  • If you don't even go into the match you should not be losing a pip but if you have loaded in you should still be able to play the trial.

This way you can skip that part, you can choose between gen/rescue and mindgame killers if you aren't dead, if you have no chance you will die without wasting time like right now.

The reason killers should get easy win in this case is because it's choice between hard win (yet survivors basically have no chance of surviving too at this point, hard lose for them to the point op made a post like this) and easy win(which tend to result same ending, but faster and less wasteful by skipping "no chance but can waste time" part).

If survivors actually had a chance of winning it wouldn't makes sense, but the game never meant to give them a chance by design, so it will make more sense to skip slow losing part than giving them more chance.

Please read this and think about it. The hatch has been changed and gives a survivor a hail Marry to get out. If there is no hope in helping someone why would I bother? Why should the killer get and instant kill? LOL lets see the D/Cs cause there is no point playing. This is just going to cause more problems. God if you are so scared you wont get your 4k because they might get a hatch or a door open then may I suggest Git Goot?

That's what I'm saying lol. Slugging the 3rd person to deny hatch for the 4th person is a strategy. If we're to remove a valid strategy for killer as OP suggested, then I'd like to see a strategy removed from survivors as well, and since EGC provides the most chance for survivors to be toxic, teabagging at the exit Gates, it would follow OPs reasoning behind wanting the killer's strategy removed.

Yeah and I did not say its not a strategy but I am just saying you take the ability to 99 then we take the perks that block our way out after door is opened and your way to one tap us.

  • @Advorsus said:

This post very much sounds like someone who plays only one side and they're very new to this side. But I like to compromise. Sure you can have your pickup....

But exit Gates now regress at 10%/s, and if survivors are within the exit gate area for longer than 15 seconds after they're powered they instantly die.

No more 99ing exit Gates or waiting at the exit for the entire EGC to teabag. There, balanced it out for you.

blood warden is gone Noed is gone and all exposed statuses are gone then sure no more 99ing gates.... lol. 99ing a gate is a strategy just as much as slugging is and camping and tunneling. If you want the timer started go open the gate yourself.

Well, maybe we should just kill last two survivors if there is more than 1 gen left and 50% progress hasn't reached, so they don't need to divebomb last one.

OK but if all 5 gens are done and no deaths survivors get to turn on killer and kill them then. LOL you are making no sense if the killer is there how do you think me running in and killing my self helps? Why should you get the easy win lol just quit you are just salty because you have no one who would help you lol.

Basically you have general idea of what survivors are doing, if you know there is something survivors has to do you know they are doing that.

It doesn't change as much as you believe, as it will not say where the survivors are, maybe except cleansing... but then it can be used to bait killers from safer place.

Ok so I should then know who the killer is going toward through the hud. It will not change much but hey they know I am on a gen there for I should know in advance that I will be targeted by the killer. The killer should not know what each survivor is doing if they are not near them sorry if you can't find survivors that is on you not me as a survivor. You should be patrolling gens and knowing two bots are not on gens means that you can ignore them for the time being focusing on the survivors doing their job. If you do not see the problem here then you never will.

    4x "Fixing generators"

Yeah, what can I do with that, I know it.

Knowing that two are not on gens and two are means you know who to target. If they are not on a gen then you don't have to worry about them. That is what that does. Knowledge is power and a killer should never know what every survivor is doing at all times. unless they are just that cracked.

  • @fulltonon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2886545#Comment_2886545

If that 1 survivor is themselves, it is pretty selfish I'd say.

By changing this it'll be die together or live together anyway.

Ok but then killer is not allowed near the slugged person so the other survivor is not just dive bombing getting both killed. LMAO.

  • @fulltonon said:

Well, maybe last survivor should die immediately rather than opening hatches.

this way, they have to be more team player, it will reduce selfish hiders and help making game better place.

Lol how many times have you played survivor tried to heal the slug person for killer to be patrolling the area making trying to heal impossible cause either they will get downed or they will get the other person just downed. Then they get chased and downed. Not all are selfish when hiding it is some times the only way 1 survivor may live lol.

