Proposed Spirit rework

So I have an idea to make Spirit more fun to play as and against while making her more balanced. What if whenever she was phasing she could only move forward and would have to curve exactly how Hillbilly works. It would be easier to turn but the idea is that she would be a bit easier to predict and every situation wouldn't be a 50/50. If you guess that she was phasing you would know which way she's facing and which side of the loop she would be going down. I feel like it would just be a bit easier to predict things and she would require some more skill to play making her more fun.

There could be new mind games that would open up and if she really was that bad they could buff her speed to make up for it.

  • You see I don’t think that resolves the issue with Spirit. Her problem isn’t the fact that she has complete control of her movement as her skill isn’t meant for that, it’s meant for paying close attention to the environment and using your ears very efficiently. Her issue is that she gives no feedback on what she’s doing and all this would do is keep that same issue while making her more unbearable to play as.

Blight already exists which is what you are describing.

Double cooldown killers is not what spirit needs.

  • I don't see how this makes her more fun to play as. You would be better playing billy or oni since they at least can instant down with their power.

Yeah but Blight doesn't go invisible. and you could also go around short loops which Blight cannot do.

  • When she's phasing make her become a dim shadow on the ground. gives her counterplay but only to attentive survivors while keeping her power pretty much the same

So you want spirit to be an invisible Billy? And you can actually do short curves with Blight.

You aren't supposed to do short curves with Blight and Spirit can't insta down like Billy has. Billy also has to rev his chainsaw and makes a yell indicating that he's sprinting. They would be very different.

Hence why billy is not played as much anymore, dumb roar every single time you use your chainsaw.

Anyways, Blight got fixed and you can do short curves without addons so I'm assuming you are thinking of old j-flicks.

Anyways, making spirit into a hybrid blight/billy is not what people want, people just want to know if the spirit is phasing, something that can let them know if they are being tricked by standing still.
