  • +1  minimum distance to down someone.

  • Hit Validation can't come soon enough

  • Depends on their playstyle tbh

A campy/tunneling killer is just unfun, the game's enjoyment comes to a screeching halt.

  • I'm at the point where I don't want to see tunnelers and campers.

Camping hooks at 4 gens, tunneling one survivor with 5 gens. If I see this I just DC. Enjoy you skilful win.

  • ''Please run non meta perks so I can camp, tunnel, slug, and ''pressure'' in peace''

  • @ClickyClicky said:

I've been working shifts. I can tell you that the early hours of the morning are the worst time to play this game. It's like the only people still up are the sweatlords with 6k hours per survivor, an OoO and coldwind/ormond offering in every game.

    Works both ways

  • Mori =/= Keys

But you just wanted validation that you're own perks, add ons, and offering were completely fine, right?

That's why borrowed time exists. Also, never fall for that camping trap, work on gens and get out. And that's not really an issue, you created a 1 in a million scenario to justify not fixing a perk that gets abused on a regular basis.

I'm not justifying anything, I think the current DS is too soft on tunnelers and should be reworked to punish them more.

I'm providing an example of how the changes you provided can be abused

Sounds like you want DS to be both an anti-tunnel perk and an anti-camping perk. Borrowed Time already fills the niche of being anti-camp. If the unhooker is carrying Borrowed Time and the killer manages to down the unhooker as well as the unhooked through Borrowed Time........ that sounds like a case of, dare I say, being outplayed!? Legitimately, in that circumstance, MAYBE both survivors deserve to be punished for bad teamwork through hooking?

    No, you misunderstood me.

I'm replying to the post that suggested a change and I've shown how the proposed idea can be abused by killers.

  • @helix43 said:

All the devs need to do is change ds so it deactivates when someone else is hooked. It'll make killers happy and survivors shouldn't have an issue because it still remains an anti-tunnel perk. The only people who would have an issue are the ones who abuse it, but try and hide behind the "I nEeD iT tO AvOiD bEiNg TuNnElEd" defence.

One issue with that is that killers can camp me, down me, down the unhooker, hooks them, and now he is free to hook me.

  • Slugged three survivors because everytime I downed one with tier3 Myers one would show up and I couldn't let my tier 3 go to waste.

2 was fine but when I downed the 3rd one I said to myself, ''I'm not having fun if the other players aren't having fun as well''

  • I blame Twitch streamers for this mentality tbh.

Monto and Tru would just point all these perks the survivors used to somehow prove that they are toxic

    I mean look at this:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5e9CYiAcn1k&ab_channel=TrU3Ta1ent

Besides the awful title, Pop, disocarande, and all seeing eye

    MEME build btw

I don't understand the point of this post? I'm honestly really confused. OP can you describe the point of this post?

If you didn't think this addon needed a change, then clearly you don't have the cogs working properly.

    Besides why quote these ?

*Laughs in styptic agent and red syringe*

    Deal with it. ;D

Because it's easier to call something OP rather than learning how to beat them.

The only reason these got likes if because they are Biased, yes what a surprise....

Here's something better you could've quoted:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/DKMZ865WMVR0/image.png

This guy apparently knows what he's talking about. What a surprise, a few people of this community know what they're talking about.

Also saying the number of likes they got, made me a have a "bruh" moment.

    You may say:

No one understands the health/balance of the game better than the devs themselves.

BUT.... You fail to realize that a part of the changes the devs did, CAME from the community.... They only implemented them.

I still don't understand the point of your post.

I'm %100 team nerf prayer beads

I say it in the op but but the recent Pop and PH threads made realize that most users here don't care about the balance of the game and the level of discourse back then is still the same.

  • Here is one I really like:

    Gen expert:

    Visionary

    Open Handed

    Prove Thyself

    Better Together

Visionary is slowly becoming one of my favourite perks, it really made it easier to spot a middle gen and find gens fast in indoor maps.

The idea of this build is to get into a gen you would like to finish first (a middle one perhaps) and you other teammates will be able to locate that gen and come help you. I sometimes switch PT with Built to Last and equip a toolbox. If you are ni red ranks you can use Repressed Alliance instead to counter pop but I was deranked to green rank with the rank reset so I'm not facing a lot of pop users there.

    Or try this build:

    Nurse is here

    We'll Make It

    Kindred

    Aftercare

You are a Nurse on a mission to save the other survivors, after unhooking them heal them with WMI and AC will help them locate you whenever they require a patch up.

