Also this is wrong, just confirming for you, the only change is vault speed, lunge and insta downs. Tier 1 is the only movement change tier.
Tombstone also makes him move slower if I'm not mistaken. So on top of taking a lot of evil to get there, and requiring two ultra rare add-ons to get much out of, it still hinders you and makes you move slower all game. OP just needs to learn to loop.
-
It's what I'm familiar with and all I've ever known so I can't say whether it's hard or not. Outside of certain killers, there's not as big of a difference as there is in other games like First Person Shooters, but I've also heard PC players act like it's the worst thing in the world to use a controller.
-
All I get are Wraiths and Billies

@ClogWench Hag and Nurse are the only killers who can bypass it actually. Spirit has to still vault the windows so they can sit on the other side and wait for u to phase and vault.
It's pretty scary thinking only two killers can shut down such a powerful loop. Huntress does OK, but she's not as reliable as Hag or Nurse.
Trapper can also deny it fully and surprisingly thrives on Haddonfield, though that's still a lot of the cast that can't counter it well
-
Tomorrow? Won't happen. In the future? 1% maybe, though if not done properly could kill the game.
-
As a hag main I've never experienced the Haddonfield loop but ngl it sounds frustrating.

@TreemanXD oh lol as soon as I looked at it the first thing I wondered was why he put a instaheal on a purple medkit instead of a brown or yellow one XD
I think it's to maximize the amount of times you can heal with it before using the Instaheal.
-
Without trying to be rude, it just means you haven't actually gotten the chance to improve against competent survivors. The problem isn't SWF. The problem is people of a lower skill level facing them and suddenly being heavily outmatched for the first time.
-
Yeah I don't understand the resistance. If you don't want it don't buy it. Plain and simple.

Did they show us the results?
Would it make a difference if they did?
-
I mean we already had a survey asking about this very thing
-
Hag is phenomenal
-
Legion just got a skin so don't expect anything anytime soon. At the end of the day they are still the same killer. Having 4 people doesn't give them 4x the cosmetics.
-
Most toxic survivors enjoy when they can tell they've made someone mad so it's better to just treat them like any other survivor and not give them the satisfaction
-
People who don't run self care literally will not shut up about how they don't run self care and then stand next to me tbagging while I'm on a gen to get me to heal them. Suck it up and get on a gen Feng Min, I don't care if you're bleeding, I'm not wasting my time healing you because you can't handle being hurt for 40 seconds.
-
Honestly I do well with most mid tier killers at high ranks so I can't really relate to people acting like they're unusable
-
There is a French subforum in the International Subforum section if that helps
-
You can force thrm out. You aren't forced to wait thr full 2 minutes.
-
Top tier bait, well done
-
Not that I'm aware of, no.

Oh I didnt know lol, but wasnt the whole problem with freddy is that he had to use his power to even be able to hit survivors?
Yeah, that's why people are expecting them to change how that works while retaining the concept of Freddy hunting you in your dreams.

I'm sick of people saying Legion "takes skill now". Legion is not a high skill cap killer. He's about as low skill as the game has to offer frankly. You basic attack. The end. His ability can be summarized as "run a little faster for a few seconds and then basic attack, but you can't use this attack against the same survivor twice." How is that skill?
The skill comes in knowing when to break off for someone else or when to focus down one person, when and what do commit to, and how to leverage that extended healing time further in your favor. You need to know when to use and when to end their ability. If you think their ability is just to get a quick first hit in then you're using Legion drastically wrong. It's not that he's low skill, it's that you don't have the skill he needs.
-
You're not forced to buy it and it's not game changing so there's no real problem.
-
Dropping leaks is an easy way to get free advertising from the playerbase
-
Legion is really good now, he just needs a lot more skill and awareness to use properly. You can't use him as a tunneler and expect to win. Instead you gotta focus on spreading out damage regularly to draw things out as best as you can. You also need to learn what loops he can and can't handle. Frankly I have a lot of fun with him and he has a lot of interesting builds he can use. Most of the folks saying he got gutted and that he's weak just can't figure out how to use his power properly.
-
NOED sucks to get hit by but if you get hit by it it's your own fault. The only change id make is reverting it to only tier 3 having the exposed effect, since it makes it super easy for new killer players to benefit from it against survivors who barely have the skills to escape.

I'm not trolling. You can't honestly complain about survivors 99%ing gates when you freely have the ability to open them yourself.

I play him cuz I like Legion. That's all there is to it. Why do I play all killers despite not liking some of them? To learn how to play them, get some variety, and freshen up the pools. When you really break it down, new Legion isn't any different from old Legion except he's forced to play a specific way.
You can't down with DW, DW doesn't do anything, he's basically old Legion but 115 and in permanent slow-mo. That's it. Nothing changed, they just took things away. Which is why I don't get the "unique" part of new Legion.
The thing is, DW wasn't designed in the first place to be a reliable means of downing someone. It was designed to be a way of forcing survivors to waste time healing. Only it was poorly designed and easily abused+people didn't know how to play him but though they did. Now he has the ability to reliably dish out more pain, and the standard speed to chase someone down after the fact. It's a relatively simple ability but then so is Clowns, Wraiths and Trappers abilities and no one complains about those being boring.

