Usually they are commenting about meta perks while they are using meta perks themselves.
-
Yep, can't reach it.
-
Because a 50/50 is not a 50/50 with some killers.
A Spirit with Stridor
A Pyramid Head with I'm All Ears
Death Slinger having a half second shoot time
etc...
In these situations you don't feel equal with the killer, both sides don't have the same chance.
And that's why it's unfun.
-
So... You wanted the Nurse to get a 4k and because she didn't the game is unbalanced?
-
Powerful.
Don't cleanse, visual and auditory clues thanks to being sick, not to mention being '' exposed'' the whole time
Cleanse, get ready to die.

''If the killer is standing next to a hooked survivor within an 8 meter range while not being in a chase for 30 seconds, all remaining survivors gain %20 increase in every action''

Based on their powers alone?
Hag
Her playstyle is just to camp hooks, crouching to avoid activating a trap while unhooking? Too bad, she will be right back because crouching is slow as ######### so it doesn't matter.
Based on their perks?
Nurse with Infictuois Fright
A Nurse main with over 1k hours and IF is broken and unfun
Love how they will claim that she isn't that powerful but get their asses kicked when faced against one
You know who you Are ;)
Based on their addons?
Clown with exhaustion addon
Try going against this addon while in an indoor map and tell me how much fun you are having.

by doing that the killer wont rank up and will probably stay at quite a low rank.
But for the games that your actually in the game with bubba. you could run camaraderie to increase the surviviors time on the hook. You could run several aura blocking perks to counter bitter murmur, you could do totems to counter NOED you could use items like toolboxes or gen related perks to decrease the time needed on gens. take keys, exhaustion perks so he cant reach you while your friends open the gate.
There are a lot of counters to this, and even if all of these wont work, some will. Get to high ranks and you wont face them
Camaraderie? Really?
Distortion only has 3 tokens, they will be gone by the third gen/BBQ
There isn't enough time to remove totems
I can't bring keys and tool boxes every game
Please argue with reason instead of spouting nonsense without reading my post

Ummm... you kind of undermine your own point. If the Bubba left the hook to go down more people, that is the very OPPOSITE of camping. You could have worked to 99 the other gate, gone for the rescue, done any number of things. The fact that the Bubba leaves the hook (at any time) shows he is NOT camping.
What I ment is that he knew we were very far to be able to reach the hooked survivor thanks to Bitter Murmur so he can save 10-20 seconds by abandoning the hooked victim so he can reach us before we can escape

Do you find joy in ruining the fun for others?
I think the post game chat is ######### hilarious and it's a good meme, yes - I'd also say Corrupt/Pop Freddy, Stridor Spirit, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head, and anyone with a mori are even more unfun to go vs this, albeit while it's subjective, I've found a lot of people I have camped and asked about this agree and actually say they had more fun vs me than this kind of game. Do you think they are ruining the fun for others by playing 'boring' killers? I certainly don't have fun going vs that #########.
Is your life intensely vapid and miserable that ''winning'' is your only source of happiness for you?
I can win just as easily and frequently as anyone else, it's just higher effort, I don't do it to win, I just find it overpowered because you can win just as consistently with little effort.
Do you find yourself terribly alone that you go for the negative reactions from others as a means of silencing that loneliness?
I think insidious bubba is the funniest meme in dbd and the post game chat and steam comments make it fulfilling. You mention loneliness - but I'd actually say camping is a super social thing for me. I've met a number of great twitch streamers who I still regularly watch and have befriended from facecamping them and having a laugh, aswell as the fact I pretty much never camp by myself, but usually in a discord call screensharing where it's pretty chill, funny and we can laugh over the postgame chat.
Can't say I think your takes on the way I play are any good, but I can understand where they come from. You seem like the kind of guy who gets upset by tbagging/flashlight clicking I imagine though.
You realize you didn't answer my question about your lonely life and said yes about finding joy in ruining the game for others.
''and the post game chat and steam comments make it fulfilling. You mention loneliness - but I'd actually say camping is a super social thing for me''
Thank you for proving all my points about you.
It's sad that there are humans like you who enjoy doing these things. Hiding behind words like memes can't disguise the fact that your life needs reevaluating, knowing your playstyle I'm willing to bet your friends (if you still have any) don't like playing with you.
Feel free to laugh at this like you enjoy reading all the comments on Steam.

