No killer can grab off gens or unhook from stealth. If you cant regular attack, cant grab

If they removed the slow down of paint brush that would be great. Brush and monitor and abuse is great...if there is no slow lol.

Word, you can see them get woken up, freddy's qorld is dark so a claudy and the new dark cosmetics can be hidden well so photo is great. The tunnel obsession ######### also relies on survivors to not spawn together, not have access to a loop which is hard cause most run sprint burst. Remember me is more reliable, a late game dying light isn't as affective. Lower ranks the hardcore tunnel dying light could work. Dying light if it goes off with 2 gens and three survivors left is not really effective. Swf can also help butcher this build, awake survivors can body block obsession no penalty.Zarathos said:@thesuicidefox said:

Certain maps you can maybe end game sweep without over altruism and noed, but when the doors are far from each other, billy or not that door is getting open, and peeps are leavingIMO Freddy has more potential as gen stalling early game. Do Ruin, Thanatophobia, Dying Light with Black Box and green/pink mori, kill obs in the first 60 seconds of the game, and then you basically ensure the game will last at least another 10 minutes, which with only 3 survivors is pretty much a guaranteed 4k. DL is insanely powerful on Freddy because of Black Box, as he is literally the only killer than can go right to the obsession when the game starts. I personally find playing endgame strat with Freddy to be high risk since he has to wait 7 seconds for anything. The only way it works is if you have 6 tokens of Remember Me and everyone is asleep when the gates are powered. If someone is awake or you don't have full tokens it will prolly be GG for you. Maybe if they buffed Blood Warden to always block the exit when you hook someone after they are open, or if they extend the time to like 90s for tier 3, but right now all Freddy can rely on is Remember Me for endgame. Early game is a lot safer and IMO easier to do, it's just most costly (since you have to use both a pink add-on and a mori).
Very specific build requires a mori. It also a really cheesy strat that focus your attention on a single survivor. You better hope there not good at stealth or are not extremely good loopers with an swf team behind them because if that's the case your screwed. Also a bad habit to focus a single survivor down its a really bad to tunnel in higher ranks as they will stick heavily loopable spots like shacks and buildings. Fun as a meme build but reinforces terrible play. Tunneling is really bad as I repeatedly mentioned it makes the killer predictable. Predictability breeds weakness which survivors will exploit. People like tyde and monto have run build like these and even with moris the strat is extremely hard to execute as the survivor is made aware they are being targeted. Also class photo is way better then black box as you can continue to track your obsession throughout the match. Look up any tyde, monto video on these builds it usually gets virtually no use.

I never said it wasn't a crutch, same for mindless sprint burst and d strike and selfcare. Few killers can keep that much pressure without running ruin or noed. Ruin is crutch in a way as it buys time. The only killers that can possibly do well without either and without a gimicky set up of dying light, is billy, nurse. Clown is great, but doesn't have the movement to not use ruin.thesuicidefox said:@Dabrownman1812 said:
How often did you play as killer in high rank? Game can end in less than 8 minutes. A pro survivor can easily be chased from most killers for 3-4 minutes. Guess how many gens get done? Then the pick up time, time to go to hook, and forget about it if you get hit by a d strike without being nurse or clown. Noed isn't guaranteed like sprint burst and d strike. Sprint burst gurantees safety for a competent survivor, pro players hit d strike skill checks like it's nothing. If you understand how time is stacked heavily against killers at the moment, you would understand. I'm a survivor main saying this. In my rank, before emblems made it where more people got to rank 1, if the killer was not a nurse and chased survivors, at least two gens would get down per down often. If you do the math of all the actions and average chase time, killers are at a disadvatage. Noed peeps usually still get pallet looped unless survivors are caught in bad area. Ruin and noed helps the killer with kills and time. Billy still gets looped even with his saw, nurse can still be mindgamed. Swf also ups the difficulty since game was made not with the affects of it in mind, swf was put in later. It was supposed to be all randoms to keep the fear up and uncertainty there.I'm rank 1 survivor, was as high as rank 7 killer (currently 10 because I started to main Huntress and have not played much killer this season until I got good perks for her recently). I'm fully aware of how fast a game can go. 99% of the time when I face a GOOD killer they do not have NOED and still manage a 3k most of the time. Only when the game goes south early on do killers like that lose (eg. surv spawns by Ruin, Entity picks ######### map for killer no offering, etc.). 99% of the time when I face a BAD killer they have NOED, and you can tell they are bad because they don't catch anyone the entire game until NOED procs. That is often their first and only kill. The good killers don't need NOED, even for those games that go south they can still get legit kills if you don't keep the pressure on them. Bad killers it doesn't matter, I can take my sweet ass time doing gens, and I try to do all the totems but when you are solo it's hard to stop other survs from doing gens before totems are gone.
You can give me whatever nonsense you want about how killers get looped, NOED is still a crutch. No matter how you slice it, how much you butter it up, IT IS A CRUTCH BECAUSE IT IS THERE FOR BAD KILLERS. NOED might not be guaranteed, but it is still a comeback mechanic which by virtue of what they do make them crutches.
Also PS, I have NOED on my killers I do play and I don't use it because I'm not going to rely on a crutch. I take my L's, sometimes I wish I did have a NOED at the end, but if I did then I wouldn't become a better killer. I'd just stay where I'm at because I'm constantly relying on NOED to make up the difference for me. I use Remember Me instead, because 1) it's more reliable than NOED, and 2) it actually takes some skill and effort on the part of the killer. The game doesn't just give you 30 seconds on the gate, you have to earn it.

