Hey, I just wanna say, I remember using one of your drawings of Legion as a profile pic for my playstation 4 account nearly 7 years ago when I was still in High school. Only a couple DBD players asked where it was from and I told them you drew it, since I like your art alot.

Now that I'm older and know more about how artists creations are seen, was this bad form from me? I stopped using it because I felt guilty and it was only for a PS4 account when I was barely 17.

I think you mistook me with CuteC3, we are not the same person. I only start drawing DBD since mid 2021.

Alot of artists are okay when you ask them if you can use their art as your pfp.

This is absolutely fantastic! May I ask what you use to create your beautiful artwork? Been trying to get into ProCreate lately, but am struggling a little bit as digital art has never been my strong suit, I'm more of a sketcher 😂

I use ClipStudio for this one, and I've been using it for over a year. There are still alot of thing to learn the software.

As a Nea main, I like the way you draw Nea… that being said, I do like all of your art, but I love to see Nea drawn sometimes.
(Though I kind of feel like you are slowly converting me to a Yui main since Ive been playing her a lot more.)

    I drew alot of Nea

    image.png

Twitter only shows a limited number of post though when you search something though. You have to search Nea for each year (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024) to able to see all of them.

Searching tag would be: nea (from:C3_Tooth) until:2022-12-31 since:2022-01-01 (replace 2022 with other years, or replace nea with other character)

  • Unknown is really well design killer for me. Chase power isnt Nurse,Blight,Wesker level, but right just below them. It's teleport is instant, gives it ability to spread pressure well. We need killers that spread pressure better than raw chasing power.

Otherwise, I feel Devs keep making killers easier to play, not just general buffs, but also their powers. Freddy, Trapper….then even with many other killers just buffed (some needed but not Huntress, but still). And now its Twin, even Twin mains complain its too easy to play Twin.

    1) Survivor wins count as individual wins.

    2) This means the survivor escape rate and survivor win rate are both 40%.

    3) 40% is the intended escape rate, that BHVR directly told us they want the game to have.

Then 60% kill rate is intended by Devs, why complain 60% kill rate is not 60% win rate?

Suddenly 40% win rate matter as long as its on killer side?

Both sides brought the strongest stuff and were around the same skill level and resulted in what would normally be considered a tie. What is so wrong here? Looks like a balanced match to me.

Im not going to say someone does a grade 1 test having 90 score is smarter than someone else does a grade 12 test and have 30 score.

The effort between killer pulled and survivors team had to prepared were 10 times difference.

  • @Spare_Them_Mori_Me said:

The depth people get into this baffles me. People can set their own win/loss conditions, but they're just personal conditions. BHVR has their method. It sucks, but its there. I honestly wish they would change it, evolve the game a bit, and see how many problems melt away.

I truly feel their 'Kills vs escapes' system is what most of the issues players complain about arises from. Might be weird, but I think it would even fix tunneling lol.

2K count as lose on killer but 2 wins as survivor is a weird take for me.

First, if count survivors as a team:

    • 1K is a lose for killer. Win for survivors, means that one survivor still have to see that match as winning.
    • 2K is a tie, side A (survivors) and side B (killer) have the same score: 2
    • 3K is a win for killer. Lose for survivors, that one able to escape doesnt matter, because they lose.

Second, if count survivors escape as individual wins:

    • Those 2 survivors escaped still have their average win rate of 40% in general. Which still lose more than win.

The math counting "there are 4 survivors so their win rate is multiple by 4" is flawed in both the math and logic itself. Why should I see Dwight and Meg escaped as 2 wins for me while I died?

The map is very oddly designed. There is no point to ever visit the theatre as killer which is sad because it’s visually the coolest part of the map.

The map is way too big to ever bother patrolling that gen. It needs to be shrunk down and then spread the gens out more. Like the parking lot would be a good place for a gen but right now it’s just a throw for the killer to ever go there.

I feel its really sad for the main building play in recent years map.

For some reasons, old buildings offered alot of game play. Even the old Azarov resting place main that had 2 doors and 2-3 windows. Or old Thompson house that you can play hide a seek there. New Thompson doesnt offer much in game play.

