#1 is easily better. Less bulky/busy-looking and more humanoid. Still can't prevent myself for feeling like they both are too much for a relatively grounded game such as DBD.

Yeah older killers need an update. Trapper is the poster child for the game and i barely see him in game. Moris need an update too
His short mori is optimal gameplay-wise, though.

so basically no one's going to be playing him on controller still, got it.
Controller will never an optimal device for games requiring manual aim.
-
He has a passive effect. Killers with passive effects/Undetectable tend to have high kill rate across low/average ranks.
-
Hallelujah. Only took a whole decade. Next step; Play while you wait for 1v4.
-
They'll still compete with keys for the worst-item-in-the-game spot.
-
Big and well deserved hit to EndFury. Hopefully Dissolution gets a similar treatment soon. Perks like this should not be this easy to pull off.

The first new chapter/mid-chapter I might actually buy.
There looks like a lot of effort was put into this. Tentatively excited!
You don't have to buy it, lol. It's original.

Honestly I'm kinda split on the idea of a 4.4 m/s Blight, as I think it'd be interesting to see, but every time I see the suggestion it's almost always followed by something like "also, make Blight's power go on cooldown when he breaks a pallet". Like alright, we're just trying to nuke the killer from orbit at that point.
No we aren't.
-
If you're a patient man I'd say you should hold on as much as possible until the anniversary (maybe) or halloween (surely) event where all original characters will be 50% off.

We appreciate that players found the previous audio / vo iconic, with the addition voicelines it was no longer possible - we kept the original scare scream audio in the files as an easter egg of sorts but have increased the chance of it playing during the game. We are not going to move away from the latest voice lines however.
with the addition voicelines it was no longer possible
Can we know why? Most licensed characters in this game have a different VA for grunts and for voicelines.

It would be nice to not see prestige 100 killer when I'm mediocre survivor player on a good day. But i worry about the queue times.
I've got news for you, the vast majority of P100 killers also are mediocre at best.
-
If by "now" you mean the past 4 years then yes indeed.
-
You're giving too much credit to BHVR codemonkeys. They wouldn't be able to come up with such thing even if they tried to. The matchmaking simply is ultra loose by default.

@darthsolo21 said:
BHVR please revert the screams back to the old Jonathan voice actors, his were so much better. Keep the voice lines
That's really what they should have done for all of them. It's not even like characters in DBD with two different voice actors - one for grunts another for voice lines is anything new.
-
You issue. No offense. It's the same it's been for years now.
-
This company doesn't know what the verb "polishing" means. We still have PS2-level textures for generators after a decade.
-
Everything killer-related is wonky to use on console/controller.
-
DBD is the one and only game where the auto aim feature makes you miss more often than it makes you hit. Those devs truly are a different breed.
-
Clearly, they need to skip one or two more chapters.
-
First-person games will never be easy/smooth on controller. Never.

What's wrong with her?
Have you tried reading OP's post?
-
So Nancy got double punishment, heh? Rough.
-
Demo not receiving an ounce of attention is cray-cray. Guess they need another skipped chapter.
-
They did plenty of map changes in 2025. Unfortunately so, considering the results.
-
I'd rather see those maps get fixed.

The lundge after her blink could be made shorter, so she has to be more precise.
Just rework the addon for it. Base range is fine imo.
Slightly higher cooldown is fine, but I wouldn't touch speed of her blink. That's something that can make her useless very quickly, especially if you also want to nerf her lunge…
I would personally just want to rework her lunge addon and make it so she can't see survivor aura while charging the blink.
Still find it hilarious that they felt the need to give her this ridiculous addon (as well as the purple teleport one) a few years ago when nerfing her (a bit) for the first time in years. They're so tonedeaf sometimes.
-
A year is nothing by this company's standards.

The top clown main Arinad talked about t his alot. Basically the old version of clown the speed up bottles were hard to use and didn't give as big of an impact as the slow bottles so people would often ignore them leading to a bunch of problems with it, so they made them easier to use and buffed them. Then they buffed them too much to the point that the slow bottles were useless and you instead only used slow bottles.
Then they tweaked the numbers slightly so the speedup bottles are a little better than they were, and the slowdown bottles are a little worse than before. Resulting in exactly what BHVR wanted, to make clown a little bit easier to play and give him a slight buff.
top clown main
He isn't even top 100.

3 releases per year the player base would get bored.
Not if it were accompanied by meaningful and positive balance changes to the game. Something that we barely did get in 2025.

2016-like thread.

Honestly, surprised that this hasn’t been done already. The amount of this would help Solo-Q would be huge.
It has been done in a more elegant and better suited way already. People are really forgetting what type of video game DBD is.
-
Too many to list but a replay feature would have been great. Be it for detecting potential cheaters or simply analyzing your gameplay or the ones of your teammates/opponents. More realistically, a "salvaging" system where items, offerings etc can be recycled into BPs and maybe shards as well. I know that such system was considered by the devs before the game even released in 2016 so it's surprising that it still isn't a thing.
-
His kit is just not interesting to play as (and against, for that matter). There indeed isn't much that can be done without reworking the killer from scratch. Compensating an overtuned M2 attack with a prop system on the map is simply not a thrilling design although it is kind of unique, admittedly.

as an Xbox player i can tell you this is not true.
Which multiplayer game has a PTB equivalent for its console versions? I vaguely remember R6 planning to before ending up cancelling it.
-
Public test servers have never been a thing on console for any multiplayer game yet, I'm pretty sure. Only PC has the proper infrastructure for it. So if they expand PTB it'll only be to EGS, which doesn't really matter.
-
Obviously if there's an issue when it comes to obtaining or keeping Natalia's likeness,
Knowing BHVR, this may actually have been an attempt to make her model look more accurate to Natalia, somehow. They almost always fumble the bag when it comes to model/portrait rework.
-
Again simple they can just quickly catch up since the hinder is ridiculous it even makes Clown blush who's main power is hinder
Not anymore.
-
Fog Vials should get fully reworked.

…Can you give more than one example of the devs doing this even semi recently?
I couldn't even give you any example at all unless we count abominations such as release Legion. Chucky was stupidly strong and got nerfed into a decently strong killer, HM got nothing but buffs, she's simply held back by the spaghetti code and Krasue is still a ridiculously strong killer against the vast majority of players. Meanwhile, a certain anime boy is still waiting for his well-deserved sizeable nerf.
-
Apple and orange comparison, I'm afraid. Chucky is a good spot right now in terms of strength and so is Myers.

Nerf tunneling and slugging.
(This will never happen even if they lose survivor players)
They literally nerfed tunneling a few weeks ago by increasing the unhook endurance and haste effect to 15 secs.
-
In true DBD's fashion, the "survivors spawn separately" offering also rarely ever works. Maybe by the end of 2028 they'll find a way to fix it.
-
It's been getting out of hand for years now. Still waiting on DBD to open the Stockholm server so that Frankfurt can finally catch a break.
-
Even their MMR system is spaghetti-coded. It's been almost a year since they confirmed an overhaul and we still have zero info about it.
-
Hook states UI on killer, challenges (quests) all being toggled on by default, facecamp meter being visible, PH addon rework, the while you wait feature... Ghoul being fun to play as, I guess… Hopefully BHVR reflected and learned from the huge blunder that 2025 was for the game, especially when the game's first decade anniversary is only six months away now and has been hyped up for a while by them.
-
Or maybe killer players on Asia servers are not as good…
-
Couldn't be sadder than 2025, in terms of DBD. Surely…