The forth perk slot changes depending on the games I get

    Tunneled? DS

    Looped? DH

Or I run Distortion so I can safely get the hooked victims without BBQ ruining it

Oh and you need Lisa to play with that build, it's a must.

    Have fun :D

you won't like to hear this but when i play killer and i am acussed of camping or especially tunneling in realality the guy calling me a tunneler just played signifigantly worse than their teammates. im talking out in the open every time i look, alone in plain view while his teammates already found good hiding spots, wasting their hit speed boost by running into a wall, dead Harding into a wall ect.

when i slug its because i think it is likely the survivor still has ds up so you might ask "then why go for them at all? why not leave them and find someone else?" because i cant find someone else or they are in an especially bad spot that will result in them being off gens while immune to being hooked.

if you are at purple ranks or above u might not be being intentionally tunneled you might be by far the weakest player. of course there are people that will really tunnel but killers like this get rarer the high ranked you go.

BT, kindered and ironwill are amoung the best perks to help with stuff like this

Your playstyle =/= all the killers

Look at this forum, every thread where survivors are complaining about the 3vs1 strat or face camping receive nothing but ''it's a strat'' comments.

How do we counter these ''strats''? using these perks, but noooo, how dare we try and outplay killers

  • From the first day I played this game all I see is nerf Pig memes.

What exactly was nerfed with her?

    genuinely asking here.

    • Legion nerf
    • Freddy nerf
    • Nurse nerf
    • Billy nerf
    • PH Cage nerf
    • Scratch marks disappearing at random since last patch bug shadow nerf
    • Legion was unplayable wth are you talking about? He was broken. Tell me he wasn't.
    • Freddy got buffed but his gen regression add ons were not fair and uninspired. What nerf are you talking about?
    • Nurse got nerfed and she is still the strongest killer in the game. Infact her kill rate is higher in red ranks than before the nerf.
    • Billy was nerfed because in red ranks he was op, and the curve felt like pure bullcrap, With insta downs and insane gens patrolling with no cool down.
    • PH cages were nerfed because they encouraged camping. Even Otz would just send someone to the cage, then directly go towards it so he could be there when the survivor was unhooked. Zero skill, high reward with no bt or ds to save survivors from campers and tunnelers.

none of these give out rewards for playing badly in fact they do the opposite

    Playing badly?

I guess it's my fault the killer wanted to slug/tunnel me.

Tell me how to counter, camping, tunneling, and slugging without these perks.

Could be Stridor + Whispers as I can accurate find even healthy survivors with my headphones alone once my Whispers lights up (It's disabled during phasing itself). This wouldn't be effected by Distortion which directly counters (or informs you about) aura reading addons or perks only.

Did you stick around to see what he was running in the post game scorescreen?

No, but I was on the opposite end of the map and I saw with kindred that the other two were not close to me, and all the gens were finished near me.

I'm %100 certain she was hacking.

  • I went against a Spirit who knew EXACTLY where I was after hooking someone. Like literally phased into my exact location.

I was running Distortion.. And there weren't any gens near me..

  • @UMCorian said:

It's a perk that's heavily overrun. I just wish they'd apply the same logic for survivors. Getting really tired of every single one running DS, UB, BT an DH

Please teach me how to counter these "viable starts"

    Camping

    Slugging

    Tunneling

    Quickly

This is why I wish insidious didn't have undetectable I remember the days of watching insidious camping killers get humiliated by kindred aura reveal

The problem with kindered not showing their aura is that it only screws solo survivors, so I don't understand why they did this.

  • Paired with a one shot killer it's OP and the meta in red ranks.

  • *Survivors complaing about tunneling and camping*

"Use DS and UB, it's a viable strat"

    *Survivors equips DS and UB*

    "WAIT NO"

  • funmatch~2.jpg

It seems you got the perks to have fun yourself too.

Hate this mentality, it's ok for killers to run anything, but survivors are shamed for running perks that help them against "viable strats" like camping, tunneling, and slugging

  • @PleassBuiltInNoed said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1642996#Comment_1642996

There is no counter to him and yet he could never compete with very good solo survivors or just average swf not to mention the best survivor swf team...Why does everyone want a killer to have reliable counterplay when survivors have tons of stuff that killer cant counter at all such as decisive strike or pallets with no mind game

and like honestly what do you expect to happen when they nerf another decent killer, nurse was nerfed and her playrate dropped to like 0, same goes for billy and also all the weak killers that are in the game

survivors are complaining that all they verse are freddies and spirits but its always their fault, they are the ones who keep asking for nerfs to decent killers...like billy wasnt even broken, he could still be looped and all he had was that map pressure and yet they nerfed him just because survivor community complained about him for months

Nurse's kill rare increased in red ranks after the "nerf"

PH will require practice to be good now, just like Nurse.

