This is just an adjustment due to the Franklin's change we got with RE chapter.
Keys (and Moris again) are still being changed according to the 5th anniversary stream.
-
They are being moved to the ptb discussion board, not closed.

Oh so when do you do it? Before or after it actually tells you it's active?
Both.
I've had situations where after the killer downs a survivor with NOED, they camp them and then me and the rest of the survivors go looking for NOED, cleanse it and go for a save.
I've went past dull totems that I later come back to after the last generator finishes and see it is now lit up and cleanse it before the killer gets any value from it.
Sometimes, the totem I'm currently cleansing will light up when the last generator finishes.

Normal hexes are fine. It's a hex that you have to do 5 dull bones to cleanse.
You can just cleanse NOED after the totem gets lit from the last generator being done.

Is wraith mostly depending on addons or not anymore?
You don't really any specfic addons as wraith with the speed buffs he got patches ago. But he has plenty of solid addons to pick from.
-
Wraith has the most consistent stealth that doesn't care about the map rng.
Ghostface and Myers both need maps with LoS blockers to be effective at stealth and plenty of maps are open.
Pig's stealth is easily the weakest stealth due to moving so slow while stealthed, but she still has the same issues that Ghostface and Myers have.
-
Of course not. Besides the fact this will make anyone who even thinks to queue up with a single friend have super long queues for no good reason. Killers will also complain that their queue times are also long, because I bet most of their lobbies do have at least a duo SWF.
There's nothing wrong with SWF. People are just scapegoating SWF as the reason they lost a game.

The devs need to understand that distance alone is not a good enough judge of good hook spacing. There are walls, obstacles, different elevations, etc.
tbf, the system has been around forever and was largely fine on most of the original maps since they are just single floor maps. Old Thompson House had a guaranteed hook spawn on the 2nd floor balcony to prevent any issues with the house.
-
I'm pretty sure BHVR is just going to make us artificially wait for the other rewards even if we already have enough to unlock the other tiers.
An annoying way to run this event.
-
I honestly haven't experienced that much hard tunneling. It's really not that wide spread as people claim.
Also, chases are supposedly the most fun part of dbd so what's the real issue if the Killer decides to chase you the entire match?

But now 3 player punished because of DC. And cant even fault them because how broken spirit is.
At very least harsh DC penalty needed,if no matchmaking ban possible
The average spirit is very much beatable.
D/Cing because you didn't get the opponent you wanted is entitlement and you'll never improve if you quit against any killer you don't like.
-
No.
All it would do is punish killers who are queueing up as a killer they want to play with longer queue times just because survivors can't handle facing killers they don't like.

It's not your opponent's job to make your game ######### either. If they decide to let you bleed to death for no god damn reason, that's not them doing their job, that is just them being absolute jerks.
Killers don't have to hook you. They can choose to let every survivor bleed out. It's a valid mechanic in the game that will cost them bloodpoints.

And they also aren't meant to make your game feel like #########. Things like slug the last guy for a god knows reason is simply not necessary, it doesn't bring you a single advantage. It purely makes the other's game horrible and unfun.
Survivors arem't meant to be your friends either. They aren't supposed to stay in a place and let you catch them. They also are allowed to sit at the gate to consume your time. There's nothing wrong with that.
It is not your opponent's job to make sure you have a fun time.
But no one here is suggesting that survivors just stand still and get caught. Don't strawman arguments.
-
@Pukenplag said:
Please, stop making threads like this. Complain about unfun things for killer. This way, you won't get the negative feedback from everyone.
This forum consists of perhaps 90% killer mains, 8% survivor mains and the rest being 50/50 mains. You will get hate for complaining about survivor issues.
These topics get ridiculed, because the entire premise is being upset that your opponent is doing something you don't like.
It's a pvp game. Killers are not meant to be your friend.
-
You'll have time to find the lit NOED totem before you can open the exit gate.
-
These killers' powers tend to break the established gameplay of how chase works, meaning survivors can't play how they have always played.
This sounds like you just don't like killers who can't be looped around a tile until you are forced to drop a pallet and then run to the next tile.
There is absolutely nothing wrong is killers have different methods to avoid in chase. Making every killer have the same chase gameplay would be boring.

