    The Legion!

    ...

Jk they're probably the first ones to die, after the Pig and Ghostface.

I feel like the 4 of them would kill Ghostface and the Pig together, then get really cocky over killing them. Then they start fighting over who gets to wear the iconic masks. Julie and Frank kill Susie and Joey and then later they get chainsawed together by a Bubba wo wears either of their faces.

    :)

As for a winner I'd go with the Spirit. She can travel to the ethereal plane. Couldn't she like stay there until only few killers remain? Also she's already dead, has a katana, is rage incarnate and her body parts are being held together by entity magic. Also she'd probably be teaming up with the oni for a bit until she double crosses him.

Edit: but then again it says "who survives", spirit is dead ๐Ÿค”

    Final answer: everyone dies

I could imagine that. It could be like her mori, with her appearing behind him and stabbing right through him before hacking him to death.

Hmm true but demolagorgon has really tough skin which could maybe eat a chainsaw and give it time to react but who knows. My money is still on demo cause itโ€™s strong and cuwute.

He can eat a chainsaw? ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

  • I expect it is far less likely than Silent Hill.

Resident Evil is a franchise that is still expanding with new additions and reboots which are hugely successful. But then again, this could garner interest in new Resident Evil games and bring in more money.

I'm not sure how Capcom would feel about having their most prized license crossed-over in to another company's game.

Saying that, Ryu from StreetFighter did appear in a Smash Bros game. So who knows.

It's not totally impossible, that's for sure.

  • @xCarrie said:

Overall winner would probably be Demoboi. It eats bullets like nothing so most weapons wouldnโ€™t do much, it can regenerate health quickly, it can travel and pull people into the upside down, and just in general is really strong and fast. I donโ€™t think any killers could do anything against demo really, they might put up a fight but one good slash and most killers are down.

Demo would have to be careful. He would act on instinct. If he leapt on a no-hoper like Ghost Face, Legion or Pig and started to munch away...a Leatherface could creep up behind him and turn him in to Demosushi ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Imaging my Trapper run away from other Killers on purpose to make them fall into his traps zone. Because unlike Doctor can zap, Billy can saw, Oni can demon strike...Trapper cant setup traps in mid fight.

Put Nurse would float right over them...if she survived that long ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Wraith.

I imagine he would remain cloaked and not move at all until one killer is left, tired and bleeding to finish him off.

That's a very good point...but he would have to be careful of Hillbilly and Leatherface chainsawing across the arena, a stray DeathSlinger harpoon or simply letting out a cough after inhaling some of Clown's tonic ๐Ÿ˜„

  • I don't believe so. I think reveal videos have just appeared on YouTube previously, but I could be incorrect.

  • On the other hand, if I've had a match with that particular survivor, I do have a little killer dance, especially if they were the last one remaining.

Sometimes you can almost hear "Where the hood at" as I get my murderous groove on.

  • True. Somes maps are handy for having hidey-holes with hard to see totems. If the totes are too out in the open, they'll obviously be cleansed quicker by other survivors, making completion of the challenge more lengthy.

  • @BraveClem said:

If they re gonna all have their own unique voice, then,no problem,i dont want another legion case

At first I wasn't really fussed if an alternative skin of the same gender would have the same voice...then I thought how stupid Hopper would sound with Steve Harrington's high pitched hooked scream ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • Music? I can get prickly if people talk to me while playing ๐Ÿ˜‚ It's one of those games where listening is very important.

  • Using a map is good for the cleansing challenge. You can see the totems straight away.

imagine playing dbd to relieve stress, anyway, usually after I play dbd too much I need a break to actually relieve the stress dbd had upon me lol

Even though it is just a game, I agree that DBD can raise stress levels. My profanity filter is definitely deactivated when playing it.

  • Everyone who predicted Pyramid Head is now acting like Ann Coulter in November 2016 ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • Herd mentality. Follow the herd. It's how these losers get their kicks.

But saying that, I will occasionally teabag as a middle finger to a chasing killer on the way out the gate if they were face-camping or tunneling me.

But I don't sit and wait, nor do I do it during the match.

