Why should i bother play with a killer, that is even at peak level not even close to freddy or others? Just let the best freddy player and the best pig player play 100 games and freddy will win more, it's easy as that. Until they don't rework her addons, i don't play her.
I don't really see how you 2 are comparing Freddy and pig. Pig delays player escapes and is a mostly stealth killer, Freddy teleports around the map trying to dream world people. Not really similar to me,

Ah well in that case clown might not be the best, if you ever consider public matches though always consider getting him.
Deathslinger is probably one of the most terrifying killers even to high tier players. His low TR is just the cherry on top. Though you do need good aim and prediction to be good with him.
If you're going for mainly KYF with your friends then piggy is a good choice IMO, stealth scares and pressure with the RBT is pretty fun.
See, my problem with Deathslinger, is that when I do actually play the game I get screamed at and abused. Not my cup of tea.

Yeah, I play Xbox, and I DO NOT face camp. Only time you'll see that is if they're outrageously toxic.

Unfortunately there is no killer that strikes the centre of "good perks, good and fun ability". Personally Id recommend clown, he's not good by any means, but he is pretty fun and comes with 2 amazing perks.
However if you play a killer reliant on BBQ (like freddy) then Id get LF. BBQ also gives BP so if you don't play many games a day this will help you get efficient BP gains.
I recently stopped playing Freddy, and have just been doing KYF, since I get all the perks, add-ons, and offerings to mess around with. Also since it fun to chase my terrified friend and listen to his screams.

Clown, although a weak killer, brings nice perks - bamboozle and pgtw.
Plague has great teachables too. I can also recommend michael myers.
Go with these, many of their perks are used in a variety of killer builds.
I'm kinda caught between leatherface, oni, and pig. Are any of those better than your picks, in terms of perks and powers?
-
Trapper: Enduring, Franklin's Demise, Discordance, Dark Devotion
Don't really have anything for survivor, since I hardly ever play them.

I changed the backstory to make a bit more sense.

Cenobites aren’t fused souls, unless I’m remembering that incorrectly. For example, Pinhead was a WW1 soldier with PTSD. Chatterer was a kid (Jim) who pinned his dad’s death on his mom. Etc. Lore wise I don’t know how that would make sense, as they only come to those who solve the lament configuration.
Personally, I don’t think we need another lame lore story like Pyramid Head. PH is a representation of James psyche (you could argue either his Id or Superego). PH was created with Freud’s psychoanalytic theory in mind, and is more about connecting James with his guilt, and in essence, helping him to process it.
Its also more of a pseudo Cenobite, meaning it doesn't necessarily require the Lament Configuration.

I wanted to do something unique that hasn't been done before. The Cenobites needed a good enforcer, and was forced to break some rules in order to do so.

Licensed DLC Characters are locked behind paywalls and this is fine since stronger alternatives are available through purchase with in game shards for killers and survivors themselves are essentially just skins. The real problem at play here is those characters perks. Decisive strike is a full 60 seconds of invulnerability for any survivor off of a hook, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Barbecue and Chili doubles the speed at which you can level up characters and is one of the best information perks in the game, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Save The Best For Last Demogorgen's best perk, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Surveillance a huge bonus for any Pyramid Head player, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Make your choice one of the best perk additions for the Wraith and Freddy, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Of course you can win without any of these perks but that's not the issue, no pay to win game lets you buy automatic wins, they let you buy advantages which these perks clearly are. Now you may say that the shrine of secrets is the answer to my problem but it is nothing but a faulty bandage on a gaping wound. Decisive Strike has shown up 11 times on the shrine, Barbecue and Chili has shown up 4 times, Save The Best For Last 10, Surveillance 4, Make Your Choice 5, and I wont go on to mention how some of the DLC perks from as old as Demogorgen haven't even been listed in the shrine yet. You ask players who do not wish to pay for killers or survivors they don't want to wait for an unlisted amount of time till their perks are purchasable with shards, this is the same thing Battlefront 2 did. Make players grind for months for the chance to get the more powerful tools while others can just pay to get it immediately. All perks should be purchasable for Iridescent Shards and shouldn't be locked behind a pay/wait wall.
Perks don't always matter. You say yourself that they are the main "pay-to-win" feature, despite how annoying they are, you can still beat them. Decisive Strike, even if you pay 5 dollars, that's still no guaranteed victory.

Depends, is it a Great Old One or is it just some random creature? A Great Old One would definetely resist the Entity and wouldn't fit into the game as most of them have world-ending powers.
A random creature, still freaky looking and Lovecraftian though.

Honestly, his power seems alright aside from what you mean by Madness (I assume it's the same as Doctor's but since it seems to only last for a short duration, how strong is said madness). I feel like it becomes a bit too complex in places, like having a teleport AND madness AND a huge lunge AND a ranged attack as well. Honestly, some of those need to be ultra rares or just cut off from the power, since otherwise it's a bit bloated.
Now for his perks
Yibb: Hey, we have Forced Penance. This is basically forced penance but different. It's fine.
Mordiggian: Seems niche but would be fun on a stealth killer, actually, if it's a set radius that's constant (i.e not their terror radius), since that could make it hard to see like a crouched Ghostface or Pig.
Broken Ocean: Fun but potentially dangerous. Would probably need to be like a second long breaking animation instead of just making it instant.
Thanks for your insight! I just want to say the madness does not go away after some time. Say, a survivor triggers eyes of Cthulhu, they get tier one of madness. They do it again, they move to tier 2, etc. Then they can snap out of it like with the doctor. The ranged attack is also very circumstantial, since he has to pick up the remains of pallets to use it.

Hatch shouldn't go (for use by keys that is), but the whole hatch opening for last survivor & Endgame Collapse process should. Tru3ta1ent had a good idea before where once there is only one survivor left, a timer begins automatically. During this time, the survivors position is intermittently revealed to the killer (through auras or something) & they must kill the survivor before the time runs out. If the survivor lasts long enough, the exit gates would open up & they would be able to run out if they can make it before being downed. Something similar to this would actually make getting the 4K a bit more interactive rather than having to slug & search for several minutes. Survivors also wouldn't be able to DC tech to give each other hatch. Seems fair to me for a solution.
That is a very good idea

A Lovecraftian character could work. A Cult Leader who had fully given himself over to his Gods, thus being transformed in their image. Upon being snatched up by the Entity he finds A new God to worship and serve. The Survivor could be a lost Sailor on the edge of madness from his experiences with Lovecraftian horrors, but still anchored firmly in reality to prevent him from succumbing.
I love the survivor idea!

Really, I think some sort of all-powerfulesque..creature, could be in the game. Hell, I think if Pennywise was in the game it would be like him showing up as a vacation away from all those kids at dairy, just like "Yo what's up? Got some nice Scared Meat too spare?" It would also explain why he/IT would be slightly weaker, less of choice more of just not in his domain.
Interesting take

This is a example of how a Lovecraftian killer could work.
@Chromeskull said:
Backstory: Dr Joseph Wake was not a bad person. He was a unlucky one. Obsessed with H.P Lovecraft and his creatures, he would draw sketches of them, see them in his dream, and saw them as our dark saviour. One day on his drive home from the university, he was caught in a car accident inflicting him with bipolar. Left with nothing but his dark gods, he turned to them, and his dark gods told him to kill, to inflict their pain on those that imprisoned him. He became a serial killer, leaving his mark on everybody he killed. With each kill, with each sacrifice, a bit of his humanity was snipped away, until he was nothing but a vessel of pain and judgement. He died in a police shootout, praying to the Great Old Ones for guidance, and the Entity answered. As blood left his body, the fog reached for him, and the hard concrete of the ground and the squeals and roars of sirens and gunshots was replaced with dust and screeching crows. Rising from the ground, his flesh erupted, becoming dark green and scaly, tentacles ripping from his flesh and his eyes glowing a deep red. He was covered with a cloak, and then silence fell.
Whip claw: The Waker's main weapon is his mesh of tentacles in his right arm.
Eyes of Cthulhu: The Waker has a series of portals placed around the map for him to transport through. These work very similar to Demogorgon portals, yet with the twist they can be dismantled easily with special totems. These portals can only be used once, before they teleport to another part of the map after 30 seconds. Survivors that walk over these portals suffer from Madness and oblivious until they snap out of it.
Sebek's Wrath: The Waker can temporarily be possessed by the crocodile god Sebek to fly into a feral rage, lunging forward as his arms unravel into dozens of tendrils, each tipped with a single spine, all spinning like a wheel. With his arms spinning nests of sharp tendrils, he will dash forward, in a combination of Oni's demon dash and the Demogorgon's shred. Hitting survivors also inflicts them with madness.
Shagtanagotha: The Waker can pick up the shards of destroyed pallets and have them float around him. When these float around him, Sebek's Wrath is replaced with the ability to launch these shard in a powerful fan of blades.
Appearance: The Waker had extremely dark and rough blue/green skin, and wears a black robe around his body. His left arm has long, sharp talons on it, while his right is bundle of navy blue tendrils, loosely formed to make an arm. A hood obscures most of his face, but dozens of tendrils make up his lower face, while his upper face is completely hidden in shadow.

FNaF really isn't a kids game at its core. You can't really say it is either.
What made it good was the suspense and panic. The jumpscares are really only a small part of the experience. When you are in a game of FNaF, your goal is to keep them away with the means at your disposal, against increasingly more difficult enemies. As you progress, you become frantic, dreading what they would do when they catch you... Same with the other franchises. Halloween is the best example of a killer that provides the same experience: A slowly approaching evil, a battle of attrition, and Laurie escapes by the skin of her teeth.
And people have grown up with the franchise. I was 14 when the original came out, but it is still going strong. There are adult fans out there, despite your claim to the contrary.
And there are people who have grown up watching horror since they were 5. There are children who have watched the entirety of Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Saw franchises, and many more. Horror is only scary when you don't oversaturate it.
Thank you for saying this, but prepare for everyone to get very, very angry. I've said this before, and it did not go down well.

FNAF is much disliked by a huge portion of the DBD community for WHATEVER REASON they are valid.
You can like FNAF and make suggestions all you want, but if you do it in a public place, be prepared for as much backlash as butt kissing.
I agree with you completely. Aside from the slightly demeaning start.
Yet your point is that everyone has their own opinions, that I agree with, and I was ready for backlash, but other people wouldn't let me have an opinion. You don't have to go crazy about it, but you can just say you're not a fan of FNAF and focus on everything other than the story.
-
@Raccaine said:
Sorta depends? Lovecraftian in design would probably be fine, but in power level in-lore it'd probably be jarring, since the Entity kinda serves as the eldritch horror of the game and having something actively rival it would be difficult to write and a very, very noticeable outlier in the Killer roster.
I think it would be interesting if a cultist who believed in the Cthulhu Mythos was added.
-
@handfulofrain said:
Yes, but nothing cosmic/godly like Cthulhu or Dagon. Logically, they're eternal interdimensional beings who are most likely more powerful than the entity itself.
However, I can't remember who it was but someone on the forums recommended a Fishperson from the Innsmouth story and I think that would be awesome. They could maybe even do a Creature of the Black Lagoon legedary for him (in my dreams).
Yeah, nothing godly. Its the same reason Pennywise can't be a killer.

I would like to point out that aside from the title, I am not straight up saying to remove them, or that some people use and deserve them. What I am saying when survivors who do nothing but sit on the hatch until it opens solely for free bloodpoints get a free escape. Maybe survivors who have fixed 2 or more gens or at least participated in chases and saving other survivors will be able to open hatch.

Some of the few times I've managed to get a 4k forced me to run NOED and mori, which made me feel pretty dirty, and also forced my to camp the hatch which reduced everyone's enjoyment of the match.
In your OP post, unless you worded it with a different meaning.
No it wasn't that. I did not camp any survivor- I had to make a mad rush to the hatch as soon as I hooked the last survior.
-
@FattiePoobum said:
There should be 2 hatches
wait hear me out
There should be 2 hatches, 1 lets the survivor escape , the other leads the survivor to be hooked in the basement, the survivor dosnt know which is which, so you have a 50/50 chance of escaping.
This will mean having a key doesn't mean an automatic escape.
Interesting concept. Of course to some degree that could be more annoying, since he got away because of luck, but it would be super satisfying for someone to try and get an easy escape and instead get hooked- I honestly don't know where I stand in this case.

According to one of the devs the hatch has its spot picked out at the start of the match, it is simply invisible until the conditions are met for it to spawn, but its spawn location was already picked during the loading screen. Either way, you can't camp the hatch if you don't know where it is, this would at the very least make it a big gamble to let your final teammate die instead of a last desperate attempt to finish the gens.
Alright, that's a step in the right condition.
-

Did you not read the part where I said hatch should be HIDDEN until it is opened?
Oh right. But this is still assuming it does move around the map randomly so no one knows where it is.
-
@HollowsGrief said:
It should only spawn when all 5 gens are done or only a single survivor is left alive, it should be hidden all game long otherwise. Also put a timer on using a key on the hatch, boom balanced just like that.
Again, this still doesn't change the problem. Again, someone can camp hatch and do nothing all game while geting carried then escape. This doesn't help all that much.

People always want to say that it is the survivor who did nothign who gets hatch, but that's not always the case.
And trust me, it's even more annoying when you get a sweaty killer who slugs because they want the 4k. Like...it's a game. Just hook. Who cares about a 4k? it's not that serious and to make someone sit and wait on the ground for 2minutes because you are a sweat bag is silly.
Yeah, but that is the problem. It is just a fun game, so when one survivor camps its not fun for anyone. Its the same for killers though, so I'm not discriminating. I also know that it is not only survivor who did nothing, but maybe the hatch gets unlocked after the last survivor has done 2 gens or something.