And Nurse is still the best killer in the right hands.

Please stop saying he could never compete, do you honestly believe the devs will nerf a killer if he's having a hard time with survivors?

  • Playing killer:

Not the most toxic but the one that confused me the most.

    Feng with DS.

After hooking her she got unhooked while I was at the opposite end of the map (I dislike camping and tunneling so I never do it)

While I was there I kept getting sound notifactions constantly, like for 30 seconds stright, I go check and Feng is just there jumping in and out of a locker...

Why? She could have healed, got on a gen and I would be no the other side of the map. But no, a 5 second stun is better than healing and doing a gen.

    Playing a survivor,

I have two, one about a famous twitch streamer (not toxic but rude)

The first one was a facecamping Bubba (he made a thread here recently saying he's gonna quit dbd so yay I guess)

He insulted me while he was streaming, saying nasty stuff about me. It really hurt me, how can a person be this awful towards other players is beyond me.

The famous Twitch streamer was playing Pig, like he always does...

His internet is crap, and I got dedicated hard, what hurt me is he made a joke on stream and everyone was commenting agreeing with him about how bad I played when he was the reason.

  • The problem is with killers who only want to slug.

Meaning they will not hook until all 4 survivors are slugged.

This will mean some will bleed out. There is no fun in crawling for how long you take to die on the floor.

I can tell you don't play killer. Get to rank 1 killer ( which I doubt you will ) and get back to what you said. Pop is used 11 times ( It has a potential to be used 11 times but you can never pull off so many pop's in a high level game ) because the gen speed's are so broken at high level gameplay. 1 man gen takes 80 seconds and 2 man gen takes 47 seconds. You guys made the devs to nerf compound 21, PH. Sure.... Nerf pop. Might as well make the killer "non-scary".

If gen speed is broken then a 15 second difference wouldn't be such an issue for you.

I love when people use this argument instead of actually saying anything to the conversation.

    "Waaahhh"

It's called an opinion, because genuinely this doesn't make any sense at all. They used a bad argument that applies to DS as well. One pop goes the weasel can help, but all it takes is one DS to change the game.

    1 time use perk

    vs

    11 times use perk

See how stupid your argument of comparing different perks are?

  • @Kira15233 said:

We all knew this day was coming, sadly, devs listen too much the survivor community, he can't bait anymore, only decent thing about his changed is POTD being slightly shorter, welp, I'm done with the survivor community, time to mori them when I play killer

Haven't you read the whole thing? Survivors were stuck in lose/lose situation. Either drop the pallet and get hit, or continue to run only for PH to cancel his attack and M1.

There was no counter to that, how is that fair?

    @ClickyClicky said:

I’m just gonna switch to Spirit lol. Enjoy another Stridor Spirit guys 😚

What are you trying to prove by posting this?

That Spirit is still an op killer?

That you only enjoy playing with broken killers that need nerfs?

Says more about you than anyone else tbh

  • @FrootLoops said:

they removed the healing penalty from thana so that they could buff the gen slowdown aspect of the perk. When they said it was lose lose they meant that they wanted to buff it but felt they couldn't if it made it impossible to heal. the idea of thana was to make survivors prioritize healing over gens, therefore delaying the game, but if they made it tough to heal then survivors would just power through it. I think you'll find that thana and sloppy will still go great together, possibly more so since survivors will absolutely heal up rather than eat the buffed slowdown on gens

Why are you using common sense to argue here? here, I'll show you how to do it:

The devs are the worst! All they care about is making survivors happy so they can suck the $$$ out of them when a new skin comes out. Also nerf ds and bt.

  • WTH do DS and Unbreakable have to do with PGTW???

Why is it always the same argument with you guys?

''WAAAAAH they nerfed something, please nerf something from the other side''

  • @Science_Guy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1642772#Comment_1642772

This is exactly what they should have done.

No one cares about the skill-check crutch part of Technician.

There is an add on that does this, not sure if it's as strong as Technician though.

I've played against some Doctors who run both of these and I couldn't hit a skill check to save my life :(

  • Everytime, everytime I say to myself, ''Try different perks to have fun'' I get slugged, tunneled, and camped.

So no, As long as there are killers who think tunneling and camping are ''legit strats'' I'm running perks to counter that.

