Swamp Map for sure is it my worst fear, some of the hook spawns are horrendous only having one hook on half the map.
Farm maps with jungle gyms connected to cow trees connected to killer shacks are also.
And the RPD map just cause it is too big to pressure given the killers I main.
On specific killers when I see four med-kits I tend to die a little inside knowing that it will be rough.
Other than that I couldn't care less about anything else.

I wanted to play a match of huntress, first game, a modder. She was running at a loop, dodged all my hatchets and then she also had godmode. There were also some other modders because they repaired a gen and disabled my perk. I leave, but I get a penalty. For what? I didnt do anything wrong.
Its just pathetic that modders can just keep doing this but I, who wants to save my precious time, get the punishment. Like come on even Rockstar can ban the modders in their game
Heres proof:

"In Rocket League do you stop scoring in a ranked match so the other team can and have fun?"
Yes. I don´t need win 25-0 if my dominance is pretty clear. Don´t play the game to abuse or humilliate anyone. I´d prefer winning 8-4 instead.
Empathy and sportmanship is important in life and in videogames also.
That's your choice if you want to be empathetic but you can't expect people to be just cause you are. In the end multiplayer games which pit you against others are designed to have a winner or loser, if they play a certain way to win that's their choice, being angry over that is just childish.

They are playing the game denying all the survivors to enjoy it, playing to gen rush only is not playing and playing with camping is not playing aswell.
But you are right, continue to defend this crap behavior, game is loosing players, can't wait to see it going down even more thanks to you guys :)
It's a multiplayer game why do they have to let you enjoy it?
Do you stop shooting people in COD if you are dominating so they have fun?
In Friday the 13th if your Jason do you not kill people so they have can have fun?
In Rocket League do you stop scoring in a ranked match so the other team can and have fun?

Here I was being nice cause I thought you were the one being attacked, oh how the turn tables. I hope you can see your mistakes here and grow into a better person

Is that steam chat? You should just report them to steam with these screenshots and get them banned.
Sorry you have to deal with that, just try find a way to not let it get to you, scum like that are not worth it.

The MMR has been alot better for me.
My solo queue survivor matches have all been pretty much high quality matches where the other survivors are great and the killer is also great.
When I play with my friends who don't play often at all it's a wide range of good survivors and killers or below average but that's what I'd expect as that is in between our skill level.
As killer it's been overall great too, I didn't play killer much at all the few months before the update but now it's my go too.
Personally for me this is probably the greatest level of balance I've felt in this game for a long time.
-
My solo Q has been great generally getting players who are around my level. But the matches I get when playing with one friend is completely random, will have 3 matches where my teammates are all under 200hrs played and then the killer has over 2000, and then the next match is the opposite.
I think the consistency of matches when playing with friends is very off atm.

Although I'm in the 'spine chill is better' camp, the killer can moonwalk towards you and, if it's a stealth killer, you will be none the wiser as spine chill won't light up.
It's been a long time since I used Premonition but I think that tells you the direction even if a killer is not looking at you so the killer can't fake it so easily.
Granted though, it will take a few times searching an empty gen before you think about spine chill and stop looking towards the gen.
Yeah I do feel that the odds of a killer moonwalking to a gen is such a rare occurrence that it doesn't really factor much in the negatives of spine chill.
Yeah premonition is if you look at the killer within 45 degrees, and they are within 36 metres.
I think premonition would be a much better perk and more viable if they added the killers aura for 3 seconds and made the cool down to 40 not 30. That way you can at least know if they are coming to you or not and it may actually be more on par with spine chill

After watching Scott's video, i agree with him on the matter that what is happening with the MMR can be changed only if we are going to play differently.
The rank system is not the same anymore and players have no reason to play sweaty. everyone needs to understand that.
Yeah I think he brings up alot of good points, It does feel like it's pointless to try too hard now as there isn't anything to show from it. I watched his other video regarding an incentive for having high MMR like skins or charms (even though charms aren't good) that definitely would make it worth wanting to be good

Matchamking doesn't work, and will never work because people play with friends, and they rarely are the same rank. The only thing that the new matchmaking did was ######### server pick while waiting for a match. Now i only get 180 ping servers, when it was 48 ping before.
Worse update so far, as killer i have to deal with forced 180 server ping, pallet validations and DH hit validation (yes it also exist).
Yeah I do wonder how it works finding matches with friends, from my own time playing with a mate it has seemed for the most part we have played killers either at my level or his never inbetween. For me I think it's to early to say it isn't working though, but then again I'm not getting that ping issue that you have received.

