honestly never understood why people call demogorgon a dog, he looks nothing like a dog. Maybe that's because of his pose where uses both legs and hands to stand, but that's still really far fetched
-
i'm not alien fan at all, but he looks cool, and ability i think would also be fun. Perfect if he could jump on trees and walls, but that's probably won't happen:(

FNAF isn't big in the way Alien or FXIII is big, or even close. These are iconic licenses. Alien (especially if we get Sigourney Weaver) is a monumental get.
FNAF my be a huge deal at Weenie Hut Jr., but it's small potatoes in the broader horror-sphere when compared to some of the others discussed here.
i'm not saying it's as big or iconic as Alien, even your desired Friday 13th is nothing compared to Alien, but FNAF is still iconic and recognizable. No reason to not call it License with big L

-
game is designed to be played with ping higher then average, look at bots and how difficult is it to chase them, because they have 0ms(also because they cant be outplayed, they always know what you're doing, but ping also plays role). Or look at videos on youtube where good survivors play with low ping. It's just impossible for the m1 killer to chase them.
-
Maps are huge part of problem, because some gens spawn so near each other, and we have "bottle neck" maps where it's just mandatory for the killer to camp one side and never go the another one. To make it worse, gen spawns never balanced for those maps, so you have like 5 gens on one side...

Yes to the first, no to the second.
Why? Have you played him on the ptb? He hit every tiny Pixel. It felt horrible.
Like Blight when he would either slide off everything or hit tiny stuff that was barely there. Upon release your hitbox was so small you phased through survivors which felt horrible too. Now it is OK.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3481619#Comment_3481619
Because it's so ez to remove as there are 12 charges and now you can tee it with you while having an item too.
Also removing it would massively nerf him as he would lose information and slowdown. All that is needed is that the infection is set to 1 charge and not 50 (of 100). You never chase someone the full 120s until a full infection anyway. If you get tunneled that long, the killer has lost at least 2 Gens.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3481621#Comment_3481621
Then nobody would cleanse. Therefore no.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3481261#Comment_3481261
Yes and no. Basekit Blight is OK, he has just 3 addons which are op.
That would be the same as saying Myers is OP, just because he has TS.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3481251#Comment_3481251
He is good in chase, just not so ez to use on many times. He is one of the Killer's with high skill ceiling.

He has always been popular because he is FUN and because the last 3 killers all... lack something to put it mildly.
>He has always been popular because he is FUN and because the last 3 killers all... lack something to put it mildly.
since wesker is 100% chase-focused killer, of course people will consider him fun, because chase is the most unique and engaging activity in the game. But definitely does not mean that last 3 killers are bad tho, Knight is amazing hybrid of being both strong in chase and from strategic point, skull merchant is... honestly after all reworks she's not that bad and even fun, atlhough not chase-focused that's why people wont consider her "fun". Same for singularity. It's not for no reason why we have so little pickrate on hag, plague,etc... Those killers make you actually think and adapt, not just abuse your muscle memory. But that's just subjective.

You also need to wait for the last survivor to be fully sacrificed as well, so even 99ing is a risk, cause you cant pop it immediately after the last player is hooked. 😒
low profile should work. Exit gates are opened ridiciously fast with sole survivor alone, not talking about wake up.