End game freddy works with stacks on remember me @5 or 6, and photo to sleep everyone. Noed a must for end game build because self care is a staple which serves as a soft counter
-
I main freddy, i know the black box combo been using that since day of release, I use class photo to gurantee a four man with the tracking, watch one of them wake up just to sleep them for tracking to prevent a four man. That's a play once again that is freddy specific, not a case for other killers to not run noed, black box isn't guaranteed in the beginning so class photo is a great companion to find the obsession, that still would rely on ruin, a competent survivor would know to go to a loop spot asap.thesuicidefox said:@Dabrownman1812 said:

This is fine as billy or someone with an instadown but some killers are borderline unplayable without it characters like wraith and freddy simply cannot exert enough map pressure if survivors rush gens and don't do totems. If the game slowed down I'd agree with you. However unless survivors make mistakes these killers will not stand a chance of winning as they simply are too immobile. Some add-ons can help these killer but those add-ons tend to be finite.Tldr a large portion of the killers in the game aren't proactive enough to be viable and need need noed to punish survivors who rush gens and don't get totems.
Dude I see Billy's and Nurse's run NOED all the time, and it's always because they are pure ass at being killer. It's a crutch. Buff those killers and people will STILL use NOED because they are bad. It's almost like clockwork, bad killer barely gets 2 hooks all game and then suddenly NOED. I've played against good killers, any killer, and they don't use NOED let alone need it. The perk is there exclusively to help bad killers, just like DS is there to help bad survivors.
Sorry it doesn't matter how low tier your character is or how bad of a killer you are, the game should not give you insta-down hits for failing. It's a comeback mechanic, pure and simple, and all comeback mechanics are designed to make bad players win when they shouldn't.

Already being nerfed, the deja vu perk will show closest gens each time to help new peeps not run into this issue. For doc it is best to leave the perimeter gens until the end to have the doc travel the distance.Techn0 said:Nerf three gen, encourage commitment to chases. Then you haven't gotten the concept of the clown and just isn't good with him. His power has many uses, not just to be lobbed at survivors for a hit. He makes loops and pallets unsafe, it's about thinking ahead kind of like nurse or huntress. Also, that tonic plus enduring kills d strike. He might not have the best map pressure but breaking loops and having tracking tool or assist is very good. As the clown, one can increase the size of the area and throw it close to where survivors can hide, one side of gens, and you can check around the smoke area. During so correctly would make the survivors give up location by coughing, or by leaving cover, or by having no choice but to sprint and leave tracks. There's a lot of thought and strategy that goes into the clown since he has a ranged attack that doesn't harm survivors.Master said:@IronWolf115 said:

The killer should always control the game, the killers used to control the game, but with balancing to old school bnp and moris there's no killer that keeps you on the edge of your seat like that besides very few others. The doc is not very strong, to noobs he is but he slows himself down and as long as a smart survivor does not ######### up at an umsafe small loop the shocks absolutley will not stop a survivor loop. But the clown and the nurse can mid chase cut a survivors path, the huntress can kind of do that. But the accuracy of her hatchets, reduced movement speed and even slower movement speed when winding up, makes her a joke I see at higher ranks back in the day. High rank survivors after the emblem update and 2.0 has been a joke. They fall so quick to a hill billy, can't last 60 seconds (some of them) in a chase. Back in the day, high ranking survivors has to learn to keep a killer for at least a gen or two per chase because you never know if you would make it to the hook due to a mori. There was fear, now there's teabags and survivors being occasionally amused by an ok chase. No, bring back the fear, the clown isn't the easiest to learn just like the nurse or huntress but he's harder than the huntress to learn and easier than nurse but he says ######### your defense. Buff stealth they say, as they did release new stealth perks but it doesn't fit on some people's build that hasn't changed in a year cause they run meta but still want to stealth. Buff stealth as they give dark sense a huge buff to show you the killer to stealth around
I'm a survivor main though I do play a lot of killer, and survivors are way more powerful than most killers and that's not how thd game is supposed to go. It's supposed to be in the killers favor because it is first and foremost a horror game. Same as the devs said against freddy who was weak and needed a buff which they released a damn there weak one nerf: learn how to face a new killer. Grow some balls. -
Damn, what rank?

Nah, bamboozle doesn't destroy all but it helps with many. I didn't say it nullified all of them, it destroys some common place infinites. The clown plus bamboozled kills infinites, bamboozled alone kills certain ones with a vault and a pallet. Forces down god pallets

Killers don't have hook vacuum, the hook is a swivel hook so it goes with that I think. The cool down for windows I think should be 30 seconds so soneone does not have infinite awareness but I believe they should buff the range to 30 meters.
Bamboozle is god in all ranks as it kills loops and destroys infinites. -

They are buffing killers finally to help combat this. Trapper: yeah, I popped his trap under the palllet, it's safe!

All maps
Killer and survivor (especially playing as or against doc/freddy during recieving or giving shock therapy and dream transition and in dream world)
Faced against all killers
Pallet stun: would stun the killer and recieve a hit, the killer would appear on the same side as me then warp over to the other side after stun animation has finished.
While in dream transition the prompt to pull down or vault is not present.
While running beside another survivor, they can be swapped over to the side of the killer if someone throws pallet down -
Since you lose it upon third strike it isnt op. If it is held on then it would be op. With ruin in game, theres no incentive to kick gens while you have ruin anyway. The mechanic is you're already in a chase with an injured survivor when you have the third strike, so that means you have to lose time to hit someone healthy so survivors have time to recouperate. This perk doesn't seem op since it is at an awkward third hit. And they have to hit a healthy survivor to get a token.DirtyNurseMain said:

Freddy doing harm like that is op, I main freddy and saying this. You can't see where he is and not even wraith can gen snatch while invisible, or pig. Nothing in stealth should gen snatch.Mringasa said:I like the idea of Freddy being able to pull a Survivor off of things even if they aren't in the Dreamworld. It might be a bit OP though. Maybe a change would be:
If the Survivor is at full health, Freddy yanks them off and causes them to become injured.
If they are Injured, Freddy yanks them off and downs them.
Freddy can put players in the downed state into the Dreamworld - if this isn't already the case.
This will provide some counterplay, the most obvious being gtfo before he gets there, but isn't too overpowering.Remove the failed skillchecks pulling you out of the Dreamworld and instead put in specific items (hot water pipes, some fires, anything that might cause pain, maybe a cup of coffee?) that must be used instead. Another player can of course do it for you with the wakeup action, but it would make him a lot stronger if the Survivors had to find something to do this for them solo. Add in a couple skillchecks perhaps to make the interaction a bit more difficult.

the perk wouldnt be op. it would teach survivors to check out wich totem it might be. insted of blindly cleaning all they see. the major downside of the perk. is if u get a map where its not ever found. than ur practicly playing with 3 perks. the perk needs to be powerfull. since its biggest weakness. is survivors not interacting with it.