  • @GuyFawx said:

Killers are no longer in the power roll any longer and until that is fixed killers will slowly die out we cannot give more buffs to survivors. If you think survivors need buffs then your clearly at the lower end of the spectrum and this isnt me saying you suck but go watch how easy it is for a 4 man to cause stress in a killers match. I say this as someone who has been trying to relearn Legion before his revamp goes live and i keep getting constant 4man swfs pop up usually with a TTVr in the mix and they are the most brutal matches because they are all in communication the TTV is coordinating and trying to put on a good show for thier viewers. Now I am not saying I am the best but I am also not the worst and a Killer thats not feared will easily get stomped so badly its no longer fun to test out new builds and perks. Its basically saying you need the absolute best of the best as well as a killer that can perform well against a 4man.

This is incredibly rude and ableist you should re-evaluate what you say before posting. This buff will only affect the solo q it will have almost 0 benefits in SWFs. Giving killers this info would be killer (pun intended) to the game because it would give way to much info to killers. Nurse and Blight with this info would wreck all teams no problem with their mobility.

  • Survivors should have a suicide button that after 1-2 mins of laying on the ground you have the option to ######### it does not stop slugging but if you are laying on the floor you can move on to the next game. No penalty to the killer you just move on and they get the same points as the would if you just bled out. Is this abuseable? sure. Is there anything in this game that isn't abuseable? No most things are. Why not give this option after 1-2mins of just laying around so its not to boring. If you think the other survivor(s) will get you up your likely to stay alive. Its the same as killing one self on hook. At least you didn't dc... right?

  • We get 1 notification with no indication where the hex is. The killer has the sound of the boon to lead them to it. You can guess its CoH and regardless it is best to kick it out. If you have 4 hex perks and I am cleansing one I will not know what it is till its gone. There are a ton of hexes while there are 4 boons thus far. Maybe down the road they may need to think of this but like you get a loud sound notification that a boon is near by. Survivors only get a quite fire sound that is easily missed by running or walk or breathing. The two perks are not the same. The biggest issue is that it is an AoE style benefit to all within not just one survivor.

    1) We’re already in unranked mode, because we no longer have visible meaningful ranks anymore.

    2) In many other games, unranked is based off of a hidden MMR, because it would be a mess if players from all skill levels were randomly matched together.

    3) In many other games, unranked is still sweaty. It’s just where people go when they want to try new things, or to complete challenges, and don’t want to hurt their ranking. And there will always be people hanging out in unranked because they want to stomp on the “more casual” players.

    This is very well said.

My biggest question on ranked and unranked would be how they will work the grade system around it. I get that grades mean little to the over all game but that 1mil points for get Iri 1 is something that helps build new characters. If ranked awards more points I can see many going there but if I just want to take it easy I would go to an unranked playing field for fun.

  • Unless she is down with the toxic she might not be into it. I am assuming you are not close lol. Honestly though if you want her to play let her try it out on your account first so she can get a taste before biting off.

  • The only issue is the permanent scratch marks as this makes you hard to track if your not injured. How many killers find a survivor before the hatch because of the scratch marks.

  • @GoshJosh said:

I'm hoping this is one survivor and killer players can agree upon. Suffocation Pit, Azarov's Resting Place, Sanctum of Wrath, and RPD. They all have one thing in common: they are bowtie/hourglass shaped maps, with gens on each side and one or two in the middle. They typically lead to very unfun matches for both roles. Either the survivors are smart and repair the gens in a way it's impossible for killers to patrol the entire map; or killers can just lock down one side of the map, easily forcing a three gen situation. They all pretty much also have small middle chokes, where avoiding site from the killer can be nearly impossible (especially RPD). They essentially incentive killers camping both generators and hooked survivors - understandably so.

What are your thoughts on these maps? Are they ok as they are? Would minor tweaks make them better? Or should they be reworked entirely?

If a 3 gen does not happen all three of these maps are far more survivor sided. It can be even harder to three gen on a map like RPD because it is a two story map and if you commit to long to a chase with out a hook you can easily lose the three gen before you start. Many maps suck for killers fewer suck for survivor (Looking at you sheltered woods as the only map I can think of off the top of my head for bad survivor maps).

  • With that type of change Dead hard would be dead hard. Imagine having a second chance perk that simply makes it so you can't do anything no point to the perk at that point I argue just take it out. Honestly NOED is blown out as being a bad perk and yes nothing more irritating than never being downed and right at the last moment you are downed and killed because of a perk that rewarded the bad play. If you are not hooked right beside it then there is the chance you team can find it and get rid of it. No matter the changes they make to "broken" perks they will never make everyone happy.

  • @AndyKuky said:

The game is already losing players. Limiting people to one friend will just make it worse.

