Ghoul has a non lethal power, his cooldown is short because he cant down using his power while pyramid head can, the grab range is still a bit silly i can agree with that, they should de couple the grab range and leap range. I think ghoul will be just fine if his grab was like 10 meters. They would have to compensate buff him after tho.
Ghoul has a non lethal power,
My guy, the Ghoul is breathing down my neck 3 seconds after hooking a Survivor at the other end of the map.
How is that not a lethal power? It is infact a VERY lethal power. -
I see Singularity as a more balanced Nurse, which hes certainly weaker than.
But yes his counterplay is very poorly explained in loading tips, BHVR has a nasty tendency of letting players "discover for themselves" which is an attitude that works sometimes when a Killer is somewhat intuitive and ignites like gas when the Killer is hard to guess what is happening.
If I may convince BHVR for a second, I know you guys love to play DND. Consider if you were asked to "discover for yourself" to play Wizard, but doing it wrong would get your character killed by the Dungeon Master. Yeah, thats not gonna fly is it.
This is why you MUST update your loading screen tips to be way way way more explanatory.
-
This would be very nice, also if we could remove his hindered effect for auto-hitting vaulting Survivors that would be great.
-
Yeah the challenges are pretty basic.
But I think people are panic about not getting enough Rift Points and a hard quest right now would freak them out.Maybe next month.
-
Why do you guys make multiple discussions on the same subject? I see like 3 in suggestions right now.

The problem is that even if the range were mapwide it would still be a bad perk, so why bother going through the effort of buffing a perk that's still never gonna be used. If they do buff if it, it should be more than that. There's too many perks and they add new ones that are also bad too quickly for them to take teeny baby steps with buffing perks as bad better together.
Lets ignore the flaw that its relative strength will determine its use.
Humor me, How many people need to use a perk for lets say a month before its considered worth buffing for you? -

I would like that. How exactly would your idea work when there are multiple boons on one totem?
Well, lets say Anti-Killer Coloring takes priority. So it will be Blue unless you use the ones that hide aura or boost your speed.
I also think Exponential Boons should pulsate in white to the downed person, indicating them to come closer.
-
A Scooby Doo Chapter would be better, Legendary cosmetics are great for characters. but I much rather I see perks from them.
I think also BHVR could be ambitious and make a Scooby NPC dog that always spawns with a Scooby Survivor character, 1 per game ofc. and that NPC would just run around and be silly around that Survivor and switch to follow different Scooby Survivor character.
I also dont think a Scooby Chapter needs a Killer, we all know it was all old men inside the suits anyway.
But we could give Killers cosmetics based on the showThe 10,000 Volt Ghost (The Doctor Legendary Skin) from Watt a Shocking Ghost (1976)
The Black Knight (The Knight Legendary Skin) from What a Night for a Knight (1969)
The Ghost Clown (The Clown Legendary Skin) from Bedlam in the Big Top (1969)
The Miner 49er (The Hillbilly Legendary Skin)from Mine Your Own Business (1969)
The Phantom Shadow aka The Green Ghosts (The Ghostface Legendary Cosmetic) from A Night of Fright is No Delight (1970)
-
I swear if BHVR reads this and thinks, "Oh people dont like complicated Killers anymore" Ill be so sad.

@Langweilig said:
To come back to your idea. I would appreciate it becoming map wide or having a bigger radius. One side note: It should reveal the gens aura in blue to make it more oblivious which perk is involved.
You are touching on some good ideas there, for instance take Boons some have different effects and it would be good to know which boon type is so you can use them. If Shadowstep for instance has a color that indicated you should loop the killer there.

That it isn’t for my playstile is fair, but your repair speed is slower together than when you split up, which is even shown in your tabel. (2survivors -15%…..) Doing gens together is less effective than splitting up, that’s why behavior changes the spawn rules.
Nobody should care about just a flat repair speed, when the reality of the Game that is played is much more complex than focusing on one part of it. Its more a question of who is on hand to get a gen done when the Killer comes by and maybe starts a chase.
Your buddy cant join back in if he was never there so its a pretty good strategy.