Same to Eyrie, Garden, Theater...its mostly as killer you just ignore the Gen in main. They're too strong and far away from the other Gens to ever make chase, patrol there. Especially Garden main where god window right next to Gen. I dont think anyone ever run/make chase/mind game to the balcony or the back side of the house.

Compare the houses with basement between Badham (old design) and Lampkin :amd (new design). Badham offered more mind game and gameplay.

  • I just checked in custom game, Gens spawned like this.

Ignore Main Gen, killers cut down 40% of the map.

If anything, that's indicative of balance to me. Comp Blight playing for a win streak gets a draw against comp team playing their most broken loadouts. It's more a failure of matchmaking than anything else in my opinion. Why did it take nearly 2000 games for that Blight to be matched appropriately against survivors at their skill level? I feel like I'd want that happen more than once a year if I were a dev.

    • 4 best players play together
    • Knowing exact killer, and killer's build to plan strategy
    • They stacked 25 meta stuffs into their loadout.
    • Stream snipping

Just missing either one of those. I doubt the game would be 2K.

That kind of team does not exist in normal game. Comp Blight however. Easy to face one as survivor.

  • Its mostly how you place turret, try to make Alien cant huge the walls. Thats when survivors get extra distance. You suppose to leave Gen for 1 third Gen time to setup turret, or teammate will be downed quick. As survivor, only hope teammates setup turret for you.

    • Hit by UVX makes you Weaken, while being Weaken, hit again by it makes you lose health state. Just like Nemesis they he needs to whip you 3 times to down, but with long range. You can counter it by look at the killer for 4 or 5 times (decreased the status by 20-25% each time you look at, with a short cooldown for each success looking at the killer.
    • Killer drops Hallucination randomly, you can come next to it and disable. As you should because killer can teleport to it in an instant. You dont want killer to hook a teammate then instantly tele to your Gen across the map. You should only do this when killer busy with someone else.

Facts killers hands get held all the time then they come here to complain about losing. Imagine if survivor had a 2k win streak every perk would be disabled lol.

I think the buff on killers are fine (except Huntress).

What make survivors are so against killers' buffs are not the increased strength they get. But the foreseen of killers using that increased strength they got to tunnel easier.

I dont think killers in general should be nerfed, but tunneling should be the main focus now.

  • I know stream snipping is breaking the rule.

But a comp team, stacking full meta and strongest item/addon, PLUS stream snipping to make the match tie (at 2K) against comp Blight. Shows there is something wrong with balance.

It's literally the truth, I think you just need practice, respectfully. I play both sides so I know

The game is designed for survivors to down in a chase eventually. Thats why bloodlust 3 130% speed against 100% speed is a thing. Survivors last longer than they should, they need to down.

Survivors who last a chase longer than 1min is just killer’s skill isnt equal to their MMR.

For Op’s complaining. Killers can turn their games to their favor at anytime. Without requiring of perks: tunneling. Perkless Trapper still can tunnel. Survivors are losing have nothing to come back. Not talking about skill issue.

How manytimes you can turn 2 hooks 5 Gens done into 3K?

How manytimes you can turn 1 teammate death at 4 Gens remaining into 2 escape?

  • A team is greater without Invocation.

  • I really think that should come with basekit BT, no aura, no grunting, no foot step, no scratch mark.

Basekit BT isnt appeal killers to not tunnel unhooked survivors. Given "both survivors have 2 health states", 1 auto lose a health state after 10sec and 1 doesnt. And 1 get deep wound effect make it harder to run, 1 doesnt.

If 3 gens are don before the first hook, that a hint that killer's skill is lower than the survivors', and it's not necessary for survivors to keep doing gens that efficiently. But thats an advantageous situation I'd doubt they wanna give up just to be "nice&fair" to the opponent.

In any game any player would want to stay in the advantageous situation and press the advantage while they have it.

So why are we expecting killers to be the only ones to show empathy or slow down when survivors won't return the courtesy given the chance?

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9J7TPN1D30T9/image.png

I'd recommend stop treating the killer as some game master or referee and more like the direct opponent they are.

And a survivor can definitely still win at 5 gens. They can still hop in the hatch or walk out the gates.

