I think the game just needs secondary objectives personally.

If you would apply that to every survivor then you pretty much saved a gens worth of time.
Uh, all survivors are moving at the same time though. Its not like one moves and finds a gen whike the other 3 are frozen in place. Potatoes aside theyre either breaking totems or moving to a gen.
Just logically speaking had you not run CI you would have found them on a gen, running CI you find them moving to a gen. Congrats, youre chasing 1 survivor 10 seconds sooner and the rest are on a gen shortly there after. Then tge perk is gone and youre still down 2 by the time you get your second hook. You get more value out of otger things like pop and thrilling tremors, endurung, brutal, all these things. Anytime I run it I regret it. Id rather run any hex perk rather than CI

Corrupt intervention is really good to stop survivors from immediatly repairing the gen they spawned on.
-This will give the killer a little head start to prepare themself (great for killers like hag and trapper)
-force the survivors to move towards the killer thus shortening the time it takes to start the first chase
-And makes it harder for survivors to work on different generators thus increasing the likeliness of them grouping up (Perfect for killers like plague or legion)
It takes me 20 seconds to get to a gen when the killer runs CI. So congrats, you used an entire perk slot to waste 20 seconds of my time.
-
I hate corrupt intervention. I dont understand why people think its so good.
-
So with trapper using him effectively means you dont care about the gens. Youre going to lose 3 very quickly while setting up.
First you need a bag, thats a must. Purple bag if you have it, yellow is fine, brown if you have nothing else. You also want the trap setting tool that makes setting them faster.
Pick 3 gens that are close and trap all the ins and outs around those 3. Tall grass is your friend, trap in front of pallets not in the middle, for windows ive found its typically better inside the tile instead of out. You can also trap around the loop though thats a little less consistent. Most of your traps are going to be obvious, make sure theres a couole that arent.
As soon as the match starts find them and lay down your traps, grab as many as you can and lay those down too. When 2 to 3 gens pop youre out of time (so you need to be moving quickly, cause they go quick). Find the survivors, on your way grab more traps, try and force them towards your area, if possible hook them in your area. Grab more traps lay them down, chase survivors when you see them but dont be afraid to break chase. You want most if not all your traps down when theres only one left.
From here its going to be a dog fight. It doesnt matter if they know a trap is somewhere and disarm it, rearm it, theyll forget. The hope is they get downed by your traps, you cannot go on long chases.
So what helps with this strat is bbq, pop, enduring and brutal. When you get good at this youll often end with brutal because youre not doing a lot of chasing, hitting or hooking.
There are other strats for trapper but this is the most consistent way ive found of winning, swf or not.
As an example on dead dog saloon my 3 gens were on the backside of mainstreet in front of the saloon. I had every path between the buildings trapped so the only way to those gens were from either of the ends of the street. They were boned before they even knew what was happening.

dude rank literally doesnt matter lol. Do you know how many potato rank 1s there are? you should replace red ranks with swf. It doesnt matter though, soon everyone will see how pointless rank is when they hide your true rank so they can artificially inflate their playerbase. soon youll be ranked with the best sometimes and sometimes theyll be potatoes. but youll never know, because itll be hidden lol
Rank matters more than people admit. Yes, there are plenty of potatoes in red, but theres a gulf of difference between a legit green survivor and a legit red survivor. When im killer i can actually feel the difference between the two.

Yes please. I just played again against red ranks again and I couldn't do anything. I only got 1 fkin m1 hit as Billy in the entire match.
Then thats a good place to start. Forget winning, just focus on landing more m1 hits. A good piece of advice, when they start to 360, take a step back and wait for them to finish. It takes practice and patience, but youll get it. Dont even worry about the chainsaw for now, just practice getting m1s.

