Reducing blood points is pointless because no one really cares about them unless there's a new killer or survivor. Camping killers should also feel the wrath of the Entity, and they should implement a serious downside to camping, whether a speed reduction for time spent within a certain distance of a hooked survivor or gen speed gets a boost if the killer is camping. Taking blood points away isn't enough of a deterrent, there needs to be something that could impede on their game play for the entire round. Camping, go ahead...but you're gonna lose your advantage.

Still will be abused by swf and people that want to troll the killer, there is already a penalty and that a killer will lose the game if the survivors are smart.

@DaGreenBolt I don't think you'll get banned. Don't quote me on this, but I believe right now the developers are not being strict with disconnects, because of the recent problems with people's loading screens freezing and unintentionally DC'ing mid-match. I think they fixed a majority of the DC's, but I still have the problem from time to time. I think once dedicated servers come around, they can tell whether you're crashing or intentionally DC'ing. That's when they're enforcing DC'ing consequences. So don't worry, man. You should be good.

Alright good to know, I rarely dc so I don't know what the limit would be to get banned, but if that may be the case then I guess I shouldn't worry

  • That's the message I had to read after winning at 5 gens left.

I feel the same way about the hatch spawning at 4 or 5 gens. Completely unfair as the survivors failed to do gens. I was playing survivor (rank 9) today as killer wait times were so long, and in one particular match as a survivor, me and my team got absolutely destroyed by a good trapper. We only completed one gen and I was able to get the hatch even thou I couldn't finish a gen and just did a few chases and saves. I honestly felt that this wasn't fair as I didn't do my part in the objective and that my team failed, but still able to escape. I think that change should be reverted and have the hatch spawn when there are three gens left. The killer did everything perfectly but was still punished from keeping the survivors away from gens

  • That's the message I had to read after winning at 5 gens left.

Honestly I feel the same about the hatch spawning at 4 or 5 gens left. Played as survivor today and in one particular match (it was at rank 9 if you are wondering) my team get utterly destroyed by a good trapper. Only one gen completed and I was able to escape through the hatch despite not finishing a gen and just preforming saves with some short chases (I escape a few chases). It's pretty unfair that me and my team couldn't do the objective and I still get rewarded with the hatch.

He dosent need nerf he needs 3 important buff

1.- remove the noise while hes night shoud why 8m hes suppose to be a damm stealth killer

2.- reduce hes cooldown of hes power 20-15s right now its 30s its way too long

3.-all detection perks shouldn't work against stealth killers

You should also add that downed and hooked survivors don't break ghostface out of Night shroud.

@Redd I honestly believe Myers is the most balanced killer in the game.

Huntress is stronger than Myers but she has pretty easy counters to her and most maps are terrible for her. There is just so many obstacles and line of sight breakers in maps for her to be viable on any map that isn’t MacMillan or Autohaven. Plus you can hear her coming from a MILE away.

I think you mean Myers has the most balanced add ons, where they aren't too op, but not too weak either. Myers is a mid tier killer and one thing he lacks is map control. That's why Billy is considered the most balanced killer in the game as he has map control, chase potential, and a useful ability. If myers had map control then he would be a high tier killer and probably be the most balanced killer in add ons and a killer as a whole.

i was rank 4 when i last played spirit and it was easy. you can continue to just invent things to make my posts invalid if you want but none of it is based on anything

survivors have no input in interactions with a spirit, all that matters is whether or not the spirit screws up. survivors just have to hope she's bad. that's awful design

if a survivor knew when she was using her power, the playing field would be balanced. you still wouldn't know where she was coming from but you could at least attempt to outplay her. as it currently stands you don't even know when she's using her power so all you can do is guess

spirit doesn't have to guess because she gets tells for where survivors are in the form of scratch marks and sounds. she can also just stand still and then use her power in response to what she sees the survivor do before activating it. even worse, she can accidentally bump into the survivor mid-phase because she gets collision while phasing for some stupid reason, giving her another free tell

people have convinced themselves that this constitutes a "mindgame" but you can't mindgame someone if they have no opportunity to react to anything. it's a guessing game and it's boring and the worst killer players find success with it

Falling for the spirit's mindgames makes her a "low skill" killer? You realize after nurse, spirit has the second highest skill cap in the game. Spirit is fine and needs the glass-breaking sound bug fixed, along with sounds so spirit can hear survivors again.

