I had an Ace bot that changed directions so abruptly that I failed to hit him at least two times. It was a short albeit weird chase. Probably the weirdest I had with my killer.
-
I can reiterate what Eleghost says. Sometimes, when there are difficult challenges, you have to leave your comfort zone and put together a build suitable for achieving the desired result.
-
No issues here in Central Europe. It does take a while longer to find matches, though.
-
How far have they progressed? If I work on one for a long time I am tempted to finish it even if I risk it with an approaching killer. Honestly, one of the great things of DbD is the sensation I feel here. I know it is silly but I want to be done with it at all costs.
-
I think there are many perks against it. I see no particular reason for this system.
-
That's pretty awful. I had a match with a P99 and 100. Just wanted to meme a little and do the pallets challenge (12). They didn't get it... some people just play the game but do not pay attention. Tick-tick-tick...
-
'Then what should you do then?"
What your heart tells you. I'm - generally - a nice person in real life so I'm not going to create a different personality and punish gamers in a video game with slugging, camping etc. for some childhood trauma.
It's not about us vs them. It's about people. Bad manners exist on both sides.

I’m with you on his laugh. It sounds so spiteful huh? “HEH HEH HEH HEH!”
And his summer BBQ was definitely a treat.
Especially when he coughs in the process. He is so full of himself.
-
Clown. I just love his laughter after a successful down. He is also the most anger-inducing killer if you are a survivor for the same reason. The confetti add-on is great for fun matches where you just want everybody to get a lot of BP and his most recent summer BBQ outfit was superb! Somehow, I also feel like he is very fast (as opposed to his obesity).
-
Those saying "nay" can provide explanation? Thought this'd be a 100% affirmative.
-
Let's avoid anything that promotes slugging...
-
Not necessarily a bad idea but give it some criteria. If you are healthy it is pretty easy to escape. So make the aura appear only if you are injured.
-
Unfortunately, I can only do Solo as SWF is not an option. I have friends who do not like multiplayer games or if they do then they do not like DbD's asymmetric nature. However, my matches recently have been fine. To ensure I do not get angry I simply do not play killer anymore. My survivors matches are good and I often escape. And if not, when getting a pip I am always happy.
-
Killers I can't learn to play. Or, more specifically, I do not want to invest enough time into learning them. Such as Oni, Blight.
-
Honestly, recently my games have been alright. Even with a total loss or with all of us escaping people did not add any cuss words in the endgame chat. But half the time it is closed for me and I only open it if I want to say "gg" after a long match. When you approach DbD in a casual - and never competitive - way it can be fun. I just returned several months of hiatus only to purchase Cage and Ripley. I'm having fun facing the Xeno and at this point the abundance of such players does not bother me.
-
I don't know to be honest. It's DbD and SBMM as usual. Couple of days ago I kept losing with my Clown. Tonight I won some matches with him. For the 6 pallet break challenge I switched to Hillbilly thinking I was on a winning streak meaning I'd probably lose that match. I secured a 4K while the majority of my chainsaw hits missed.
-
I use "We'll Make It" to ensure fast healing for the others. Distortion is great as some killers use Lethal Pursuer or Nowhere to Hide. Prove Thyself is great but I have recently switched to Deja Vu. The 4th and last perk I usually keep character-specific. This is the build I run for almost everybody.
-
This is very disappointing. I thought there would be a list - a separate option - that is available to check at all times.

Light born and bamboozle are not needed (lightborn especially) I am very surprised you are not running pop in either of their places especially since you run nowwhere to hide. Stick on pop instead of lightborn and sloppy instead of bamboozle.
Yep, especially with the update to Pop.
Thanks a lot folks for the homework! I'll check and experiment with these combination of perks.
-
Thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely create a build with Startruck and try not to waste Lightborn if there is only one flash in the lobby.

