I play on the Xbox One X, If you don't like salty messages you can turn them off.
Go into:Settings > account > privacy & online safety > Xbox live privacy > view details & customise > communication & multiplayer:
"Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites = block / friends (instead of "everyone")
This will auto block every message or party invite from randoms not on your friends list or everyone entirely.

I'll tell you what I've noticed when playing killer on the Xbox One X.
The frame rate increases with each survivor eliminated from the game, when all 4 are dead the frame rate is compareable to 60fps, try standing near a wall or the killer shack as the last survivor dies on the hook and pan the camera around.
I'd "guess" this is down to CPU where it has to do less and less work with each player character removed from the game.
The X has a meaty GPU but it's CPU is lacking which would make sense with the above and your post regarding the tutorial which one has 1 player, you. -

6200 shards in 9 hours or so if the DLC comes out tonight, highly unlikely. -
Played a game as Doc, double pip, 29k BP, killed all 4 survivors and it gave me 50 shards for going from profile level 1 - 2, not too shabby.
You also get the 1800 bonus so if you had 1000 going in you have 2800 right away.
The content for Curtain Call is there, we will probably be able to buy the 10mb unlock key on the store tonight for the usual price of around £6 UK and of course the auric cells packages if you want them too. -
At least it looks like they are in the office doing some work
I think 2.0 and Curtain Call will be out on all platforms before the BP event on the 5th July. -

I wonder if on PS4 (I play on X1X) you will get the patch just in time for the blood point event but NOT the Curtain Call DLC...
Imagine having a 2x BP event but no Clown/Kate to spend the BP on.
The 2.0 cosmetics patch has to come first followed by the Curtain Call DLC and today is the 27th June with the BP event starting on the 5th July, not long left. -
It's NOT "wall hack" in Dead by Daylight aura perks are a part of the game.
Wall hack implies it's not intended to be part of the game and a player is cheating by using hacks to be able to see other players through walls when he should not be able to.
DBD has aura's and perks that let you see them, #DEAD_WITH_IT -
Gunner release on Tera console today, I'm playing that while I wait.
Although I'll probably uninstall the game again due to the "feedstock and alkahest" RNG bollocks but it's something to pass the time for a few days. -
If somone is healing you right in front of the killer you know you can cancel it yourself and interupt the heal leaving you free to run away etc right?

I was watching Bahroo on Twitch who I knew via Borderlands (WTB BL3 btw, hurry up allready!) and he started to play DBD.
Really enjoyed it so the next time I was on Twitch I watched SxY HxY / Angrypug play DBD and then decided to get the game for myself.
I wonder how much of this games success is owed to the Twtich community, it feels like a runaway niche cult classic game which became popular due to Twitch.
Were the streamer exclusives a thankyou nod in their direction. -
The steam forum has easy access to your steam profile here that is non-existant.
That means unless you specifiy, noone knows what platform you play on unless you mention it.There has been some anti-console posts recently due to the way the console player base has reacted to the delay when it comes to 2.0 and the cosmetcis/Curtain Call DLC.
The console players are frustrated and vocal about it in many seperate threads, the PC players get sick of reading it every day, mix that together and you get drama.There will always be survivor mains that complain about camping and tunneling, killer mains that complain about SWF and both "factions" that voice their dislike when one or the other recieves a substantial buff/nerf via perks or quality of life changes.
That will never change, it's up to you weather you want to read or take part in those kind of threads.If you avoid those threads I've found the rest of the forum to actually be pretty good and there are a lot of good disscussions going on.
Also as someone else said, the Dev's seem to be active here, never felt like that about the steam forum. -
I looked at it this way when I read it:
You are "stunned" not "rooted", you will not be able to look up/down or turn around etc for the duration. -
Diamond stone's current effect is being moved to the Honing Stone the purple version (the one that's currently 50% will be changed to 100%).