Except I do know what a gen rush is. When you ignore lit totems, unhooks, heals, to focus on doing gens. When you split up on the first three, then triple up on the last two.
Gen pressure is a myth, it's impossible to pressure gens against a team that wants to rush and has at least two good loopers.
I watched a chick gen rush so hard she ignored her mend. Seriously. Red ranks. Ended up in the dying state cause she wanted that gen so bad she couldnt be bothered. Ive seen survivors work on gens three feet from mewhile im downing their friend and not bother to stop while im walking towards them. Ive seen survivors work on gens with active rbts on their heads. I saw one dude finish a gen while all three of his teammates are slugged. Yes, the gen rush is real. I dont blame them, if it wasnt so fast and easy to get the W they wouldnt do it. I blame bhvr for not introducing secondary objectives like they should have done 3 years ago

Candyman. If it's not, BHVR have thrown a pretty good curve ball.
However, with regards to the "mysterious survivor", could it be Tony Hawk? I'm only pondering this because of the amount of available cosmetics for the survivor (6 new tops!), and he's worn various outfits during his career. This is obviously just a shot in the dark guess though.
Tony hawk would be lame af

i would say half the time I see someone called camper in my games it’s when when did like 4 gens before the killer even managed 1 down, or the gates have been powered are are probably at 99#... I don’t blame him for trying to secure one kill
100%. I sure would. I have the hatemail to prove it 😂

The SWF groups are doing it intentionally.
Set up a group that's 1, 1, 1, 20 and you'll get matched against rank 20 killers.
They know it, we know it, BHVR knows it, but since Killers aren't viewed as real players none of those three groups actually cares.
I know swf groups that do this. Seriously.
-
Tbf Id like them to stop matching high rank swf with high rank killers too 😂

This whole "optimal objective" thing gives me a bad taste in my mouth. There is no fun in genrushing, there are other things you can do in the game aside from rushing the objective, especially if the the killer has 0 hooks 4 gens in.
So youre saying players should purposefully slowdown to give the other side a fighting chance? I mean as killer ill sometines slowdown a little if i think MM has given me noobs but you cant expect people to behave that way. The point is to win and i wont fault anyone for doing that

I dint thjnk so personally, but who knows. Might be ok

It just blinds the killer really fast. Maybe theres a more efficient way but that will blind them stupid wuick and for awhile

What insane pink add-ons are effected by this change though? BNPS and Instaheals are both less than insane (IMO) and are deleted on use anyway.
Are there any other Ultra-Rare Survivor add-ons? I mostly play Killer, but I'm pretty sure those two are the only ones.
Pink bulb. Hate it as killer, love it as survivor

So that should exist, whereas killer map buildings should be nerfed to shut down loops for survivors. seems awfully unfair to me. And I'm not hanging out in a game where a killer is clearly griefing me. If he had downed me and hooked me, Id have finished the game.
Well I agree he shouldnt have griefed you, but thats not the rooms fault. You should have just reported him

Like you just said, it spawns both ways. In a panic not everyone can see what's just around the corner. The fact us, that room should never be sealed off that way. There should always be a window and a door.
And it shouldnt be possible to complete all 5 gens in 5 minutes, but here we are. If you jumped into that room, the one we all know is there, thats kind of on you

I get where you are coming from and had it been a couple months ago I would agree 100%, but the fact that Doctor was reworked into someone viable (like you pointed out) shows they are looking into the lower ranked killers, it's just slow because they are prioritizing new killers and bugs. After the doc rework I'm willing to give them some slack and time.
I'm just super curious as to how they will rework the powderkeg that is Legion.
The doc rework and map fixes are the only reason im still playing. I had this game uninstalled till they announced that
-
"Killer sided room" 🙄
Meaning you f'ed up and instead of dealing with it you dc'd, which just reaffirms that it should exist.
-
If im particularly frustrated Ill run basement bubba. Its a little carthetic not gonna lie. Tge recent changes did little to nothing to fix the core issues with the game. Maybe a lot of killers are feeling frustrated 🤷♂️
-
Crack Doc is fun: bbq (for points), stbfl, fire up and brutal strength.
Theres also an oldie but goodie: bbq, enduring, spirit fury and brutal
Im about to try: bbq, pop, thrilling and iron maiden. I call it "######### your head on"

As someone who does solo almost all the time, it’s a horrible experience but not impossible to pip. The problem for me is knowing what pallets are used, it’s horrible running towards a loop only to find out the pallet is gone, that’s life or death situations. I have to extend each chase as long as possible, I know it takes 80 seconds to complete a gen, however, for some reason in solo it takes 60 seconds for a survivor to find a gen, mostly likely because they’re self-caring in the corner of the map. Also Kindred is a very crucial perk.
Run windows of opportunity. Fun perk.
Or plan your routes. Before I start working on a gen I know which direction the nearest pallet is.
-
The only real solution to this is to give the person on hook distraction points. Like 10% of bps earned by all other survivors. Something like that. Punishing the camper directly as yoire suggesting is always going to lead to abuse
-
Im not sure which Id be disappointed by more, Alien or Candyman. Alien just feels out of place in this game, snd candyman is meh. Hes fine, Ill take it, but meh.

