever getting more of the Blight, and ever returning home. With the final cinematic being his final moment as a survivor.

It's a good theory and I love apple.

That is all true but sometimes you have to outsmart your opponent and have the element of surprise. Of course Nancy, Steve, and Johnathan weren’t going to defeat the Demogorgon head on. That’s why the house was trapped and Steve caught Demo off guard causing him to retreat.

Myers has the element of surprise and can vanish in the blink of an eye. He is physically strong as hell. He’s no weakling and would put up a bigger fight than most other killers would. Myers has never died in his movies, Demogorgon however has been killed in the Stranger Things series.

I do think Demo would wipe the floor with most killers except Spirit and Nurse.

True! Myers is the winner. He's invincible. He survived a f****g explosion. And they shot him multiple times. Easily beat every killer.

  • @EmpathyModule said:

Time for me guessing how my main (the Demogorgon) would fare against all the killers. Going off of the licensed killers movies and not in game, and going off the barebones aspects of the original characters disregarding game mechanics...

Demogorgon vs. Michael: I see the Demogorgon easily eviscerating Michael, he's just a man with a knife despite his 'pure evilness', eventually the Demogorgon would tear Michael into incapacitation or death.

Demogorgon vs. Spirit: While I don't see the Demogorgon being able to be damaged by the Spirit very efficiently, I don't know if the Demogorgon could destroy the Spirit. If the Demogorgon can shred her physical body that would count as a win, otherwise it'd be a slow and steady process of slicing up the poor helpless beast.

Demogorgon vs. Nurse: Same as vs. the Spirit, except the Nurse is much more physical and even weaker. The Demogorgon is more likely to be able to destroy the Nurse, and if not, the Nurse couldn't kill it. Stalemate.

Demogorgon vs. Freddy: If the Demogorgon is in a 'microsleep' like the survivors, Freddy could be weak enough to be killed. However if the Demogorgon is fully asleep, Freddy could probably kill it. I'm not sure of the extent of Freddy's omnipotence in the dream world, but he could probably conjure up something that can kill it.

Demogorgon vs. Oni: If the Oni were bloodlusted, the Demogorgon would absolutely lose. However, the Oni might not be able to draw blood from the Demogorgon in the first place, and even then its blood might not fuel him. I believe that the Demogorgon has a little advantage against normal Oni, but loses against fully powered Oni.

Demogorgon vs. Trapper: Trapper loses, easily. In the show the Demogorgon gets caught in a bear trap, but unless he has the chance to place those, he's helpless (even if the Demogorgon was caught in a trap, the Trapper would die trying to approach it).

Demogorgon vs. Hillbilly: The Hillbilly has more leverage than the Trapper, but still loses I believe. If the Hillbilly can get a good chainsaw in the right place then the Demogorgon is a goner but the Demogorgon would probably get the jump first.

Demogorgon vs. Wraith: Wraith's dead. All he can do is hide in the spirit world.

Demogorgon vs. Huntress: Huntress is dead. Those hatchets aren't doing anything

Demogorgon vs. Legion: Oh god, it's a bloodbath

Demogorgon vs. Clown: A feast, and not because the Demogorgon's got big fingers

Demogorgon vs. Pig: Like Legion but less blood

Demogorgon vs. Doctor: The Demogorgon has a tie to electricity in the first place. Those shocks wouldn't even get through the skin. All that metal wouldn't taste very good though.

Demogorgon vs. Leatherface: Mix between the Clown and the Hillbilly. Leatherface has a much smaller chance of landing a devastating chainsaw hit, however, but will make for good chili either way.

Demogorgon vs. Hag: The Demogorgon wouldn't bother with rotten meat, but it would stop it from struggling.

Demogorgon vs. Plague: The Demogorgon would be turned off from the sickly flesh but would gladly cut the fountain off.

Demogorgon vs. Ghostface: Once he's found, it's over.

Myers survived being shot. And he even survived an explosion. He's kinda invincible. He could easily beat every killer.

Using good perks isn't toxic, it's the way you use those perks. Imagine unhooking a survivor and they run and sit on a gen right in front of your face because they have DS. Or they make you chase them just so they can jump into a locker when you're about to get them. It's stupid and obnoxious. I don't mind survivors using them but if they're gonna be like that then of course people are gonna complain. DS is almost never used as an "anti-tunneling perk" at this point.

    I don't us ds cause if u don't t-bag you won't get tunneled.

The only survivor perks i have problem with are DS and OoO. DS is not anti-tunneling perk but anti-momentum perk for the killer and 60 second immunity. I would be quite happy if they just changed DS so that it deactivates for touching a generator. If you can repair gens you obviously aren't being tunneled..

    Good idea! :-)

  • @AvisDeene said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1563159#Comment_1563159

It is only toxic because you say it is. More often than not, it works because Survivors play right into it. Most Killers really don't have a choice but to tunnel and camp with how fast gens currently fly. There is no way to win as a Killer against a high ranking competent team without using those strategies, unless you're a top tier Nurse, Billy, Spirit or Freddy.

In all seriousness, we all know that the majority of the Survivors never consider how a Killer may feel when they play against them, nor do they try to give the Killer a 'fun' time. Why should Killer do so? People complain about it because it makes the game more difficult for them and they don't want to bother.