I only watched the very last match and it was Nurse vs 4x P3 Claudette's, I was not surprised in the slightest.
Were any killers besides Nurse/Billy used in the tournament at all? -
Yeah just watched it again, the new text just says that it increases your chance to become the obsession nothing about the perk behaving differently if you are the obsession or not.
Seems a bit strange for a non-obsession perk to make you the obsession though. -

I remember him saying it increases your chances of being the obsession so I'm pretty sure it is still an obsession perk.
I'll go watch the Q&A bit on DS again to double check. -
I'd prefer it if they would go back to the old way of showing survivors ranks above their head in the lobby even though this would cause MORE killers to lobby dodge.
As it is now a rank 20 survivor can play with his/her rank 1 friends and get matched agaisnt a killer that has just bought the game who is rank 20 because the matchmaking system thinks it's fair as there is a rank 20 on both sides.
As for the DS/SC nerfs in the latest Q&A, great changes and it's about time especially regarding DS. -
FYI Just went into the DBD channel on Twitch and typed in "!stream" it says 1 week and "x" hours so no Dev stream this week.
Just incase anyone was planning on getting out their pitchfork and torch during the stream -

They will have to do someting because the killer in Deathgarden has guns and that means AIMBOTS... if left unchecked it could get out of hand really fast.
DBD has speed hackers and people knowing where everyone/everything is, which is annoying but nowhere near as bad as it will be for runners in DG if the hunter is using an aimbot especially considering there is a sniper rifle in the game. -

I don't mind waiting but I thought about something today.
There's supposed to be a new chapter every 3 months now, by the time console get the Clown DLC it might only be 2 months until the NEXT chapter!
Also, having it out on the PTB for over a week and then out on PC for a week or two before console really killed the hype surrounding the new killer/survivor for me.
I've watched so much Clown on Twitch that he allready feels "old" and he's not even out on X1X yet.I hope they don't go PTR->PC->Console for future chapters because it kills all anticipation and hype as opposed to downloading them at 2am as they go live and playing the new killer for the first time without seeing them beforehand.
At this point I don't even want to play the Clown, just give me bamboozle / pop goes the weasel for my other killers and I'll be done with the Curtain Call DLC.The cosmetics and the balance changes (pallet vaccum) are much more appealing than the Clown DLC itself.

2x BP Event on 5-9th JulyWhenever it comes, I'm ready, meanwhile I just keep farming BP and buying add-ons for Billy/Doc by spending 100k at 1m down to 900k and then farming back up to 1m again.
I'd guess the patch and the Clown DLC will be out by Thursday or the following Tuesday, that's just a guess mind you. -

Decisive StrikeThese are the holy trinity for killer & survivor, their best meta perks with the 4th being down to preference.
Unless you're doing terror radius Doc, Insidious Leatherface or some other niche killer specific build these perks are the ones you will see most often on killers and survivors.
Until BHVR release something better or buff something weaker that can compete for a perk slot not much will change. -

I've had a USB keyboard plugged into my Xbox since forever, use it to chat in MMO games (ESO, Neverwinter, Tera) or to type on forums and more.
Any USB keyboard works and it only takes up 1 USB slot on the console, I have it plugged into the back port and the wire tucked away nicely witht the keyboard in front of the TV.Still wouldn't want post game chat as a killer main though, especially as I mostly play The Doctor on X1X.
From what you see of it on PC it's either a simple "gg" or people flaming each other in the post game chat.
However, PRE game chat for survivors would be good, they can arrange to use party streamers etc. -
BBQ and Chilli, run it on every killer for the aura reading effect with the blood point part just being an added bonus.
It stacks well with Pop Goes The Weasel/Overcharge and Nurses Calling with Ruin to complete the holy trinity. -
It was a hard choice between The Doctor and The Hillbilly.
The Doctor has everything except map mobiltiy plus he looks great and has some good cosmetics now too (black and white dapper suit, red glowing eyes, aluminium baseball bat... soo good!).He generates points like a machine, makes skill checks harder, has an easy time locating survivors, can lock them out of using pallets, he's all round frustrating for the survivors and great fun to play as for the killer.
I couldn't ask for more.
