When you play killers. You'll see adapting to dstrike is difficult. As I said, you can counter bbq, you keep saying bbq without understanding that even on the dev stream they said it is used qgainst the killer and can be used against them. Only newer players do not understand this. They can bait a killer to lose time with bbq and chilli since the range is 40 meters which is a good distance. It's up to the survivors to realize how the killers perks work and counter them. Even noed can be hard countered and can be nullified before it comes into play. Nurses, common sense don't heal in terror radius. Whispers? Can urban evasion out of that. Deerstalker? Pick yourself up to max before crawling. Crutch perks are perks that gurantees. Killers and survivor are different. An aura reading for a survivor is more powerful than an aura read for killer (I'm a survivor main saying this) killers aura reading abilities all have counter play and they do not guarantee a find or chase and can be used against them to waste time. Bbq doesnt come in clutch like sprint burst or d strike, killer has no counterplay against them. Sprint burst is sprint burst, but the time loss and effort put in just to get dstriked is really not in the killers favor. Survivors are way stronger than most killers. Few realize this as many run meta perks and don't actually think about counterplay. You can dribble for d strike, but if another survivor body blocks or you dont time the dribble right it gets off. Enduring helps with the stun but you still take the L. Games end without ruin average 8-10 minutes. If chasing any survivor takes 1-2 minutes on average, not counting finding them which is at least a minute, then the d strike and chase which is at least 20 seconds, then ten seconds for pick up and hook, that's a lot done. Now let's look and bbq and chilli, you see people ten seconds away who if they are smart will play as though the killers all have bbq and chilli (even not queen said this, meta perks, for killers or survivors expect the meta) and you must waste time. It helps but isn't crutch. Crutch helps you gain time, not crutch doesn't gain time. Ruin is core, high level play ends game in 6 minutes and lower, 2 minute chase? Do the math for grnsMegMain98 said:
Fair statement. It is honestly about the ability to adapt regardless of what the opposing side bring whether it is DS or NOED.ShesArebel88 said:I see DS for survivors the same way I see any "Insta down" ability/ addon/ perk for the killer. As killer, it guarantees a down but does not promise a kill... DS guarantees a drop if the skillcheck is hit but doesn't promise an escape.
Its what the opposing side makes of the situation after these are implemented that says something about their skills. For me, what defines a skilled player is their adapabilty and ability to have the match end in their favor regardless of what the other side brings to the game. I play both sides tho so before I complain I look at and compare what both sides have and base my opinion on that before seeing it as a valid complaint or just a salty one

I think he's new, or just never played killer lol. These perks don't truly benefit killers that isn't nurse billy for bbq and low terror radius like hag or myers. These perks do not guarantee anything, dstrike and sprint burst gurantees results. Bbq doesn't. The megmain guy might just be trolling, no player can just not think about the perks and be so blind and think op unless they are new.ItsDaEmuDood said:@MegMain98 said:
Killer mains are SALTY over decisive strike. It is a crutch perk but so is BBQ and Chill, brutal strength, and nurses calling...not to mention all of the aura reading add-ons that could be called a crutch on the killers side. There are both crutch survivor perks (DS, sprint burst, self care) and crutch killer perks. If it works then why ######### about it? If the player using DS acts toxic, don’t assume everybody who runs DS is a toxic player.First of all, the reason us Killers use BBQ and Nurse's is because we're going to find Survivors anyway, and it just gives a head start on the hunt. Besides, it's REWARDING US for DOING OUR JOB. You have to earn that hook to get the reveal and stackable Bloodpoint bonus of BBQ. What does Decisive reward you for? Getting caught, most likely after a few loops. The point is, there's nothing you have to do to be able to use Decisive. It rewards the Survivor and punishes the Killer for DOING THEIR JOB. It's a crutch, a get out of jail free card. Is there a downside to using Decisive? Well, the only thing you could consider being a downside is the fact that you're injured when you gracefully hop off of the Killer's shoulder. On the other hand, Nurse's is used to punish Survivors for healing within the Killer's Terror Radius, and if Wraith is invisible, or Pig is crouching, then it punishes you for healing in a generally unsafe spot, or is used to catch Survivors off guard, which IS THE POINT behind abilities that remove the Terror Radius of a Killer. To catch Survivors off guard. which is a different type of playstyle. What does Decisive do? Give you a free get out of jail card, and you get to keep running. The only real way to counter Decisive is with Enduring, but even then, depending on where you're at, you might still have to go through a loop or two. And how the actual hell is Brutal a crutch? You damage pallets, and now generators, 20% faster. Where's the problem for Survivors in that? Oh, what's that? You get around... 3/4 less of a second to run from the Killer? Damn, what a trash Killer, using a crutch. They should nerf it ASAP. Hell to the no. Breaking pallets 20% faster is only a small buff for Killers, because in the end, breaking a pallet is a 2 second barrier between the Survivor and the Killer, and breaking pallets should be a fast-paced choice, where you weigh out the consequences and benefits of choosing to do it. Brutal Strength relieves some of the pain of choosing to break a pallet. Simple as that. So now, let's review:
Point 1 - BBQ is not a crutch. You have to perform a key action to be rewarded with extra currency and the location of your targets. Half of the benefits of the perk are not even involved during the trial.
Point 2 - A Nurse's Calling is used to catch and punish Survivors for healing within your Terror Radius, and if you're playing stealth by having no Terror Radius, you're merely using a different playstyle.
Point 3 - Brutal Strength is not a crutch and is not as popular of a meta perk as BBQ and Nurse's, and even Make Your Choice. It relieves some of the pain when breaking pallets and generators. Simple as that. Nothing game-breaking or overpowered.
No point in calling these perks crutch as they lead to things that are going to happen eventually in a trial, and you actually have to DO SOMETHING to get rewarded. Decisive requires the Killer to do their job, and get PUNISHED for it. So, if you keep looping, it's just making it harder for the Killer when they actually do catch you.

