  • I hate facing againts Blights. I dont know why but that killer is something I cant dodge. I dont have problems with Nurses,Freddies and Ghosties because I know how to counter them most of the time but Blight is something I am inexperienced. I dont have many matches againts Blight and I dont play that killer maybe because of that reason I cant counter him. But I really dont like facing againts him.

  • Well Game map is one of the most argued map if you ask me. I play both sides and I hate that map whenever I play killer or survivor. While it is good as killer because you can travel fast around gens it is also bad due to pallets and as survivor while it is good for pallets and tight corners it is bad for fast accesses. That map is really complicated one.

  • Well some survivors have designed differently. Their sizes, normal breathing and injured breathing and I think there is even videos for that you can find. Jeff is largest and most loudy ones. No matter either he is injured or not he is always loud while Ace is always close to silent. I think that they add some flaour to the game. If you want a quiet survivor use Ace. Even injured that person is really quiet.

Other than that Iron will only negates the breathing and grunts of pain while injured so if you are not injured your survivor still have his heavy breathing and etc...

You can check that video that I sent you at the beginning you can see the survivors size, grunts and general voices.

  • Cage of atonement is the nerf of the DS. For hooking a person you must pick up the person which that survivor can use DS. Cage of atonement you did not pick the survivor so there is no DS. Also at some maps hook are really seperated or really far away and Cage of atonement was a solution for that as well. Beside skill checks of cage was never hard and same applies for hooks soon.

  • Just like mentioned We are gonna live forever from David will gave you tokens for each protection hits, safe hooks and save survivors from killers grasp. It is good for alturistic or boldness.

Prove Thyself from Dwight will while increase the gen speeds for each person it also gives you stackable BP for co-op actions. It is good for Objectives part.

Most of the time taking protection hit and healing people or save them from hooks give you quite an amount of points and that is why I use Empathy for that reason so that I can take protection hit for injured or heal them when they are safe. Great Skill checks from generators reward player 300 BP for each while healing great skill checks can reward you for 150 BP per which is quite nice.

Each pallet stun to killer will give you 1000BP which is quite good for chasing points.

Each protection hit will give you 300 BP each and making killer to chase you while he was chasing others will give you Distraction BP which is 250 BP for each which is nice.

I hope this will help you.

  • Well gens pop fast but it is not the gen speeds that are the problem it is the pressure that we cant do that due to map sizes and some limitation of the some killers map pressure abilities. Killers like Spirit,Nurse,Blight,Hilbilly and Freedy can pressure the gens due to their patrol speed. They are fast and most of the time they rely on their speed or powers. However killers like Deathslinger,Huntress and etc... are rely on their aim and they are mostly slower killer then average. Because of that reason at really big maps this killer without the proper perks can lose the match. Many killer faces that problem. Some maps are really big for some killers to pressure. Imagine Red Forest map, if you wanna go to other side in some matches before you reach that gen can pop which there is nothing you can do. Maps should be a little bit smaller and pressure problem will be fixed. If they increase gen speeds it will hurt the new player who barerly manage skill checks and it can affect them really bad.

  • I play both sides and I have rank 3 killer and rank 5 survivor. First of all I wanna clarify that SWF is not the problem at most of the situations. I wanna groups the SWF as my perspective

1- SWF with barerly use comms or use comms for small details-fun : This is my SWF group that I do. We do not known each other's perks. We dont know each other's location and sometimes and mostly we dont use comms at all. We dont burn offerings and etc... We just play our game as we see fit. Comms are not affect our gameplay and it does not affect our win-lose ratio

2- SWF with ultimate comms + information : This group is mostly the problem. They meet in secluded places to heal, they have perk synergies, one of them took Object Of Obsession sometimes to tell where the killer is to his friends. This group is the one that mostly ruined the experience for the killer. Yes they are not unbeatable but it is hard for some situations. This group selects the map, they know each others perks, locations and etc... I try to dodge that groups most of the time. I look at the lobby and if I suspect them ı just dodge but sometimes I faced againts them and I can understand them from their moves and I play my game for fun.