As a facecamping bubba main with ~4k chainsaw downs, which is top 30 on the dbd.onteh.net.au leaderboards, I wholeheartedly agree with this post and have 4k’d (excluding hatch) >50 games in a row at one stage with this strategy. I’ve even beat coordinated premades with thousands of hours who actually tried to do gens - If you get the first down early enough (actually worked better with old bubba in a way as everyone greeded vs him) - the gens just don’t go fast enough, and NOED has zero counterplay.
2k is pretty much the minimum like you said, I only consider 4ks excluding key/last man hatch escapes wins though. 1k is insanely rare and would only happen if the survivors played super well/safe and you didn’t get your first down until you’d lost 3 gens, plus they’re a 4 man. I’ve never 0k’d doing this for obvious reasons.
My personal build is BBQ (points, since I 4k of games, and good aura reading when it’s a 1v3/the gens are done), Bamboozle (best chase perk), Insidious (tbh I just run this for the memes, I’d run monitor for practicality perhaps), NOED (unfair dumb perk, no counterplay to it with this strategy when the counterplay as hard enough in general)
Do you find joy in ruining the fun for others?
Is your life intensely vapid and miserable that ''winning'' is your only source of happiness for you?

Another day, another facecamping Bubba.
This seriously kills all the fun and makes me stop playing dbd for the rest of the day.

@Reaver_Raziel said:
"And this is if he goes against a really good SWF team"
No thats just insanely wrong. Thats what happens when you go against 4 good solos or a standard 4man SWF. What happens if Bubba goes against a good 4 man SWF and decideds to Face camp? He either gets 0 kills or only 1. Because after the first down its not 1 gen that gets done. Its 3 gens and now they only have 2 gens and the exit gates. Good survivors can keep a killer like Bubba occupied a long time, especially when he is running 2 perks that wont help him at all before the game is over. Bitter murmur does ######### all for a Camping Bubba. Besides at the end game. Same With Noed. Insidious might be used to help him vs 4 solos but beyond that nope.
So yes the counter is still just do gens. Why do I know this? Because I tried it out since people keep whining about it. Yes vs solos you are guaranteed 2k at least, unless you are unlucky and the guy you decided to go for is a slippery eel or the tiles spawned in the survivors favor. But vs even mediocre 4man SWF you aren't guaranteed anything with this playstyly. It might be 4k, but most likely its only gonna be 1k at best.
TL;DR Git gut and do gens
Lopped for 3 gens? Are you serious? This is a typical scenario for you? 3 effing gens?

He played like 7 games. He didn't 4k every game. I don't remember it all but he had at least a 2K in there. Some of the 4ks were the survivors hook bombing for the save instead of just leaving when they had the chance or literally just trolling in one of the games.
Literally the only reason it works is because Survivors are too stupid to just leave.
Since you remember it, remember when the survivors gen rushed him and he still managed to get a 4k thanks to bitter murmur and noed?