I think BBQ and Chili is unfair, it ruins our power to do gens without getting discovered. It should be disabled.

Yet you can counter bbq and chili using discordance, hiding in a locker, or fake your direction. As a killer, you don't have any counter to a detection perk except for EW1 myers.

When you are asking for nerfs, you are saying that the killer is OP, I don't get your logic here

  • @Tru3Lemon said:

i do agree that the devs could make this idea if killers hooks can spawn again if you destroyed a hook why not a pallets xd

That's a poor example of why to add it, that was a change for balance as once all hooks were destroyed the basement was the only hooks left and you needed iron grasp, and agitation to get there.

  • This is for the developers The "DC" icon.

I would love it, except it maybe to complex to implement due to how infinite loading screens are, games crashing, etc, we would need to wait for dedicated servers to add this as it would make it easier to implement as you can tell the difference between an intentional and nonintentional DC.

  • So you want to punish killers for dodging a match with a swf group? So does that mean we can implement punishment or penalties for playing in swf.

  • Yeah we rely on ruin to much cause we don't have any other perk to run that would slow the game down "just a lil bit" from gen rushers. Literally today while playing the hag with devour hope instead of ruin, after I downed the first person, 2 gens popped simultaneously, and shortly after hooking the survivor the third gen popped. Its not fun when 3 gens popped quickly just after the 1st hook, usually if that happens (I hate when I do this but I have no choice) I have to start securing some kills cause I know the moment I go to check on a gen either 1 gen is left or all gens are completed.

Some killers who don't use ruin use Noed, but its a double edge sword as it can be taken out before all gen are popped, but can punish gen rushing.

Unless BHVR can do something about how fast gens are being finished, ruin is going to be a mandatory perk to run to just enjoy the killer and have a chance to kill survivors.

Just ignore him, she cant stay like this for too long. One day we shall get a rework and this kind of player will have to learn how to play an actual killer for a change.

She won't be reworked until all killers are at billy level, cause shes the only killer that's viable against tryhard swf, with the best perks and add ons, and that shes a necessary evil in the game.

Ands whats your definition of an actual killer? Low tier killers like legion or freddy, or mid tier killers like huntress or micheal? I doubt you consider high tier killers as actual killers since Nurse is a high tier killer, some survivors are calling billy op and a "crutch" killer like you are trying to suggest to nurse. So whats your definition of an actual killer?

Nurse is an actual killer that requires alot of time to learn her blinks and her mechanic.

  • Honestly it would be balanced to have unlimited time for pgtw, cause you don't get enough time as a killer and you need that time sometimes, another reason is that its a viable replacement for ruin.

    @White_Owl said:

PGTW is supposed to induce the killer to leave the hook, and 30 seconds are enough to cover 130+ meters (even for slower killers). Personally I think it is ok, maybe I would just increase the timer to 40 seconds, but that's it.

Okay, but you will usually encounter survivors on the way, or survivors attempting to go for the bum rush for hook. Are you really going to tell me you will ignore the survivor right in front of you for a gen across the map and/or ignore the survivor right near the hook?

  • Ruined shouldn't be nerfed or anything, in fact, even with ruin up, gens get finished at an alarming rate, so far out of 10 matches I played today, 9 of them were basically that gens got finished in 5 minutes even with ruin up, had to secure 2 kills to get some bp, but the fact is gens are easily able to be worked through ruin, and ruin doesn't help much these due to have totems are still out in the open and how even with ruin, gens get done too quickly.

  • The devs even said that billy is the most balanced killer in the game, its just that you probably face low teir and mid teir killers that once you face a high teir killer such as billy (a good billy), you scream op cause it has the essentials of a balanced killer. It's people like you who caused freddy to be nerfed. Killers should be at the level billy is at, not nerfing billy to be a low teir killer like you want.

I was a wraith main before the legion change and I can safely say he is not add on dependant.

I'm a wraith main as well, but what I meant that he's add on dependent is that with add ons, he becomes a mid tier killer, but no higher. You can do well without add ons, but currently wraith needs add ons to make his stealth more useful (such as breaking pallets, gens, better movement speed, etc..).

  • Wraith is still a low teir killer and add on dependent to make him viable, but currently wraith got 2 mini buffs from the mid chapter which is u can attack without putting the bell away first and you can close the hatch while clocked. But with add ons, wraith is amazing. Wraith was my first killer and I basically played him all the time (as it was fun and some what challenging) until I got my hands on spirit, and myers. Now I play all three killers equally and I main all three.

  • I suggest a gen protector build, using surveillance, discordance, hex: ruin, and any perk of your choice with green adds ons that increase duration or movement speed or recovery.

Idk a jumpscare build, but M&A and prayer beads are a must on it.

  • One of the funniest accusations for me was that I was using wall hacks, as I saw someone go into locker when bbq was active, and people calling me a no skill player for using a brown and yellow add ons for wraith (I also main wraith as he was my first killer :D), what made it funnier was that it was a 4 man swf with insta-heals and at least 2 with MoM. Second best for me was when I was accused of lag switching even those the survivor was super laggy because of his internet. Both happened at rank 4 to 8 (don't remember the exact rank)

@DaGreenBolt I get WHY they would want to derank, but why choose to derank now? Why not yesterday when they weren't forfeiting 100% every time and wasting the most valueable resource during this event: time

They choose to derank now to get the most of the BP event, which is to get baby killers

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Why are they deranking during the event?

People are deranking to get easy matches as killers and survivors at lower rank aren't as good as high ranks (Ranks 1 to 5), and so they want bloodpoints and want easy matches to max them out.

    @Kiskashi said:

It's funny reading your post and the survivor equivalent and people going wow why are killers bringing tombstones and moris during the event and you're going I'll do it bc toxic survs, I see a correlation here... But yes this is why I took a break from killer, I was getting rank 14s on reset that were god survivor squads so I was just done. I play killer as a break from survivor but wow...

To be fair, my first few matches I put up BPS and the moment I do, I see the gen rush, swf, the most op add ons. Basically this even I would use BPS and I'll just use the same tactics they are as way to many time I see survivors teabagging and bullying the killer. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt but I knew in the end it was going to be toxic as hell.

  • @JawKnight said:

    Well, rank 16 killer and went against ranks:10, 15 , 9 and 5.

    When I played survivor it was :12 (me), 9 , 10 and a 5. The killer was rank 15.

Yeah, but that wasn't what I faced, I took a break from dbd since rank reset and the moment I came out to grind the bp, I saw derank squads, the most op addons for the event, people with the 4 man swf, bringing in bnp, insta heals, and the best flashlights, while killers bringing moris and the most op add ons. It even seems that rank 1 players have been dcing and deranking to get free wins.

Well I guess i'mma have to use doctor on game map, legion, huntress with insta hatchets, tombstone myers and spirit with prayer beads cause I'm not gonna play nice if people are going to be toxic.

  • It's a nice idea, but if the change the cooldown from 5 seconds to 1 sec, it would make the perk useful, but this could be a new perk like "eyes from the shadows" (I'm not good with names).

  • I would like to point out to people attempting to claim "I like exploits or something" that I don't use exploits. So far all I'm seeing are survivors exploiting going outside of the map yet that isn't addressed for some reason. But back on topic:

The legion is controversial but how is nerfing legion to worse than freddy tier a rework? They even nerfed his cooldowns as BHVR doesn't want to make legion viable as to prevent uproar from the survivor side of the community. At this point, there is really no incentive to play legion, even his adept achievement will be near impossible unless you derank (which is scummy), or wait for rank reset. There were other ways to keep FF but to make him fun and enjoyable while making him at least a mid tier killer.

The Pig nerfs were really unnecessary, granted they did remove one of them, but the face you can leave with an inactive trap on really dropped the pig from mid-tier to low tier, IDK if shes at the same level of freddy, worse, or barely better. Pig could have been a top teir killer with how strong her endgame is and the fact that there was so many options to fix this which one option was to make 2 boxes have two keys instead of one box when endgame happens.

Remember me nerf was unnecessary as endgame can only happen when killer closes the hatch, opens the gate, or when a survivor opens a gate. Remember me wouldn't effect the endgame as the gate needs to be open which is the most likely the scenario will happen at.

The only thing I like so far is that now endgame lasts 2 minutes which is far more balanced than 3 minutes.

Leatherface had bbq nerfed so you can avoid the aura easier.

DS has been nerfed 4 times even though its still strong.

Many things have changed chars and perks people purchased.

I never once saw someone complain about a refund when they got changed even with Freddy being nerfed one week after.