  • It's like one of Pyramid's housemates returned early and walked in unexpectedly.

    Pyramid Head: "Wha?"

  • Well I would like to see Quint from Jaws but seems pretty pointless with out the shark or even a Martha's Vineyard map ๐Ÿ˜

If I had to pick one, it would be Dr Sam Loomis to go with the Halloween chapter.

  • "Hat wearing man who plays computer games online in bald head shocker!"

  • This is an interesting point.

The multiple Legions have different voices and stances (maybe just male/female, not sure).

So in theory, you could have both genders for one existing character.

Could Dr Loomis actually be a possible alternative for Laurie? Fingers, toes and everything else crossed.

Hopefully we'll see in the future.

I agree with all of this. Except for Dwights elf outfit. I hate it and will always hate it. Way too silly to see someone running that and immersion breaking for me.

The other stuff you mentioned, yes makes total sense, like elephant clown. But elf Dwight is something I can't get behind and I hope they never release anything like it again.

Yeah I don't like the Dwight elf skin either. Hopefully it was a one off. They shouldn't go too over the top with season stuff either. Jumpers should be it.

This is a game which involves horror, so it would be a real eye-ball roller to have 'Bobby Banana' or some other goofy skin mincing about the map. This is a DBD, not Fortnite.

"We want shirtless Myers!" Stop. Stop right now.

  • Even though the Claudette skin, with the exception of the thong, is pretty meh, I don't think we should go down the full silly route of having Survivors dress up as frogs and alike.

Whilst some season skins, like Dwight's elf costume, are acceptable,I think it would take away from the game's atmosphere having Jake dressed as a hotdog, Meg running around as a dolphin and Adam doing gens clad in a cactus costume.

The Clown's elephant skin is great because it fits the character. The new Legion bunny skins also have a macabre comical element which actually works.

I think the dev should rein in on having too much 'fancy dress' elements with Survivors. It'll end up looking like a New Year's Eve parade rather than 4 condemned souls desperately trying to survive.

  • There's an extensive thread about this already.

    I agree though.

  • I think all are very good suggestions, with exception of number 11, the Legion idea. Maybe a ultra rare offering could be added, which very drastically shortens Legion's dash duration but acts as a standard attack instead of a deep wound hit.

With 14, the extra gen, that would have to be put to the test to see how it works and if people prefer it.

But overall, very interesting ideas. ๐Ÿ‘

  • I think if we could op-out of being matched against SWF...that would certainly be the end of SWF ๐Ÿ˜„

Its all about perspective. In retrospect many games that were revolutionary and iconic can appear simplistic and basic now.

That doesnโ€™t change what they did for their platform or genre. Youโ€™ve said it in your own post but Iโ€™ll repeat it here silent hill had a truly amazing atmosphere. Which Changed the way we viewed horror in gaming completely.

Pyramid head was a whole new threat something beyond the more simplistic ghouls and zombies of other horrors. He and the games in general were far deeper than what was on the surface! Which in all honesty is hard to say for many horror games that came before. (and after)

Now we see this done successfully in many mediaโ€™s but at the time and especially in gaming it was completely new.

also resident evil became far more successful because it went down the action route (action survival) which was the popular genre for the time most definitely. Whereas silent hill stuck to its pure horror routes. Not to discredit Resident evil though, the first game especially was also extremely important for horror in gaming.

    sorry for the lecture ๐Ÿ˜›

    No it's good discussion.

Resident Evil featured a good variation of enemies beyond simple zombies and ghouls, there were a healthy mix of animal hybrids and of course Tyrant, the final boss, who felt really special at the time.

The sequel continued to add imaginative foes to the mix like the lickers and hunters. There was again a good selection of impressive bosses too.

Whilst Resident Evil is about bio hazards which cause mutations and the walking dead, Silent Hill has a far sinister feel and sense of dread.

The creatures look like poor souls with their only purpose to exist being to stalk, torture and kill.

Whilst being similar in base gameplay and being of the content genre, they're both unique in their presentation of horror.

