Its a challenge perk, which often ruins the experience for the user playing Chaos Shuffle more so than any other perk is able to.
This is an undeniable truth. However the chances of getting it in Chaos Shuffle is so low that you ought to be able to bear it for a single game.
This is the useless reality. And I HATE IT.

To be fair, by that point everyone has seen every Mori animations dozens of time and most people are sick of them. The novelty has gone away since now there's a Mori in most games.
I'm honestly not sure I've seen a single game not end in an abandon when the last Survivor gets downed/Moried, lots of people are just bored of Mori animations now and getting slugged by the Killer for several minutes because they want their Mori and don't want to risk a Hatch race.
The Finisher Mori had a lot more negative repercussions than good ones.
We had a chance to fix those repercussions, but the Community said they disliked the past iterations of Mori changes.
Now we are stuck with not great situations and Im am hoping to God, that BHVR will bring back the testing of Baskekit Unbreakable and the automatic ending of the games, once the Killer downs the last person.

Kind of twisted logic isnt it? Why should it be fine one way but not the other? Its about punishing the killer for camping. Both scenarios should punish the killer and not in just one case.
I dont understand why you think its twisted. The way we do it now is sufficient to deter the Killer, no need to implement COMP.

So then why does SWF get that information for free? Why does SWF get to play around it and use it as a mechanic?
The killer doesnt see the bar either, so the killer doesnt get to know how long to hang around either.
Any information that SWF gets should be information displayed in the HUD, no exceptions. They dont get the information for free, they tell each other it, much like they also tell where the Killer is as well.
By the Logic, is the Killer is spotted elsewhere then an in-game warning system should tell that to the other players. This game believe it or not is not designed for COMP gameplay exclusively, this is why yes SWF can break the game in harsh ways that isnt meant to be used by normal players, however these are in the vast minority and not a huge problem. As far as I am aware of it.
-
I think the reason BHVR hides it is because Survivors are not supposed to play around it or use it as a mechanic.
its purpose is only to deter the Killer from hanging around to encourage play that is fair and progresses. -
Dead by Daylight already has a lovely system that displays "tips" while loading, however most of these tips are vague and unhelpful. I think it would be better to see these tips get updated to be super helpful instead.
Also I keep seeing tutorials being suggested, first of all, nobody willingly want to play a game where you need a tutorial to play it and second of all, it takes way way way more time from the developer to make than it actually helps.
-
This is really a question about consistency, I have no knowledge of the balance in question here.
-
Honestly trying to find a quest to do in the tomes was incredibly annoying and hard as well as all the casuals I play with ALWAYS forget to put on the Quest. I mean honestly, How would you have kept the uniqueness and fixed all of the problems with it?
-
Completely agree, instead of preparing for the future and dealing with the problem, it seems the majority of people have pressed BHVR to cancel the idea. Why? BHVR does not tell us, just that it made them reconsider.
-
Obviously haste stacking has been an issue, otherwise BHVR would not attempt to fix it.
BHVR would not have reached this point without Haste combos giving significant Survival or Kill-rates or leaving individual perks in the nerfed dust.