Legion was designed to hit multiple survivors while in ff but the players quickly found a way to use that power instead to down a single one more effectively.

That is why they are being changed, the original concept is what they plan to make him into, just because you can't down with FF anymore without add-ons does not make the killer something they did not advertise as on the contrary what they are becoming is closer to what they actually advertised they would be.

Thing is when you make a killer worse than freddy then there is a serious problem. People paid to play a fun and enjoyable killer, not a killer that would be nerfed and become worse than freddy. People wanted a rework on legion, instead BHVR nerfed him, and people feel like they wasted money on devs that don't listen and just nerf things.

Yes, but hes literally worse than freddy. People telling us to wait for the ptb, or legion would be a Noed-like killer, thought that legion would be better except the amount of nerfs it got cause some are delusional. Basically I think this mid-chapter patch, will make me take a break from dbd for awhile. I really don't want to play against Mom, ds, and the new meta perks guarantee a second chance for survivors

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/59402/the-legion-nerf-my-thoughts-and-suggestions#latest

but simply saying "everything sucks" and leaving wont help anyone.

Since when does BHVR listen to us about the ptb anymore? I doubt they will change anything, just like they did when spirit, legion, and plague came out. I may take a break from dbd for awhile as this is starting to look like dark times again, and I don't want to play survivors with MOM, ds, adrenaline, etc. As it makes the game way to easy.

  • Out of any killer bhvr nerfs (which you shouldn't have done considering legion is getting nerfed and worse than freddy), they nerf a mid teir killer. I starting to think we may have another dark times scenario as now we have 2 killers worse than freddy. At least freddy slows down the game, pig doesn't anymore. Pig could have been an S Teir killer cause of the endgame but nvm. You guys nerfed Plague in the ptb (which she could have been an S tier killer but ofc survivors yelled "op").

Either way BHVR you may want to undo a lot of changes as you gain suviovrs back, but killers will start leaving the game and you are basically gonna increase the time a survivor will need to find a match.

  • I show mercy if there are only 2 survivors left, I will sometimes show mercy to 3 but depends on how they act, my behavior, and if I'm running survivor pudding or bp offerings

Yes it was buffed, BUT when the plague cam out, they nerfed it again. They made it have a 5 second cooldown, and a range nerf. It was balanced when it was buffed and apparently it caused to much noise, so it basically need a 1 second cooldown, but instead BHVR did a full 360 and nerfed the perk to uselessness.

When I saw this perk after legion came out, and was happy with the result I used it on myers or the spirit, but now I wish I didn't get this perk on my bloodwebs.

This isn't the first time BHVR give a killer perk a QOL just to nerf it again, a great example of this was unrelenting.

Yeah, but they nerfed it again when plague came out by reducing its range, and making it so it's every 5 seconds it can activate, when it was buffed it was balanced but bhvr did a full 180 and basically killed the perk again

  • My favorite dcs is when some guy teabagged me if front of the god pallet, and I was playing myers with tombstone piece, and myers memorial, and I hit teir 3, and faked going around and I grabbed him. He proceeds to dc mid animation, and then another two survivors dced. I was lmao and disappointed. Me and the last survivor just farmed all the rest of the game.

I love the amount of dcs when I use tombstone and myers memorial.

  • I like this end game collapse except for one thing, why is bhvr rewarding survivors for not completing gens, being super altruistic, or being potatoes in general, by giving them the hatch at any gen, so that means survivors can have a free escape at 5 gens left.

  • My take is that this was the wrong way to "fix" legion, these nerfs are way too much, and I tried out legion without using any exploits or op add ons, and he is really add on dependent to be a mid-teir killer. Feral Frenzy is easily 360-able and requires survivors to be together to get the most affect, which most now won't do.

It seems people forget that FF has a cooldown after being used, which gives survivors enough time to get distance to a pallet or vault a window. So no, legion won't become a noed-like killer. This one-shot FF they are implementing isn't good thing as the name itself is called Feral Frenzy, not Feral Hit.

The real way to fix legion was to fix the add-ons like Frank's Mixtape, or the Nasty Blade add ons.

    So wrong lol

Every map still pretty much has 1 infinite in it with a survivor running Balanced Landing. This should be 0.

You should either escape and hide or get downed, you should never be able to run a killer indefinitely via broken map design.

Hell the shack if you can drop chase for a moment to unbrick the window works for this.

And the pallet change? 1 per map on average. Well bugger me that felt so different.