Overall SWF is good unless comms are abused. Because unlike solo at SWF people are not left behind and saving rates are much more greater at the EGC which makes the game more challenging and interesting for the both sides. However SWF groups that abuses informations by using 3rd party software to communicates is not a good experience for the killer and I can understand why many people are againts the SWF for that.

  • Ace in the Hole so that your items will have add-ons on them which makes them even more valuable.

  • Well if they made a different rank system and different gameplay option I would definitelly play that mode as well. Yes for the survivor it is gonna be more harder but being in a first person mode and then seen the Ghostface behind the wall or Myers at your back can be quiet hilarious. But it should be a different survivor mode where you will select and enter.

Not bad but also not good

This video is amazing btw. I watched it and I was like WOW. This is one of the reason why I support that idea.

I dont blame him for being not unique but like I dont get how anyone can look at tricksters power and think thats unique

I am not talking about his power. I am talking about his overall style. His power is def not unique.

  • @Friendly_Blendette said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2088469#Comment_2088469

This is not new or unique they took plague and huntress and splashed a little bit of slinger then called it a day

If you look at that way then each killer is copy of the others. I mean yes in logical they have similar mechanics but that does not mean it is not "unique". Trust me BHVR will worked many hours to make that killer even with the skeleton mechanics. I understand your point and yes it should be better killer but it is not and I cant blame them directly. We dont know what is happening at the company and etc... Moreover pandemic hit all the sectors and affecting the efficeny one way or another and we saw different examples of them for another companies and their games ( I dont know if naming the game is legal or not so I am gonna give example and just say 2077). So I am not gonna be harsh on them but they really need to work harder right now to close this gap. But at the end they did a damage.

  • Trickster is a really strange killer. He is the weakest right now but he is in a situation where "balancing" him would be a problem. Due to his power even small buff can make that guy strong which then people are gonna open threats like "Trickster OP after patch" and etc... Sadly because of this reason I think he is the worst designed killer( For the mechanic part) in the game. Yes BHVR tried something new, something unique but at the end it was disaster. I hope they will learn a lesson from this example which is much more important. I am not blaming them for Trickster because for many companies new is always hard and they tried something new. I hope that new killers will be much more better but sadly Trickster will be remembered by their "disaster".

  • Well maybe he was new. I can understand the difference between interaction of the crouch the communicate and the "teabag". Sometimes after many sweaty matches most of the killer players can be more unpatient. I play both sides and even sometimes due to some matches I can be quite angry due to some reasons like while try to use Ghostie as stealth killer one person bring Object and guess what they are all 4 SWF's and now everyone knows where you are great right. Even writing this example makes me angry. Imagine my match after that one and my behaviours to others. I mean yes it should not affect it but sometimes it is affecting then your anger decreased and remembering that it is just a game. Anyways for your situation maybe he has bad days, quite a lose streak or just misunderstood. If you know that your intention was good that's all. We are all players in this game and as human beings we should treat each other with respect. Due to a game we should not be fight to each other.

  • So you are saying 3 people use Delivarence. That means they were on their first hook phase which is not all 3 could be used it. For activating Deliverance they must make a safe hook rescue which 2 can do in your history. Maybe one of them saved by teammate or they got some slippery-meat + Vigors salty lips offerings. Do you have the screenshot of the end match? We can understand the situation better with this way.

  • There are many threads about this you can find in forum. While I am not a mod nor a BHVR worker I think founding of the key increased. I play both sides and I start to found key a lot or survivors find keys. Maybe it is intented feature from BHVR and maybe I am not sure but maybe keys are gonna be nerfed to something and that is why they are gonna be common at the chests. At least that is my idea.

  • Most of the time its survivors mistake. At the start of the match the game is survivor sided and after the game moves on tables turned to killer. At the start if the survivors choose not to do gens with strategic ways it is their fault that it will stay 3 gen situation where each of them are close to each other. If they have 4 survivors during that 3 gen situation they sometimes can get away with smart gameplay without losing any member. Most of the game relies of the survivor mistakes actually. Yes there is killer tactics and strategy but overall it is the survivors that will pay for their mistakes such as 3 gens.

