I'm not fan of moris...but I get noed on certain killers. Just c'mon with spirit with ruin noed and ebony. Not saying that's you..just that I've seen that and its overkill

At least 1/4th of my games I would have gotten a 1k, survivors get over overly altruistic and that 1k becomes 3k or 4k.
Hell, I've gotten 4ks simply because I downed someone and they wanted to sit at the open gates t-bagging, and, uh, yeah, I have Blood Warden.
If survivors stopped the whole "everyone must escape/BM" mentality, I bet kill rates across the board would go down at least 10%.
I agree with this. My rule with friends is one of us must escape. I hate when we lose because they get so worried about 1 guy hitting second stage that they keep trading hooks instead finishing gennys.

I mean, generally losing isn't fun. It's part of life, whether that be in a video game or in a real sport.
If you're playing football, and the other team is beating you badly, are you going to ask them to nerf the other team, or change their perfectly legitimate play style? BHVR, in the DBD instructional video, promotes camping as the more or less intended way to play, if you want to be technical.
I'm not asking for nerfs. I said gen speed was fine. This post was asking for them. So by your point...camping and tunneling is fine...so is gen speeds.

I'd say this is the real problem here. What it takes to get a pip, or even black pip at red ranks is nonsense for killer. I really miss the old killer victory cube sometimes.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/903500#Comment_903500
Both of which are legitimate tactics with legitimate counters in the form of perks.
Yes but no fun..and not a lot of skill involved. That's why it is hard to pip now. Cause they trying to promote more fun game play
-
When I play survivor hate to be tunneled out of the game. Right off the hook. Still new to survivor and cant loop.
As a killer..I guess when survivors are god loopers.. which made me want to play survivor in the first place.

The statistics that were realeased dont include alot of varibles
You mean like camping and tunneling off the hook?

70% is a 2k on average which is a depip for red ranks
70% basically 3k average
-
I'm not gen rushing I'm trying to help my team. If I do 2 gens and killer never shows up to stop or chase me what else should I do?

@[Deleted User] said:
I’m just tired of spirits that tunnel everyone to death. As soon as the unhook occurs “WHOOOSH”, down again.
As a spirit main I hate to see her played this way. But unfortunately so many killers do it cause it's easy.
-
Nothing can be done about gen speed. No one wants sit on gens any longer. Maybe a secondary objective. But aren't kill rates at like 70% now. Seems plenty of killers are doing fine with current speeds
-
You also say as survivor if killer camps you just move on. But if they don't camp you send gg. Which seems to say you acknowledge that camping is not worthy of a gg
-
I only get salty when I am straight tunneled out of the game. Farmed hit and put right back on the hook by. Tunneled through BT and chased and hooked again. Why tunnel so hard? Fine if you find me again or I run into you but to bypass the farmer and chase me down, c'mon man!
-
A lot of new killers camp, because they are unsure they can catch a survivor again or they are more concerned with kills than learning to get better. Higher ranks camp because they are so often rewarded for it as they know we will try to save a guy before second stage. It is unfun play style for survivors but for behaviors to continue it must be reinforcing in some way.

Yeah it's an even worse experience on console and it's completely unfun playing with immersed people who don't know when to get you and are to scared to even save.
So true, had one claudette standing in the door way 2 feet from me on the hook, Killer chasing another survivor on other side of chain fence. Every time he looped him near and heartbeat got stronger she dipped back into the doorway. Second stage with survivor feet away.
-
BBQ on spirit, is a Blood Point machine, Play pudding or streamers and you can have half a million in a few games.
-
I love the spirit, and have mained her since she came out. When everyone said she sucked. I suck at nurse, and oni seems fun to play but small sample size. Only a couple games with him.
-
I think it is pretty balanced now. It can suck at the end game when perhaps you tunnel to secure a kill, but more than likely you were losing anyhow if doors were opened and someone else was alive to save them.
-
@Raptorrotas said:
Didnt survivors shift the focus from hiding to looping themselves?
That's what I see as a killer. When I play survivor I play claudette because she was my first main. I am learning survivor and suck at looping. But I gen jockey, save and heal. Just prefer to stealth if I can to avoid being downed in 30 seconds.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Claudette P3 didn't use stealth. She used camouflage. There's a difference between the two. Stealth is actually hiding from something. Camouflage is trying to blend in with your surroundings.
Sorry, but I don't find any skill in just equipping ridiculously dark clothes, squatting in the nearest patch of grass and then calling it 'stealth', when I can actually stealth perfectly fine with Claudette when wearing the glossy, glittering, glow-in-the-dark white dress on her by actually staying out of the killer's direct line of sight:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/903/D3Y4CHWGYLOZ.png
You can't get much more obvious than that. Yet I stealth just fine without even the aid of stealth perks like Urban Evasion or Fixated or Quick & Quiet. It's almost like there's more to stealth than just putting on dark clothes.
What rank are these Claudette just sitting in a bush. I never see them as red/purple killer. I see Claudettes the will fully loop you, gen jockey, and stealth. Maybe Im missing these bushettes.

@megaweenieman said:
Idk how accurate this is but if it’s true, hell yeah! ######### blendettes 😀
Yet people complain about getting looped for 5 genny's.

The DC penalty will only go live on platforms with dedicated servers. So, PC and Switch right now.
The basement hook bug is ongoing on all platforms, as far as I'm aware.
Thanks

There are potatoes, yes. But perks and add ons aren't needed against them. Bring them for the strong survivors.
I don't even use ruin until purple ranks. But I have been playing survivor to learn that side and enjoy playing with friends. And I see rank 16 killers running ruin, bbq and pink add ons. Why at 16?
-
I have seen a lot of them camping with his power. Almost guaranties the survivor goes to 2nd stage when played this way. Not fun. I could see potential, just hope he is not the newest camper.