If you don't consider running into a locker or getting on a gen in the Killers face with DS active, Body Blocking with BT active, saving DS for EGC for when a Killer has no choice but to camp or tunnel since gens are done or rushing to the strongest loop every time you get in chase all as toxic then you are a hypocrite. Sure, you'll tell yourself "but that's how you're supposed to play, take every advantage in order to Survive", well then, why can't Killers do the same? Why can't they take every advantage that they want to?

Want to counter tunneling and camping? You have plenty of options. First option is to play a Blendette and not get caught in the first place. Second option is to learn how to loop and waste as much time as you can. Third option is to use the many meta-second chance perks that Survivors have access to. Fourth option is to make friends and play as SWF so you can coordinate your perks and rescues. Killer camping? Rush gens and leave. Did you get camped at the start of the game after going down in 10 seconds? Learn to get better at lasting longer and to be more aware of your surroundings.

People think they have a right to tell the other side how they should play when in fact they don't. This goes for Killers too- they have no right to complain about the strategies that Survivors us as long as they're not hacking or exploiting a bug. As long as it is within the limits of the rules that the Devs have decided on, everything is fair game.

You say I should play swf but if i play it's toxic.

  • @AvisDeene said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1563368#Comment_1563368

Ah, so taking advantage of a poorly designed perk is ok, but taking advantage of a weak Survivor isn’t, got it.

The game is designed to give Survivors every advantage to escape the Killer multiple times throughout a trial. It’s on them if they get caught and camped.

There is something Survivors can do that can make the Killer depip and waste time. It’s called playing SWF and getting good.

As the devs have stated multiple times, tunneling and camping are legitimate strategies. It’s just not fun for the Survivors so people like you try to shame Killers from using those strategies by calling them “bad” or “unfun”.

Again, you, nor I, have any right to tell people how they should play, nor should we judge them for their choice of play style.

As far as me ignoring your perk comment, there wasn’t much of a discussion to be had there. Killers have perks and powers that promote camping. They’re just doing what the game is designed for them to do. Insidious and NoEd exists for a reason, and for mobile Killers like Hag, Make Your Choice is also designed for them to camp a hook from a distance. Then you have Bubba, who is literally designed to camp. You also have Basement Trapper with bloody coil.

Just because you don’t like something doesn’t make it bad. But because You and you’re team are not good enough, you opt to attack the Killer.

Tell me something, when infinite loops were more prevalent in the game, did Survivors ever stop and consider how Killers felt every time they ran to them? No, because it gave them the advantage in the match, Killers feeling be damned. It wasn’t fun for the Killers when they had to go through loops that they knew they had no chance in catching up with a Survivor, yet no Survivor ever though that strategy was “toxic”. Why the double standard?

If you want to blame anyone for camping, blame the Survivors who keep falling for it. Devs even tried to implement things into the game to discourage it but Survivors took advantage and abused them, so blame them for it, not the Killer.

    Infinite loops got removed.

And I'm not telling anybody how to play i just said that we never make post every time we see a camping killer but you do if you see someone using ds.

  • @sulaiman said:

Mainly because survivor say the same about killer. You yourself brought up insta hatched, which are just in the game as flashlights are. The number of threads about noed are also neverending.

SWF is another problem, because it completly unbalances a game build around a lack of information.

We payed money to play together. So we will play together.

And I said that I don't make posts on reddit about insta down hatchet and camping killers. But I always see rants about ds and bt. And it becomes super annyoying after a while.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1561301#Comment_1561301

Except that there's truth in there. Playing both roles, I know how much of an annoying, unbalanced thing SWF is (never been in a full SWF team, though). But, having the killer chasing you forever, downing you because he got Bloodlust, then possibly facecamping you because you made him mad by wasting so much of his time (which he could have used by hunting somebody else) is not fun, either. While playing survivor, I want to do everything I can to earn some points. I want to cleanse totems, I want to open chests, I want to work on gens, heal AND get chased. Not ONLY get chased, until I die because I turned 95. And I don't want to go down with a single basic attack either, because the killer had the perk that those who know will not be able to stop gens bring (NoeD). As a solo survivor, I almost always cleanse 3 to 4 totems, sometimes even 5 all on my own. But I can't go looking for totems on the entire map all on my own, in every single match. Until solos have a way of telling how many totems are still present in the map yes, NoeD is actually a crutch. And I think the same about DS and DH, some easy stuff that everybody uses. The difference is that, with like 95% of the killers I've met relentlessly chasing the same guy, then tunneling and camping him (and, before you say anything, this applies to both console and PC), DS becomes close to being "mandatory". When killers' behaviour will change, decent survivors' behaviour and perks might change as well. But until then, nobody likes being chased for the entirety of the game.

EDIT: And please, be rational about what you say, and don't give me the same recycled answer "the killer's job is to kill, he doesn't have to care about your fun. As much as survivors don't have to care about the killer's fun blah blah blah". If people start to get tired of the game and its community, what do you think will happen? I don't think that hitting air gives any bloodpoints, does it? As much as kicking gens with no progress is not going to regress them.

My only problem is that everytime they see someone using ds they make a post about it. I never make anypost about tunneling, camping killers. So why can't they do the same? And if they don't tunnel=no ds no bt.

They just have to change the way they play so we won't use ds and bt. In the current state ds and bt is necessary.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:
