  • When you hide your tombstone piece all game and the last survivor thinks he's having a hatch standoff.
    5...4...3...2...1...
(Moris the last guy on the hatch)
  • Word, you shouldnt be rewarded by camping if you did. There's times to protect, but there's times you're just being a troll. Survivors who don't do much and survive and killers who don't do much and kill shouldn't be heavily rewarded

Reworked. His current design is stupid, and his lullaby is still broken to this day. Invisible killer? [BAD WORD] genius. You can't reliably stealth against him, and one meta perk can screw him over a lot with RNG, which is another problem: RNG can also completely lock survivors out of dealing with him. I've spent over a minute on a generator trying to get a skill check before, and other times had one instantly. There's no consistency anywhere in his power in that regard. So, he definitely needs a rework.

Lol are you high rank in dbd? These are only issues for low ranks. Literally no survivor I saw after maybe rank 14 had these complaints since freddy can chase only one person at a time, the others have chances to wake up, with gens and everyone running self care, waking up isn't an issue. I main survivor and Freddy/clown. Also, plenty stealth against freddy, takes map awareness.
  • How long was the match, how many hits did you do, did you hook them each 3 times? Etc
  • What happened during the 4k lol
  • It's not about the chases being longer, helps to get 6 hits on each survivor at least
  • Idk how Billy and nurse are op, survivors are supposed to feel threatened. Most killers don't do it for me, only clown and nurse because they stop loops and can stop a circut when played right. Doc and huntress overrated in terms of loop stopping because the doc will not stop a loop against a good survivor who knows he slows down in treatment mode and when his couple of seconds is up so he can vault or pallet. Huntress is nice but only because some survivors run to the window or pallet out of reflex, smart survivors know the 5 Ds of dodgeball and just won't get hit by those hatchets that she secures many hits. Clown and nurse can choose preemptively and independently without the survivor choosing a path, a way to block them during a chase. All killers deserve maybe some power or add on that allows them to be proactive. Also #buffsweaterboy

Survivor main. Ruin is fine honestly. Either bring a toolbox, use certain perks to do skill checks/find totems, or just get good at great skill checks. Most games Ruin is gone after the first chase, it's mostly there to give the killer a chance to start up pressure on the survivors. Others I just plow through and get my 2 gens so I can hatch at least.

NOED though is IMO a clutch perk. So many bad killers use it and end up getting way more kills than they rightfully deserve. And I mean just really bad killers, ones that can't catch you even when you don't loop or never kick gens or break pallets. Those killers always have a NOED and it always makes up for their lack of skill. I get games can go fast and it can be used as an ace in the hole, but good killers make better with other perks so the only ones that use it are the bad killers. If you want something for endgame that's not a crutch pick Remember Me. It's way more effective and actually takes some skill in that you have to find and hunt down your obsession. It also rewards you greatly for going after the DS guy, so now there's value in chasing them and not leaving them until the end of the game because DS.

And to be clear, DS and NOED are both equally crutchy perks for either side. Both give you a freebie for basically being bad at the game.

Survivors have tons of crutch perks outside of Decisive Strike. Self-Care and Sprint Burst both completely change the way the game is played and Adrenaline is the survivor equivalent of NOED.

Self-Care, while I don’t use it is just a perk everybody is going to use. Almost every killer at high rank uses BBQ, same with survivors and self-care. It isn’t a CRUTCH perk and neither is Sprint Burst. Adrenaline is not the survivor equivalent of NOED. How is it? NOED is an insta down for the REST of the game and Adrenaline is a 3-5 second sprint burst while recovering a health state, they have nothing in common.
Noed can be negated entirely. Also, they kind of are, get scared, sprint burst to a loop. No thinking, just a button.

The only difference is that noed can be countered

Have you tried hitting a DS with The Doctor with unnerving and the skill check is all over the screen and violently shaking? Almost impossible. While it can’t be countered it can be SEVERELY punished. Not to mention, juggling is a thing.

I have actually. They still hit their DS.

