  • It might have something to do with the upcoming Halloween festival event. Plus a lot of people might be tuning in at once and overloading the servers since it is October. This is a game where someone might play for awhile and then put it down for awhile. I put it down for a few months, I mean I was putting in ridiculous hours cause of Covid. I got it on Switch and played it nonstop. I even bought all dlc up until and including Silent Hill dlc. I recently got a One X and with it being on Gamepass, I'll try it on Xbox to see if there's any difference.

  • I bought all dlc. I love the game that much and I also wanted to support Behavior cause they are a great team. Dlc isn't that much and I like playing as famous people in the game. Maps are free and you can experience everyone in game without spending a dollar. You only have to pay to play as them. If this game were made by EA or Activision, that wouldn't have happened. You would have had to pay or else be stuck with vanilla maps, survivors, and Billy, Wraith, and Trapper

This hurt me cause I'm a Main Meg that is prestiged. 😰

  • I am in agreement with OP. I feel some are nitpicking too much about variables like Maps and such. We definitely have needed a new system for awhile now. The current system just doesn't encourage enough flexibility. A level 50 Trapper main has a difficult time with trying out other killers when he is being matched with survivors that are equal to his Trapper. Some are saying "If people know the basics of a killer that is all they need". That's not true. Most killers play vastly different to each other and getting continously stomped as a new killer isn't fun.

  • Just another reminder that I'm glad I play on Switch. No messaging system at all. This is a competitive game and so people will be awful and I like to avoid that.

  • So 2 perks are very effective and you hope to rid them ? I don't understand what you mean. Both take time to get for one thing. Another thing is Spine Chill helps survivors against stealth killers. That is the purpose of it. BBQ is a good perk for killers cause it keeps pressure on survivors. No more hiding for the entire match and feeling safe.

I actually like the bot idea. Like, yeah, the bots will be terrible... but at least the bot would try to do objectives instead of just giving up on hook if they bring back a d/c penalty. Hell, a bot working on a gen is better than half the potatoes you get as teammates at red rank in solo queue.

I also want two gamemodes added. One is an Ai killer with you and three Ai bots. The other is you as killer and 4 Ai bots. This would work as training modes to practice and so that newcomers could get a better feel. Valve did this in their Left 4 Dead games.

So, for full context my build was Discordance, Nurses, BBQ, and Corrupt. A build I have a lot of success with. Being Ghostface + Knowing what people are always doing = profit.

I grab him at the very start of the game, hook him, and then down someone while they were unhooked. They immediately hopped on the gen so I slugged and went to push them off. Nea left and he didn’t. I see he’s had past issues with Ghostie boys, but did he expect me to just leave him to do the gen?

Side note I fully planned to just slug him for pressure and not even put him on his second hook as I already had someone ready to be hooked. TTVs truly are something else.

Full video with sound ----> https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/hwbica/this_is_tunneling_now/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

He was a crybaby. That wasn't tunneling at all. For one thing, you even let him get off the hook and heal. You also didn't camp when he was hooked. He just sucked at the game. He was running a green Spine Chill instead of a purple one for one thing and it was going off. Since Ghostface has a low terror radius, that was his clue to get off the gen. When he was healed, he was foolish enough to go right back to the gen even when you were in the area. Streamers tend to annoy me with this game. When they down a survivor, they act toxic for "entertainment for viewers". When they make mistakes, they act toxic to save face for their viewers. They should go play Gta V or Cod tbh.

I'm so happy the ban is gone tbh. Never have to play on Haddonfield again~(until the ban is back)

Perfect example on why they need to return. I don't like a lot of indoor maps, yet I play them anyway. Some maps are more suited for killers and I play my best. I was Ghostface at Spirit's Home and i hated it. I love the map as survivor though. I played the map, lost badly, survivors tea bagged, I sucked it up and continued on

Friday the 13th is a legal battle, even for the actual Game by the same name. Doubt it'll ever make it in any content form into DbD.

There's speculation that now that the Wes Craven representatives now legally have the whole rights to NoES there's whispers that Robert Englund's version may be an option. YouTube Paulie Esther for thos rumors.

The legal battle started cause Sean was getting cheated out of money. Behavior could opt for the reboot version to bypass a lot of that. Gun and Illonic are trash and so it doesn't surprise me that they would try to get away with more money.