I have always been a fan of the idea where you limit perk options for each extra person in a SWF, since being in a SWF gives you free access to the information many perks give you. So solo players and duos get 4 perks. Three stacks get three perks each. And a full SWF only gets two perks each.

Again you are punishing a group of friends who want to play together? I get that they can be hard to face but the idea that punishing a player for playing with friends is just insane. If you want to kill a player base that is already leaving then sure punish people for having friends to play with. Balance the game around survivors in SWFs not try to nerf the SWFs. I don't get why a killer can't change what killer they would like to play when looking at the group. Honestly comms will never go away and so they need to just balance the game around having them and give the solo q comms so they can be just a sweaty but then buff the majority of killers to give them even a chance to kill survivors. Lets not nerf but buff.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

But I shouldn't escape every killer so easily, and I certainly wont play if I verse so limited killers. They either leave mmr how it is, change the system completely or go through every single map and make sure its balanced.

I dont think it's a crime to want survivor games harder while still seeing the whole killer roster. Even if I get the odd weak teammates at least I can have fun versing all killers.

I agree but there is the biggest problem how do you balance every map for the nurse who can skip the pallet or walls? The legion is laughably weak because even with the power to jump the pallet they still have to cross the pallet. I agree that honestly survivor matches can be laughably easy against some killers the higher the MMR the more likely you are to face Nurse and Blight and not much else. This also means that these survivors may have a problem with killers they haven't versed in a long time. I find that my SWF team dies more to the Hag then any other killer because though she feels like a weak killer she can completely shut down saves with her poxey teleport camping. Crouching only works well to get to them but if she is proxy camping which they almost always are its impossible to stay crouched and walk away. Honestly many killers just don't have enough gen pressure or anti-looping to be powerful in the meta.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

Doesn't matter if you want balance, highlight issues with either role it always end up being the same "killer main" "you just want easy games as killer" and its honestly kinds pathetic.

Just because I'm good at the game doesnt mean I dont deserve fun. And when I'm highlighting issues as a survivor you cant ignore them and focus on the killer part.

Why is everyone so against the game being fun for the weaker killers even at a higher mmr... all it ever seems to come to is survivor fun and power.

Stomping on low tier killers just because of strict mmr isnt fair for them, maybe I was born different. I will always encourage fun for everyone, encourage hooks and punish the unfun play styles.

I agree that low tier Killers but the problem is how you would go about inflating them? Smaller maps the number of times I have randomly spawned on Midwitch (only an example) and you hear the nurse and 1-3 other survivors simply D/C because nurse on such a small map is impossible to play against cause she is just to mobile. Any buff you give to a killer she will be able to run with it even more if its for all and not just the killer them self. I don't think there are that many bad players on here cause they either don't care about the game or have quit cause its to 'Hard'. I find I have became better at looping nurses who are not sweat players but still struggle with blight.

The only thing they really need to do is just re-work Video Tape, as it's clear to me that the re-work for that specific add-on was a complete bust. Making the box somehow searchable from all angles would also be good, though that requires changing the Jigsaw Box model and likely needs approval from IP holder. Anything beyond that to address the AFK Pig issue risks being way too heavyhanded.

Ture I think having the key move to a different box would be a fair compromise if the pig is AFK in front of the box the survivor needs to go to as it means the pig would have to move. If she is close enough to completely block access then it moves after say 10sec. You realistically shouldn't be standing that close to the box for that long even if its end game and the last player is scrambling to get their helmet off. Even if they start you can pull them off or push them away. I don't want her to be hit heavyhanded because its not fair to people who play her legit and I am afraid this will cause them to nerf her because something is being used in a way that was not intended.

  • If you increase the speed of breaking pallets for the whole game not just the map the game the problem becomes that on a make like Shelter woods with arguably the worst amount of pallets that speed boost means you could be even more screwed then before. I would be fine with removing a few pallets but at the end of the day you remove pallets survivors will cry.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I’ve been killed more by teammates standing in front of boxes than pigs.

Yeah I feel that and this trash play isn't hyper common because it is locked behind and Iri addon but its the enough to be annoying. Teammates can suck if you are solo or have a rando on the team because they are out for them self.