I'm not sure I agree that it's supposed to be for people who just want to hide, I feel like it wouldn't have those auras if it wasn't meant to be a perk for getting the lay of the land after a brief moment of stillness.
I'd certainly agree that's the only use case it currently has, but I think that's a problem because I think it's supposed to be broader than that.
You misunderstand me, read it again, I said "its a perk for people who like to hide," not "for people who just want to hide,"
I hope you will understand there is a difference from that, and no the use case is certainly much much broader than just hiding and spying on the Killer. -
But if you do allow stacking of haste, then certain perks combos could be overpowered, what are you going to do then? just sit on your hands? Allow broken combos to persist because nerfing it would make one of the perks unable to compete on its own?
Why do you want to have such a thorn in your design side of evaluating a perk on its own merits, just so a few pranksters can run a broken build every once in a while? What solution will there be to the problem you had hoped to solve with it then?
What convinced you guys that it was suddenly a bad idea? What was the reasonable argument?
-
Please BHVR, I know you are adding more build slots. Would it be too hard to add another slot that is just random?
-
Still Sight is fine, its a perk for people who like to hide, if you don't like to do that, then that does not mean the perk is in a sorry state. Not every perk needs to be viable on every player, the perk is asking you to use strategies which you propably dont utilize well.
I have used this perk quite a few times and its fine, sometimes Its broken good.
-
Sh-she has thick thighs tho…
-
but scooby is not evil :c
-
Its actually looking quite good this time, but remember BHVR if you make it too hard to play the Killer's power at a low skill level you strangle the community that could form up around them. But I'm pleased to see that showing the Survivor they are being viewed by Global Detection is on the table this early and the change to scanlines to indicate crouching.
Questions:
How able is the Skull merchant able to set up a Drone in chase and directly go to damage the chased Survivor with it?Would it be possible to use the EMP Dart for something else on non-tracked Survivors, since you give her a ranged people would like to fire it. I know I want to.
Since Scanlines are visible, what is going to prevent the Survivor in a chase from seeing where they are going and then going away to another place. Also what will prevent Survivors from just disabling all the drones I put up? before I can loop someone into them?
-
You are thinking about the game from the perspective of a New Survivor that is good.
Now think of a New Killer who is playing against new Survivors who have free aura reading of all pallets in 20m.
-
I have no problem with the bubble, it hides Survivors exact location for a short while and that seems to be the intention.
Giving Killers too much information isnt fun to play against, You guys have to remember this game isnt only for elite juicers. -
Can we get any word from BHVR about their efforts to combat these types of hacks? You're seriously going to launch the FNAF collab while stuff like this is possible? That's going to be one hell of a first impression, I can tell you that much.
Has Slate submitted a report on this with his Game Logs?
-
Could be a fun way to fix the Hag if BHVR ever wants to change her Addon set, cause without the right addons she is bad. but having for instance a buff to teleport range as long as totems stand could be fun.
-
The problem with this idea is that when you divide the community the Queue time sucks for both camps, leading to more people quitting for the night, leading to longer queue times. if one side is insta queue alot less will play the other.
Ironically, you get the best Ranked Experience in Normal Queue when there is an Event going on.
-
Ghoul should not be able to freeze a Survivor in place with the Kagune Leap, his mobility is already great enough you can allow the Survivor as far as possible and it wont matter. Also the Hindred effect he gives is ALSO unnecessary, the Killers dont need that much help.
-
check if bloodgens give lightbringer points at the right ammount and also remember if you are in red grades the requirements are bigger.
-
I really liked how Overwatch did it, You get 4 stats from the game post game and you can put a reward token on it for the player.
-
No thank you to that.
-
The developers are well known to be aiming for 60% with an error margin of 10% +/- of what is acceptable.
also
Deathslinger - shots further than 10m inflict exposed,
Okay.

Hey, really valid points – thanks for taking the time to dig deeper into the idea. Let me try to address your concerns one by one:
1. Abuse of the system (e.g., “You camped, no honor for you!”):
This is definitely a risk, just like with any player-driven reward system. But the key here is to minimize the impact of individual bias by making the rewards cumulative and based on multiple endorsements over time, not just one match. So one salty player skipping the thumbs up won't ruin anything – it’s about overall positive feedback across many games.2. Community policing itself:
You're totally right that there’s always subjectivity in how people define "camping," "tunneling," or even “fair play.” That’s why this wouldn't be a punishment system (no one loses anything), but rather an optional reward system for those who consistently get positive feedback. So no one is "policing" others – it’s just a small way to recognize good vibes.3. Defining what’s 'too much':
This is a grey area, and that’s why the system would never penalize anyone. It's more like an appreciation system. You don't get punished for not getting honors, you just may not get a bonus. Ideally, players who make the game fun – whether they’re killers or survivors – would get noticed over time.4. “LoL’s Honor system didn’t fix toxicity”:
Totally fair – LoL’s community still struggles. But their Honor system does offer exclusive rewards, and many players still strive to stay on Honor level 5 to get them. No system is perfect, but if implemented thoughtfully, even small incentives can make a difference, or at least recognize the ones trying to be positive. It’s not about fixing toxicity overnight – it’s about encouraging better habits.I know its valid points, I made them. ☝️😎
But I think you overestimate how much the community as a whole has less bias than the majority, the only way cumulative endorsements could weed out the bias is if the majority of players don't have bias or can be trusted with using it fairly.
Which I see no reason to assume.Another thing is the rewards, say you want the reward, then every time you don't get an endorsement, when you think you play the best way you can, that will be a much much more impactful non-endorsement than any loss of the game currently.
I also don't see how recognizing the subjectivity of being called a Camper, Tunneler or whatever and not getting an endorsement because of that will matter. Most people are not philosophy savvy, they don't give a hoot if we see that as subjective or not. It will still matter and its still going to have an impact on interactions, which this system will encourage. It has potential to make bad interactions worse, if you want those points.
Which further just raises question at BHVR, "I am playing nice, but people dont give me honor. what gives."
RiotGames themselves reported that the Honor System made a dent in the Toxicity for a little while, which we need to look at:
Positives:
Encourages better behavior (especially in low-to-mid ranks).Creates a visible incentive to not be toxic.
Players with high Honor are seen as more trustworthy in matchmade games.
But... :
Players with low Honor are seen as less trustworthy in matchmade games and is dodged. Many players view it as cosmetic and meaningless.
Hardcore toxic players don’t care about rewards — they’re in it to flame.
There's no real punishment for being dishonorable unless it’s extreme (chat bans, etc.).
Trolls can still get honors ironically or from pre-mades. (aka, your friends give you endorsements.)
Toxicity shifted to be passive-aggressive or "accidental sabotage" instead of open speech.
Which sorta brings me back to the point I made that it didnt fix the problem for Riot, you argue against that point that this idea does not need to be be 100% to be viable. Which is fine, if you think this can make a dent in the Toxicity then maybe a dent is worth this effort.
But I kind of see it as a very expensive to create with minimal effect, Sure this game could use a endorsement system, idd like to throw bloodpoints at a really good looper when I see one, or a real devilish Killer. But that this system would be an effective tool against toxicity, I'm desperately uncertain about that and its a big gamble to invest into something like that for BHVR.
Its a fun problem to think about.