Had to repost that, nursee and bbq crutch? You rarely play killer enough to know time is not on the killer's side in anygame unless they have ruin and dying light active super early for some reason. I'm a survivor main, bbq and nurses can be countered easily with map awareness, a killer cant counter dstrike, only the clown with gas/enduring. Many people use bbq to lose the killer and waste the killer's time. Only nurse n billy uses it to great effect.Dabrownman1812 said:MegMain98 said:

You made my day. Play killer, biased survivor, make it to the high ranks, and you will be there asking for forgiveness.
I don’t LIKE playing killer. Never been good at it. Not because of the so called “crutch perks” that survivors use, just because I’m never good at killing. Wasn’t great at Jason on F13, not the greatest on DBD. Why play killer when I’m better at survivor? Doesn’t make sense. -

Don't forget to go to the killer page and read their bio and powers to get a little familiar. If freddy finds you after he finds someone else that isn't right next to you he might have the add on classphoto. It allows freddy to see all other survivors while someone is in the dream transition.

But the same argument about crutch against killers running insidious while camping.

Nerf, but not a bad nerf? Nerf means to make things not so good. Also peer to peer connection, sometimes it seems to a player the obstruction was in the aoe but to the killer it wasn't.

Shouldn't it be more like 25% since there are 4 survivors? No, it’s based per individual. It SHOULD be 50%, meaning killer gets 2 kills. Right now it basically means you go against solo, you get a free 3 probably 4k
Most of my games as solo survivor, the killer gets 1 or 2 kills. I'm probably part of that 30%.
POWER!!!
I still gotta see if these stats are true, and if so which killers. If it's just nurse and billy these stats aren't relevant across the board as many killers fall really short.
It's unrealistic to expect all killers to be on the same power level; idk about the stats but i will be shocked if nurse and billy are not the top ones on the charts.
But that doesn't change anything because guess what, 90% of killers you will face ranks 1-10 will be nurse and billy. How can you even beat two killers who can go across the map in 1-2 seconds ? ^^
1-2 seconds are like 10 meters. Those maps sure are small...
Yup, now you got it !
For billy and nurse, all maps are small.Thank god those maps are all flat surfaces without any obstacles or walls or anything they could bump into...
Lol this guy. That's my thing though, nurse and billy doing well isn't all killers doing well. Nurse and billy getting a 4k isnt the same as killers in general getting a 4k.
Of course not. Every killer should be balanced to be on the same lvl as Billy is.
Billy is the only balanced killer right now. Nurse needs to much time and effort to master and also gives motion sickness. While Billy is right at the perfect spot of time and effort vs results. -