  • @FrostyEyesSusie said:

Pigbowl is fun because it, unlike what's usually claimed, does have counterplay. It requires the survivors to 99 5 gens, then immediately leave in order for the doomed guy to escape through the hatch. If more than one person needs the blocked box, someone needs to kill themselves in order to free the other guy. Nobody can make them do it, so it's entirely in the hands of the survivors who leaves and dies. Make your choice.

It's the closest to an actual SAW trial as you can get, which is why it's so soulful. People should enjoy it for what it is and stop whining about it, it's not like it's a good strategy for the Pig anyway since she's spending 9K in addons for at best a 2K in BPs if someone dies. Even less if everyone escapes. That alone severely limits how often somebody is likely to get Pigbowled, which makes it even more of a winging for winging's sake. It's NEVER gonna be a problem for anyone in any significant capacity.

Sure but the point of loading a match on DbD and not some SAW trail is that you expect to get chased by the killer... If you find it fun go for it but as it does not actually go with the intention of how the game is meant to be played it is actually not fun. You are right there are counters but lets face it if you are solo que and the survivors have never seen this trash play or just don't care about others they will do their gen and move on. AFKing is code of conduct as it blocks normal play. At the end of the day the more the trash play is used the more likely the nerf hammer will hit the pig again. Keep playing like this and I can't wait the here the killer mains who do not play pig because she truly is a weak killer gets nerfed and they will WHINE because yet another killer gets nerfed. In the past weekend I had 5 trails with this type of pig. It was annoying when you ran into it 1 or 2 times in as many or more weeks but now people are doing it just for the meme. So I will say it again to the pig mains I am sorry that people who think its funny to possibly ruin the game play of others might ruin your killer once more. Play how you want but know that the fact that you had to add the addition that one may have to suicide for the other means that this could possibly mean that there is no true counter as you seem to think there is. Kill=Skill and all that lol.

  • @Yankus said:

I wish survivor mains were forced to play a few games against high mmr swfs just so they can experience what killers actually complain about. Too many play a few games at low mmr against baby survivors and think they've lived the entire killer experience.

I once played killer often but gave up because it only took like 1 or 2 4ks and then stuck with a group who have more skill then you. There is no moving up slowly its either you learn to play well and work hard or you get wasted and quit. I will argue survivor is easier to learn because you have 3 others to help out if they are good. Both sides have their struggle but the game will always be in favor of the survivors because there are 4v1. If they balance they killers to combat the SWF swat teams that are the biggest problem and if you nerf them you lower the quality of solo que. There is a hard balancing question to go.

Thing is, you're often already better off just healing on the spot unless CoH is close to you. Running to CoH costs time, running away from CoH costs time. Remember why self-care was often called a killer perk? Because people ran to the safest corner of the map, self-cared and ran back, only to be hit and run back. And that is a perk you can realistically use all over the map. And even with that, it's only really good as solo survivor.

Boons were basically buffing solo survivors to swf, without buffing swf. Literally any other healing perk was better than CoH for swf. You'd think that the more buff you have, the more it's worth to run to CoH, but the opposite is true. Without any buffs, CoH would take 9 seconds per heal+(time to run there+time to run back)*2(because 2 survs), meaning you better both be injured or one of you is dead on hook, otherwise you wasted time if the circle was more than 6 meters away. With Botany Knowledge, that would be 7,6 seconds, so you'd save 1,4 extra seconds you might think, but healing in the spot is already 12 seconds with just botany knowledge.

As a 1v1 comparison, you would need to be closer than 5.6 meters with 2 people from CoH to be worth healing up 1 health state together. And that's pre-nerf. And that's not even considering the fact that you need to find the totem, you need to bless it and the killer can snuff it before you get the opportunity to.

The big issue with CoH comes with 2 people healing and the range to self-care on small maps. Because it was in speed better than self-care. And self-care can be amazing if applied correctly. On a map like Midwich, you could use it as effectively as self-care and BK, which made it a bit powerful.

The speed being nerfed isn't going to solve the issue with the boon. It will still be extremely fast to heal 3 injured people up and still be super helpful for people who self-care on maps like Midwich.

75% is fine. Cap the 75% per healing action, not per healing person, and reduce the range of boons to 16 meters on small and indoor maps.