That hasn't always been the survivor meta. Update 6.1 literally happened because killers were sick of lack of variety over survivor perks. The meta used to be DS, DH, IW, SC, UB, give or take.
DH is still a meta, UB is still a meta, SC NEVER was a meta. DS got light nerf, it’s still viable perk, its only problem that there’s killers like nurse, blight, rin that catch up lost distance real quick. Iron will? Probably yes, nerf from 100% is obviously signifance. Anyway that doesn’t change the fact that you could’ve used adrenaline, sprint boost, unbreakable and borrowed time in 2016, return in the game 7 years after, and that will still be a meta build.
-
Voice lines are kinda point of the wesker and 80% reason for his popularity. I don’t get how you find them annoying. I main Chris for a really long time and always happy to hear his voice lines, specific voice lines even get me excited for upcoming game, wish there was specific in-game Chris voice line for Wesker, like Nic Cage lines for Sadako and Myers. Although I hate facing wesker, they always tend to tunnel me and specific voice lines are rarely triggered. This made me to adapt and now Wesker is probably my best killer in terms of chase, they even abandon me sometimes.
Anyway coming back to the topic, muting should definitely be an options, just like an ability to hear other survivors talk.
-
I will tunnel him to sent in the next match asap, maybe he will be lucky to meet more kind killer. I have no interest in helping in challenges, they’re called challenges not for nothing. Improve in different game aspects, learn something different to hiding in bushes and holding M1. Myself, never frustrated when I fail to complete challenge and can feel really proud of myself when manage to complete it. It’s not interesting to be basically carried.
-
Pinhead hoarder as obvious choose, extremely useful(although little nerfed with items rework) for pinhead, super useless for every other killer in the game.
-
You know what is boring? To play same 4 perks for 7 years. Time passes, but survivor meta stays the same-adrenaline, sprint boost, borrowed time(now basekit but still meta), unbreakable. It’s just stupid how survivor meta stayed the same for 7 years with minor changes, but you complain to killer meta which changes with every freaking patch.
Devs need to make major survivor meta shake up. Nerf all meta perks used by survivors for 7 years and sent them into graveyard, how they sent there killer perks with every patch. Pop, scourge hook pain res, call of brine, overcharge, eruption, hex ruin, thana are some examples of meta killer perks that got nerfed into oblivion. How many survivor meta perks got nerfed into oblivion? Zero? I can think of only CoH.
-
they should just make survivor items and offerings account-wide...

There are a number of guides available online for both survivors and killers to help improve gameplay and encourage a proactive playstyle.
However, it would be a good idea for DBD to perhaps make some video guides available from within the game so people can look at how to try out some techniques. Just for ease of practicality.
none games have that, i think it would be bad idea. They can make more "advancement" guides, where it's shows what should you do in different game situations, or against every killer. But if person wants to improve, he can easily do so on his own, especially if english is his native language. There's so many guides available.

Decided to give it one more try, and the very next match we had a teammate DC and the killer showed no mercy at all, and killed us at five gens. It's like, what was the point of even bringing a cake?
you have a lot of them so who cares, every games there's cake so doesn't really matter if you bring it or not. I saw comment on reddit saying "i tunnel people who dont bring cakes to make up for the lost bp" and it got hundreds of upvotes. So maybe you should bring them just to survive, lol.

I think random perk system will be fun to use. Just they should reward player for using it. Like 1,5x Xp and BP bonus whenever you use it.
yeeah, i will totally play with random perks if it'll let earn even more BP. They can also make some achievments for it as well.

@EmmaFrostyEyes said:
It lost the horror vibe when they started putting in non scary killers like for example the trickster, artist, skull merchant and giving survivors stupid shirtless cosmetics
"non-scary"? Trickster is the actual killer, his terror music composed from his victim screams. Of course you can say he's not scary because of his really bright look, but it's probably made for balance purposes, since he's ranged. Huntress is pretty bright killer as well.
Artist it's really subjective, first time i hear someone saying she's not scary.
Skull merchant? kinda yeah, this is worst killer design in the game, but she still creep out since her drone ability removes terror.