Lol. Her main weapon should be her hunting knife from the second movie. Gotta love though how creative kills were in the first movie. Angela was smothering that girl to kill her and so no one could hear her scream. She was mutilating the girls private parts with the iron.

Sidney Prescott would definitely be a great survivor. I love Friday The 13th, but I'd rather have the reboot cause the game had original Jasons and Tommy.

  • Well there are more people playing the game than there are people on here. We are just the Super fans that love the game so much that we stop playing it to get on here to talk about it.

  • I've bought all the DLC for this game without regrets. I haven't even played majority of them yet, but they give me something to look forward to in the game and I also wanted to support Behavior. Personally I think all dlc is worth it in this game. You could do far worse with your money in other games.

  • Those are good choices. Not sure how Alien would work though. They are hive minded and work with the queen. Unless Entity could manipulate one somehow.

  • There are far more toxic survivors than there are killers. Every match as survivor and when I played as killer, I ran into toxic survivors. Always people that teabag at the exit gates, etc. Why I prefer playing as survivor.

  • Some prefer one over the other. I prefer survivor over killer. As survivor, I run into less toxic games. Yeah there are toxic killers out there, but it seems that there are far more toxic survivors. I play random public games and it just depends on the game. There are some great team helper randoms out there. I try to help my team constantly. One match on Midwich with Deathslinger as killer, I helped hide a survivor as we were at a dead end on the stairs. I used in game emotes to tell them where killer was. Basically pointing to the corner to stay there and follow me when he left.

  • I encountered a Feng trying to block me in Elementary School. Killer disconnected though before he found us. Only time I've ever been blocked and yeah there are survivors out there that will do this. I guarantee you that they are Friday The 13th players that are the usual teamkillers. One of the main reasons I quit playing that game.

If that's your point about making the survivors difficult, you should take another path to play this game. The survivor's path is already pretty hard. As a main killer (Legion), i can tell you that killers have something pretty unique called "Attacks".

This is not an studying game, its a survival game.

Using your same words: A survivor has items, killer has powers. Both can have synergized perks.

Im sorry but i don't share your idea, in fact, no offense, i feel like you got a very bad game and came here to post this after the match. Again, no offense intended, but i can read like 7-10 per day of those posts and i usually don't reply 'cause nothing of value can be took of the discussion itself.

If survivors did a good job, be better. Learn from your mistakes. Take your anger off the game, take some fresh air and come relaxed.

Play for fun, not for the sake of humilliating the survivor.

We're main killers. We must be better. This game has to leave the toxicity and this is the correct path to do it.

Best of lucks out there, the fog stills with us.

    Most wholesome post I've read.

  • Her perks are really good for one thing. You can give her different outfits and styles. She's athletic and not a junkie

I’ve never heard of a killer lobby having a long wait before. They’re normally almost instant for me. I wonder why it’s like this on Switch? Also, does the game run smoothly on Switch? I’m thinking of getting one and if I do, I might get DBD.

I'd recommend it. I have it and all dlc on Switch cause it is my only modern console. I sold the others. I also have modded retro Mini consoles and a Silver Slim Ps2 and I like older fashioned games as a result.

If you are going to play it casually, joycons are good enough. If you want to get high ranks, you're going to have to pay for a Pro controller for $70. I can't stress enough how joycons are useless with Huntress and Nurse. The frame rates are stable. Game was never jaw dropping in graphics and the graphics aren't that bad here. It also is nice in Handheld mode, which I've used during thunderstorms. Que times for survivors are fast, almost instantaneous. Killer though for some reason can take some time and requires some waiting.

  • Lol. Guy said he is OP when Clown is second lowest bottom tier killer after The Legion

  • I play on Switch. Survivor matches are fast to find, but killer matches have ridiculous wait times. Matches are always stable for me

  • Problem with that is that he's not a stealth killer. He, Trapper, and Wraith were original killers. They were made to show the different powers of killers. Trapper uses traps to catch survivors off guard, Billy uses full on assault to decimate survivors, Wraith was made as a stealth killers to sneak up on survivors. A Chainsaw is a very loud tool and Billy was made as a foot soldier to accommodate this. Removing the sound wouldn't make much sense.