Who hits DS? It’s very difficult to hit DS with the Doctor. Sometimes it is even hard with the Trapper who usually has unnerving. I’ve gotten better at the DS skill checks which in turn have made it easier for the overcharge skill checks. It’s just the Doctor is really difficult to nail even the regular generator skill checks due to the screen shaking, especially if the skill check bar is in the four o’ clock position. Not impossible to hit but it is unlikely unless you’re really used to playing against the Doctor.
Two killers who aren't the best or mid tier probably in the current meta. Most pro players hit their d strike. All of the killers perks are counterable, even noed, nurses, bbq. Bbq can be played really hard against the killer with mind games especially if killer isn't nurse or billy. The survivors perks? Survivors have control over the activation and effectiveness of their perks and the killer's perks, more than the killer having control over maximizing the effectiveness of their own perks.
  • I'm a survivor main, Billy is not op.
  • Great step, sleepy lol
  • No stun just isn't fair. Keep her where she's at
  • All killers are supposed to be powerful, billy and nurse are noteable for the pressure they have. Nurse was already nerfed, survivors who can't do to them what they do to most killers complain. All killers should make you fear, this is a horror game. My fellow survivors forget that. #buffsweaterboy #ultrararesforall
  • Put down gas and run enduring with flask of bleach, juggle, or just eat the strike.
  • Noed (no one escapes shrek) brings back the fear of our ogrelord and savior. Escort them out of your swamp with a ride on the entity train. The survivors gotta learn about the rules of the swamp, cause the fight is never ogre to keep these creatures out.
  • They should add a second button ao you can aarp straight, up, or down when applicable
  • Noed clown is a demon with bleach bottle, I tell you that much. Don't loop the clown, run from the clown like you would in an actual horror movie, an actual path. Map awareness will help you out.
  • I did it once, but random wasn't smart and led killer to me
  • Wish you the best, I do my best to be the same but when peeps teabag freddy with full remember me stacks, noed and he made sure all pallets are gone and everyone is falling asleep, there will be blood.
  • Don't respect the 4% to get teabagged. Dribble because d strike is powerful, no need to tunnel but if you catch the person and no one else is around you better get em lol.
  • For each prestige level I think you have a slightly better chance to get better blood webs and you get a bloody weapon, face, then clothes.
  • The game tells you before you prestige just to confirm.

I like to run Agitation, Iron Grasp, Thanatophobia and Monitor and Abuse. Agitation and Iron Grasp to get them to the basement, Thanatophobia to give incentive for other survivors to save the basement hooked survivors, and Monitor and Abuse so I can lightly patrol around the basement without having the heartbeat give me away. The strategy for me is hook someone in the basement, patrol around until I see scratch marks and then trap them in. If I'm lucky then it snowballs from there.

I think you left out your rank 20 status.

    I'm rank 4, #########.

At least you didn't bring up the meme insidious build. Also, survivors at high rank got worse, so easy to pip now peeps who suck at chases are in my lobbies. You can run enduring and force major pallets to be used, towards end of game 2 gens left start slugging. He still eats pallets, but by pushing a survivor to use all he can cause survivors do fall for this, there's less pallets to stop your massive aoe chainsaw. So have fun and wave that chainsaw with deer stalker+knockout and kill all four peeps. Enduring also helps you catch up if you get dstriked while trynna hook your slugged peeps.

The hit stops the progress, but they can usually redo another attempt and get them lose before your cooldown is done. You likely just didn't notice they restarted the attempt.

if you want to stop the attempt cold, you need to be going for a grab like others have explained. Getting a wounding on the guy doing the rescue is never a bad thing though. Rotating people on the hook is an acceptable outcome in most cases.

dunno. ive been hitting plenty guys unhooking and the guy still ended up going down. maybe it was after the bar was done and the animation of them carrying them down just wasnt over i dont know. it would appear that the bar is shorter than the animation

The bar is short, also because it's peed to peer killer can be behind the survivor or vice versa. Official servers would be nice lol. For example, if a survivor on their screen is across the pallet and they don't have both feet on the floor even if they are out of your reach, on your screen they are still sliding across so you can hit them. Certain things like this. Also the multiple animations. Let the survivors share the hook, free hook for you, go after the savior in case the dude has borrowed time to give to the rescued survivor.
  • Oh ok, try some kyf games. Learn from that you know? And build up your inventory or perks and add ons
  • Actions make him cough, if you're breaking pallets they know you're there anyway cause you broke a pallet, and your so fat and have a terror radius so can't stealth windows lol. The coughing makes him unique and goes with his character.
  • My point is they make noise in general and are both ranged killers. Remove or not to remove I don't care. You can't stealth as the clown anyway unless you're against noobs. Unless you're inching with insidious for some reason. Stealth was not in mind with this guy or his design. You can stealth with myers, hag, etc, but not the clown lol.if it's a bug, get it fixed. If it is or isn't, doesn't matter. Just saying the stealth game is gonna be really hard againt anyone who kinda knows how to play the game cough sounds or not.
  • I'm sure there is a thread somewhere, but I don't know where it is. So I'm just going to put my two cents here.

My concern with the exhaustion changes is that sure the chase is probably going on too long if the survivor has gotten their exhaustion perk back twice in a chase. However, ultimately it's the killer who's initiating the chase 9/10 times. If the survivor can run them around that long, shouldn't it be on the killer to stop chasing that person until they're in a less desirable location and/or go protect gens?

If killers want to respect pallets and not break them, that can eat a lot of valuable time as good survivors will run around that pallet until Bloodlust 9000 eventually gets them or they get their exhaustion perk back or the killer decides to cave and break the pallet. Like you want us to break the chase and hide, but we can't really do that unless they get stunned/break the pallet as there's usually not enough time to put enough distance between you and the killer.

I also don't necessarily think it's fair to punish every exhaustion perk for one perk being a huge problem. If you ride someone's butt who has dead hard they will use it eventually and then you can hit them (if it doesn't already hit them because Dead Hard isn't the most consistent perk). Balanced Landing is 90% map dependent and can easily be avoid by forcing survivors to go to an area that doesn't have a drop down. Lithe can be awkward with what is considered a chase and again if there are not any immediately accessible vaults survivors won't get it. And then adrenaline needs to have all the gens be done. All of these other exhaustion perks have lots of counter play options to them. Sprint Burst does not. But because of the one bad perk, all others are being punished. That does not seem fair.

