No, you didn't exploit anything, you didn't hold the game hostage, just had fun with the remaining survivors.
If that's the way you like to play, you are fine.
-
Without exhaustion 1-2 survivors could perma stun the killer.
-
It scares me how little the devs seam to understand why we love the game and would play it.
No grinding for perks? Why would everyone use the bloodweb anymore?
For add-ons and fun games!
If the devs really think that we just play for the grind and the grind is the only mechanic thats keeping us playing, the game would be terrible!
-
Oh nooo all the years where survivors just didn't wanted to leave and tbagged in front of the gates, wasting over 10 min before taking the hatch are now over!
You had to endure max 4 min until to move over.
Poor survivor main never experienced the pain of a killer who's game was taken hostage.
The devs finally put an end to it and now you start to complain?
Let them have their 4 min of celebration after a deserved victory!

-
8% higher survival rate in total.
+20% respective to solo survivors.
Not that high?
If a 3th party program boosts your survival rate that much you don't think it's strong?
If 8% isn't that much just buff the killers action speed around 1/6/8% to keep up. (Against SWFs)
It's not that much according to you.

That's an interesting idea. How do you suggest that would work, exactly? How much would it cost to raise a perk that you have up by a tier? And to play Devil's Advocate a little, why would someone choose to continue filling out bloodwebs if they already have the tier 1 perks they want?
The cost could be 5-6k I even would pay 10-20k.
Why I should fill out the bloodweb?
For cool add-ons!
Add-ons can alter the playstyle of killers in a fun and meaningful way and as a survivor I love to have access to more cool items that opens up certain playstyles. Will I play as a medic? Gen-jokey? Saboteur? Flashlight God? Map/treasure hunter/totemcleanser?
Key for the unexpected hero?
Experiment with more fog to hide and sneak around.
Amazing Syringes and cool looking Moris!
If Mori spam becomes an issue just change the prerequisite of Ebony Mori to 2 hooks and you are fine.
Not having all perks asap just hinders my enjoyment of the game.
The lack of options without all perks forces me to play a certain way instead of experimenting. Trying out meme builds just to have fun in the game.
Maximizing BP and farming poor guys would drop, because other things become more viable.
Having fun as an example.
-
Why did you chose to nerf Remember Me instead of buffing Wake Up! If you were concerned with gate timers during the EGC?
-
Rather then hangman's trick I would run Franklin's and if they sabo direct in front of me, they get slapped, drop my carried survivor and down the saboteur.
If the downed one don't have Unbreakable I would lock in 3 survivors.
1 on the ground
1 in a chase and
1 healing the downed
And they need to pick up their boxes.
Works for me.

@Peanits During the PTB I open a thread with questions about the new Legion, how right now other Killers can accomplish the same goals of the Legion better and faster and asked you, if you could elaborate a bit more what the core idea from the devs for the Legion is but you completely ignored it.
You not even use the Devs I read button.
Why wasn't it possible to let us in to the discussion about Legions vision and let us the community help you create an amazing and balanced killer for all to enjoy?
Is it possible to elaborate more in detail what are the thought of Ethan and the other devs about the new powers of the Legion?PS: why did you nerf Remember Me instead of buffing Wake Up! ?
-
She is the reason why I start playing the game!
I love her mobility and map pressure and I love to set up traps and mindgames to outsmart others. Winning by knowing you played smarter than your opponent appeals to me.
Her addons offer a variety of gameplay options that can be fun and viable.
She is not that overpowered because you need time to set her up for success.
For playing against the hag:
crouching prevents the trap from going off, only Mint Rag Hag can counter this.
Flashlights and Fire Cracker cancels her traps.
If she is in a chase you can confuse and defuse the hag by running around and setting off as much traps as possible.
MYC is a beautiful perk paired with the Hag and she lets you pressure the map while protecting certain objectives (Totems, Hooks, Gens, Choke points ect.)
-
Dear OP, DBD is an asymmetrical game with the killer in the power role. If the survivor easy can 1v1 the killer, the game would be broken.
The entire point of the game is to play together as a team to outmaneuver the killer.
If you fail your main objective and let the killer successfully kill all 3 other survivors without completing the gens and finding the hatch before the killer, your only chance left is sneakily open a gate or ping pong between the 2 gates to escape within 2 min.

Then let the killer in on the fun!
Why is KYF a separate queue and SWF not?

There has been plenty of suggestions to reduce the collision box of killers due to lower the impact of looping but that #########'s been ignored since forever. Reducing the collision box would solve this abuse. Just saying.
@Tydie I see you have a recording. Do you have the Nurse's steam ID and such too? You could send them to Behavior. Blocking the basement stairs are considered bannable, if they do it for the sake of forcing survivors to DC.
You can report the Nurse after all gens are done and one exit gate is open. Now the Nurse needs to hit them or unblock the stairs. Until then she can block you off.
Or if the last survivor also hops into the basement.
Is it stupid and annoying yes.
But so long the match can be completed not bannable.
-
Just take only No Mither, You can also add OoO so the killer can see you at all time.
-
RNG my ass, since 7 levels I always get the exact same perk, that I don't want to take.
7 times in a row! Wish this bad luck I should try to gamble.