Well to be fair Otz can get 4ks using no perks or meme builds on any killer, he's a god among killers.
Also you replied while I was editing my post above, but your times are a bit off. You forgot to include the chase times. It would be something like 20-30 seconds to get the down and 10 seconds to carry to hook followed by 120 seconds of camping = 150-160 seconds. In 160 seconds the three survivors can literally do 5 gens to within a few seconds of completion (80 seconds for the first three solo, a few seconds for two to move to other gens and do the other two solo after another 80 seconds.)
I will say this, though, I think Bubba is a strong killer in chases now since his buff. He wasn't THAT bad before so buffing him made him pretty solid. Doesn't have much to do with camping per se but it does help him get that down or two to camp.
My issue is if he gets an early down, also Bitter Murmur shows the aura of all survivors for 10 seconds once the final gen is done. I saw him abandon a hooked survivor to down 2 who were going for the exit gate, knowing that I was very far to be able to reach the already hooked survivor.
And about my timings, yes every match will be different but even with the best outcome he will secure 2 kills, unless survivors manage to pull off a flashlight save or unhook themselves with ds, unbreakable, and soul guard.
-
@dugman said:
I'm a little confused, did the Bubba in that original post win or not? 2 kills with hardly any endgame score is a loss by most measures. (I don't consider pips a useful measure of winning or losing, but it also would probably result in a loss of a pip.) How is that a "win"?
The only way that strategy wins is if the survivors run in for the rescue early. If they don't, Bubba loses because 1-2 kills with hardly any points is a loss.
I provided the best outcome against this strat and 2k is the minimum Bubba will get against a 4 SWF, and that if he doesn't get an early down and the 3 survivors were separated when the last gen popped. Imagine what will happen in every other situation/
Otz made a stream about this a while ago and he got 4ks with every match.

I suggested in the op if he gets the same PH treatment in that hooks switch places if he facecamps them before all the gens are done.

The issue isn't about camping when survivors are hook rushing, it's about Bubbas with noed and bitter murmur who want to facecamp as soon as they get a hook knowing that it works %100 of the time.

I do not see the need to "solve this", honestly. Playing against a face camping bubba is rare in my experience. Even more rare should be players playing like this ALL THE TIME, just because it is super boring to do so game after game. It may be funny for some rounds, but I assure you there won't be many players doing this in every match. So it's more or less a non-issue, currently.
@Bullettimegod said:
Ive been playing dbd for little over 2 years. Let me ask you something.

Ive literally never came across this kind. Ive dealt with basement bubbas. Ive dealt with speedy bubbas. Hell one time i went against a speedy stealth bubba. Got yoinked off a gen a few times by this one. But never a bubba as you described
Enough to make me write a thread about it, your experience =/= mine and does not change the fact that this ''start'' is uncounterable

Possible Solutions:
-Borrowed Time
-Giving the killer player a death threat
-Run Kindred. It won't save you, but at least it gives your team a benefit as long as you are camped.
And that's all I can come up with. But why is the killer player living in the past? Camping with Bubba is an outdated strategy.
-Borrowed Time
Doesn't work for the unhooker though
-Giving the killer player a death threat
What???

I'm afraid to say this but DH is crazy op with a map
Just equip any map and it will save everything you saw with DH
The second the first gen is done run to center of the map then any direction before DH is over and you will at least save 4 totems
And if you have the Crystal Bead add on, you can destroy all totems before the second gen is done

I agree. A skilled Spirit is one of the few killers that have the potential to take on good SWF groups.
And what happens when she goes against a solo q team?

Remember that we are all playing to have fun in this game, don't ruin the fun for others.
You finding joy in doing this means you have a psychological problem that you need to help fix.
You really need to ask yourself why are you having fun in making others miserable and ruining their fun.
Seeking mental therapy is nothing to be ashamed of and you should consider it.

That's one of the few problems with DS! I can literally hook 2 other survivor's, beat my meat and pack my bags, and still get hit by DS and even if I do play fair some survivor's will go out of their way to abuse DS and annoy the killer to use DS because eating one DS can cost the killer the whole game
If you are getting 2 hooks within a min then a 5 seconds stun shouldn't be a problem
-
Oh I wish DS is removed for the game, but replaced with something to counter tunneling one survivor to do a 3vs1
-
Calm Spirit counters the perk %100, I don't think a bubble even shows up for the killer.

I had a match this week where a Spirit phased after hooking someone right to where I was standing, while running Distortion AND it was active.

You said to not tunnel a.k.a. the easiest target who is already hurt but rather someone is who healthy while they can go on gens. It's the same thing except more words. Efficiency.
Note: How did I put words in your mouth by asking a question?
So tell how is it fair to target a player who can't defend themselves since you are already close to them since you want to ''target the injured person''
They don't have a health state to give them a boost once hit and they can't escape since you were near and now where they are.
Please explain in detail how this gameplay mechanic is fun, balanced, and rewards skill?