Hell yeah man, it's pretty dope

50% is ok, not good or great. It should be 50/50 for average, not everything in the game is supposed to be 50/50. I'll check stats
-
It's beyond your camera at times and shows aura after it
-
I'll take a look! Thanks man
-
The only thing I see with that rate is when they checked to see the escape rate for the new map guy.
-
Looking for the data, also once again, if it is just the two killers, it shows the two killers are strong with myc, not killers in general, whenever you do information you break down everything. The killers used and escape rate with them. When I find the info I'll critique it but I'm watching the howling stream to check it out.
-
The only thing being that high around that time was the escape rate from the new map that came with the saw chapter, not games total.
-
Link to the stream? Also depends on killer, make your choice was introduced which buffed the two top tier killers nurse and billy. So the 30% is skewed as that wouldn't be the information for all killers in general, just for the few played during the event or around the event to secure points.
-
Also, not all solo players are equal, some main games in swf but had no partner, others play well in solo. If you do the math as I said, most high skill players can without ruin, run a killer for at least two gens. Time wise, the survivors currently have the upperhand in terms of getting the objectives done. Is that not true for mid to high level play?
-
30%? What rank and what's the date of the info. Also what was the killers?
-
35-40 then, I'll give you that. Survivors also didn't have the tools they had today to escape, there were 12 unique perks back thenJack11803 said:Do you think brutal strength being 50% would be fair or balanced in any way shape or form?