Interesting points and you are correct that running to the boon and healing is not time efficient but how many killers return to the hook after and unhook? Why do the return? There is a guarantee two survivors in the area with one being hurt. My point still stands if the person wants to heal that 90% the person pulling them of does not have WMI and if they do the healing may be interrupted. If the injured person is not in chase they will have the chance to go to the boon and heal rather then having to look for someone else. Again continues healing for all or situation healing. If the boon is in a good location it can be beneficial to the whole team and if the whole team has just CoH and all four are up then you are not far from a boon guarantee. Run what ever healing or no healing you want but with the new loss of healing while not healing, healing under hook is no longer viable and the option for all to heal in a location is a good one.

That remids me of a game I had some weeks ago... I was playing ghostface, the map was The Game, and a claudette stunned me with a palet and Tbagged me a lot in one chase, so I leave them and I go for another surv, eventually I hook someone else and this claudette goes for the rescue while injured, I deny the rescue, down them and hooked the claudetted and proceeded to return the Tbagging a bit and went away, inmediatly all the survivors DCd and called me toxic with a sprincle of insuts.

I was ok bc I knew i was going to end at least on a 2 kill and all that happened mostly early game so it wasn't much of a waste of time.

But hey I got some tasty bp for half of a game

Why would they D/C. If I get a ghost face to t-bag me I laugh so hard. Honestly I love when ghost face stops after a pallet stun and t-bags. I don't care after that if I die because that just makes me happy. I don't t-bag mid chase I find that just pointlessly rude. I admit to T-bagging in the gate if the killer was camping or tunneling. If you are toxic and can't take someone else being toxic crazy idea... DON't BE TOXIC lol.

  • I play RPD so little I neither hate it or love it. If I had a chance to learn it like Hawkins then I would probably like it but I hate using map offerings (my sparkly collection must grow). Also I know people hate map offerings because they can be sending you to an unfair map just to be a bully. I will begrudgingly use a map offering if I have been to the swamp 3-4 times in a row but only to get away from that map. I think most people hate indoor maps but as a killer there are a lot of line of sight breaks and that library is so busted. They balanced the library by putting hooks but took them out thus making it a dead zone again. I am all for more maps because it gets tiring going to the swamp and corn fields all the time. Variety is the Spice of life.

I lose as Survivor like 70% of the time in Average MMR, but I am kinda okay with it. I am literally a Survivor trying to survive a massively powerful Killer. I think if you are like me, you should look at if you had close games, if you had good chases, and had fun. The only thing I am not okay with is when the Killer demolishes the squad easily at like 4 gens left. Also, when you keep improving at Survivor and learning wiggle chases and 360 spins and teaming up with SWF or other High MMR lobbies, the game starts to become a little bit too easy/repetitive for Survivors. I know this might be like only 20-30% of the DBD player base, but still, it's true.

You are absolutely right and this is why so many high MMR killers run into the toxic clicky clicky groups because they are bored of normal play and want to bully but as they lose and their MMR goes down the drain they then go to the average and lower MMR and continue to be bullies. As must as I hate being chased if the killer is decent it can be fun and once they get you can feel accomplished Love looping nurses: she absolutely petrified me now I find that I have learnt better and thus can mess with them a lot. I am the potato on the team against demo. I just never play against him and forget he can super lunge until he lunges...

  • I like the rewards I mean an BPs are welcome but as Mandy said there is no MMR test today. If your MMR has tanked then welcome to you new home of camping and tunneling trash lol (sobs internally) and I hope you can redeem your MMR to get out of that cesspool of players.

  • I had a Hillbilly let me go after killing my 3 teammates. I looped him for 10 minutes and we talked afterwards and he said he was laughing the whole time because we were mind gaming ourselves and some how I kept coming out. Most of the time I have killers let me go when the other 3 dc. Not always but sometimes.

So I was bored and decided to make another "How to make X a better killer" thread. So here's a few changes that I think will make Sadako AKA The Onryō a better killer:

    - GIVE HER A SPEED BOOST WHEN MANIFESTING: Manifesting/Demanifesting is really weak right now because survivors can still hear Sadako's terror radius and see her within 24 meters. So giving her a slight speed boost when manifesting can help her better in chases.

    - MAKE CONDEMNED AN ACTUAL THREAT: So right now the Condemned effect is a complete joke, so there is a couple of changes that could make it better:

    • - Make survivors that are fully condemned suffer from the Exposed status effect.
    • - Manifesting near a survivor that is within 24 meters of you will make them gain (one) condemned progress.
    • - Any survivor holding a tape that completes an action (gens, healing, cleansing totems, unhooking, etc.) will gain the Condemned effect quicker.
    • - Taking a tape from a TV will make that survivor gain one condemned progress.