Ultimately I just do not think it's a wise choice to nerf survivors because of the complaints of killers who make poor choices during a chase. I also think survivors should be rewarded for being able to run the killer around for a long time as it's not that easy.

On certain maps it is hella easy with that sprint burst actually as few killers have powers that helps with loops. They did say they will adjust possibly for other perks so that is already on the table. To have a second dead hard could bad too, and I run dead hard. The second pretty much gurantees a loop for 4-5 gens. Because survivors can run multiple perks/items certain things aren't so balanced. Sprint burst and bnp had counter parts of moris and noed at original release, two got nerfed two didnt

I watched all of it, that argument don't work. What Tru is implying is that, on that groaning storehouse spot, that spot is extremely loopable and will waste alot of killer's time. it is more or less similar to an infinite. Back then survivors mains tells people not to chase someone in an infinite and focus on other survivors

It is loopable, which is why he kept saying "why do you keep chasing me here?" Because True is aware that the best thing he could do once he started to loop was go find someone else. At least stop after he was in Madness 3, because then he could leave him know True would have to spend time to snap out. It's the killer's mistake for following him there and then chasing him for as long as he did.

One thing I personally find very effect as killer is to just slug random people. It forces others off gens to help them, and as it is not a hook they more often take the bait. Then I will chase/down that person, hook them and notice another person healing this guy up. Okay that's 3 not doing gens. You can't apply pressure by chasing 1 person all game. That was a ######### killer making ######### choices. No other way around it.

PS. Does that mean the loops should stay? No they should be fixed, what it means is that killers need to own up to their mistakes.

Word, spread the love, smack someone while someone else is down, keep survivors busy. If you are predictable, they will gen rush and save when and if they can.

You can win without camping absolutely, no matter what killer you use. Step da game up. Plenty do it, practice a kyf match a bit then. All killers should be treated differently, if you need ruin or noed then use it, don't need to camp to win.

I personally Disagree. I can play Trapper at rank one pretty well as well as Clown and Pig. When good survivors are playing against these mid tier killers they simply get genrushed to the point at which you need to camp/tunnel to win. It's just the way of the game when the gens are popping at the speed of light.

Thats on your skill and loadout. I never said don't tunnel, I said you don't need to camp to win. Camping is a strategy, but if you cannot win unless you camp, then that's on you. Rank 1 killer and survivor, I know the game ends quick since I really don't run ruin and I still don't camp and get wins. It's up to killer and loadout. Trapper is weak before the buff coming. I know many players that win without camping or tunneling as well, it is all relative to the player.
  • I guess, but i see it balanced, as he has a ranged ability like the huntress. Stealth on a huge fat man? Good luck with that.

Clown is fine the way he is.

People who are saying he is OP and needs a nerf don't know how to counter him

Steath is his counter, which is FOR SOME DUMB REASON catching nerfs left and right. Aura perks, absolutely terrible crouching animations for THE ENTIRE MALE cast, afraid to add black or ending in clothing to ANYONE, just because of Claudette. Solo survivor got outright nerfed

Not only Stealth. Dynamic juking is his counter. The way is to manage to get to one juking spot to another to force him to waste his bottles, without circling at the same exact one.
A lot of good survivors can manage to do it efficiently.

Stealth nerf? So the aura reading for perks getting buffed to give info for solo players, and perk rework for stealth perks like lightweight and introduction of dance with me. Are devs really abondoning stealth? Seeing how most killers aren't anti stealth, I don't see stealth as an issue
I was adding on to you @Runiver
  • Why didn't I think of this
  • Also, play with headphones, loud volume. Learn how to scout survivor perks.
  • Trapper after mid patch too seems good. Swf takes the fear out. Clown is good too, nurse, it takes time to learn how survivors work that has been playing for a while.
  • What's the add ons for that build? I wouldn't run distressing or coulro because of the sleep penalty anyway and nurses for vision. If you run green and blue dress together maybe I'd run them both. Never thought about using those perks on him, I might try out.

  • The unhooking does stop upon being hit, so I dont get what you mean? If the progress bar for unhook is full, it is completed. Hit them before bar is full
  • Damn wrote created twice lol
  • The doc isn't great, and was only free for console along with hag who isn't free on pc. Doc is annoying but pros can loop him till daylight cause they know how his power works. Freddy came out with an extremely high dc rate, so devs freaked out and nerfed him week 1 when he needed buffs. The lack of a sleep indicator created created frustration which added to the new concept.

  • Like the huntress I guess. He doesn't do it too much to the point it hinders him. Get used to it. They have ranged attacks, run monitor and abuse and snipe if coughing concerns you.
  • He's not supposed to be sneaking anyway, I don't get the cough after every vault myself. It helps balance the clown I guess since he already stops loops, i dont see the big deal
  • The cool down from a hit will let someone unhook after recieving a hit