For well versed survivors this isnt an issue, pallet looping, juking, and gyms. Using just pallets and leaving none for end game is the players faultItsDaEmuDood said:@ItsDaEmuDood said:
Brutal Strength. 15%/20%/25% or 10%/20%/30%. I don't think it should have anything to do with generators if the speed was buffed to 25% or 30%. It's a great overall perk, and works better on Clown, Huntress, and maybe Hag? Pop Goes The Weasel and patrolling in general are great ways to stop progress, unless you're up against like the Depip Squad or something. The reason it's not super fast when breaking pallets is because breaking pallets is supposed to give the Survivor time to run away, and dropping them creates that barrier. If you're shredding through these barriers without a dedicated build for it, then late game pallets aren't going to exist, and if you continue pursuing, it's going to get easier and easier. Scrap the generator part, and buff it to 25% or 30%. That simple. Not to mention, this also stacks with Fire Up and Myers action speed bonuses per tier up, if you're willing to pick either or stack both. At that point though, it'd just be a meme build.
-
Solo survivors being op is an issue still, why? Cause it just multiplies swf strength. If you look at killers, why do some camp? Because the meta as it is is stacked against them or they're just being noob meme campers.
-
Even with camping, the other survivors can do gens and leave, best case against competent survivors, 2 die 2 leave, worst case for killers 3 leave.
-
I derped on killers, my bad lol
-
How does it? And survivors are a team, if they choose to be. In any asymmetrical game that's how it is. It is not mandatory to be a team player, but you could be. Hence the difference classes and how you can specialize. Also you don't understand, these perks are so powerful, if they don't nerf them to phase them out, then they have to be replaced by even more op perks. Time and meta has not been kind to killers. 4 minutes to do gens and leave without ruin! 8 or less for medium skilled players, 1-2 minutes for a chase with any competent survivor especially if killer isnt clown or nurse. When you look at the math from the killerd killers perspective. It is stacked heavily against them when it should be the 4 weak against the one strong.
-
If you compare the time it takes to catch survivors, you'll see 50% wouldn't make it busted. Have you played killer a lot at all or nah? You wouldn't get it if you haven't played killer to a medium-high level. Pre emblem especially.
-
I already answered the solo thing, team work is the way the game was meant to play, run empathy for the save. People now need to to have a build for a save. Nothing wrong with having a build for a role. Game will never balanced until survivors cannot do it all with the same build to run killers for two gens and flashlight save. Game is supposed to be asymmetrical, challenging for the solo players. But with the current meta and flashlight timing it just isn't challenging. Too easy for survivors to do certain things. Making it so people go in with roles will make the game fun, now all survivors run the same thing. I'm a consistent rank one without sprint burst, selfcare, d strike, flashlight, and get many saves. These items and perks aren't needed. If they are a need for some peeps, they rely on them and not skill. This is another step into filing survivors into different classes, which is good.
-
Even without open handed, alert is still good.
-
C tier feng with lithe? Bump up, good survivors know when to head to a zone this can activate before a chase or use a pallet for time to get to a lithe zone. Also, alert with open handed is overlooked and kind of broken, go around gen tapping and the killer will kick gens constantly giving you alert and wasting their time as they look around that gen for survivors.
-
Are you a new player? Your conversation shows you just don't want to change your perk set up because it is comfortable for you. All exhaustion perks are strong (from a consistent rank one definitely before emblem survivor). Map offerings gives you ideal maps, all maps have a drop so smart survivors will stick to where their perk can activate. Dead hard is unique and not about escaping a chase. Survivors use these perks to extend a chase, not to escape. Game ends in 8 minutes or less for average competent players. Pro level? 4 minutes or less. If a survivor buys time for 2 gens, then d strikes that's more than half objectives gone. Any competent survivor can buy enough time so that most killers catch them by the time one gen is done. Three hooks at that case equals three gens, not counting ruin or time it takes to go to another survivor to start a chase. Dead hard also allows a survivor to go over a trapper's trap and put the pallet down on the other side. Time is not on the killers side and I'm a survivor saying this. Survivors are overpowered compared to killers. And we have to remember there is swf who normally use coms which the game literally was for randoms with no voice communication gives them an edge and can kill the stealth of stealth killers and can extend the search time for survivors since they can receive a verbal warning.
-
Funny to see some survivors complain about saves without looking deeper, swf coms keeps someone in flashlight position anyway, and run empathy to help get in position. Most of ya'll run sprint burst and selfcare, sure you got the empathy teachable. God forbid peeps have to be strategic and build a kit for a role instead of having an answer to everything just because lol
-
Some games can end in 4 minutes or less in high level play, it is crazy. Some still run 6 and under with ruin. Game isn't challenging to me as a survivor.
-
Relearning isn't bad, survivors are more powerful than killers in general, swf flashlights are cancer since there is coms. Swf and coms gives survivors an edge more so than that in which they need to combat killers. Survivors can negate prettt much all killer perks as of now, and those they can't negate they can use their advantage to confuse the killer (like bbq and chilli). It means run empathy, it means changing builds maybe to be a flashlight hero. I'm a survivor main #gatorshoesfortapp and I see flashlights have a big window for use, since they still can also be used during pallet breaks and vaults. The ease for flashlight saves is pretty bad, pick up is faster but adapt, killers haven't been update since their kits have been nerfed with time. As the devs said, they are finally considering the fact that survivors can run multiple perks and items. This clearly wasn't in mind for brand new part and d strike. 20 second gen is not balanced with a mori that takes at least a minute for one chase, 5-6 seconds for a hook. Then another chase to kill. The bnps were balanced with a death after chase for a mori. Medium to high rank survivors can hold a killer for 2 gens at least, and games last 8 minutes or less without ruin. So to have to continue chasing one person after a save when time is stacked against a killer is not fair.
-

Not gonna lie, the dc rate for freddy was ridiculous.
Game start: 1 person dc when you find them, the other 2 dc , last one dc cause he's last. The meta hasn't been balanced to give the power role back to killers, wraith was op cause of the surprise hits and insta mori. The survivore learned to loop, and got urban evasion and d strike.

Bbq works in a range outside of 40 meters, walk in one direction for 4 seconds then change direction, hide within 40 meters. Done. When another survivor is injured, you should be planning your position. When a killer leaves a chase in the end game after gates are powered and the person they chased are injured to chase a healthy survivor, they have noed
-
Killers
-
Bbq is not guaranteed, sprint burst is. I'm a survivor main saying this. I lose killere by using bbq against them. D strike is a perk that needs nerfing, devs didnt consider impact of 4 of them in a game same for bnp. Sprint burst isn't crutch, but it's on the side of it due to how powerful it is. You can't be a high rank if you think bbq is a crutch. Survivor perks d strike and sprint burst have low risk high reward in terms of gameplay viability. Bbq and chilli only comes close to the risk reward rate when on a nurse/billy kit. A survivor should play assuming the killer has the meta perks and therefore almost completely counter them, assume they have nurses, bbq, noed. The only killer that isn't bothered by d strike (from an obsession) is the clown with enduring on his kit.