Overall 3gen state is survivor mistake. I dont see many killer that just guards that 3 gens during the start of the matches.

  • Yep it is well known bug which they are gonna fix it soon I hope. There were many reports about that and for now there is nothing you can do but wait. I hope they will fix it soon. From my perspective I dont know why but especially at medium sized killers pallets working fine during my matches only tall ones got away with bug which is strange or maybe pure luck.

  • Also I can give you an advice that I used which sometimes work. I am using Second-Wind from Steve which lets me heal after being unhooked and wait 20 secs at tier 3. For activating that perk I need to fully heal somebody. I run Empathy so that I can find injured or take protection hits for them. After killer hook me and my Second-Wind is ready if the killer s camping and my survivor buddy saved me I need 20 secs. During that time me and my survivor buddy both injured and I am also broken due to perk. Killer starts chasing me I use DH to get a distance or save myself from sticky situation. After 20 secs pass I am now fully healed and killer that saw usually go to injured ones if they are close because now I am fully healed and I am not the weak chain. You can use that perk which is quiet nice.

  • I mean killers slug before the DS was not nerfed. DS is still a strong perk. After you get unhooked you can stall the killer for 60 secs which is quite a time waste for him. I play both sides and I am rank 5 survivor and rank 3 killer. For my survivors I never used DS and I never rely on it not before or after nerf. To be honest it is fine now I think, yes the nerf was harsh because after the all the oppurtunities with DS they all gone and that makes people unhappy but right now it is what it is. DS was supposed to use for anti-tunnell and now it truly is. There are better perks you can use or even more situational perks that you can use for DS. For example I am using Second-Wind from Steve which lets me fully heal after I did unhooked and wait 20 secs. It only requires you to fully heal somebody and that is why I use Empathy so that I can heal the injured ones or take protection hits for them. There are really other perks that you can rely on.

  • Well they were always there. New nerf does not increase nor decrease their rates. Some killers tunnells and camps and there is nothing you can do againts it. My advice take a small break like 2-3 days maybe more. Try to play with your friends if you are playing solo so that they will distract killer. If you dont have friends try to find good survivor mates from your matches and ask them to group with you or team up with them. Other than that if it starts to get you mad giving break is the best solution.

  • Well I am at same rank as you are and I know the pain. If you suspect that you are facing againts a group of survivor that is using comms then my advice is burn an offering which let's you know where the hatch is. Most of the survivors if they are friends will try to escape from hatch when the situation turns sticky. If you patrol the gens and does not see them even close that means it's time to check the hatch. Nowadays key founding at the chests are increased so you must be a little bit extra careful for the hatch. Moreover at some maps hatch locations are same all the time there are just some well known locations of that which can also help you. If they are not SWF or not using any comms well then I can only say that sometimes luck smiles to survivors sometimes luck smiles on you and there is nothing you can do againts it but saying "GG WP" to them.

  • What people dont understand is that not all SWF's are problem. Some of them that abuses comms are problems. I am playing with my friends and we barerly use comms and at most of the matches we dont use comms. Even if we use it our win rates not changed cause we do not tell each other where we are, what we are doing and where the killer is. Then there are other SWF groups that abuses the comms which are problem. I will give you an example for that:

--I was playing Ghostface and as you can imagine stealth is important for me. One of the survivor had the perk OOO(Object Of Obsession) and she told my location to all of his friends which they all escape cause there is nothing I can do againts 4 man that knows my exact locations. Even I managed to hang all of them 2 times.

Some of you will say this is not a valid example and I would tell them this. Imagine a killer and 4 man survivor. 1 survivor can see killer but she cannot tell others. And killer can see all 4 survivors exact locations and what they are doing. Imagine facing a killer like that would you play that game?

This kind of SWF groups are the problem in my opinion. I met with random people from my solo queques and we are entering with them sometimes as groups. We dont talk perks, killers and offering and etc... Everything is random yet still we won and even we use comms results are mostly same because we use comms for basic stuff like "Ohh it is X killer"," Ohh no we are in X map" , "Dude look at that cosmetic" and so forth.