They really are the StreetFighter and Mortal Kombat of horror gaming.

  • I would love to see a DBD themed TellTale style game.

Yeah those Demo and Deathslinger nerfs were devestating

Grow up and cut the victim act

    ๐Ÿ˜˜

  • I would want that too, but are we getting simple reskins or totally reshaped figures, regardless of gender and size? What about voice effects and default stance? We just don't know.

If we could simply have anyone affiliated with a franchise I would naturally love to have Dr Loomis for Laurie...but I don't think it's going to work that way.

We'll have to wait and see.

  • Lockdown has been eased. The farms have been reopened.

I mean, not to sound biased I sure hope there's an opt out from PC. I don't mind playing with other consoles.

I've heard there will be an opt-out option from crossplay, but obviously your wait times will be longer than when crossplay is enabled.

  • Survivors who decide to act like butt-nuggets during the PTB really are stupid. They'll all start whinging with the rest of us when the new update is littered with undetected glitches.

  • As long as there is an option to opt-out of crossplay, I don't see what the concern is.

  • I can understand why. It's an inconvenience going to the hook so the incentive is to have perk progression.

  • It wouldn't take much.

There could at least be a push stick function to scroll through the menu theme songs.

  • It's a major graphical update. Should be here before the end of the year.

It's like each killer getting it's own chase/menu music. It'll happen eventually, although music updates could tie in with killer reworks.

  • I agree. People are slating these new perks but they're useful in several situations.

Soul Guard is really handy against a NOED slugger for exampe.

  • Add either a Decisive Strike or some Borrowed Time and cook until well done.

  • BRING ON THE TRUMPETS!

  • Soul Guard and Repressed Alliance can lead one to be quite mischievous...

No no, instead if you crouch more than 5 times total in the exit area you are instantly killed.

    That works.

  • As I've mentioned previously, I think Silent Hill is a great fit for the game and the DLC look very well done...but I'm also of the opinion that the original Silent Hill games were not that mind-blowingly fantastic. They were very good with a unsettling, creepy atmosphere, but there wasn't that much to them. I am a fan, but it definitely wasn't without it's flaws.

Take Silent Hill 2, (Pyramid Head's debut): It was basically walk around getting lost, shoot one of maybe 3 types of creature in the fog or dark tunnel, find a key, unlock door, do one or two easy puzzles.

Now it could be said that DBD is simply run around, avoid the killer, fix generators, unhook a friend, and run out the exit. Sounds simple enough.

But it's just this belief that Silent Hill was this revolutionary game that changed the horror game genre forever. That's just not true. Whilst it was a commercial success with a big following, Silent Hill came three years after Resident Evil (which was influenced by the original Alone in the Dark games).

Resident Evil was a monumental success and many of it's aspects where used in Silent Hill (collecting coins/medals and putting them in slots to open things, for example).

It could be down to how important a franchise is to the individual. Maybe they hold it in such high regard as it's close to their hearts.

I myself just love the imagery of Silent Hill more than the games themselves. I also admittedly enjoyed both the films.

I would personally like a the controversial Mahunt turned in to a chapter with James Earl Cash as survivor and Piggsy as the killer. Now that's a game close to my heart, but others might not rate it so highly, which is fine. I doubt BHVR would want another chainsaw killer and another pig ๐Ÿ˜

By anyway, looking forward to playing as the Pyramid.

  • Very welcome when taking out that particular tea-bagger.

  • Yeah I picked that up to.

Respressed Alliance and especially Soul Guard could be a wee bit irritating.

  • He has to go...

    ...down to the basement.๐Ÿฅ˜

  • I always thought one way of deterring this kind of tomfoolery would be to have a kind of separate EGC in the exit gate area.

If a survivor spends a certain amount of time in the exit gate area, the Entity kills them for being a rosette-winning nincompoop.

  • The artwork is good, but they're not spectacular in terms of originality. The Clown elephant costume was. That was something eye-catching.

Any way, well done to winners. Must feel very cool to have your creation featured in your favourite game ๐Ÿ‘

  • I would say yes. He was keeping you hostage.