@Langweilig said:
The problem is that in dbd you don‘t want to do gens together. Doing gens together makes you do gens slower. For this perk to be worth running there needs to be a reason why you want another person to come to your gen.
My suggestion:
- When another survivor works on a gen with you, both of you see the killers aura in a 24 meter radius.
- Additionally I would make that you see other survivors aura whenever you work on a gen instead of only when the killer downs someone with a limited duration. This would make doing gens also a lot more exciting since you can watch your teammates run around.
Completely incorrect. Not only is it completing the Generator faster together, You forget to factor in things such as the Killer a general rule is that a generator more people are focused on will get picked up on after the Killer leaves it.
If the Perk does not fit your playstyle that is fine, you don't have to use it, what I am suggesting is for that playstyle, not yours.
The way the perk functions is perfectly fine, I just think it could be better.
-
Hex Perks will recieve a buff next patch, as BHVR changes the spawning mechanics for Survivors.
This means that its much more unlikely that a Hex will get destroyed within 1min of match start.Personally I like Kaneki's Hex perk, because it lights up after some time is spent in the match.
Kind of wish this would apply for all Hex Perks. -
Too much noise in a chase theme is actually bad because then you cant hear when the killer charges an attack at high volumes.
-
You will get gamma options next patch, to control it yourself.
-
The problem is this perk will force the doors open and it does nothing if you play vs Survivors who already open the door.
Sure this perk might be good way to ensure Bloodwarden value, but outside of that I dont see why I would run it.
We will have to see.
-
He is a stealth Killer, when you use the Doors.
-
I would love it if Pig didnt require Last Will and Workshop grease to make the charge attack at least somewhat threatening.
Right now I never play her without those because I need the Charge Attack to be able to threaten Survivors. If that was fixed, I think Pig would be way better.
-
I literally have not had more of a problem with Oni/Legion than other Killer combos. Seems fine to me.
-
Lampkin lane needs help, right after you finish up Swamp. you MUST revisit Lampkin Lane.
-
Ghostface should be looking up at the Player Camera and follow it around and then turn around as Camera goes into him.

Y'all survivors are voting it down but I didn't stutter. This post is factually correct and a problem.
Did you check the recent Dev update?
-
Honestly I got used to it so fast, if it helps new players that makes me glad, this is certainly a change I can get over fast.

Well, there is one solution that will prevent this problem from occurring… The devs have killswitched other killers/perks/addons/items for less. And they likely wouldn’t have to KS Wesker altogether, as the devs were able to block Houndmaster from being played in the winter event but not in the core mode.
We dont know the occurrence of other problems before that was Killswitched, I dont see what basis you can offer for doing that.

I'm pretty sure there was reports about Wesker's bugs during the previous 2v8 yet it wasn't fixed I believe. It still occurs now which is even more annoying.
I know that is the case, because I made a few myself, its has still proven difficult to solve though.

P100 rewards are such a hard sell since they generate no revenue for bhvr. Unless, they discover a way to monetize the grind, akin to buying your way through the rift. Kudos for the creativity, but I fear for what ever mobile game style consequences will come with more interesting rewards for veteran players.
Consequences such as what??
BHVR have already said they are committed to making higher leveling rewards, the idea is already sold.
-
Why?
- Wesker is a very popular Killer.
- The problem does not happen that often.
If you wanna help solve it, make a bug report and put Logs every time it happens.
-
@Memesis said:
Cute, but seems like a lot of work something so few people would see, outside of youtube
Certainly, but once the code is written, its easier to implement next time. But its basicly a feature for veterans, which is the type of reward which could be given to high invested players. This is what the whole P100 reward discussion is about.
Now if you take that, vs other rewards suggested. like cosmetics and charms then it may be worth it to make more types of rewards than going to town on the cosmetic team, so the animation team could shoulder the burden here.
-
no developer is going to want to maintain 32 Killers because of one perk, its absolute waste of their precious time.
-
Been playing over 2v8, which is great. but there is always some bs windows operation that starts in the background.
I have no clue why this is suddenly happening. -
I find that Survivors focus too much on healing, especially against a Legion and Oni.
I have no proof, but im pretty sure Im the one doing all the Gen progress in EU atm.
-
I agree that New Borgo was better than Old Borgo and I think the game spaces in general could be more dark, but also Coldwind needs to become night, its so bright and it fits Texas chainsaw better than Dead by Daylight.
-
This is a good idea, I could easily play a 1v4 game while I wait for a Killer 2v8 match.
My hope is that BHVR will do that to make sure Killer congestion is as small as possible on release. -
Smoke bombs sound fun
Maps should have a fold out animation and provide default crystal bead to other survivors just around you.
-
I love that other Survivors and Killers can hear her, best feature and one Ive asked for since the first speaking Survivor.
-
Ive only heard it was possible, never done it.