Green ranks and lower is where I don't run these, killers there are less sweaty and I actually have fun, sometimes even in solo que!

  • Why does it have the penalty?

So perks like overcharge and underwhelming presence don't become completely useless.

  • My God. a toxic facecamper complaining about the toxic community XD

  • I've played against you a couple of times. You just facecamp with Bubba, that's all you know, to facecamp.

and you know what's more sad and pathetic than your playstyle? I wrecked you once and 3 escaped and you decided to delete your stream

LMAO, how insecure must you be to delete a stream where you lost?

Please do us all a favour and leave, you are a stain on DBD. Zero respect for players like you who only facecamp and think 4king that way is somehow a skill.

  • @Kaitsja said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1619884#Comment_1619884

None of these are good ideas. Camping and Tunneling are both valid strategies. Albeit they can cost you the game when poorly executed, but the point still stands that they're as much a part of the game as looping is.

A facecamping Bubba that gets an early down is an winnable situation for survivors, Otz proved it, I proved it, other users here proved it.

  • Here are some ideas,

Tunneling: if the hooked survivor is hooked for the second time without anyone else being hooked, the next time he is unhooked he is fully recovered and gains a 5 second sprint burst.

I can see survivors exploting this so killers can just slug thrm. If they recover from the dying state the effect will not activate then.

The effect doesn't work if there are less than 3 gens remaining. And the effect can only be activated for one survivor oer match.

This is to help the 3vs1 strat.

Facecamping: I made a thread about how facrcamping with Bubba is borken and even Bubba mains admitted that they reached red ranks using the strat.

If the killer remains within the hook range (let's say 10 meters?) for longer than 30 seconds without entering a chase with another survivor or leaving then...

-Remaining survivors get %30 speed increase in all actions till the killer leave the hook area, the buff remain for 15 seonds after the killer is away from the hook

    Or

-The hooked survivor gets a garentueed hook escape wih a 5 seconds speed boost and 15 second endurance

    Or

-The hook timer is paused for an extra 60 seconds

Also Noed doesn't activate if the killer only got 2 hooks or less during the trial (this is to counter Bubba who only want to facecamp)

I'm typing this before bed so addmitty theu aren't that well thought, but please share on why you think some of these may or may not work.

  • Going after one survivor from the start and not targeting another till that survivor is dead.

This is the only true form of tunneling.

Some call it the 3vs1 "strat" in which you purposely go into the match with the intent of killing one survivor as soon as possible. This "strat" is extremely effective that it is borderline broken.

  • All I saw was tunnel and facecamp but ok

  • @ClickyClicky You responded to criticism towards PH with whataboutism. Think Dead Hard is unfair? make a thread and explain there.

You finding a killer fun doesn't negate points raised about him in the community.

  • @TheMonadoBoi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1615947#Comment_1615947

The PERFECT example of just how delusional some survivor mains are. It's literally an ASYMMETRICAL GAME, in what universe would it be okay for survivors to have the same chance in a chase as killers? That's the dumbest argument I've read today. There's a reason it's a 1v4, if there were 4 killers then OF COURSE, makes sense that survivors should have a chance to win every chase.

Did this never cross your mind or are we playing different games? 4 survivors vs 1 killer? No?

I'm not asking for equal speed here, I mean by 50/50 is when I get downed the reason could be either a bad play from me or a good play from the killer.

Red rank Nurse, Spirit, Deathslinger, or Pyramid Head have a huge advantage while in a chase over the survivors that winning against them is the result of them screwing up and not us playing correctly.

    You didn't answer me,

How is the Deathslinger having a instant shot fair? What can we do as survivors?

How is Spirit with stridor fair? What can survivors do in that case?

How is Pyramid Head with I'm all ears fair? How can we counter a killer that can shut most loops that survivors just go down in seconds?

  • Anyone that says solo que in red ranks is not the worst has not played solo que in red ranks.

  • Copy pasted from another thread

Because a 50/50 is not a 50/50 with some killers.

    A Spirit with Stridor

A Pyramid Head with I'm All Ears

Death Slinger having a half second shoot time etc...

In these situations you don't feel equal with the killer, both sides don't have the same chance …

  • Billy deserved the nerf and anyone crying about it doesn't care about the long term health of the game

  • It's fun getting tunneled after the first hook to be morried and leaving the game with a 3k score.

Screw that, If I see a mori I'm dcing.

It's like players learn with time how to use the powers of a killer too well that survivors end up in a disadvantage.