Oh you have my upvote don't worry but with this and neme invisible zombies bugs not kill switching the add ons, my doubts that this be addressed is 0.00000001% hopefully.
I've certainly been there, but I encourage you to take heart. BHVR has made this forum for us so we may help them.
So we shall help them until we give up, I just dont worry about it and just report/ suggest as much as I can.
I also use the other platforms, reddit & bluesky to make sure I can get to them from other angles. Its up to BHVR to handle the rest and I'm sure its on their lists, but if they have time to deal with it is a question.
-
What is going to stop people from abusing this system and say, "Well you camped (even when I didnt) so no honor for you"
or "YOU TUNNELED" when I could not find someone else. How do you prevent this?Another question to answer is what is too much tunneling, camping or looping? Are you really going to expect that the Community can police itself with giving honor to only players who play the way they approve of?
These side effects need to be addressed before this idea is greenlit. How you expect to do this?
Also, I dont think this System actually worked for League of Legends as their community is one of the most toxic.
Dead by Daylight isn't even on the top10, and ill be honest, I have not seen a single toxic person in like months on EU Servers. -
he wont be killswitched by a lil problem that might. Im sure BHVR is catching on to these problems.
As well as the Vault Freeze attack he can do:@Vasella said:
Hi BHVR, please take a look at and If possible fix/remove ghouls grab over window/pallet bug/animation lock, right know if you (as survivor) are not marked by kagune, vault and be like 2-3 meters behind pallet or window and get hit by Kaneki's kagune you will get Stun locked the same way like normal grab but during that ghoul just vaults pallet/window. It makes it very frustrating to play against. Imagine you go to the pallet, drop it and because of that bug the very thing that supposed to help you escape is making you die faster.
Recent nerfs were fine kudos for your work, but please remove this animation (or bug I don't know if its intended or not) in upcoming patch. Don't get me wrong Im not talking about reducing vault speed or removing it, everything that I wrote here is about survivor being unable to move during Kaneki's vault animation, most people complain about it because it makes it unplayable if Kaneki knows how to force this bug on almost every chase involving windows/pallets.I just want express my thoughts to make this killer fun to play as and against it, and I feel that forcing players to stay in one place for 1-2s is not very pleasant.
Additional suggestion is to remove option for Kaneki to get enraged if he don't hit survivors, i think there is logic behind this statement because he is enraged after drinking blood right? So why should he get enraged even if he missed the survivor? I came up with this idea because enraged status right know lasts for like 90% of game, most ghoul players once hit first person they find stay in enraged status till end of the game.
Overall thanks for fun killer, and awesome collab.
For everyone who disagrees with me or have better suggestions please comment I would love to read it, no hate please I just try to make game better by posting my feedback.
Much love and have a nice day.But people need to upvote the problems if they have seen it happen so BHVR knows how bad it is.
I doubt they look at this particular bug report and think wow this problem is super urgent, when im the only one who took my time to report it AND upvoted it once. -
I found another example on Reddit just now, from 10 hours ago. Have a look please.