It may have to do with some of the tome challenges specifically requiring the use of the basement.
Yes I hope so. It is just funny how the seem to correlate with the bug.
-
Plz bring it back. Signed
-
Thanks. This is a strong advantage for the killer, and it makes it not fun to play survivor at the moment with all the iron grasp and agitation I see.
-
Basement bug is horrible. Now I see all killers running agitation.
-
Is this on all platforms?
-
That's what they said about spirit when she came out.
-
DS needs a buff! I never have a problem when playing killer with DS. But I don't tunnel at all now that I play survivor and understand how frustrating it can be. It is fine as is.

Except you have a really strong game... kill one survivor and everyone else is death hook. You have a three gen going on and are pressuring them hard and then they all escape for free with a key..
Mori's and keys are both very powerful.. they need touched a bit. For instance both purple and red key shouldn't open hatch only red key. Give purple extra seconds of use or something. Also they should be much harder to find. I found 3 in one game with pluderers....
Yes that would be the exception to the rule. It just doesn't seem to happen all that often. I have had maybe one game when more than two survivors escaped through the hatch.

When it comes to being looped, the smartest thing to do is to break off and go after the weakest link. The faster a killer gets rid of the poor loopers, the easier it will be for them to get the pro looper.
Sure, it sucks for the weak link, but hey, I want some kills and blood points.
As far as “fun” goes, it’s very subjective. Some players have fun tunneling, some have fun camping, others have fun chasing. I have fun tunneling and camping a flashlight clicking, t-bagging looper than winning the match. If I can’t catch them, I’ll resort to camping until I catch the t-bagger. Even more fun is when they make a stupid mistake and die first. Then I’ll just harass their teammates a bit and let them win. I’ll down them, smack the gen while holding them and then drop them to give them the message that I want them to do gens.
I can understand that when dealing with toxic players. And fun is subjective. Good points.
-
Also isn't that what is fun about killer, the thrill of the chase, the battle of 4 vs 1. Just camping a guy to death, not as hard nor exciting

Not every match will be fun for every player. I used to exclusively play survivor, but when I got my Blendette to level 50 at prestige II, I dipped my toes in to the killers side. And yes, I can see how camping is not fun, but it is not fun when survivors gen rush, run loops across the whole map, or just hide for the entire map.
The fact of the matter is, rather than accepting that a player is going to lose, they would rather come to the forums and whine about it in hopes the devs would change the game to make it easier and more fun for them, but more boring and difficult to their opponents.
It's funny, I was the opposite. Made to Rank 1 as killer and wanted to get good at survivor seeing how good many players were.
Looping was always frustrating as killer, that was what made me want to achieve said skill. I am bad at it. But it is a survival tactic, which without the survivor will go down in seconds and killer wins.
Gen rushing is up to us as killers to control or combat. Using strategies and viable perks we have a lot of say in survivors success at gen rushing, which is really just doing a genny and not being interrupted by killer.
-
@AvisDeene said:
Um, camping and tunneling are legit strategies, I don’t know where you got the idea that they’re illegal. Just because it makes survivors butthurt doesn’t make it illegal.
They are legit strategies, but they are not fun strategies. I know you don't have to care about the others fun, but there must be a reason for the "did you have fun" election on PS4.
I may depend on how you Identify in this game and if you play both sides
-
I don't see why everyone compares keys to mori. If you lose 4 survivors to the hatch that means they did 5 gennys anyway. But if you hook one person camp and tunnel with a mori they are out of the game and lose a pip.
If one or two escape who really cares, just start a new game right? You still got points and probably black pip at least. And killer can still close the hatch if they were not all together at the time.
I see the instaheals as more comparable to the mori. They were nerfed so should the red mori.
-
yeah it's the same as slugging for the 4k. Killer trying to kill, survivors want at least one to get out. I prefer to hook the 3k and see who gets the hatch first. Killers tend to have the advantage as they are faster, covering more ground, and not worried about being killed.

Insurance. Plus, it's fun to get messaged about using NOED when there are 3 gens left.
Each their own, I just don't like to play for salt. People text you when the perk doesn't even activate?

Eh, I run Ruin and NOED on Spirit sometimes, it's fun.
Ruin and noed on Spirit....what the heck.. bring a tank to a knife fight. Probably running prayer beads and wondering how you got so good. Spirit doesn't need either but at least pick one. Slow it down early or late game build.
-
Camping and tunneling are not fun to go against. New killers do it out of inexperience and seems higher ranks do it in an attempt to pip. It just sucks to go against. I don't tunnel now that I play survivor because I know how unfun it is and I play less sweaty. Plus it often happens to me as survivor because I am a weak looper, so the killer can see that and they tunnel me because they can't catch my friends.
-
I don't get spamming a Mori, I guess just toxicity.
-
Also a lot of people are not ranking up. My daughter just bought the game and played as a rank 20 with two triple prestige rank 17's. I suspect a lot of people are choosing to not rank up. Also she played a killer Myers with tier 3 ruin and bbq. And she claimed it wasn't smurfing, she just plays a lot of survivor and knew how to predict. Cmon man!
-
I try hard not to tunnel and I never camp. It just feels bad when you follow these rules then get BM'd. I mean if I go out of my way to run around you and go for the unhooker or see you quickly after unhook and turn around and look for someone else. Maybe show some respect back, which a lot do.
-
Please Don't Remove!!
-
Actually just started survivor, been a killer main for year and a half. Just want to git gud at survivor like the red ranks I have to face daily.
-
Maybe try not to camp and tunnel and you get legit GG's
-
Yeah his power looks pretty good. That one hit down could be game changer for him. We know his speed yet?
-
What is happening with BL, I missed it