You’re asking how an aura reading perk can be OP? Aura reading is very powerful especially when it comes to the auras of the other players.
no it's not ,aura reading wont let you catch survivor who is good at this game and doesn't hide behind the bushes where killer 100% hits him if notices even without nowhere to hide. There are few aura perks at this game that give you advange, and only for certain killers. Like ghostface perk is op for nurse/pyramid, bbq is also op in the hands of blight and nurse, deadly pursuer is the only aura perk which can be considered S tier for every killer.
-
Dude it’s just aura perk, how can it be op? Doesn’t give you any adventage in chasing. This perk is fine, of course it’s broken in the hands of blight of nurse, but what’s not broken in their hands?
-
Trickster one is really strong, huntress iri makes you much better camper then bubba
-
yeah window closing IS NOT OP at all, for exposing surv you need bloodlust 1, which honestly spends a lot of time and you could down him for that time without it. I’m not saying about stupid new maps designs, like garden of joy main, where you can easily escape chase.
While I kinda hate events affecting gameplay in such boring way(it’s better then just afk invitation collecting, but BHVR, you could come up with something much more interesting then exposing survivor and placing another pallet), they are kinda balanced.
-
Bro what do you mean “nerf”? They just reverted it back, which they promised a long time ago. Only reason it was 5 seconds is because of endurance bug. I think DS is good as it is, people who consider it bad either loop really bad and just want practically second exhaust perk that lets them braindead shift+w or say arguments like “it’s useless against nurse and blight!” So, what’s not useless against nurse and blight?
-

Starting? In my opinion the Resident Evil survivors for the most part have bad reputations. Just like the Stranger Things survivors used to be routinely cited as being boosted. Only when the license was lost did the people who still play them become pretty good on average.
idk, honestly it's just Leon and Ada. Rebecca and Jill players are usually average or even high level, legendary skins are also usually good for obvious reasons. I don't really think license characters any different from originals.
Laurie is usually little below then averages.
Cheryl is definitely higher then average, although weird enough her legendaries tend to be worse players.
Ash is also usually higher then average.
Yoichi, Tapp and Quentin are quite rare, but i wouldn't say they're bad players, also average.
-
Borrowed time? i knew it was good, but didn't really use after it became basekit. But currently it's probably best anti-tunnel tool in the game.
-
Wesker is the worst killer in the game. No, he is powerful, but his ability is just frustrating, clunky, underdeveloped. It's really is "best design, worst implementation". Grabbing and throwing survivors is nice and pretty fun, but why his ability relies so much on "f" bugs? Rebound, urobound, changing throw side... Without them Wesker is just weak killer whose ability just doesn't work on half of the spots in the game. Oh, did i told you about his interaction with highgrounds? Half of highgrounds work with his ability, other half stops it. 1cm change in ground height may stop your ability and free already grabbed survivor. It's just stupid and no killer should work like that.
Sad BHVR probably will never change him because people for some reason really like buggy and underdeveloped killer.

I know right? Seriously, its like we cant get away from every single character being straight now...
Oh wait, did you forget thats also a sexual orientation? You dont have an issue with that though I'd imagine. God forbid gay people also get represented.
bro, most of the survs are not straight either. Most people who are against "representation for the sake of representation" are not toxic hetero who hate everything that is not not straight. We just don't care, and personally i don't think sexual orientation is needed in game where you just escape from the killer and there's zero dialogue.
Anyway you can headcanon everything you want, like people above convinced that Yui is lesbian, despite there being zero clue for this. Everything up to you, if orientation is something important for you. But stop asking devs to adjust everything for you. They have much more important things to adjust in this game.
(like "representation" for people who actually need it, i'll just remind you that gay david king appeared in game much earlier then colorblind mode and visual terror for deef)