People can play with their friends and that is fine. Only problem is some people abuses the oppurtunity of the comms and ruining the killer's gameplay just like my example I gave. If you can minimize the information and only playing your game with fairness SWF is really nice and I definitelly supprot that kinds of groups because this groups will fight armed to teeth for their friends unlike in solo where people left the others if the situation turned to sticky. If you abuses comms, meeting at the corner of the map where killer has no idea and normally you shouldnt meet in normal game cause you are not organized and etc... are bad for the killer side and that kind of SWF gain unfair advantage in my opinion and destroying the killer's gameplay. I can not tell how many matches I lost because I injured them all and they meet at a secret location where they all heal and they dont use the perks like Empathy and etc... just with comms.

Overall SWF is fine unless they really abuses the power of the comms to gain huge information which normally they should not be in their normal gameplay.

  • Huntress is gonna be nerfed and it is gonna be probably her Iri add-ons that will change. That is why many people start to use that add-ons just like people start to use Ebony Mori's before they got nerfed. I usually can dodge Huntress so her add-ons never bothered me but yeah it is a strong one which let's you one shot people. Well idk if skipping the match or let yourself to die is best solution because you got other teammates that are rely on you but it's your game your call. You will see many people are gonna use that add-ons due to nerf coming.

  • Agreed. Not many people like it but I found the perk quite useful. It saved me quite a lot.

  • Second Wind, Empathy, Dead Hard, Borrowed Time

  • Well I saw Nurse's and Hag's using Starstruck and I can say that it's not that huge deal. There are way worse conditions where we all played like unlimited tier 3 myers, ghostie that exposed you and etc... That perk is yes it is strong but it is not something like ""Ohh noo"" . If you are exposed you should be careful or hiding until the effect wears off. It is not a big deal scary perk. There are way more dangerous perks in that game that killer can use.

  • Did you check the perks of survivors. Sometimes survivors use Plunderer's Instinct to find keys and they do not bring keys due to not being tunneled by killers. I mean keys are quiet a problem but you can always dodge lobbies if they bring keys. For example I dodge lobbies whenever I see 2 or more toolboxes because they already did gens fast and I dont need more sweat. Do the lobby skip it will be better if you suspect they are gonna bring keys and you can always burn offerings for hatch spawns so that you will know where the hatch is which then you can protect it.

  • Well while I love the idea I dont understand the complain about the NOED. I barerly see people that uses NOED maybe in 100 matches like 1-2 people only uses NOED. When I play the survivor if I see a totem I will cleanse it. NOED is a perk that is punishing survivors for not cleaning totems which is kinda fair I think. Many survivors are complaining about NOED because they just wanted to rush gens and exit as fast as possible. When they hit by NOED they thought that game just turned due to one perk. It is a wrong perspective and that is why in some games NOED punishes survivor. Moreover as killer you can only bring 4 perks and by taking NOED you just give away your one free perk slot which maybe you are not even gonna use it because the game will finish early or all totems cleansed.

My point is NOED is fine. People should cleanse more totems that is all. It is not that popular perk among high ranks. Many people that learns to play the game stop using it and get better perks.

  • I use Second Wind and I am a rank 4 survivor. I usually play with my friends that are rank 1-3 and we mostly faced with killers between rank 1-3. Second-Wind, Empathy, BT and DH are my perks and I gotta say that Second-Wind saved my life thousands of times. While it requires you to heal someone it is also a great perk after you are unhooked. 20 seconds is no big deal if you know what you are doing and I am really sad to see that many people underestimate that perk.

Other than that his other 2 perks are meh for me. I dont find them that useful but Second-Wind is really life saver. Yes there are better perks but it is very situational and for that reason I love it.

  • Nope it's not. Sometimes that happens. When I was rank 5 I teamed with rank 16-18 so it's all about the game system and sadly it is not that balanced. Especially at night times many people wanted to play survs and solo survs can not find proper lobbies due to overpopulation. I hope with new MMR it is gonna be fixed.

  • To be honest I dont have. Maybe because I play both sides and know what Trapper is gonna do. He is not that scary and if you are really careful most of the time you can dodge his traps. However I got some killers that makes me jumpscare like Pig,Myers and Ghostie. That ones are the ones good at sneak and can scare me. Other than that Spirit is scaring me due to not understand if she is phasing or not.