  • It's a competitive game and so there's going to be toxicity at high levels. This game is like playing a sports game online. Emotions are going to run high. Now some think this isn't a competitive game and I don't understand this. 4 people try to escape a human controlled killer while the killer tries to kill them all. So it is a win or lose game. I play on Switch and even with no one using mics or messages, you will find people using emotes to act toxic. Tea bagging, survivors taunting killers with emotes, etc.

  • Well to be fair, it is kind of difficult to accept a 2k as a win when the remaining survivors are teabagging at the exit gate.

I really don't get all of these posts saying you're renting games... you're not you own the game just like any other downloadable game. I seriously doubt you'd lose anything and they'd be in hot water if they just up and shutdown and took everyone's money. You all do realize that cloud gaming is the future right? Games are getting bigger and consoles and even pcs won't be able to keep up. Look at all of the complaints for when a modern warfare update comes out. Your console will have room on it for one game. Internet is getting better I have 0 latency and guess what?! no more lag kills because all players connect to the same session in the Google data center.... so if you have ######### internet and you are the killer you won't be teleporting around the map and killing people from a mile away. You will simply stop moving.

I'm seeing a lot of new users with one post commenting and I don't know if it is the same person or what. Anyway, Stadia is very individual dependent on the success or failure of it. Someone might have a good connection with the data tower and someone else might have a terrible connection. Cloud gaming will without a doubt be good in the future, but not now. Google sure won't be like Neil Armstrong on the Moon with it either. Microsoft is releasing XCloud soon and that will crush Stadia. Sales for Stadia have been very poor and they recently released 3 months of Pro for free as a result. People can be in denial about it, but facts are facts. It is massively failing.

Google also has a nasty habit with shutting down projects. You say Google wouldn't screw over Stadia users when they have done that to various customers in the past. Microsoft and Sony are more trustworthy with ecosystems compared to Google. Cloud gaming is cool if you care about it. I have excellent Internet and didn't like my experiance with PS Now when I tried it. I stick with Nintendo these days cause they never follow trends.

See, I don't have any low character level killers. Gotten everyone to 50 pretty much (but not beyond as I do end up prestiging killers I'm good with) so that system wouldn't help me much unfortunately. But I do definitely think there needs to be some way to make it so that someone who is "good with X" can "try learning Y better" without going against people they'd have a chance to beat if they were playing X.

Learning new killers with the current system is frustrating. Like when I was trying to practice hatchet throwing and I had a toxic Laurie taunting me. We currently have to bite the bullet as Megadeth once said and it shouldn't be like that. I love DBD and I also love Behavior. I've bought all Dlc and I've bought 2 tshirts to support them, but we definitely do need more game modes.

  • I'd honestly like if ranking was different and that each character rank would determine who you would be paired up with. Like a Level 1 killer would be paired with Low level survivors. That would fix the problem cause yeah, good luck learning a new killer when everyone is in high ranks. By the time that you would get the feel of things, they are already teabagging at the exit gate. I'd honestly love to see a mode where you play as a killer against 4 Ai bots. Friday The 13th did this. Will they be as good as Humans ? Probably not, but they would serve as practice with no pressure.

  • The Shape cause he is so quiet. On a side note, I'd love to boop Amanda alright 😁

  • Matchmaking problems lately that are getting fixed. Probably a glitch since rank reset hit a few days ago. I was playing as Survivor and I noticed that killer was Rank 18 or 19 and one person in our group was rank 8 or 9.

  • He's talking about how all these streaming services are coming out of the woodwork and they forgot about On Live. I've tried game streaming with PS Now in the past and hated it. I've got great Internet cause I don't bother with Cable or Satellite TV. For shows and for horror movies, I've got Netflix, Shudder, and an HDMI DVD player. That's why I pay for premium Internet. Still games were laggy and not a good experience on PS Now. A few months ago, a thunderstorm took out Internet lines and it took a few days to get them fixed. Too many factors out of my control when it comes to streaming games.

You can friend request without friend codes. I've often sent friend requests to players I've played with on Switch.

That is true. I meant no messages explaining who you are.

  • I play on Switch and so yeah I understand. We don't have a messaging system cause Nintendo said that they wanted to maintain a family friendly console and messages can open up bad doors if a person is an adult predator. Friend requests are done by friend codes. So I am saved from toxic messages, but I can't congratulate others either.