Wouldn't that punish killers giving solos high stats?
This is how I see it.
With 4 people on a team, 1 person is 25%, 2 people is 50% and so on.
49% survival rate basically means that on average with a 4 man squad, 2 people will always escape and 2 people will always die.
41% for solo survivors means on average, between 1-2 will always escape and 2-3 will always die.
But 41% is still closer to 50% of the team surviving than it is to 25% of the team surviving. It might just be that one of the two survivors was on last hook or barely escape. So mathematically, that 8% survival rate still adds up to about 2 survivors escaping each match, but just leans slightly more towards a third kill for the killer.
If they chose to buff solos, the killer can be adjusted to the new baseline.
If they chose to give nerf the SWF 1/5/8% of the action speed, no further adjustment needed.

Everyone knows rank does not mean much in this game. You have trash killers who camp and tunnel their way to rank 1 and you have insanely good killers who hang out around rank 10 because the queue times are better. Likewise, you have survivors who get carried to red rank by a good team, and you have some survivors who are insanely good but like to hang out in lower ranks for queue times and to bully baby killers.
Of course the data is not a set in stone indicator, but it still says something.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/458696#Comment_458696
And yes. that is what the data shows (which is also what I said so congrats I guess for reading??). I ALSO said that the increase in survival rate is insignificant and makes very little difference. 41% solo. 42% with a 2 man group. 46% with 3 man group. 49% with 4 man group.
So the difference between me running a solo game with no communication and running in a full squad of my friends where all of us can communicate is only 8%. That's not "OP" or game shattering.
OP = over powered
And as you pointed out so nicely they are between 1-8% over the base power of survivors.
Would you advocate for a 8% action speed buff for solos? Or would you prefer a more individual 1/5/8% nerf according to SWF members?
If 8% is no big deal, why doing we give it a try?

Balancing SWF by changing the rules when a SWF group is present is the wrong move every time.
People can get groups and/or VC without the need for SWF, that button just makes it easy so the average person can do it rather than just try hards. And the average person can easily just post a discord link into the pregame chat. No one does it now because SWF exists so there is no reason to.
Also this is the equivalent of just giving up on balancing SWF since you are essentially saying.
"######### it! SWF = You are now playing a different game"
Doesn't playing as an SWF already changing the rules of the game and violate the spirit of an isolated horror game?
And doesn't the recent statistic show that higher numbers of SWFs have a higher survival rate in comparison to solos?
Yes voice is usable for everyone, yet only SWFs and rarely random solos are using it.
I would be glad, if everyone would use voice, so the game could finally get balanced around this incredible advantage.
-
Self Care allows your team to focus on objectives.
Searching and getting healed by someone takes away time they could either do some gens or occupy the killer.
You don't need to group up and can apply more spread map pressure.
Then there is a lot of tricks you can do by 99% yourself.
MoM was mentioned but also perks like resilient that boots almost all your actions. Combined with SC with almost no downside!
If you just focus on the inefficient healing you lack the bigger picture.
With Adrenaline in the game, healing becomes obsolete for some players.

Insidious does not make the killer invisible while standing still. sorry had to vote down for wrong info
Read my first sentence.
There is no true invisibly in the game.
-
I think the devs play the game a lot actually.
But they don't play your version of DBD.
I assume they mostly play their ideal version of DBD.
If all their games would be like Mattieu vs the Koreans they would probably alter the vision of the game.
-
1. There is no true invisible in the game. You can spot the shimmer of the wraith and get the bell notification if he uncloaks.
Freddy has, besides his multiple weaknesses, a lullaby that announces him.
Spirit has the wosh sound as well you can hear her footsteps, grass moving ect.
Prayer Beads add-on combo is the only true invis, but can be counter by gentapping and avoiding the blind spirit.
Insidious is also a perks that lets a still standing killer turn invis. If you cannot spot him, use Object of Obsession and you still can see and avoid that static killer.
2. Hex: if you referring to Ruin you either git gut at hitting great skill checks, gentapping or maybe cleanse the totems. 5 at max on the map.
Small Game, Detective's Hunch and a map assists you well until you learn where to look for them and understand the behavior of the killer.
3. Moris: they are rare and costly, that's why they are powerful. But you still have perks that helps to avoid getting hit.
Dead Hard, Sprint Burst, Mettle of Man, Friend with Borrowed Time, to an extent Adrenaline. Instaheals and bodyblocking team play helps. Or just play more sneaky.
General advise:
If you think a killer is OP just play them for a while, learn their view, what they are good at and what counters them.
All killers in DBD have exploitable weaknesses.
If you are too lazy to put some effort in to understand the game or inform yourself, DBD may not be the right game for you I am afraid.
-
What the stat don't show is how many 2x2SWFs are playing together.
2x2SWFs are still a pain to play against as well as 3 men SWFs.
If you play survivor 3 men SWFs can be extremely toxic because some tend to abuse the solo as bait and cannonfodder.
Against using or exploiting a ingame mechanic to ruin the enjoyment of others.