IDK... how do you play??? How long are your chases??? What Addons do you like using???
Maybe:
Corrupt- stopping the first Gen being done before you find the first Survivor (probably)
Deadlock- stops the most progressed Gen for 30 seconds (probably)
Oppression- kicking one Gen cause up to 3 Gens to start regressing (RNG based) and causes difficult skillchecks for all Survivor currently on Gens
Surveillance- synergizes with Oppression
Pop- hooking a Survivor activates Pop for 30-45 seconds and causes the next Gen you kick lose 22.5% of progress
What perks do you want to keep... or are you the type to change the loadout???
Sorry I forgot to add: I use add-ons increasing my throw speed and bottle cooldown (that's one grey and yellow). Honestly, I love bombarding survivors with bottles.
-
It is very similar to the track from the end of the Alien movie. I think it's pretty solid.

I agree. I think it should be centered on the gen, not the killer. Then it would be fine.
Mmm I tend to notice some survivors because of how the perk currently works but those running away I don't usually chase. They are already far away. I think the perk is absolutely fine as it is now.
-
"Good news, everyone!" (read out loud in the Professor's voice)
-
It's the grab itself (the animation) that is problematic. Make him miss but make the survivor injured. I'm fine with it. Or just let them receive the virus.

I’m like 15/3 at this moment
Yeah I have like 53/3 now. But the question remains if the difference has been added to the sum total.
-
Gearhead is great against Distortion. Lethal Pursuer is less common these days so whenever someone uses Nowhere To Hide I feel comfortable hiding near gens. I may lose my tokens but being near the killer means I'll also gain some. With Gearhead I lose them faster and killers can find me. This is a great addition to your build.
-
I'd love to see a Wednesday outfit for Meg.

- Save the Best for Last. If you're unlucky and get the obssession first i would simply break the chase and go for someone else. But before that it would always make sense to injure that Survivor because that puts them under more pressure.
- Corrupt Intervention. Gurantees a bigger frame to find Survivors and partially stops them from gen-rushing or hiding.
- Spirit Fury. Breaks Pallets when you broke 2 Beforehand and when you get stunned. Combine this with Enduring Tier III and hit into the pallet on purpose so the Survivor will definetly stun you with the Pallet, then it will break and you will only have a very short stun time and you are guranteed a hit if you go forward for like 2 Seconds. STBFL will then do its joj and shorten the wipe Animation which grants you more speed and if you have 6 Stacks already then that second hit will definetly follow shortly after.
- Enduring. What i said above. Is kind of a better Perk for Pig than Brutal Strength as it reduces the time of the Stun and feels like a identicsl Speed Length to Brutal Strenght when breaking a pallet.
Add-ons:
- Crate of Gears. (Very Rare, Purple.) (Gives a better Time-Frame to find survivors at boxes and shortens the Headtrap Placement time by a LOT.)
- Combat Straps. (Speeds up crouching and uncrouching by 30% which makes it more smoothly and hides you faster. Isn't a must and can be replaced by something else but for me personally, this is gameplay wise a big improvement on her power and a lot of help.)
Can you explain why "Save the Best for Last" is a good perk? In what situations does it come handy?
-
Can you give a summary (list) of perks you used for your matches? I'm interested in it.
I'm planning on returning to Pig and play some matches and I need some tips.
Personally, she needs one simple modification: the transition from standing to crouching and vica verse should be faster. And that's that.
-
Initially, by using the other route I didn't get the Billy outfit and I thought you'd need the chainsaw challenge, too. A day or two later I found it in my inventory. All good - I'm leaving that one in the middle locked for good. I'm not that good with Billy and I never try that hard to find the 4th survivor or not give the hatch.

It's literally a free value perk. I've been using it because people either don't heal and instantly die or heal and waste 6 minutes on it.
0 thoughts, just easier game.
I mean people just work on gens as fast as possible. So the former scenario occurs more frequently.

I play on Playstation as well. I turned off messages and take full advantage of anonymous mode. Part of me misses when I would get the occasional positive interaction (well played, GGs, thanks for the rescue, etc.) but it's not worth the overwhelming negativity.
I'm thinking of turning it off again for the same reason. It's just too much toxicity coming from killers and survivors alike.
-
Can you confirm which challenge you are referring to and what is your current progress right now? I'm on 2nd page and the first communal challenge has been sitting at around 310k for a while now.