new survivor is kinda cool, he got one of the best skins in the game, and his perks also OP af.
-
yeah so funny make survivor killing impossible because 4ppl running this perk and you never know who used this perk(btw i still don't get why killer can't see hook stages, if it's basically information he already has, but in more convenient form, but ok)
-
i like the idea, but realization sucks. Just down 4 survivors to win a game? dumb. But if they manage to rework it into something balanced, that'd be cool. Mori should be implemented into basekit somehow, considering how unique it is.
-
What about legendary skins? Claire seems so common, i see her really often for legendary skin.
-
I don’t want “killers” to become “hookers”
-
why not tho, teabags at exit gate gave me more kills then any perk, thanks to killers that can catch at gates(wesker, deathslinger) and BW.
-
This killer is dead since overheat addition, and if BHVR still didn't reversed it, seeing his extremely low pickrate and killrate, that means they just don't care.
-
this is really good update, they fixed biggest killer main complaints( healing being super fast, unfair second chance perk) and biggest survs compain(killers always playing with anti-genrush build, 3gen holding game hostage). Adding auto-bloodweb and removing flashlight interactions, things requested for a long, long time. And people still complain 😂. This community is indeed impossible to satisfy.

Eh, not really. I've got 5K and I'm still not even close to the most on my friends list for DBD.
You CAN win most of your games without tunneling. If you can't, then there are other aspects of your gameplay that you need to improve on, most likely.
i understand that you and your friends really like this game, but saying that 1000h isn't a lot just stupid and crazy.
Also at this point i think we need to specify what "win" means for you. For me it's sacrificing all 4 survs.
-

1000 hours isn't a lot of time in DBD.
It is a little cute that you think the MMR system works that well.
These "high mmr" players you claim to see? They probably aren't actually very good. It's likely that you just haven't quite gotten to their level yet.
Now, the competitive teams that I've had the pleasure of playing against in small tournaments, they've forced me to tunnel or proxy. That's at the literally highest end of DBD though, you won't find them often, if it all, in pubs.
1000 it's a lot time spent in a single videogame, if anyone says otherwise they're clearly not ok. if MMR system doesn't work, shouldn't they focus on fixing it so killers get matches which they can win without dirty strats?
-

Setting aside the 'no other choice but tunneling' crap since someone is already addressing that...
We already know that this exact argument does not work. At all.
They did this in 6.1. They added 10 extra seconds per generator base kit in addition to a host of other global killer buffs to reduce chase times. Even added base kit BT as an anti tunneling measure for icing on the cake, just in case.
Tunneling got worse. It always will when survivor objectives get longer to complete, because it's still easier to get one person out of the game than to juggle 4 survivors.
Stop pushing for a 'solution' that has already been tried and did the exact opposite of 'combatting tunneling'.
solution to tunneling it's not giving survivors 943141233123 seconds of endurance after unhook, it's just a buff to survivor. Also i will remind you 99% of time this endurance DOES NOT PREVENT TUNNELING, it's used by survivors to BODYBLOCK KILLER. And why not to tunnel survivor who boldly blocks you from giving a hit and chasing another survivor? It's his fault that he blocks you instead of running away, after all.
To reduce tunneling, killer should BENEFIT from not tunneling. Like basekit grim embrace. Right now it's not like killer gets any benefits for not tunneling/camping, except bloodpoints, but who cares.

@Pulsar said:

Most players are bad, yes, even those SWF's. You do not need to tunnel them.
Tunneling is easy, I get it. You just want to hop on and have fun, not actually try.
In some matches, yes, you will need to tunnel. Thankfully, those matches are few and far between. Most people use tunneling as a crutch for a lack of skill in other areas.
You don't get how mmr system works, most players are bad indeed, they're in low mmr zone which you wil leave soon enough. But after that you get matched against high mmr players who all spend at least 2-3 hours in game every day, hell i see people with more then 1000 hours in my every game.

It really isn't your only choice to win.
It's just the easiest way to win.
it really is, if you play against equal skill SWF. And if you say otherwise, then either you're survivor main trying to be salty, or game matches you against lower skill players.
-
No, it would. Right now if you want to win, your only choice is to tunnel and camp. NO OTHER OPTIONS, except if you nurse/blight and down 4 survs first minute of course.
But! if you increase objective timer, and there'd be option to not tunnel/camp and still get -4, i bet amount of those dirty tactics will be reduced. But of course you just can't remove it completely(except giving last hooked survivor imunnity to hooks, but that'd be too much).
