Yeah it would be nice if we could combine them. At least you would have more control over gen regressing. I guess we will have to see how fast they actually regress.
You think this will increase tunneling. At least to get that first guy out of the game?
-
I hear you. It's just one man's opinion. But that is what I think their end goal will be.
It started when they changed emblems and emphasized hook actions but killed us with that gatekeeper emblem. Now they going change gatekeeper so we can still pip.
If they do this why not make it basekit for all killers. If you're not working on gennys than they are regressing. At least so we can still use pop and such to go with it.
-
I'm thinking long term plan is get the kill rate to about 25 percent. Having killers spend the game hooking and chasing survivors from gennys until the inevitable door opening and all leave.
They will rework killer emblems so we still rank up this way and not so kill reliant. It's what they have been trying to do for some time now.

No it wont because they will still pop the totem in 30 seconds anyway.
i hear you. It was rare you get Ruin for more than 30 seconds anyway.
-
Wait your saying with new ruin we can't use pop until Ruin is destroyed? Is that what I am hearing.
-
I think this is a great change, since I recently switched to survivor anyway. But either case gens will be constantly regressing. Now when you chase someone off a genny it will instantly start regressing, no longer wasting time to kick it.
It will get stronger as the game goes on, and if survivors decide to wait to do the hex than it sets up a possible 3 gen with the hex contained within.

I'm not talking about not being able to switch them, I'm talking about pause/resume option being there for no reason, considering it does it automatically already when you switch between the challenges
Oh..I see. Thanks for clearing that up
-
I do it when I switch from survivor to killer. Can't heal 10 people if I'm hitting and hooking them.
It would suck not to be able to switch to killer tomes when playing killer.
-
I didn't know you could get out the exit doors without the booty dance.
You mean you can run right out after gates are open?
-
Crutch perk for new players. Accept you will lose from time to time and just open exit gates if you got your butt kicked.
Noed will make you a bad killer. You can pretty much tell a killer has it when he commits to chases he shouldn't, tunnels 1 or 2 people all game, 0 gen pressure than bam noed.
I hate dying one first hook after getting hit 1x all game. And he face camping and shacking his head like he did something amazing.
-
I think the thought process is, if we slow down gennys a bit killers wouldn't feel the need to tunnel.
As of now with gennys getting done quickly getting a survivor out quickly is a necessity.
So fix gen speeds and killers may play less sweaty.
It's a theory anyway.
-
Sometimes if I complete a daily I may just let whoever's left live.
If you teabag you probably die. Everyone else lives.
-
Spirit BBQ and MAA to get close, get hooks and hits. Not playing sweaty during Double. No add-ons
-
I play on PS4 and it is a great time. Rarely do I see the same people. Come to the fog.
-
Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver. Oh yeah see those 4k piling up!
-
I play pretty normal because I can't stand farming. So boring to me. But I play cool killer with no Ruin during Double blood points and only use 1 perk. BBQ for the points. Also no tunneling not even hitting and downing the guy. Just run right by him towards the unhooker, if Im even around.
As survivor I play normal, do gens, saves, totems, get out. Don't understand why so many killers just tunnel during double bloodpoints. I know Im the weak link on the team, thanks for sticking with me friends. But cut me some slack and go chase my teammates so I can get those objective points.

I mean a lot of killer players have the mental fortitude of a 8 year old girl so that's possible
But not likely I don't think.
What does this even mean? And why would you even add gender into to equation?
I guess you are saying killers are immature. But are you also trying to imply girls are less mature than boys? Get with the times my friend and allow that all people are individuals and avoid hurtful stereotypes.

I do this only when I know there is a survivor nearby.
Just being funny.

Pretending to phase walk as Spirit. Not just at loops, but also after hooking Survivors. Granted, I’m a Rank 12 Killer, so if I start playing higher ranks it probably won’t work very well.
That's camping. Lol
-
3 v 1 is better then DL already. 3v1 in early game is just about guaranteed win for killer
-
Nope. When I play survivor I'm trying to survive and assist my team first.
As killer I'm going for that 4 stack and kills.
Tome is secondary to those priorities.

Devotion 7, Level 59. I'm disgusted with myself.
Disgusted? That's awesome!

Devotion 7 level 85 since August 2018. Mainly killer..the 85 is survivor.
-
I had no mercy when I mained killer for my first 18 months. I'd slaughter everyone ruthlessly. Bad luck..so sad here's a hook for you.
Since I have been playing survivor now the last few months and plan to continue that til I "got gud" my view has changed. I play less sweaty, never slug for the 4k, no tunneling, let people go. Unless bm ofcourse.
Play how you want. But people will appreciate if you cut them some slack when glitch screws them over.
-
As survivor I always send gg unless I was straight tunneled out of the game.
As killer I will send gg when I am impressed with survivors skill level.
-
First you need to have played both sides competitivly.
Second gen rush is just doing objectives unmolested. You don't pressure objectives they will be worked on.
Same can be said with tunneling and camping. They just affect 4 out of 5 players and it seems unfun and unfair.
I can't really loop as survivor so can't speak to that. But as killer if I can't get you quick I'm gonna go back to those gens because I know what your trying to do.
-
I hate to hear that. Working with the other side during a game you chose to que up in is disgraceful.
If you do this as killer you have now honor and can never complain against any of the supposed survivors rulebook.
You do this to teamates as survivor and you should just quit the game altogether.
You want want to play that side than choose that side before you ready up. You need easy games that bad?

I been enjoying killer a lot. Recently I've been playing Freddy with beast of prey, distressing, franklins, and BBQ for quick games, quick bloodpoints and quick rift progress.
Freddy is really good so it's not like he need ruin either and I've been doing quite well without it. I've had quite a few games where only one gen has been done and other games where gens were done really quick but in those cases I didn't really apply pressure all that well so I can't complain.
I love playing killer, even if it's a curbstomp. I love really getting into a difficult game, I feel my heart a pumping and I just have a big smile the whole time. I do have to take breaks now and then as I do get stressed if I play for too long but a quick meme game or two fixes it right up and I'm good to go again.
Be careful that doesn't fit with current meta opinion that "gen rush " is a thing.
Good for you for playing high ranks with no ruin.
-
It goes both ways. And not all swf are toxic. Plus c'mon with the moris already. Cant wait til those and keys are nerfed out of the game.
-
Yeah that was stupid play by survivors if completely accurate description. 3 escape is a win.
I hate when all survivors go down in a pile instead of leaving. Even when I'm saying get out they have noed.
But entitled may not be the word just silly and petty..they probably feel they made dumb plays and got salty.
-
C'mon now both sides can resistant to change. I suggested, for discussion, survivors get 2 minutes on hook regardless of hook actions and a lot of folks are like no.
But we want to add more for survivors to do?
Play the game as is and you will settle at the ranks you belong. When you get better you will move up.
-
But would decrease the supposed "gen rush"

@PistolTimb said:
Clown should sit on the hatch to close it
That is hilarious
-
No. We would still destroy newer survivors.
Maybe a few ranks back but not a 4 and an 18.
Besides Freddy should never be rank 18. He should start at 15 at least..lol
-
Red ranks are tough. I don't know how killers continue to que up for those games.
Good for you guys that can keep that up. But it is what made me switch to survivor because I want to be that good.
-
@Raccoon said:
This literally incentivizes and promotes camping - How else is the killer going to ensure that a survivor hangs the full 120s, especially at the start of the game (where camping can be a fun killer) when there are 3 people able to rotate out doing saves, each with 120s of guaranteed hook time until death?
It would also make the game straight-up unwinnable for killers @_@
Wowee Zowee
But would also increase hook rush and altruism providing killers chance to snowball as well.
No more waiting until last second to save.
-
@Hoodied said:
This math doesn't add up
2 minutes= 120 seconds
10+50=60= 1 minute
Did I mis-read the post?
Yes..then you would go to second stage
-
I have noticed a large increase in tunneling off the hook with many killers lately. I think it's all in your perspective. I prefer to challenge myself as killer and not take the low hanging fruit.
Others think #########...easy kill..but you will only get so good doing that and be really challenged by high rank survivors.
Tunneling might get you 2 kills, but can you say "damn I'm a great killer."
-
Yeah I love the spirit's mori. Oni is pretty awesome as well.

People with traps tend to not heal or go on gens. You know they'll go to the nearest box and you know they'll go down in one hit. Why wouldn't they go after you?
That's an honest answer. But it is unfun to go against and not my preferred strategy when playing killer.
But does confirm my thoughts that some Pig players do this as there primary strategy.

@IceCreamPrincess said:
The trap is still just a slow down tool tho, just cuz you have one on your head doesn't mesn you're not fair game. Yeah its not the best use of your time, but sometimes you need the added pressure of slugging the guy, or just rehooking them in order to kill them quickly
I guess. It's just when they straight tunnel you off the hook with the trap on that I mean. Sure you find me later and that's fair game. But you go out of your way chasing me and never let me even get to a box.
What's the point.
-
Only when playing killer. When I play survivor they take so damn long! Lol
-
Yeah I noticed a lot of GF doing it too.
That's what I thought the trap was for as well.

Firstly, hi and happy holidays, people.
Secondly, the reason for which I'm here: played with a killer who camped, we called them out in post-match chat, they said it was ok to camp because we "did 4 gens in 2 minutes".
The rant part of the post:
- I was playing with random people. I get a killer, Nurse, felt like she camped but I have a hard time judging when a nurse camps due to her blink power. Safe to say, she was always ready to jump in the unhooking area within 5 seconds. We only did 2 generators (will be important in a second).
- Moving on to the next match. This time, a Clown. The same person behind him though. Well, match starts, these new survivors that I got matched with and I are having a good match. We do a generator within a minute, move on to the second and someone gets hooked. I, having Kindred, can see that the killer is camping. So can the other survivors. Other 2 people try and get the rescue somehow, make an escape and we go onto generators again. Separate generators, I guess. At this point, I was doing one alone. I see one gen pop 5 seconds before I pop mine. Other 2 people were doing another one together, it seems, as the 4th gen of the match pops about 30 seconds later. At this point, someone gets hooked. Someone else. First hook. Killer camps. Me and other 2 survivors do the last gen together. It's done in no time. I go and open an exit gate so close to the killer that I had the heartbeat on (was faint though). Nothing. Killer stood and threw Aftertonics at the hooked survivor.
- Another thing that bothered me was that the killer said (in post-match chat) "easy", among other things. Honestly, if YOU see this, just because you hook 2 extra survivors (in endgame) who tried to save the one survivor you were camping, it doesn't mean it was easy. Me and the other survivor who tried the rescue could have just went out and you'd have been left staring at someone on a hook. Guessing that is easy to do though.
Now, killer mains, is there an unwritten rule about camping being ok when survivors are just good and do gens quickly? I was not aware.
Camping sux but most killers will tell you when gates are open all bets are off.
You should have left. 3 escape is a win in my book.
Did you have borrowed time? Protect the unhooker? You said gates were close. How did he get 2 more of you?
-
No I hate farming games..so boring and I don't need blood points.
Also can you call it a challenge if there was none?
I play for fun and to get better. Challenges are secondary to that.
-
Why can't we just get rid of both?
-
Do what you like, but camping can't be fun. Can it?
Why play if your altering your style just to avoid possible negative messages.
I never get negative messages on ps4 unless I completely wipe a team out. And that's kind of a positive because they complaining I killed them too quickly.
-
Noed is for noobs
-
If you tunnel someone you will be getting "gen rushed" by good survivors.
First off tunneling doesn't split pressure so all other survivors are free to do objectives.
Secondly if survivors see you are going to just tunnel, than they will do gens as quickly as possible and get out because they know it won't be a fun game.