Feel free to share your thoughts/opinions/ideas.

She definitely needs something but please not the manifesting near to gain condemned because she really only manifests near you and that would incentivize her to manifest and de-manifest right beside you until she can just kill you. Right now even with her ability to tell your putting a tap in the tv to shut it down you can usually get away. I will hold onto taps just for fun because honestly condemn status means nothing most of the time and the fact that I can take like 3 taps to get rid of it means its not scary at all lol. It is sad she came out with such promise and died just as fast.

  • Interesting but a few things. If the one with WMI is hooked their healing benefit is gone. If I am healing the person off hook and the killer comes back and they must find someone else that is another lose of time and the effect of WMI is wasted. CoH is an AoE heal for all. If I am in CoH with someone it is even faster. If there is Shadow Step added the killer may not be able to find us at all. While the healing speed may be slightly faster CoH will always be the best option because if the killer comes back they can hopefully make it back to the boon and I am able to heal them in the Boon it is still going to be slightly faster. AoE free heal for all wins 100%.

Doesn’t make it less annoying that I HAVE to do that to move onto the next game.

2 to 4 minutes till you next game. If they don't open the gates open them yourself even if that is not your job. If you don't want to push them out then get up and walk around till they leave. It is not holding the game hostage to wait to the last minute because you get a few (and I mean a sad amount) of points for staying. If I am in the gate and someone is on the hook and there is more then 2 of us I may be trying to distract you so the other can save. THERE IS A TIME LIMIT TO HOW LONG SURVIVORS CAN STAY BEFORE DYING.

  • @MilManson said:

"Boil Over? Nerfed to please the streamers, now only usable in a very specific map with swf on comms."

No it was nerfed because it was overpowered, not because of streamers, streamers just highlighted the issue to BHVR how on some areas you literally couldn't hook a survivor and survivors were taking the game hostage to grief.

Most definitely was not a balanced update cause if you were going to down me I would run up high and force you to either walk the long way around and drop me or you would drop down and thus drop me. It can still be powerful if you are left slugged with flip flop on but meh other perks are better to bring.

Well my intention wasn’t to counter toxicity specifically (the t-bagging was just an example). As I’ve explained before my real motivation was to present an opportunity to make the End Game more exciting. I can see though that maybe something like the exposed status effect is a step to far. Idk it would just be nice to have something to raise the stakes.

I really do encourage you to see what it was like before EGC I get that it can be a boring moment in the game but the game is basically over at this point and you might get one more but I can hear the cries rising now.

  • I see this happen more in the solo q the SWF groups and it has to do with if one survivor is looping this side I will do gens here not thinking about the issue of 3 Gen. Talking helps cause we can say omg we are about to 3 gen.

No its not an April Fools joke. I understand NOED would need to be changed or reworked for it to make sense. I just don’t see the devs completely removing it. Its not like them.

NOED should not be base kit. DH, DS, BT should not be base kit. They are perks if you want NOED waste a perk slot. If you are tired of survivors t-bagging in gate walk away (both in game and IRL) if EGC has started the survivors will have to leave at a point or die. You do not get to have NOED because you have toxic people in the gate not fair. I assumed it was a joke to make it base kit. I never said they need to remove it.

  • EGC is so survivors can't open the gates and just stay in the game. If you think the t-bagging is bad now while in the gate go back watch videos before it was introduced and you will see just how great it is. At least you know they will have to leave or you will get a kill either way the game will end. As for NOED becoming base kit in the EGC ummm.. lol April Fools right? Cause its got to be a prank you are pulling.

That would look pretty funny. Be an indicator for your teammates to actually do gens. The amount of times I have been face camped and the other survivors are just crouching around the map or in the basement is painful. But then again I only play solo q so expect pain

Yeah I was talking about being in a SWF the potatoes that you get in Solo que is pain. If I solo que and see the 3 just crouching in the basement or bumrushing to farm me I am going to try to kill myself and if I get off hook I will try to play but I am not going hard if I lose I will blame the farmer not the killer.

Sure sadly that's how it is atm. I mean i get why the killer thinks that but it's partly his fault for committing to long and how terrible the maps are.