  • We were playing with my friends againts a Nurse. We have 3 friends with no comms and one random Cherly and she got the nurse outfit. After only 2 person left one of them was Cherly bargain with the killer due to her nurse outfit and point the other survivor. To be honest it was toxic but I never laughed so hard when I was watching it. I know it is bad but at that time it was hilarious.

Anyway jokes beside it is unsportsmanlike so that person should be reported. It is no fun when you try to play your game normally and somebody just point you out. For the killer well he can punish that person but at the end damage was done and she gave your location. I hope you guys reported her.

  • Yes it is a bug. That happens a lot nowadays. Also there is another bug where the survivor eventhough dropped the pallet the killer still hits him/her. They are gonna fix it soon I hope.

  • Ohh that explains why I sometimes do not get a hit with windows and some people vault faster. I thought I was the paranoid and think that some survivors are faster at the windows without the proper perks. Glad I was not paranoid.

  • It happened to me once and I was playing Trapper and was new at the game. Rank system was as you can imagine so great that time it gave me some red-purple rank while I was yellow ranked. Moreover my internet turned to potato in that match at the late game and there was one Feng which she wanted to die at the end. I dont understand her point during that time but later at the chat that she revealed I was nice you know not camping, slugging and etc... and because of that she wanted to give me a kill.

Other than that it is as usual where people are rude, not nice, if they win it's "EZ NOOB", if they lose you are "TOXIC,CAMPER,SLUGGER and etc..." . To be honest sometimes I cant tolerate but a nice kind of groups that respect each other cheers my day.

  • Well I play both side and my rank is 4-5 at the killer and same for survivor. I mostly play killer if possible and my point is to enjoy my game. It does not mean I am gonna win or lose but for me it means game must be a fun for my side as well. When I play mostly what I faced is really experienced rank 1 survivors + swf with comms that just crush me or really low rank survivors that cant escape my chases and just die instantly. As you can imagine both sides are not enjoyable for me because game finished so fast without gaining nothing. To be honest I am really tired of facing againts the red rank survs cause when I play againts em I barerly get hooks and got no pressure and that is not fun for me. Maybe I will get better if I got more hours but it is not enjoyable when you only get 3-4 hooks and all gens are done in some maps with some killers. Same applies for low ranks because I just get em so fast it is no fun anymore and I dont know what to do.

Overall the thing is winning is not important for me but when I dont get the oppurtunity to play my killer then what is the point of playing the killer? That is the problem in DBD that survivors can play their survivors as they wanted but most of the killer cant play their killers as they wanted.

Good tactics are to break LoS, put objects in between you and Blight, take sharp corners, and try to make as much distance as possible to force him to use extra charges for his power. Short car loops are your best bet against Blight. He can't really use his power at loops like that, so he'll need to chase normally as an M1 killer in those scenarios. Blight really shines the most at T and L walls, shack, and jungle jims. Against a good Blight, it's very tricky to avoid him at these tiles, but what you can do is predict where he's gonna slam and try to juke and confuse him while you're right on top of him. It's kind of like getting really close to Billy and juking him while he's back revving. It's not a guarantee it will work, but it can throw them off and it can help with figuring out if he has any slam duration add ons. You can also Dead Hard into him while he's rushing towards you, you can hop in lockers because he can't check lockers while he's using his power.

I did my best to explain good tactics against Blight, and I hope I was helpful.

Thank you very much I will use that information :)

  • Ds is def nerfed. Any action that survivor took will deactive it which is a harsh nerf if you ask me. I never used DS during my survivor plays cause I dont want to rely on it but anytime the killer understand that we dont run DS he instantly started to tunnell. I play both side but mostly playing killer and I can say that yes there are huge problems with the previous DS but this should not be the nerf for that perk.

  • We are there dont worry just recently I am playing survivor more. Ghostie is the game let's stalk them till death. Ghostie is really my fav and main killer in that game due to his style and he can TEABAG which is I think better than everything else 😁. Sometimes however we need a break from Ghostie or being a killer and I am on my break now. Soon I shall stalk...