You have still yet to disprove my point.
Did I say not to kill survivors? I said tunneling a survivor early on to do a 3vs1 is unfortunately a very effective start that doesn't have a counter, and is no way similar to survivors doing gens.

@vector said:

killer simply has to do everyhing gives him victory . Strange community of this game imposed all sort of strange rules, but the only thing they actually want is advantage.
For example you should not touch a guy that was unhooked because this is tunneling you should follow a healthy surv, but if the unhooked surv has a borrowtime he runs towards you and prevents you from hitting the heathly surv. The game "begins" when surviviors it suits survivior.
Abusing the game to have a huge advantage that guarantees victory for the killers most of the time is not fair nor healthy for the game.
How is being near a hook waiting to jump into another chase with an injured survivor is the same as doing gens?
And don't you dare use the excuse of ''killer's objective is to kill'' to justify this behaviour.
-
@MonsterInMyMind said:
Genrushing like tunneling is the player doing their objective nothing is wrong with it
Camping is just wasting your time its silly. Unless its end game.
Tunneling an injured player is the same as doing gens?
Plz think about what you wrote.
-
3v1 ''start'' is abusing the game mechanics and never should be seen as a legitimate strategy, it guarantees an easy win
Camping one survivor to death will never lead to enough time for the survivors to finish all gens. it has been proven but Otz and with bitter murmur and noed you get an ez 4k every match.
Both of these star are %100 percent effective and have no counter
Doing gens from the first second can't counter these starts
-
What's the point of this? Do you need your mommy to tell you that you were a good boy who didn't camp?

Then play better dude. What else you want? 🤦♂️
The argument was that 3vs1 is a viable strategy and I argued that it's nothing more than a cheap abuse of the game's mechanics to guarantee a cheap victory.
You replied with the maps are too big excuse, I posted that survivors only have the first chase to be able to do gens with minimal pressure, and after that the killer will be able to control the pressure for the rest of the match.
So you reply with ''Then play better''
Please learn how to argue, it's ok to admit that you have lost the argument, it's ok to be wrong sometimes. It's a step a person takes to grow into a mature adult.

I got on pallet city, moried two survivors, then just did an experiment. 3 gens left, one survivor ran from pallet to pallet, not looping at all, just throwing it instantly. They got down to 1 gen left... Certain maps just have too many resources.
Maybe because you moried two so the last 2 survivor had too many resources to use?

But, how often does a killer find someone that fast and that actually happen? Maybe 8% of the time. Now, how many times do survivors spawn right next to gens and almost hammer them out by the time the killer makes it across the map because he spawned on the other side? 90% of the time. How's that fair unless your a mobile killer? The quick kill is all you have to gain momentum and slow said team down.
Still using the ''maps are too big'' excuse?
Survivors only have zero pressure during the start of the match, after the first hook the pressure is on, and only one survivor will be free to do gens at best.
-
Nurse is the strongest killer in the game
A nurse main with over 1k hours is borderline broken to go against, but sure, let's buff Nurse
-
@ThisGuuy83 said:
Getting rid of the 1st survivor as quick as possible if you almost instantly find them is a viable strategy. 3 is easier to stop then 4.
See this is a problem, Killers complain that survivors shouldn't be able to loop killers for 5 gens and we agree.
However, if a killer does the 3 vs 1 strat it's game over for the survivors since there is no way to finish all gens that way, since one will be hooked, one chased, and one going for the unhook, that means no one will be free to do a gen.
It's not a viable strategy but a cheap abuse of the game's mechanic to guarantee a cheap victory.
-
I'd love a morri with actual killing animations, decapitation by the Demi, head splitting open by the Huntress, skull caved in by the Oni, etc...

We need to see the names.
If I couldn't see the names I couldn't dodge the people I've added to my list.
But this logic is unfair because why can't survivors see the killer's name to avoid the toxic ones too?
I'm not asking for survivors to see killers' names, I think killers seeing our names is not beneficial to the outcome of the game other than to target certain players