Yes and no. Yes the killer committed to me but if the killer caught me off guard and hit me if they let me go I will be healed for sure. They may be able to push another off a gen but if I am in the area I am taking that gen. The biggest problem is the speed at which we survivors can complete gens. Even with out using tool boxes and having three survivors doing separate gens while one is chased we should get 3 done before the first hook if the one being chased is competent are looping. Big maps are 90% of killers down fall and even small maps can be hard with even lower mobility killers. Balance needs to be struck because the more camping and tunneling a killer does the more survivors are going to dc/kill on first because why bother playing a losing game.

That's a huge issue that really needs to be addressed: DBD it's 2 game in one, for survivors. SWF and solo are HUGELY different and they need to decide if they want to give to SOLO players the same advantage of SWF thus making the game PLAYABLE for solos or (and i really don't know how) get rid of SWF. As a solo player , after 700 hours i'm fed up with ridicolous killer's combo(all'exposed on killer with extreme mobility, super speed buffs on instadown killers, no gen allowed on fast killers etc.) that destroy the solo players, since one unexperienced survivor it's enough to get all killed and are unusable against swf since they have comm providing killer perk analysis, all sv position, gen statuses, totems positions, killer positione etc. etc. etc. This game can really be a lot of fun but not like this...

100% agree Solo que is unbearable and I now try to avoid it unless I am just trying to get some points and not caring about actually getting out. I see it for the killer side as well because even in solo you will the odd time get good survivors that just shut you down. SWFs honestly make the game unfun but also fun and you take the option for me to play with my friends I'm out. On the other hand you give the Solo que the comms and advantages of SWFs and you will have every last killer leave the game because they will go from a 50/50 kill rate to 10/90 in survivor favor most likely.

  • @Starrseed said:

Sadly there is a bunch of survs that dc when they get down first. It's like the game is lost when they dont get a 3 gen loop befor first hit

Honestly it feels more like if I get chased for 3gens and then downed the game is lost cause like 90% chance the killer Face-camps with a 10% chance of Proxy camping. I don't bother dcing cause I'll hang out with you till the other three are done gens and leave. I just will always ask for the ability to kick the killer in the face if they are face-camping. Kicking the killer does not do anything to the killer and is an animation but its better then me flapping like a bird.

They should buff old perk. such as play with your food.

Good idea about buffing old perks... Honestly I don't know what PWYF does lol. Dark Devotion was a topic on another forum that could use a buff and I agree there are killer perks that need a buff just like there are survivor perks that need a buff. Never see self preservation or the skill check corrector that came out recently (so useless I forgot its name) maybe they need a tweak.

We all love it when new contents comes around the corner - thats normal, especially since DbD provides the same mechanic and somewhat similar games.

But with every new chapter we are getting more Perks and less maps- while the core mechanic and issues stay the same or are getting fixed with some halfassed perk. Without sounding disrespectful, I don't think we should get more chapters in a pace like this.

In my honest opinion, DbD really needs to slow down in terms of new perks and killers. It is getting harder and harder to catch up as a new player in terms of Bloodpoints and leveling (Getting perks 3 times, Leveling above P1 is useless right now) while Core mechanics like Boons (not the % are the problem, the fact they don't have some sort of cooldown or restriction is the problem), Kicking generators (without a perk simply useless), spawn of potential too strong or weak loops (Strong windows chained together or just dead zones), and many more things need tweaks or changes.

And I really miss new themed maps. I especially would've loved a map for trickster (btw I want his lobby background back) or Ghostface. I just think that if we keep this pace with releasing every 3 months a new chapter etc. will hurt the game more than it will help.

I agree I am just getting my 8th survivor to have all perks at P3 (which I know does nothing but I just want to do it for myself). I personally want different maps because I am sick of the swamp. Trickster map could be fun and a few other killers should get new maps added even if they have some already. I would love to have another map for the huntress or the Vomit Mommy. I believe that her lore had her in a desert and not a wet environment so it would be nice to have another map like that. The Clown could have a literal circus map and that would be amazingly fun. The BP grind is real but I know they are looking into it so I believe some how it will be figured out. I would be fine with a new chapter of maps but they would not be able to make money off it because you do not need to own the DLC or Characters to go to the maps.