I'm a killer main and there's already a Crutch Perk and it's called NOED.
I want it removed because it makes bad killers even worse that tend to rely on a whole perk to save their game but who am I do judge.
NOED is a strategical perk. It either forces the survivors to slow down the genrush to cleanse some totems or suffer the exposed status until they cleanse the totem or escape.
To think NOED is a crutch just shows how less you understand the game.
MoM is a Crutch perk, it requires no skill at all to use it, just get hit 3 times with m1. On most killers no problem and others can be bodyblocked. That would force them to hit you with m1 or drop the carried survivor. And no, face camping the first hook is not a good counter to MoM.
-
I pop all my saved Bloody Party Streamer to be a nice killer and all survivors so far were super toxic, genrushing, tbagging, flashlightclickers.
They can see the Bloody Party Streamer right?
So why do the play so toxic, genrush and let each other die on the first hook.
I just want to stack BBQ and have some fun.
Why does this community has to be so toxic at such a fun event?
-
I use the bloodhunt to farm and have fun games.
Unfortunately some sweaty SWFs don't get it and are super toxic and tbag.
They don't get it, that I don't want to kill them, only to stack my BBQ and let everyone have as much fun and BP as possible without hookfarming.
It's really unfortunate that we cannot communicate during the game.
-
Anti slug perks:
Unbreakable, Tenacity and Resilience help too.
Flip-Flop as long you are next of a hook and are fully recovered.
No Mither lets you stand up every time if you recovered fully.
Chose your pick.
Just adapt as some player like to tell others ;)
-
How to counter MoM:
Universal counter is to face camp the first hook.
A Mori, Ivory or Ebony allows you to kill them after the first unhook, if the couldn't heal up.
Otherwise if your killer has access to alternative attacks you can deny MoM from stacking.
Instadowns from a healthy state is also possible.
But stacked MoM in injured state is besides bugs or grabs impossible to counter.

Just as a hint.

Just genrush the living ######### out of the camper.
If the player does wants to camp for the sake of it, no one can stop them, but if you throw yourself at them, don't do gens and let them end the match with 2-4k why should they ever change?
Just he happy that the killer is locked down and do some risky gens for the next 2 min, should be more than enough time to do all the gens without interference of the killer and go on with the next match.
Stop hookfarming and feeding the camper!

Deep wound forces survivor to mend himself, for the time he is out of the game.
@Pixusman Quote out of place... there is a real reason of Legion's rework... and that's moonwalking legions... if you meet someone doing this... you are done, there is no way of countering it, that's the reason of the rework.
If you want to arque with that the Legion should get this rework, tell me just a single way of countering moonwalking legion, just a one way to survive this... that's all.
If Moonwalking was the only reason a some hotfix like timer doesn't goes down within the terrorradius would have been enough of a change to give it a test.
But there issues with Legions are, no tools available to the survivors are viable against a good Legion. Only option is a perfect pallet stun to knock him out of FF or trying to go invisible with Iron Will and Urban Evasion.
As stated above, Legion needs some powers that either helps them end a chase or snowball of a chase, not this half-half, but the worse half of both worlds.

What?
What an elaborate comment.
Let's try to explain it to you:
SWFs almost exclusively using some sort of voice communication to emulate the effect of the perks Bond and Kindred.
Wouldn't it be fair towards other solo survivors if they not just get to use these perks for free but actually equip them?
-
MoM can even be used against Nurse and Billy.
Nurses lethal blink is a bug and if you say, body block for a survivor Billy only can hit you, and once stacked you have one invulnerable hit while injured, just 99% healing and you can even tank Chainsaws then 100% if you think he will just slap you without the Chainsaw.
So far only BT could accomplished this.
4 man immunity to all damages is useless? How?
-
@xChrisx said:
MoM is fine stop complaining
What about hitting every survivor once would add a gen to be repaired?
It would be on the same level as 4 man MoM and it would be anti-tunneling and anti-camping.

the fact that it has counters
The only universal counter to MoM is camping the first hook. No perks, add-ons or offerings involved.
Does this sounds like a enjoyable and healthy gameplay mechanic?
-
@NurseMainBTW said:
That's why you want to run Spirit fury/Enduring/Bamboozle combo with her. Works like a charm and punishes non-healers pretty hard.
This needs to be base on all m1 killers. As it is right now most m1 killers only have one perk at their leisure *cough* BBQ *cough*
-
What would you say if all of a sudden you need to repair an extra gen because the killer has a perk, if the setup parameters are matched, it would add an additional gen?
Would you perceive it as fair? It's just one more gen.
-
I understand the point the op tries to make, it would give the skin some sort of an exclusivity and prestige. On the other hand real life stuff can always hinder you to participate and enthusiastic players who join the game at a later point still should have the opportunity to purchase an amazing skin for the survivors and killers they love to represent and play as.
I always believe that giving more options is better than restricting them.
Maybe BHVR can implement a little seal that symbolise that you aquire the skin during the event, like the special borders in LoL?