So when is trapper going to get a HUGE and needed buff? He has an abysmal kill rate. Above the (noob free grades, where they can only phase other noobs)
At this point just kill switch trapper or give him NOED buff after a gen pops for 30 sec.
My solution make the settings speed and trapper bag ALL base kit and make the survivors not being able to disarm animation traps for other survivors to pass by. Base kit corrupt intervention.
I have no clue how the developer thinks this killer is in a "OKEY state"
1 hook stage. They found a map item and the killer becomes more powerless than usual.
1 Hook stage whole game, because I can't do anything against perks or map itemhttps://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ZVQH2Q0TFQ2D/sk-c3-a4rmbild-2025-05-17-043025.png
Please, I beg you, I have to see how you play him to get left in the dust so easily. You got Twitch or Youtube?
Do you need help setting up recording software? -
Update: NO the problem still persists. there are other types of updates that windows does which could be at fault.
-
I would personally love a Shark Killer, make it float over the ground and behave like it is experiencing the Fog as water.
and then get the Jaw's licence and make some skins for it.
-
You can speak around it, its also way easier to just speak nicely to people and avoid the trouble words.
-
Im not experiencing the same problems, though I think its the case if Killers don't contest the Generators they will fail.
And some Killers seem to want to take their sweet time getting a down rather protecting gens. -
Okay I figured out why it happened and its two things.
1.For some reason playing DBD in Full Windowed Mode does not tell Windows 10 that DBD is running, so maybe dont update at 23:45. It used to, but since the last patch this is no longer the case.
So I beg of you BHVR incase someone is not as clever as I around the Computer, make sure you figure out how a program tells the Operating System that it should not start updating when your game is running. I know Windows actively looks for fullscreen programs as an indicator that someone is being worked on.
Dear Bug Fixer please check if the required flags are intact and not bugged on the current build.
You can utilize the Windows API functions (SetThreadExecutionState) to inform the operating system that your application is active and should not be interrupted. This is vital for people's enjoyment of your game on Windows 10 and beyond. Please please please I hope someone sees this.
Anyway for everybody else who has experienced this I figured out that my Windows is set up to start updating during 23:30 to 12:00. SO what WE can do is…
Check your FullScreen Mode settings, putting it to Fullscreen should fix it.
OR
In your windows options go and change the Active hours, so that your Windows knows when not to start updating itself.
This fixed the problem 100% for me, I was playing 2v8 last night and ZERO problems.
Alright, so its fixable and BHVR really need to check their Windows API code for the game to make sure its OK.
All in all, happy it could be fixed. -
Dort worry fam, Lights out comes soon.

Another day another large FPS stagger issue at exactly 23:45

Got a fresh clip from yesterday — a Nea phasing through the ground like she bought the Phasewalker DLC.
But honestly, the cheat isn’t even the wild part.
What’s truly absurd is that Dead by Daylight still treats the game client like a trusted eyewitness… despite the fact it’s the prime suspect. While other games enforce movement server-side, DBD’s anti-cheat is more of a dreamcatcher: it filters nothing but still hangs around for comfort.
And when cheaters start flying? BHVR just politely asks for video evidence — as if physics bugs now require film permits. At this point, the only thing getting punished consistently… is player optimism.
Damn thats like poetry!