That's clearly a small version of a regular screenshot. Could've been fake, but it's different from this situation. OP's picture is supposedly a photo of a screen (not a screenshot) that's somehow extremely blurry and jittery despite the fact that smartphone cameras have things like autofocus. OP also hasn't said where they supposedly got this from, as far as I know.
EDIT: For comparison, here's a real picture of a screen that @Dead_by_Gadfly posted in another thread:

Hacking games on xbox has always been a thing on xbox. I remember the old modern warfare 2 games people would walk out with millions of points 😂

I got someone down in the basement, when someone pulled them off the hook tgey jumped in a locker.
That same game someone hit me with a head on, I chased them down and they were so demoralized they suicided and messaged asking why in the hell Im running Iron Maiden. It was awesome

And is a truely funny match for everyone! Enjoy!
And if the next game is the same? And another one? And another one? Simply answer: u will come to quit dbd.
Then those killers will stay in low ranks znd youll move up. I cant even tell you the last time I saw someone camp the first hook.
If the gens get below 3 and you see the killers having a bad game, maybe hes only gotten 1 or 2 hooks, then you need to expect a camp incoming. Thats the nature of the game
-
@FlamingkittyUmad said:
Despite what people think about this game, it's very well balanced. Problem is, that "balance" is held on the top of a pin and the tides can be turned easily and absolutely depending on loadouts/ the map. Everyone has seen all gens done in <5 minutes because the survivors were in SWF, and everyone has seen all 4 survivors dead with 4 gens because the killer brought OP addons. The easiest solution for this problem is to have the entity judge the match and "intervene" by punishing genrushing/ kill rushing.
If all gens are done at a rate that gives the killer no chance of counter play, start EGC early or add a second objective. If the killer tries to kill a survivor super early in the match (4/5 gens still left, not much time has passed, tunneling/camping, mori), protect them and give them a second chance.
Lore-wise this works perfectly since the Entity needs emotion (hope from survivors and rage from killers mostly) for sustenance, and if one side were to gain a huge advantage the entity would be deprived of energy.
This doesnt seem right to me.
While you see people complain about gen rushing I dont think we blame the survivors for that. Theyre just doing the objective optimally. Its not their fault but a fault with the game mechanics.
"Kill Rushing" (which Ive never heard before but fair enough) I think more comes down to match making/bad emblem system.
In either case, its not the players fault and not right to punish them for it.
Id rather they just add a secondary objective (to slow the game down a touch) and implement a better match making/emblem system (which I concede cant be easy to do in a game like this).

To be honest I don’t farm however I do team and by team I mean the worst player in the lobby who has no place in my lobby the rank 10-20 people they get slugged and I use them as a pawn in my game lol only way they can stop it is to dc after I destroy the team I’ll let them do a gen and drop a few pallets on me and let them get out as a thank you lol
id rather do this then tunnel
Interesting strategy 🤔 I dig it

Tbf though youre in the purple ranks. 3 reds and a green just doesnt seem that off to me. When it comes to matchmaking I would think (albeit Im not a game designer) the idea would be for you to face teams that are at your skill level and occasionally below your skill level (to ease frustration) and occasionally above your skill level (to help you get better). In this case 3 reds and a green is pretty close.
And just judging soley off the points of both sides, while you didnt win you certainly didnt get stomped either.

It's both (to an extent)
Focusing on the survivor whom has a trap on till death
It's not finding a survivor on a box and hitting them
Fair enough then. I only asked because Ive had people call the other tunneling before

Idk =p but in the future destroy the other people and farm with just you all left so they don’t have to farm they can just move on that’s what I’d do btw what’s a Karen.
Fair point, I just figured if im throwing a game might as well let them all have fun and get free bps.