Because of class photo, you don't need to rely on bbq, just leave the hook to a distant gen and survivors will think you have bbq, survivore count off perks so let them think you have bbq, for example see someone working on a gen with class photo and go to them after hooking someone, they will think you have bbq as well. Freddy's add ons can be mindgamey, like how paintbrush acts similar to monitor and abuse.Dabrownman1812 said:Don't tunnel, this tunnel thing works for noobs. As the title suspects, you are all probably gonna hate me. But i believe Freddy is better than Wraith. I usually (no joke) get 3 kill games with him. I never have got a kill with nurse and get 1 or 2 kill games with billy or any other meta killer. (I am rank 15). Or it may be because i have little-to-no skill. But anyway, here's why i think freddy is better than people give him credit for.-Once someone is put in the dream state, you can track them from anywhere in the map for the most part ( unless they're right by you [in heartbeat range])
-His power adds another thing for survivors to have to do (wake each other up or fail skill checks)
-It is hard for Survivors to hide from him. Unlike every killer other than wraith or Tier 1 Michael, if a survivor hears his lullaby they can only hope theyre in a spot to hide from him because with wraith they can see the outline and with michael they can see his body, so freddy is a rly good stealth killer.
-He also makes survivors fail skill checks like i mentions
I will add more to this thread later but i think you all get the point.

On paper there is no doubt that freddy is the weakest killer.
However, most survivors play survivor only and rarely play against freddy. They have no idea how to play vs freddy and get lost in the fog easily. However, when you play against SWF of experienced survivor who memorized the pallets, this is when freddy becomes trashtier (yes he is very strong in low rank though, just like doctor)
-
I main freddy, but all that is nice but he is an end game killer, run classphoto for that end game sleep with remember me stacks. The nerf to him during his first week kills him.if they made it so survivors can do channeling actions while in dream transition, make it so survivors aren't automatically woken up when they get up bring his terror radius back down, remove the slowdown from paintbrush and he'll be a dream demon.

Sounds dope

Most rank 1's use crutch perks like crazy, the top tier second chance perks sprint burst which allows you to be safe and run straight into a loop spot especially effective against people who have to charge their power or have a lower movement speed like pig and billy. Selfcare so you don't have to work as a team and makes medkits unneeded. Adrenaline for end game chases and hook saves, dstrike, a free second chance perk. A good survivor is able to survive with no perks anyway, missing dstrike doesn't hurt and a good survivor knows this perk is unbalanced. Non obsession d strikes tend to be the ones that gives them the free escape since the killer cannot confirm that they have it until it happens.

As long as a survivor/killer have a top tier perk there will continue to be complaints. The main issue is the back to back TO BACK pallets. Very rarely, and I say maybe 1 in every 100 survivors ever get to use sprint burst on me more than once, and that’s at rank 1-4

The stealthy person is most likely able to score higher for unbroken and altruism anyway, so it's balanced in terms of risk reward. Stealth lets you grab points from benevolence, lightbringer, and unbroken.
-
There is no perfect equivalent to chaser. Killer and survivor emblems mirror each other. Also, the difference in gain is balanced so the person evading the killer can have a chance to score because that person can't work on gens or help others for as long as that person is in a chase. Also, they are directly at risk for losing max unbroken points. The stealth non chase evaders aren't at risk.HeroLives said:
^exactly more points for stealthThat's the problem with it right now. If you play "properly", you're going to stealth and slowly work your way out of the Killer's TR before moving on about your business. The point gain for being hidden inside the Killer's TR is microscopic in comparison to being in a chase. They really need to ramp it up, and quite honestly I think they need to reduce the one for being in a chase considerably. That will focus on a stealth game instead of the current Looped til Daylight.
-
That's true, I stay away from the generic sprint burst, selfcare, dstrike, adrenaline build. I run dead hard, spine chill, wake up, and some weird 4th perk like resilience or bond. Peeps play to win, not according to how they want to play. Also, all perks can be x4 on survivors side which is what helps make things like selfcare and dstrike so strong.Runiver said:@Dabrownman1812 said:
Not sure if they will do timed perks, because that would make it really unreliable. Sounds interesting though.Situational perks will never be picked anyway as long as versatile/power perks (aka win on a button) are stil available.
Right now, people do not pick perks because of a build, they pick them because they're strong by themselves and useful, which is wrong. If you try to do situational perks, you'll probably make a pretty bad perk unless it's overly strong, which is not the case of this one.