I'm just sad that there is no communication so we have no idea if he will be buffed in a hot fix or have to wait a month and a half for mid chapter or 6 months like poor blight

I know but eventhough they did made a promise sometimes they could not manage it. Dont get me wrong I am not defending them but I am in software sector and I know especially in an online games like DBD there will be always "problems". These problems are not easy to fix and needs serious works and experiences. I dont know what kind of support team BHVR running but depends of their numbers and availibilty changes will be happen. Sometimes a small bug that we see can be quite a problem for whole team due to general structure of the main code and its connections to other parts. So best bet is to wait and hope that it will be a short wait but since the Trickster is the main killer now they will fix him first.

  • He will def gonna be buffed. I mean many times when the killer or survivor first released there will be problems and even they just buffed the Wraith newly which is a late buff if you ask me. He seems fun to play however weak at certain ranks. My advice is just to wait. I mean I dont know how long but wait. Sooner or later they will buff him and I think that it is gonna be sooner.

  • I think he is better now. He can patrol gens faster and I dont find the uncloaking time that slow. I understand that you get used to his old style and that is why the new one you suffer some problems but it is my opinion that after some time you will even like him more than the previous version. I finally even get my adept Wraith thx to his new buff and I am rank 5 killer so imagine the survivors that I faced. Just new is hard and you are just struggle because it is not what you get used to but once you get to use it you will see that Wraith is now even more dangerous and more playebla.

  • Otz is my fav one. While I watch others as well Otz is the reason why I bought this game. I enjoy when I watched him.

  • People are toxic in real life let's face it. In an online game where nobody knows each other will give them the courage to be even more toxic. It is not survivor or killer, it's the people that are toxic. So it's pointless to finger one side and blame them for "destroying the game". If there is a destruction in the game it's both of the side that affects it. Game has different playstyle and different tactics, mechanics and etc... I dont agree some of them and I dont do them when I play survivor or killer but nor do judge others if they doing it. If the game let's you use the resources people will mostly use it. It is the responsibility of the Devs to fix them if it causes problem and it is "OUR" responsibility to finger that problems other than blaming each other.

I play both side and I enjoy both sides of the game but whenever I enter the community I always see that people are blaming each other, other side's powers and perks with the most rude ways. If there is a problem just point it out and try to make it understandable. Whenever I enter the topics it will turn into arguments which the main idea loses it's value because that topic will turn into just some arguments space. Please dont do that and if you have an idea or different point of view there are better ways to explain it.

First thing I'm gonna do tomorrow is get this on Myers. No way out, remember me, rancor and bloodwarden, with tombstone piece... Tier 2 all the way until the endgame and then a big surprise. If everything goes according to plan: I'll kill one with rancor, hook the second one for bloodwarden, pop tier 3, down the third one and mori the last one.

That is really evil. I love it and please if you manage it upload it. I really wanted to see that XD

  • Ace and Jane are quite a lot in the game I was suprised that they are that low at your list. Other than that it is quite right list.

  • It is not that great perk. Many survivor will hide in lockers or just simply do stealth. Blood Warden logic is something more different cause it is when exit gates are opened and you hanged somebody it will start and you can do some wicked things with that. This perk is more likely "ahh the door is locked so let's wait another 30-40 secs and hide" perk. Maybe in some situation that will be useful but overall not that great perk.

  • Some of the survivors when slugging close to the hooked person will directly go to the hook. Because there is a hanged person at the hook you can not pick-up the one that has been slugged to the hook. That is one exploit that I saw.

  • I think you must buy the lower ones first. In each web there can be only 1 teachable perk so unless you did not buy the previous one it will not get the new one.

Does kinda suck though that deliverance punishes you for getting found first AND last. If your found first its useless. If your found last its useless lol.

Sadly that is true. It is best suited for hook exhanges where you never hanged. Many people sadly do not understand the true logic of the hook exchanges sometimes. If you are not hooked and if all of your teammates at least hooked once you should take the hit and hook.

1 2 3 4 5 6 7