Oh and they re-added double pallets on some tiles that was real nice.

Huh so I'm not crazy, I noticed that there was more pallets than usually forcing me to give up chases. And surprisingly some double pallets are now back

Except I haven't been told by anyone that there's no auto-aim. I have noticed as survivor AND killer when the killer jerks to line up to hit, or the auto-aim targets a tree, or tire, instead of swinging towards the survivor. If you've NOT noticed this, please play the game more.

Idk if there is auto-aim, but sometimes when I go for the survivor going through the window, ill somehow hit the side of the window when clearly aiming for the survivor. Another time is when I'm chasing a survivor a david runs past me but is already behind me but for some reason when I go to swing at the injured survivor, my character just does a 180 and hits the david behind me even though im lunging

  • Yes, because it would basically be old DS again

  • SWF are still op, either way most of the time when I play killer, when I face a swf, they are usually very good, can negate ruin without breaking the totem, keep chases for a long time, and gen rush. Honestly SWFs that basically mess around are the best SWF for me as its fun for both sides of the players.

A lot of the time my friends aren't even talking about what's going on in the game too. I do find depending on who I'm playing with I do find myself getting sandbagged and farmed off the hook more than I do when I play solo.

Then I get messages from killers (I'm a PS4 player) asking me if we were a SWF, where I try to explain to them that it really was not a SWAT SWF team.

Although, while I play better in Solo games, I do get lonely after a while of not playing SWF.

It's understandable if the killer doesn't know you're swf if you are messing around or so. I had my fair share when I thought I faced normal survivors when actually it was SWF messing around with each other. Although most swf killers will face are ones that want to bully the killer.

  • I don't think BHVR will address this by nerfing it, instead they will give killers a similar perk such as downing 2 or 3 survivors gives 1 free insta down perk.

But so far MoM is literally like old ds, and the fact 4 people can run it will no repercussions makes it unfun for the killer.

Even then Spirit takes a lot of time to down someone, she’s extremely map dependent, big maps and falls, small maps and she destroys. Billy can snowball and doesn’t have a CD, Nurse is ass on console.

Even then, they still can’t apply pressure without having to build it.

Huh I didn't know spirit was map dependent, but either way she is more viable at red ranks than a myers.

They can apply more pressure than the current mid teir and low tier killers.

  • @harry14141414 said:

    killers don't need buffs lmao

Yes they do, at red ranks, if you aren't using a nurse, hillbilly, or spirit, 75% of the time you will lose as most know how to do gens under ruin, can run around killers for ages, and riddled with swf. Tru3 even called the wraith with coxcombed clapper and the ghost- soot, a mid teir killer. Pretty much that low teir killers are underpowered, and some mid teir killers needs certain perks and add ons to be viable at red ranks.

Just so you know eventually people who play killer, wont play any other killers except nurse, hillbilly, and spirit. Which won't add variety to the game. I'm really starting to think about playing and learning the nurse again.

Only 3 killers are good without addons, Billy, Huntress, and Nurse. The rest feel clunky without them. And yes that includes Spirit, because almost everyone uses a form of recovery speed, because 15 seconds is insanely long.

I would include micheal in there, as even without add ons, he is very good (myers main btw).

At the same time, you don't see Monto teabagging, flashlight clicking, using old DS constantly, and being toxic in general in front of killers.

No. You need to earn the stack. There's absolutely no reason to give you a free 25% extra BP. Could the DC bonus be a little bit bigger? Sure. But I'm not sure why, if you play a 25k game, you think you deserve 6k+ BP handed to you even though the game itself is made much, much easier for you when there's a DC and much harder for the remaining survivors?

A much more prevalent issue is survivors losing everything when a killer rage quits. They are actually LOSING what they earned. You're complaining about something you may not have even gotten in the first place.

First off, that second paragraph is way off, the only thing you will lose is your offering not items with addons, while killers on the other hand, lose not only their offering but add ons.

Now downing a survivor requires skill, and usually salty survivors will dc, and usually I will run bbq, I lost 25%. About half my matches these days are 2 people dcing when downed at the beginning forcing me to farm with survivors, and get 2 out of 4 stacks due to, 2 people dcing. I don't see any harm in giving a token to bbq per survivor dcing that match. If killer dcs, and you are running WGLF, it will just gie ya the remaining token or all 4 tokens.