  • I am a survivor main and games against bad killers often end up feeling like a gen simulator with the possibility of seeing a wild noob swinging at a barrel lol. I never use dead hard (for all you killer mains crying about it I am you best friend... why yes I wanted to DH into the wall thank you) and what ever change happens I will say this: if I am running Shadow Step (SS) and Sprint Burst (SB) then I am going to break line of sight and you will most likely not find me. That will become the next meta move and killers will cry about that while survivors cry about insert what ever and the crying will repeat. Honestly killers needed better slow down perks because SWF could finish a game in 5mins and the killer could see one of them. Best SWF match I ever had we all had prove thy self and built to last and tool boxes we either 4 or 3 manned gens and did not go anywhere with out the others. We had 4 gens done before the killer saw us finish the 5th. The killer opened the gate and gave up. Was this fun for us? It was funny. Was it fun for the killer? I would guess not. If every survivor main took a long hard look at the killers they laugh at and say ez win you might realize many killers NEED A BUFF. Solo que is an L at this point because its impossible to balance a game for SWF and Solo and if you give killer the option of solo ques or SWFs, SWFs would never get to play thus driving players away. Killers might rejoice at the death of SWFs but when there are no survivors their is no one to kill and Vise Versa we get rid of all the killers who we don't like there will be no one for use to play against.

"Do bones" does not apply to killers the same as survivors. When survivors do bones, they are gone for good. If killer does bones you just bring the bones back.

Very true lol the amount of times a killer has stomped my poor toxic CoH and SS while I was putting it up on another location because I knew that one was compromised (thanks Meg for taking the killer right to it) is comical and if there is a gen done next to a totem location the better cause less likely killer will be looking through that area.

So you're saying camping a hook is a legit strategy and should never be seen otherwise. As a kilelr objective is to kill

Play how you want. Is it a stategy that when playing a SWF might net you 2k sure. Is it a good and fair strategy from a survivor side? no. Do I personally think that you are scum of the earth if this is all you know how to do? Sure. Do I really care at the end of the day? No. Do I think there is a true way to fix it? Nope. Do I think killers should be penalized for doing this? IDC. Do I wish that survivors who have a killer breathing in their face had the option to kick the killer instead of flapping like a bird even if it was just an animation and not doing anything? Yes that would be funny. Do I wish my pips that I was spoon fed were protected so if I was camped and tunnel so the trash proved they have 'true skill'? Sure but meh not even trying you can easily get to grade 1 (1m bp all that matters). Not sure what you were aiming to trip me up on but honestly if you need you camping and tunneling and you don't want to get better then I'll just keep improving so I can escape and not get camped or waste you time so my teammates can book it out leaving you skill-less because if kill=skill and you get 1k or of a possible 4k obv you have no skill. 😂

  • Honestly NOED is only annoying when the killer has played like trash gets a down right beside the totem and forces a 1k because of it. I don't personally think it needs to change and for the love of all that is holy do not go to OG NOED the pain. If everyone really thinks its unbalanced than put its activation after the 5 gens are do down to having actually hooked someone. If you haven't gotten a single player on the hook the whole game but get to down someone right at the end because you were either AFK waiting for it (I will find your totems if you are AFK with me... Fool me once and all that) or the MMR system put you with a top MMR SWF team you shouldn't get the free down. I do not personally care about this perk and I always assume you have it. I am not running around cleanse and booning every totem but I will take note. If I am the one downed I hope my team can save me but if not oh well you just move on cause at the end of the day its a game. Also if they have NOED I would like the option to kick the killer on hook. It does nothing to the killer no stun or anything but just a satisfying sound to play and a feeling that you kind of did something lol.

  • As a survivor main I can say I agree to a point with you. It is boring for survivors to when one person is in a chase and the three others are on separate gens and they all pop around the same time we all know you are going to camp first hook. It depends if I am playing solo or in SWF if I will successfully get off the hook. I see killers cry about DS because its 'unfair' but I had to start running DS for this very reason. If you had went and got someone else no DS would have happened but because you have already 'lost' you have to tunnel. If I am in a SWF they will have the other two gens done before rescuing and if there is noed will often find and cleanse it.

The simple fact is genrushing is in the killers head the survivors whole objective is to do gens and if I am not getting to chased I am going to do a gen. It is not my fault that a lot of maps are massive and for slower and M1 killers struggle to play them. The gen is quite fast and this is what leads to feeling that groups are gen rushing but if you start a chase with a decent looper who goes long enough 3 gens can realistically pop before you make it to the hook. It is boring for both sides and its hard because often if I actively look for the killer to loop and what have you I am called toxic. Nothing is perfect but the devs need to balance the gen progression because I can hear the crying now if they up the time to finish a gen lol.