I dont suggest killers to go mercy, if they try hard as possible, its up to them. I only explain why trying that hard cause mental illness to killers.

Peanits already said, no matter how killers play, they should success half of the time (60% kill rate), which either play Trapper no meta should have similar success to Blight stacking slowdowns and tunneling. Which I dont understand why people sweat so hard get similar results.

Side note: remember to credits who make the drawing you post.

  • @MaTtRoSiTy said:

I do think BHVR will need to start looking at solutions for tunnelling as it is getting a bit stupid now.

It is pretty much an easy win for anyone who will resort to this, as a 3v1 at 5 gens is pretty much unwinnable for survivors so you may as well just move on to the next match... which further rewards tunnelling.

I have empathy for others so I cant bring myself to play like this but there are plenty who have no empathy whatsoever and I do feel it is ruining the game experience for newer players who are easy targets for those who will resort to tunnelling at 5 gens

    @Raconteurminator said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3677955#Comment_3677955

If 3 people can't do a single gen before someone has been hooked 3 times, that's not a tunnelling issue.

If a survivor down twice before a Gen done, thats a hint that survivor's skill is lower than killer, and its not necessary for killer to tunnel to able to win.

Killers who tunnel against lower skill teams, are also those that complain about higher skill teams that finish 3-4 Gens before the first hook. You dont have empathy against weaker team, then dont ask for empathy from the stronger one.

The second point here is my main issue with it. It's overrated and mediocre at best on most killers but it makes the strongest killers even more oppressive. Yeah aura perks already existed, but they at least have some form of counter play where as UW doesn't.

This could also explain its relatively low pick rate. Only a small portion of the killers can use it but when they do it becomes an issue. It's like FTP/BU. Low pick rate because the vast majority can't use it but when they do it's an uncounterable game changer.

A Clown or Trapper with UW isn't a problem but Nurse with it on Midwich is an instant game over.

It should either be reworked into an info perk for slower killers without the Blindness or remove the info side and make it a Blindness perk. It doesn't need both effects.

I gave an idea before to make the perk benefit more for slow killers.

Make aura last for a certain time and disable the moment chase starts. So if Blight/Nurse stats chase within 2sec of aura, they dont get to use the remain aura time. While others get full aura reading. The ability to start chase faster for S tier is already an advantage. They dont need those remain aura of wall hack for a free hit.

  • Predrop pallets give alot more advantage to killers than survivors. Why do people complain 1 pallet down for each 5sec? While some survivor can loops 1 pallet for 30sec.

Buff brutal strength to punish predrop pallet. Means to make survivors not able to reach to another title to play but getting a hit. Would be the same to survivors make a good play to loops at a title for 1min but still get Brutal strength treatment and get hit before reaching to another title.

Brutal strength may need a side effect buff, given each kick saves 0.44sec, but not pure number.

Bruh, No Manual Reload? There's like 7 Seconds of Cooldown between each shot. Good Survivors can just stare him down so Weakness can go away in like 9 seconds. You have like 2 Seconds window hitting Good Survivors. You also can't control where you place his Hallucinations.

You also can't just go M2 every game, unlike the actual A tier Killers. He's low B tier.

Manual Reload: Huntress, Trickster, Clown, Slinger.

Killers without reload input: Nurse, Blight, Wesker, Spirit, Artist... their powers reloaded itself.

Image Nurse success hitting a target, get into fatigued, then have to press a button breath in (reload) before continue the chase.

Image Blight success hitting a target, get into weapon cooldown, then have to press a button to inject serum before continue the chase.

Unknown doesnt have to pres reload button to stand still and drink a jar of UVX after each shot.

If balanced landing got its stagger passive back it would probably be considered an S tier exhaustion

I dont think no one likes that. But Since Toba landing, maps start to have drop spaces that not being a hill, Theater has alot of drop too.. I love that idea and all old map should have revisited for that. Or even change the old title design to adding some drop space so BL can have more use.

  • Its info is bad, people dont complain UW for its info.