I'd say this entire post was the argument, and I was juggling quite a few people.
Might've forgotten what the original post was even about.
But then I remembered that I asked why Premonition was trash tier. All I got in return was 'Why Spine Chill was top tier'.
I would say it's because the perks are similar that's why spine chill gets brought up. I agree with you that it isn't trash, it's even good depending on the players play style. I just wouldn't use it cause for me Spine Chill is better. Everyone has different views in this game which is great cause it keeps it unpredictable.
All the best

@Toxicboii said:
Oh now y'all are saying the cooldown doesn't make Premonition worth it?
Lemme put it this way, then. Quality over Quantity in this instance.
Premonition gives you the location of where the killer is at with a mere 'blip'.
Spine Chill constantly tells you that the killer is looking at you.
Yes, I will say that Spine Chill, in the right hands, makes it hard for a killer to catch you unaware. But Premonition further rewards being aware with the location of a killer. Albeit a rough location.
So lets say that Premonition's cooldown is removed... It practically becomes OP because the survivor constantly knows where the killer is as long as they're in range. If the killer isn't fast enough, they may not catch you.
You may say "So Spine Chill is good because it has no Cooldown and Premonition doesn't, what's your point?"
My point is that Spine Chill's effects are too weak to warrant putting a cooldown onto it.
Knowing he's looking towards you is also powerful information in the right hands, yes, and you may have a terror radius to disclose how roughly close he is, you still don't entirely know which direction he's going to come from.
So that would make hiding more difficult because of such a lack of knowledge. Let's say you're in the shack now.
Spine chill is flaring up, and you're in the center of the shack. You slowly vault the window, and see the killer kick the generator, flip right where you are hiding because he saw you vaulting the window, but you didn't see him, and now you're in the chase.
Premonition warns you the killer is in that direction. You go in the direction that's the most concealed when taking that route into account, and the killer never finds you.
Think the scenarios were good enough, or did I make an error somewhere... be nice to know.
I think the thing is that your personal beliefs is that hiding is what everyone wants to do where as most survivors want to engage with the killer so that's why most players rate premonition as a bad perk.
Honestly stealth play is viable and it's a good perk for that play style but that style is a minority in the dbd community and that's why the perk isn't rated highly by the majority.

My first question is "What does map knowledge have to do with Killer behavior"?
You're told you have 3 entrances. One leads to the center, the other 2 lead to the edges.
Spine chill flares up, and I hide away rom the center... Then get hit from behind, because he came down the hall from the left.... That I was in clear view of.
I dunno, I still find much more usage out of Premonition. Cooldown or not, and I need to make this clear, the information it gives you is enough to avoid the chase altogether.
I mean a good killer knows how to approach certain tiles/buildings effectively and know how to zone survivors to bad areas so being aware of the map and knowing where those areas are can help you avoid them. It might be because I don't hide I'm a runner that I know if I'm running towards killer or not cause terror radius is louder etc. And with map awareness part of it is knowing if the killer is coming you should already have a safe place you know you can reach in time regardless of where they are approaching.
I won't deny, if you do prefer the stealthy play style then premonition may be better for you I can agree with that, maybe running both even could be better. But my view is that I don't like to do that and that's why premonition will never be a good perk to me personally. I'd much rather know that a killer is definitely coming for me than that they may be coming for me from the left.
Also forgot to ask does premonition work for spirit phase, and all the undetectable stealth killers like spine chill does?
-
@latinfla4 said:
To win necessarily?
On killer I feel I need at least one gen regression perk regardless of the build.
As survivor I feel I need to use an exhaustion perk regardless of the build
For Killer I feel I need to have Corrupt on to win, just gives me a easier time early match to get that first hook.
As Survivor I don't feel the need to use certain perks to 'win' but Spine Chill definitely makes the game less stressful haha. The game is more exciting without it for sure but I tend to notice a decline in escapes when I don't use it.
-
@Toxicboii said:
I'm seeing that a lot of people tier Premonition as trash-tier.
But I don't quite see the issue. Is there something about premonition that just doesn't tick the right boxes? I'd say knowing the general direction the killer is coming from is fairly effective in obtaining information.
It's helped saved me from hiding the killer more times than not rather than with Spine Chill that just made me look around, not knowing which direction a killer is coming from, hide, then get hit because I chose a wrong spot to hide.
And no, don't start saying that I just 'don't know how to use Spine Chill', I'm not exactly a mind reader, so I can't identify EXACTLY where a killer is just by knowing that they're looking at me.
I don't hate it, but however it just is a shadow compared to Spine Chills shining glory. I feel that when you learn the maps quite well you can already read which way the killers approaching with spine chill, on top of that you also know if they are actually coming or if they just glanced over you accidentally. And then even more you get speed bonuses on top of that when it is active which does come in handy for last sec repair/heals/exit gate openings.
BUT WAIT THERES MORE
On top of that there's no cool down it will always work so you have constant knowledge of if the killer is coming after you.
So I mean if you were to choose between the two you should always go Spine Chill it just offers way more benefits in the end.