In practice, that's not going to be accurate. The speed boost is a thing, and survivors can get around cover with it. In Huntress's case, she can threaten a survivor into not going across a corner by aiming at it after winding up for 1.25 seconds. Meanwhile, a survivor may very well be able to just run through Trickster's blades in some circumstances to get through a corner so that they can waste more of Trckster's time since he'll need to reposition. Sure, he may exceed Huntress in hitting several survivors, but that's about it. I think he'll be decent with the buff, but Huntress still definitively is ahead in many common scenarios.
Trickster can apply laceration damage immediately after inflicting a damage state meaning the speed boost survivors get from becoming injured is not that big of a deal for Trickster and is where his main advantage is. Trickster's problem is tall walls since unlike Huntress who needs to land 1 hit, he has to land several which is made harder when survivors can hug tall walls denying him the ability to land multiple shots in a row.
This isn't meant to be Trickster or Huntress is better than the other, but Trickster's Time to Down is honestly far better than people give him credit for.

It's weird how MMR is always secretly on.

Guess what happens when survivors uses a perk that's killers claim is unfun? It gets nerfed.
What happens when killers use a perk(s) that not only is unfun but is also totally wins the game for them?
Answer:. Buff another killer.
I have to wonder when will survivors say this is enough.
Undying and Ruin have both been nerfed and survivors complained about both those perks.
You need to get your memory checked.
-
I don't see how this makes her more fun to play as. You would be better playing billy or oni since they at least can instant down with their power.

@GhostMaceNotCrusty said:
If you're playing killer, I imagine a lot of new players are solely playing killer being it's the more... iconic? Side to play as therefore polluting the queue
To add to this. Killer also has an easier time being bloodpoints so it's generally picked more during events that have increased bloodpoints gains. The event cakes are more common on killer as well.

Spirit does have counterplay, Tru3talent regularly posts videos of him winning against spirits and how to do it. The community's argument against that is always "that spirit was bad" But, if that is the case, then we should be nerfing survivors, because then we'd be balance around high level players and not average players, right? You can't have it both ways.
I hate the whole "you can only beat a bad x". It implies an issue with people good at the game winning.
-
So a killer is only fun to face if they use weaker perks. Really shows the concept of survivor fun is more about winning because none of those perks improve his chase.
-
If you are constantly giving spirit free hits by vaulting into her the problem isn't the fact she can stand still.

BHVR has never said Shrine Of Secrets is a random selection. The fact that it is not is very clear given the fact that Object and DS both appeared immediately surrounding their recent reworks.
I'm pretty sure the devs can override options in the Shrine of Secrets if they feel it necessary. They have put up perks in the shrine when challenges for those perks were active in the past.

Survivors get 15% penalty for each other survivor working on the same gen.
Prove Thyself only provides a non-stackable 15% bonus to survivors if they are working on a gen with another person.
Due to how the game calculates the math, it doesn't even negate the penalty fully if only two survivors are working on the same gen.
-
It might be a while before Blight's chapter is revisited. They are starting with Trickster meaning the next mid-chapter will likely be RE Chapter revisit.
The rest of the chapter appears to be trying to fix some latency issues plus the mid chapter will likely have fixes to issues caused by the RE chapter as well.
-
If chases were the only fun part of the game then literally no survivor would complain about being tunneled.
There's nothing wrong with some killers having stronger 1v1s at the cost of the 1v4.

Yet killers think it's the responsiblity of the survivors to prolong doing gens so they can get hooks?
I have the same problem with killers demanding survivors play a certain way as I do with survivors with demanding killers play a certain way. However, one is far more common than the other.

Why are u so stuck up behind the whole "it's not your oponnent's job" mentality?
It might not be their responsibility but killers have the power to determine the outcome & how much a survivor gets during a match. You can't just ask a killer in the match to stop camping & tunneling you... But they sure as hell can stop from doing that and chase someone else.
DBD is a PvP game.
If you want to play a game where another player helps you get a high score you should look for a co-op PvE game.