If he didn't have this mechanic, then Survivors would easily be able to clip into him and vault back through.
The only reason James got downed in the first clip was because he stood still and kept trying to heal the downed Survivor that he was aiming to pallet save. If he'd kept running then he wouldn't have been downed. I'd know considering that's my clip.
If he didn't have this mechanic, then Survivors would easily be able to clip into him and vault back through.
While this is true, there are also multiple Killers who have this problem. However my complaint is that the Kagune Grab freezes survivors in place and make it not possible to escape.
The Ace indeed got greedy, but as far as I have tested this, once this grab is activated there is nothing they can do. Could be a bug that only sometimes this happen but my friend said they could not leave. And if that is the case, then I think its damned unfair and BHVR needs to take an axe to it.

Yeah this alone should have gotten him killswitched, but he is a new killer so that wasn't gonna happen. It's crazy how little interaction this killer has for survivors, it's awful to play against in the right hands.
Its my fault, I should have reported this on the PTB. But I didnt play it.
-
Man… if WESKER had the power to freeze Survivors in place past a pallet and vault into them. If only!
-
Oh I wanted to report this to, Yeah its really annoying and seem very un-necessary for the Ghoul.
As well as the Hindered for 1 second he gives Survivors. Its absurd and Ghoul is very much able to Kill without it.You can also use it to freeze a Survivor in place past the vault, and then vault into them, causing a loss of health state.
Its aggressively unfair as it requires no skill from the Killer and the Killer isn't denied anything in return.
There is no other Killer made so far that makes a Pallet this unsafe.
I think the Community wants Killers with less BS unfair tricks, I know I do.People will say, "Oh well you should not have been near the pallet or dropped a pallet right in front of the Killer"
But Ghoul can do this THE NANO-SECOND your are done with throwing the pallet. Its not fair then is it?I'm convinced the lil Mobility Goblin has some glaring unfairness with these interactions and the recent nerfs will only discourage lower tier Ghouls. But this will continue to be used by those who can do it and when it happens its just the worst.
-
its true, once some perks were so week this made sense, but BHVR rarely makes perks of lower tiers unplayable these days.
I think it would make it a lot easier if the Perk list was just alphabetical, at least for me.
-
Please for all that is good and holy, can you demonstrate any clip of aura being read INSIDE lockers?
-
I have played Deathslinger the whole Bloodmoon Event on EU and while Im not ecstatic with Deathslinger.
He is by no means weak and I can with just a smidge of luck turn a situation in my favor.I think idd be more happy with giving him a slight better basekit and then giving him funnier addons.
-
Haddonfield is overperforming by like 1.85% currently on unofficial stats.
But given that most Killers sit at between 50% to 60% atm there is clearly something fishy with Haddonfield.
One part would be those absolutely useless loops by the edges of the map. But most of the sides are empty.Compare this to most other maps, either got pallets in the middle or sides. but Haddonfield is BARREN.
-
CHEEECKEN JOCKEY!!!
Anyway, idd like to see Herobrine as Legendary Skin or a Killer one day.
-
@TopHatOrk54 @MechWarrior3 Lets get them both.
I have faith in Mcote, he probably already secured the licence for one of them.
-
Yeah. honestly it looks off.
If its supposed to look like that because it has weight, then you need to invest much more technology into the animation.
I know, I KNOW. you wanted to change Survivors animations to be better long ago, but the community assassinated that move.
So BHVR is probably just making due with what they got here, which maybe its time to push for that animation update again.Does anyone have footage of that patch that one time? I need to see it again.
-
idd love to see those 10 matches.
-
*a Survivor is being Mori'ed*
Loomis: "NOOOOO No NO NO NO"*meets another survivor*
Loomis: "I shot him… I shot him 6 times, In the heart, Hes not human…"But honestly, the only way BHVR can do this justice is to ask the family of Donald Pleasence about using his likeness.
A licenced character without the likeness of the actor unfortunately falls short for me.Idd pay like 25 dollars for a skin for Laurie as Dr. Loomis with voice acting and the likeness of Donald Pleasence.
I know Hollywood is expensive, I'm willing to offer that up for such a in-game skin. -
Is the Killer supposed to be able to vault and insta hit a Survivor, cause Im seeing alot of that.
I would have thought BHVR would be ontop of bugs like this now. -
If BHVR should do a Shark Killer, it seems obvious to me that is has to be floating but have the same rules a normal killer has.
But the idea of going underground and having the fin stick up as a stealth mode is also good. -
Last time this was tried,
peeps just started looping the Killer near hooked Survivors and with the stun you can even get away with it easily. -