    • Its the no basekit counter against the perk at all.
    • Its the high speed killers can instantly spawn to survivors' position (which Aura perks can also do, so this doesnt matter)
    • Calm Spirit does not prevent the blindness, and the linger effect for 30sec makes hiding in locker does not work, unless killers think hiding in locker for 30sec for every 1min is a counter, which they do.
    • Its the denying 20 aura perks (WoO is a clutch perk blabla) is fine, but for some reason Distortion is complained about.
    • And final, denying basekit aura of slugged and hooked teammate, this is the core problem of the perk for me.

Info is not something to complain about UW. Its the insane utility that the perk gives.

    And suddenly mmr matters.

A 2k is a loss because you didnt win and theres no other team that didnt lose.

It'd be different if the scoring officially was like in IdV but it isnt. (3+ escapes as win for all survivors)

    A 2k is 2 survivor wins, 2 lossses and a killer loss.

My 2 teammates die, its 2-2 both sides are tie.

Killers say Survivors are suppose to play as “team” so win rate counted as “team”.

If 2 escape is lost for Side A (killer). Its lose for side B (survivor)

If you count survivor individual escape as a win. Then 40% escape still 40% lose - 60% win. So both math are flawed.

  • Thats strange though. Its mean to cut down the max progression, not adding. Then if a Gen is 95 of 100 being blocked, finishing the ritual make it 95 of 90 mean the Gen should be done.

  • @Quizzy said:

That would be too strong. Ill admit that. But thats why there are other perks that does something like that but requires more effort and thats parental guidance. You can stun with pallet then flashlight or rescue flashlight save to hide your scratch marks to basically get the same effect. But a simple blind would be too strong. Imagine 4 ppl running that and killer losing them more easily from that

Im thinking to make the perk as “counter tunneling” to help tunneled teammate.

It can be injured teammates (not you) in 16m radius of a successful flashlight blind lose scratch mark for a few sec. Forcing killer to chase you.

The only way to make DBD grow (if you mean in players) is to cut off tunneling so more people would play.

I don't think that would help DBD grow. It would maybe help (slightly) with the deteriorating player base but it doesn't bring in or hold new players.

I dont know if they can get more new players. But not letting players stop playing the game also increase the player count.

And veteran players buying skins if they keep playing the game. While newbie buying chapters.

I have friends to play with in other games, they told me that they want to play DBD with me since they saw me draw DBD alot. I told them not to play. We have 1h and a half to play everyday, I dont want them to be slugged for 4min. Or play the game for 3min then tunneled out then wait for 10min to play again.

  • @Xernoton said:

Please no. I play without headphones and I already struggle with tracking survivors with laggy scratch marks. A perk that removes them, while probably not a big deal for some people would affect others way more. It's also a problem with accessiblity, since there are people with hearing impairments that play killer too.

I also play without headphone, and I main Spirit second to Myers. I really dont like using headphone. When I was younger I got ears infection for wearing it many hours a day. Never again.

The scratch mark idea is to make killer lose sight after all.

Though increasing flash light blind time should do it too.

  • DBD would be in a good spot if killers can play fair and get 60% kill rate. Which its really possible by the current balance.

Its only that killers want 100% kill rate so they tunnel with their (suppose to have 60% kill without tunneling) strength.

Devs could make Huntress holds 7 iri hatchet basekit and that will not stop the tunneling.

The only way to make DBD grow (if you mean in players) is to cut off tunneling so more people would play.

killer consider themselves winning when they kill 3 out of 4 survivors or or 4/4 survivors. They lose whenever 4 people escape, 3 people escape or 2 people escape because in all of those instances, the survivors powered exit gate and exited the trial. I am going ignore the 1 escape exit gate and 1 hatch scenario.

But why do you just get to add that separation between one and two survivors escaping? Like you can consider 2 survivors escaping a loss as killer, you can consider any survivor escaping a loss as killer if you really want to, but its not the actual metric.

This averages to 23/40 for 57.5% kill-rate and 60% win-rate. Kill-rate is misleading for killer. It says very little for how good a killer is.

If we're just talking on a purely hypothetical level, you can also get a win rate that higher than 60% (as high as 75%) with a 60% kill rate.

If you put the number of kill are 0-3-3-3-3, so yes, 4 wins and 1 lose.

I tried with various number, the lowest one is 2 loses, 2 wins and 1 tie. Which means 50/50 win and lose. While that is the highest win rate possible for survivors.