They’ve had years to make her more balanced and fun, and have done next to nothing. I’m tired of loading into a match, only to go against someone who has 10 hours in the game, because they’re playing a killer that takes zero skill. It’s just easy mode, which should not be in a competitive game.
Let us have fun please, instead of forcing us to go against this garbage!
If they only have 10 hours you still probably shouldn't be struggling that bad against them. She isn't as oppressive as people believe just got to alter your play style in those matches which is what makes dbd good, you can't play against every killer the same way.
-
I think it's better, the survivors images with there names next to them is handy, and being in the top left I'm more likely to notice someone becoming injured than looking down low. I have no need really to check my perk or item so it makes it easier for me.
I do think that they need to either give players the options to customize it more or at the very least choose between old or new HUD.

Yeah the old version was more compact. I just don't find it cluttering to me now I find it so much better I don't have to look at the bottom of my screen anymore, and I play with the lowest scale of the HUD so its barely noticeable on my screen maybe that's why I don't have an issue with the change

no, they just wont believe the UI is bad until they get screamed at by the console players aswell.
because "they had no PTB to test it out" - which is true, but honestly, you dont need to play a PTB to be able to tell a graphical update is going to suck.
you can always just watch others play it / look at the shared screenshots.
What's wrong with the new HUD specifically to you? I'm really interested
-
@Phasmamain said:
Well the new hud is pretty bad. While I like the portraits and hook counters everything else is terrible.
Gen icon is too small and in an awkward position that makes me have to focus out of chase to see it
Potraits are too close to the top. They should be in the bottom since it’s easier to glance at them there
overall it’s just too spread out and makes my eyes hurt when I have to switch my gaze so often
Sincerely from our console player base we didn’t want this either
It may just be me but I think it's better now way less congested. It is spread out more yes but honestly you shouldn't really have to look at what item you brought in or what perks you have (exception for checking if a cool down for a perk has ended) so more often than not you should be looking more towards the upper part of your screen anyway. Haven't tested killers yet but I feel there side may be more affected as they need to look down more to find scratchmarks but will see how much that is an issue.