Solo Q is quite playable, but amount of monkeys and suiciders is way too high to be enjoyable experience. It boils down to luck this days.
This pretty much sums it up. With good team mates a match even with your sacrifice can be good.
One thing definitely each survivor knows: how to crouch or nod repeatedly at the beginning as a means of greeting.
-
Your are naughty if you managed 3k but you are baby if it's 1-2k. And, of course, the "l2p" abbreviations are common.
However, this happens on both sides. With my Ash I have now reached prestige 20 (highest level of all my characters) and this means people expect a lot from me. Saves of hooked individuals where it is not possible without another hook / sacrifice, very long chases etc. The two sides are alike - both have nice and awful people.
-
I managed to pick it up just yesterday! It appears to have been a temporary bug only. The chainsaw challenge remains open so you don't need both routes done for it.
-
The 2nd page is going slowly, though.
-
I tried it today to ensure I don't get hooked. But got downed immediately.
The internet is a lie. 😫
-
He hid his name. Then you had the first such match with him and for mine he decided to go incognito.

Probably only they can answer. Maybe after the sacrificed someone at 5-4 gens they realized they don't have to go as hard?
Probably this. It sort of proves they had a sweaty match before (perhaps against SWF?) so they use the same mechanics immediately. Then after they realise the team is not that sweaty because one is out. And the recognition of SoloQ also kicks in.
-
I rarely see this killer but when I do I usually lose the match along with everybody else. Except last time a couple of days ago when he missed his jump attack twice against me and he DC-ed. Never felt better.
"The killer sees that you are starting to break the portal and most importantly HE CAN TELEPORT DIRECTLY ON HIM.why it was invented no one knows."
Is this true or is there an add-on dependency here? I always close portals and he never appears there.
-
Some of them are muscular so do not really fit the way the survivors look like.
With the exception, for instance, James Bond.
The franchise has been going on for 60 years - it's high time the entity put an end to it. 😎
-
I voted no but I'm interested in finding out if you thought about this further? So what happens when rebooting them or how to reboot them? What is the penalty / cooldown for that?
-
I'm fine with giving up add-on slots. After all, you can always find items on the map.
But not a perk! :)

I don't understand those people honestly. I've had some teammates who just don't wanna heal you, I don't get it, they don't even run EGC perks. Are they trying to play killer David since incentive is on survivor? Who knows.
I recorded what he was doing. Not from the beginning but hopefully it will be accepted as evidence to a report.
-
I'll tell you something worse: a Wraith hooked a 92-lvl David twice. When I saved him he didn't want to be healed but decided to run around in the map (Autohaven) and drop ALL pallets. When reaching hooked or saved survivors he didn't save / heal them just running around. This also meant that he notified the killer of the presence of the others. This is the lowest of the lowest.
-
I think so. Some will main him and destroy every kind of team (including SWFs). Kinda like SM. I wonder those desperate to face him will have nicknames for him to express their hatred.
-
As a survivor I enjoy the sensation of fear and dread. That there is a killer approaching either because I hear the Terror Radius or because of the opposite: I hear nothing and the match has been going on for a while. This, coupled with the often great chase themes, gives me a superb gaming experience.
To make it better a great SoloQ team includes people that help each other and know how to work together. And while winning is good at the end of a great match it's best when at least 2 of us (brothers or sisters-in-arms) can manage to escape. If none of us then the fact that the match was long (and I got a pip) feels very comforting.
As a killer I always thought I am the one causing mentioned fear and dread. But what are the indicators for that? People do scream or bleed but if they keep teabagging or gesturing towards you or blinking with their flashlights perhaps they do know what they do and also I am facing a group of friends. I realised later it wasn't the case. Even with this attitude securing 3 or 4 sacrifices is doable.
But the matches are sweaty this way. I feel like I try too hard sometimes. So what remains is the hunt itself. That (hopefully) there is only a short chase during which I make the right (not harsh) decisions and I secure knockdowns. That is great! Even if it is just 1 or 2k at the end. The aim is, naturally, 3 or 4k as it means I was able to "rule" the matches. And the best feeling is not when 4k happens with one survivor finding the hatch or opening the gate. No, it is when I allow them to do it. That is full domination! It feels great! And on rare occasions the best of all occurs: regardless of the outcome all 5 of us feel it was a good match. And all 5 people say "gg". And if they highlight me as the killer having good performance that makes my day.
-
I see a white line appearing in his mouth periodically.