  • I've been complimented for being a great teammate and unhooking and healing people as Meg by some survivors in a recent match. Map was Swamp and killer was Pyramid Head. With just emotes, I organized how we could all fix some nearby gens at once instead of 3 on one gen. Gates were open and one guy got hooked and timer was ticking. I distracted Pyramid Head while a Detective Tapp unhooked the survivor and showed him the exit cause he was lost. All 4 of us escaped. Very rare to see good vibes in this game.

Only 11.6 thousand active stadia players

12,000 people worldwide ? That's fairly shocking. Probably cause Google has screwed up the delivery since Day 1. I was going to give it a shot until I saw reviews. Then I saw how Google were acting as parent with content creators on YouTube and completely refused to get Stadia. It is a trust based console and Google are not a trustworthy company. They could pull the plug on it at any minute and you'd lose everything. Even games you buy there, you don't own. You basically borrow them and they are completely tied to the service 100%. I've been seeing a few Stadia commercials lately and no one is interested. It is like the modern Atari Jaguar. I've got amazing Internet and I've tried streaming games on PS Now and thought it sucked.

  • @Veen said:

You basically described the challenges, and your storymode isnt lore friendly, survivors hope is the only thing that keep them in the entity endless loop.

There was one person that was thrown in the abyss and he wasn't finished yet. He actually escaped it. He was the one that created Hatches and Keys. So it is lore friendly. The game mode itself would encourage a lot of teamwork and trying to solve and avoid traps. The Abyss is far worse than Trials. That's why most survivors keep moving forward. Abyss is a desolate place and would be interesting to see what it looked like

  • Nothing wrong with either one, keeps the game interesting. Besides, most people that constantly use Moris are toxic anyway and they do me a favor by letting me go to a different match. As for keys, I like them. Makes it so that you can't ever really trust your friends. Last night, I had a flashlight and randomly searched a box with no luck based perks and I found an escape key. I held onto it to look for the hatch. I did this cause it was me and a Dwight and Claudette left. Map was Auto Haven and killer was a Ghostface. Dwight literally hid the entire match as camera spectating confirmed this after I escaped. Claudette was too afraid to tackle the last generator and this Ghostface wasn't even that good. I fixed majority of gens, found the hatch, escaped. Match went on for ages cause both were too afraid to hit the last gen. Claudette got hooked when doors were open and I was rooting for her. She jumped off the hook and I was cheering and they both escaped. So yes, keys can be good to leave a boring match.

Remember, the entity buffs the ######### out of killers. You really think Susie could pick up David or Jeff normally? No, but the entity makes killers much stronger. So I'm sure people like Ash, David, and possibly Sam and Dean would fight back at first, but then would realize they have no power against these killers

That's the point of this game. People should watch the YouTube video "Why you wouldn't survive Dead By Daylight." It explains why people like Ash are at the mercy of The Entity. Entity would basically be Satan as it is a multidimensional being of pure evil with diverse powers. It gives killers buffs and makes them almost superhuman

I am still for the Karma-Matchmaking, where you get flagged for dcing, and only matched with other dc-happy players. That way, they can ruin the game for each other.

People caught doing that can get banned for one thing. Another thing is that you don't earn as much BP in lower ranks compared to higher ranks. People that do that suck at the game. It isn't hard to take out new Level 20 players. They leave trails everywhere, backfire gens, will hide in closets when killer is standing in front of them.

I believe in the Bungie system. DC 2 or more times in a time limit, you get banned for a few hours. Continued DC will be for a few days. DC by accident is very rare. Most do it cause they hate the map or they rage quit. I've had 2 people DC at once and I earned so few BP as a result that it was a waste of my time

  • In a recent match, a level 19 killer was against one survivor that was level 8 or 9. I was like, he's unlucky.

  • I'd like a singleplayer mode.

As survivor, just you, Ai teammate, and a AI killer.

As killer. You and 4 Ai bots.

    Killer story challenges.

Story Mode. Survivors have to work together to complete odd challenges while in Limbo. This mode is the area where Entity throws out hopeless survivors. Like repair a generator while the Entity Claw has impaled a survivor. Each backfire brings them closer to death. Most of the gameplay would be like Saw movies with traps.

It's slugging. Slugging is a tactic that saves you a lot of time and gives you good map pressure. People do it when they down someone close to a hooked survivor and leave them. Killers like nurse, Oni and Myers rely heavily on slugging. It can be boring, but gens go too fast.

These people were trying to do it the whole game. I can understand baiting, but this was ridiculous