@RayrafLPP said:
Hey guys,
I wanted to talk about your off meta builds as a survivor.
Im a killer main, but I do fine as survivor too whenever the mood kicks in for me to wait 10 minutes for a game.
So as a killer I only see two types of survivors in 95% of my games.
- mismatched rank 10-20 that dont have a build yet and just play some random perks the character theyre playing has.
- Meta Perk variations. Most Time its the DS/unbreakable + dead hard + BT with variating other perks like spine chill, self care, iron will, deliverance and Adrenaline. Also Other exhaustion perks are seen fairly often except for balanced landing. But thats about it the most time.
So When I play survivor I dont really need this, because im past the rank 10-20 super tunneling/camping killers and after that it does not happen that often (at least not to myself)
So I dont see the need for DS unbreakable and BT. Killers move on after a hook and i jus wait 10 seconds to unhook, and in a rare scenario I get tunneled its just bad luck, next game wont be that hard.
But onto topic:
My favorite build is Lithe, Dance with me, quick and Quiet + inner strength. Sometimes I get off inner strength. I guess Iron will would be better, but i dont want to take a medkit every time.
So i can loop the killer and if I win a mindgame in a jungle gym i can go out with lithe without the killer knowing and usually killers go somewhere else if they realise that i got a 25m headstart.
Another build i like to run is
Empathy (which works like OoO imo but whatever) The one that makes 100% healing speed after unhooking someone for 90 seconds. Small game and inner strength. So im a healer/ totem cleanser. And it works really well too. even in red ranks.
So as im doing just fine, how about you guys? what are youre off meta builds? And if you want explain the strategy behind too :)
My go too at the moment is:
Deception/ Diversion/ InnerStrength/ Head On. It's not an effective build but it's funny when the killer gets confused for a second as to why I'm not in that locker.
Before that it was:
Unbreakable/ Tenacity/ Flip Flop/ Power Struggle.
Very situational but still fun to try and use.
Also just quickly how is empathy the same as OoO in your eyes?
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
This isn't a valid concern. If you really don't want to be tunneled, don't start objectives or healing yourself until you know you're in the clear. Situational awareness is a skill and I don't think DS should be used as a crutch for people who don't have that skill.
What you mean I stated that you run off thinking you are clear go to start healing and then you hear the heartbeat cause the killers come back and now you aren't healed/lost DS. This is why I'm curious whether it's when you fully heal or does it affect others healing you cause they are the only perceived issues I see with the change.
-
@Monarch said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/224332/new-ds-talk
So basically you don't want the perk to change at all, 59 sec DS still a thing, actual anti tunnel still a thing, being invincible for a minute while progressing the game, worse, but still a thing.
No I do want it to change? What part of my post says anything about it staying the same?
-
@ausanimal said:
Pretty much what Rocket said we need more info on the healing part off it as that is the only real part that needs to be cleared up, is it soon as you start or once your fully healed apart from that it looks good it will do what it needs to do be a anti tunnel perk.
Yeah I agree hopefully they go into more detail in regards to it sooner than later. Also I'd like to know if totem cleansing is when it begins or after cleansing
-
@DjangoTheGhostface said:
I run DS every game. Im not camped or tunneled the vast majority of games. Making DS a real Anti tunnel perk would be like how they make killer perks. Mad grit for example is made only to counter body blockers that you don't know will be in the game until after it starts. So like most perks, no one uses it.
That is terrible game design and shouldn't be the mentality that they bring over to also designing survivor perks. DS is a second chance, for 60 seconds the killer can't really do #########, this "nerf" just takes away some of that power by not allowing you to be productive and invincible. Sadly with what we have now i think its probably going to be worth tunneling even more. Because thats how you counter DS, you get rid of it early. Now that survivors will be forced to save it though they will find themselves invincible even more often. 1 minute, you get unhooked and the gate is open you do the math
Yeah that's a valid point survivors who would continue to use DS will more likely be forced to use it in endgame than during the match as there isn't much to do besides run for the exit. I wonder how much it would affect the escape rate given it would turn more into a late game perk than an early game perk.
-
@RocketPenguin said:
It wasnt really clarified but i think by "healing" it means your healing others and maybe selfcare. I don't think it includes others healing you or at least it shouldn't.
idk i feel like outside the terror radius would be bad because the whole point is that if your progressing the game your not being tunneled so it deactivates.
Yeah my hope is that it doesn't affect others healing you but guess we can just wait and see. Yeah the terror radius was a reach by me it just popped in my head so thought to write it.
-
Personally I don't want killers to take it easy just cause someone DC's straight away.
But honestly anything you do there will always be people who will be salty about it so you just do whatever you feel is right in the certain match.

Not on PS4.
Ive been getting HUGE bp
You're lucky I'm on PS4 also but haven't been getting any bonus bloodpoints no matter how many ghateus get used
-
You should always activate your stealth immediately, wether your in a chase or looking for survivors it's beneficial. Don't always go for the stalk you should really stalk for two situations.
1. The Survivor is unaware
2. You see multiple survivors (This way you can chase one and leave the rest with some stored stalk so next time you see them it's quicker to get them exposed.
For Perks I'd say definitely run Corrupt Intervention and Nurses Calling, the other two are more preference of the player, so say you struggle with protecting gens you'd use PGTW and Ruin. Or if you struggle with chases use Brutal Strength and Bamboozle.
So to sum up don't stress on always stalking, but try to be in stealth mode as much as possible.
-
Yeah I'm the opposite I like playing them cause I watch the replays and enjoy hearing them complain about being sacrificed and that I'm garbage
-
Nah I'm a lazy sloth. I'm glad you are enjoying the game again though hope to sacrifice you soon.

This doesn't really prove anything you need to start at rank 20 on both systems and record how many matches you took to get there.