If 1% played him before, and 1% play him now, that's still a poor pick rate. How many people do you know that actually main Legion? How often do you see people streaming Legion gameplay?
That's great you find him fun and unique, you can enjoy your basic ######### killer. Unique is laughable, he's an M1 killer who sprint bursts with a broken leg. I don't like new Legion being neutered with no bite, and I actually played him when he was 110, with no addons, or any cheese. He literally is the most basic killer, who's power gets turned off the second someone is injured. You could literally play any other killer and mimic Legion gameplay.
Also, if the pick rate didn't change, that means no one else picked him up at all. It's just old players playing him.
I don't watch streamers but I do see plenty of Legions when I play survivor. Probably more than most killers. You won't be able to argue with me that people play him for reasons other than fun, especially considering he's certainly not top tier and really why would you play him then if you don't enjoy him. At most I'll agree he could use some minor tweaking like vault speed

Regardless, personally he feels even more generic now than before. No sense if uniqueness. Part of the appeal for me at least was his speed and fluidity when in chase of FF. Now that that's gone he feels very homogenized and his power at the moment isn't very utilized.
I like the direction they're going in, leaning him more towards tracking, however more changes need to be made to him to make him unique again, because if I wanted to stall and just stick to tracking, we could just play doctor, 115% Ms is fine although it seems like a bandaid fix to me. I could've gone without it, if they had placed greater emphasis on the potency of his power.
Frankly I think he's fun and unique currently. And the fact that he still has roughly the same pick rate means there's people who agree and play him because they find him fun.
-
Considering his pick rate and win rate are about the same I'd say it's not that Legion isn't fun, it's that those complaining about him are a loud minority.

So should we advocate for some type of lenience? At minimum survivors shouldn't depip for getting 1st hook camped right away.
Tbh the root issue there is the deeply flawed ranking system in the first place. Depips from being camped is just a side effect of it.
If I were to suggest something to help in the interim though, give a survivor points towards a safety pip if they go into second stage from first, or if they go down to an unsafe unhook. This also helps with farming and being abandoned on the hook by your team.
-
That's a case of the survivors not getting much rather than the killer getting too much.
-
The emblem system doesn't determine your ability to win, so much as your ability to do what it tells you to do. You can end a game fast, which is the rational thing to do, but the emblem system just wants you to complete certain tasks with no real reason why. It's a bad system that replaced another bad system and will likely someday be replaced by yet another bad system.
-
You word this as though they do it regularly. Also with how long it takes to program things they likely had Mettle designed long before the DS nerf. I doubt they're connected.
-
Seems like a really bad example honestly. Besides, every Mid chapter patch strives to do the same thing.

No if things get messy, you're supposed to keep playing the game. If the killer traps you, you made a mistake. Yes, people trolling is a problem, last night I d/ced from a game where a guy lead the killer to my locker (i was hiding from bbq) and pointed me out, and I D/ced.
That does not make either of us right. It makes me wrong for D/cing. And it makes them wrong for trolling. Having a d/c button does 100% nothing to help the game.
When they said getting trapped in the corner they meant being held hostage, not just getting pissy cause they got caught.

@Peanits It sounds to me like the rework idea is going to be much easier to pull off if you play SWF though, doesn’t it? It seems that what’s happening is we will be remedying the issue of MoM in how it’s strong against weaker killers, but now putting a survivor version spin on it. Now the perk will only be useful if you play 3-4 man SWF, who are the players who don’t really need it, and those that do need it (solo players) won’t be able to run it. As a solo player, I can’t see myself ever using it. Three protection hits is just too much, especially considering you’d probably have to take Empathy as well to have any shot. Just not worth it from the sound of it, but I guess we’ll see.
Only it's not useless for solo. Also SWF isn't as much of a problem as people think. You can play around team bodyblocking, and if you're truly worried about it you can run Mad Grit to punish it. The survivors have to waste time healing each time they get hit bodyblocking so it's not like all this is happening simultaneously to 3 gens being worked on. It's really not as bad as you make it out to be.
-
Considering the survivor isn't supposed to lose the item if they survive, regardless of having a ward, I imagine the ward isn't the problem. Unless it only happens when you bring a ward.
-
I wouldn't say Rancor is broken currently but it WOULD be drastically unfair for the last survivor to get hit by it since they would have 0 chance of survival then. Same with why Bitter Murmur doesn't work.
-
Can't say I've ever had that problem (also not a sir)
Maybe try to recreate the bug and record it?
-
Did you use it up or drop it from Franklin's Demise?
-
That's a problem with the player not reacting to the survivors plays. There aren't an infinite number of short loops. Just break the pallet and deny the loop.

@johnmwarner you forgot Hag, as usual.
Sigh Underrated, is obviously Hag. Clearly better than Billy and weaker than Spirit.
Overrated, obviously Billy, he's just an effortlessly loopable killer against smart survivors, at least Hag has a chance.
I wouldn't say Hag is underrated, but definitely underused. A lot of people just don't know how to get the most out of her. Unlike Billy and Nurse who are relatively straightforward, Hags ability gives her a lot of possible tactics. I don't see many hag mains but I see a lot of people acknowledge her as top tier.

@Iceman said:
Survivors that like to body block will benefit from this perk. If the protection part goes through then every killer can be able to counter this perk.
It could also open up opportunities for Mad Grit to be worth running too which would be nice since it's currently pretty niche
-
The protection idea is fine. People get bodyblocking hits all the time anyway. Last I checked that counts as protection.
-
I had a match in KYF where the entity wouldn't block the vault on one of the tractors and my friend just could not get me regardless of what he tried. I haven't faced it much in regular play but mostly cause I don't get looped much. But I can definitely see how it's a problem for killers like Billy or Wraith
-
Mechanically underrated: Legion
Conceptually overrated: Legion
I love how he plays now but his design is boring and uninteresting (and Legion fans on here tend to get on my nerves, especially with the pins)
-
It's always been bad but I think the release of Legion really opened the flood gates for it.