Great, every time someone makes a thread similar to this, we get comments like this...They're always in the top 3 and have the most upvotes...
Why must u find for them an excuse to play scummy...
Would it HONESTLY kill you if you played nicer during the event? And not like a total piece of garbage? (Not asking you)
This is why we can't have nice things. We honestly suck as a Community and there's no way around it.
2 weeks of constant pain.... Should be fun.
Because it's not your opponent's job to make sure you get out of a match with a high score.
You don't see people asking survivors to give killers hooks at the end of the game so they can get points.
-
I doubt you are actually encountering cheaters on the level you think you are.
You can get some pretty insane heals with med-kits and/or perks.
Grabs are not reliable with dedicated servers.
And as far as speedhacks go, unless you can prove that someone is moving faster you might be thinking they are moving faster than they are. I remember checking a ttv start streamer after a game once and someone in their chat was claiming that I was moving too fast. But it was just the fact I breaking los constantly that made them think I was going faster than normal.
-
Even if they go the AI controlled route, I hope they still keep the ability to switch control between them.
-
I don't see how it is the responsibility of the killer to make sure everyone gets bloodpoints.

Nah, a facecamping zombie is simply a no, you can get down by the zombie itself trying to unhook or have the victim get insta down, or burn BT immediately
The thing is zombies don't facecamp like they did on the ptb. At worst a zombie might path in front of the hook, but they no longer stay there.
If people are having issues saving a survivor off a hook without a zombie getting an attack in, then they aren't taking the time to make sure the zombie isn't close enough to the hook.

Not that much of an option under pressure from the killer, thats the thing.
Zombies shouldnt be allowed to get near hooked survivors.
If the killer was also around the hook, then that's still an unsafe play. Like the issue isn't the zombies here. Your teammate made an unsafe play.
-
Sounds like the person who rescued you didn't make sure it was safe.
It's not hard to get a zombie to move away from a hook and then go for the safe.
-
There's nothing inherently toxic about a killer killing the survivors.
Sure it sucks you had teammates who d/c'd and made the game impossible for you and the other survivor, but it's not the responbility of the killer to let you farm or escape in those situations.
You should be more mad at your teammates than the killer.
-
The offerings gives bonus bloodpoints. They do not force either side to have to farm.
People need to stop acting like that using these cake offerings means the killer must farm with you.
-
I just had a Demo tunnel me and I ended up being his only kill, because he gave up pressuring everyone.
It's a risky strategy if the killer picks the wrong person to tunnel.
-
It's weird how Killers are the only ones expected to be the ones to play nice during an event.
-
Is it just a text change or did the effect of the addons actually get changed?
We've had past instances of BHVR accidentally putting out text changes to addons before a killer got reworked. Also Franklin's got changed on RE chapters and the text for the perk wasn't changed immediately. BHVR is very bad at keeping text accurate.

Alot of survivors face the problem of looking at him for more than 5 seconds yet he doesn't get revealed. That is the only reason why I made this.
The correct fix is to adjust how revealing works and not add on a harsh nerf for an already not that strong killer.

"Tbf, I think Trickster can in theory down someone from healthy state to dying state faster than Huntress"
NO
absolutely not.
Especially when huntress can do it in 1 shot with iri head
I'm obviously not counting her iri addon as I'm looking at their kits without addons.
Trickster is not nearly as slow to down as people think he is. Just a lot of maps and tiles are not friendly for him to get multiple hits in a row.
-
@WiiFitTrainer said:
Yeah he's actually not bad to play in terms of feeling, but man does it feel like playing huntress in slow motion. Then suddenly you realize there's 2 gens left and you've only downed one person cause it takes ages.
Tbf, I think Trickster can in theory down someone from healthy state to dying state faster than Huntress as he has no cooldown between knife throws and can stack laceration immediately after damaging a survivor. But that can only happen if a survivor is stuck in a tight corridor where they have no way to break LoS.
Although even the most open maps like Shelter Woods have ways to break LoS long enough to deny him some laceration damage so that's basically just not happening in a real game.

I got the map today and got the final achievement I've been missing.

It’s unfortunate that “GG” has been turned into something negative by some. Personally i think it’s best not to say GG to the opposition if it was blatantly obvious they got stomped or performed poorly. For this game I wouldn’t tell a Killer “GG” after only getting one hook and everyone survived. It’s obvious that wasn’t a good game for him. To me that’s not sincere. Some feel obligated to say it regardless of how the game was played, win or lose- for sportsmanship. I definitely get it & respect it.
He got multiple hooks tho. In fact I thought the game was going to be over with a person out at the start of the game.
