Botiz, who are you quoting? I need to know.
I was quoting the first reply to this thread, the guy who just said "Lag."

Lag.
"In situations where the Killer has a poor connection to the server, the server will step in and evaluate their hits to make sure that they are fair. If it is determined that the hit only landed due to the Killers weak connection (I.e. The Killer and the Survivor were too far away for the hit to land), the hit is rejected, and the Survivor does not take any damage. In simple terms, the player with a poor connection is at a disadvantage, no matter which side they are playing."
I personally don't think that my 65/63ms ping in this situation was the worse connection between myself and the killer, therefore the hits shouldn't have been granted.

Why not let a killer be afk and just do all the totems and gens for ez blood points
This, or you could try finding a toolbox from a chest to sabo some hooks, gives you 500 BP per sabo

Yep. A forum mod even stated "temporary bans do not show on people's profile, so assuming they got no punishment is wrong" however the fact the OP of the thread was told that it wasn't enough info at least suggests that they didn't receive a punishment. Also i'm not sure why you'd tell the person who made the report that it's "not enough info" if you were to then punish them anyways...
-
"I really hope that my reports for harassment actually does something."
I mean, there's literally another thread where someone reported somebody for racism with screenshot proof and it was declared not enough info, so don't expect your report to do much.

Thanks for the clip.
You slugged everyone at 4 gens, and you're Bubba, you went back to the hook to down 2 more and you're complaining about a 5 second stun?
What exactly are you complaining about here?
Nea ran right towards the direction of where I was hooking the Ash and I caught her. I had to slug the Nea in the first place incase she had DS. That was the first mistake they made.
I then caught the Zarina as to which she saved without BT, resulting in both her and the Ash going down. This was the second mistake they made.
Instead of the Meg waiting to see if I was going to hook somebody before attempting to pick up the Nea, she went for a risky pick-up and then ran into the wall resulting in me being able to down her. This was a third and fourth mistake by the survivors, all within a 50 second period.
You're right, I could've just hooked the Zarina, however because I knew roughly where the final survivor was, and due to the Nea saboing hooks earlier on making the game annoying and making it difficult for me to hook I wanted the game over there. As I said in my original comment, if Zarina had BT I would've just put the Ash into mending and hooked Zarina and played from there.
So, I played well, capitalized on the mistakes that the survivors had made, and as a result I get punished by receiving a 5 second stun.
I don't necessarily see myself as complaining, I see it as demonstrating the strength and the obnoxious length that DS has.

simply could have waited slightly longer, it's your own fault for not being wary of the perk. As you waited all you had to do was wait on top of her and hit her if she did indeed have unbreakable, i've been in this exact situation and the survivor did have unbreakable and i had no trouble dealing with it.
Not saying the perk combo is healthy but if all the other survivors are disabled you can wait some so 20 seconds on top of the survivor.
How is it my fault for not being wary of the perk? I was literally wary in the first place, hence why I slugged her when I downed her after hooking the Ash. How was I supposed to know that after everything I did in the clip she was STILL going to have Decisive? You'd think with all that happened that by the time everyone was downed it would've deactivated.
"all you had to do was wait on top and hit her if she did have unbreakable" okay then Mr. Hindsight what if she had Soul Guard too? Then she can just take a hit and pick the others up.
Also, by the end of the clip, not only do I have to be wary of Nea having DS, I also have to be wary of the Ash having DS too because of the poor save by Zarina.

Now the real question is: Did you win this game?
If you did, then it's not like it helped them much? And if you didn't then you must've ######### up horrifically later on to not win with that much pressure at 4 gens.
The devs are aware that DS lasts too long and they want to change the more abusive side of it to prevent situations like this, btw.
I got a 3K and the last ended up getting hatch, so kind of.
You're right it didn't necessarily help them much, but the fact that I downed every other survivor and re-downed one and she still had DS is crazy.
As for "the more abusive side", I don't necessarily think this situation would be considered abusive... I moreso took it as they were going to nerf the abusive side as in locker DS.
-
Honestly, I love the graphical updates they did to Yamaoka, Springwood and Ormond, even Macmillan (just wish the blue tinge was a bit more prominent) but Autohaven just looks horrible for the most part.
-
Here before OP gets banned or thread deleted LOL
-
This is the biggest thing i'm worried about.
Known Issues:
- Victor may become stuck if he pounces on a locker with a healthy Survivor inside. Charlotte will be unable to search the locker until Victor is recalled.
This has made Victor EVEN worse. The one easy counter now also might bug him if you pounce on a locker with a healthy survivor inside. What a ######### joke.
-
I had the same thought, but let's be real, queue times as killer are usually horrible as is in the PTB and after 36-48 hours it seems that most people just go back to the live version anyways

hmm... while im thankful that they did SOMETHING. This is only enough shards for 1 cosmetic set. They are slowly pushing the line, so next time they dont have to do anything. Its like when EA slowly makes loot boxes worse and worse every game. Dont give them an inch. Demand the full 2 skins.
Here's the thing for me though, it then means you're still required to play to earn the other set, making it fair in my opinion. Plus if you already have shards saved you won't have to play as much compared to if you have zero shards at all. One for free just by logging in everyday, and then one for actually playing and earning shards seems fair to me

What if the devs are really focused on fixing bugs than answering about the event? 🙏
I don't think that spending a little bit of time reading criticism and preparing a response would take up too much time over fixing bugs. Wouldn't addressing the situation be moreso something for the Community Managers to take care of? Even if they simply said something like "We acknowledge the complaints regarding the event and we'll have a more detailed response in a few days" would be better than nothing at all. I get this is probably a sarcastic comment but in case it isn't, that's my thoughts.
-
As per typical Q&A stream fashion, 25% of questions couldn't be answered or just had no further detail that could go into regarding them, which if that's the case, just answer them here on the forums next time rather than wasting two minutes per question rambling about something you're not gonna give us any more information on.
Another 25% of the questions were unimportant, like "How do you obtain licenses", "What about a statistics page" and questions along those lines for example which i'm almost certain have been answered before, especially back during the Deathslinger PTB/Chapter Q&A.
Where and when will the criticism of the Halloween Event be addressed? But I suppose just use Damage Control by announcing a weekend-long Bloodhunt, because that'll make everyone happy.
EDIT: I do see another forum post saying Mathieu said they're gonna be doing something but I must've missed that part somehow, if anyone could clip or link that i'd be more than welcome to give it a watch.
-
Tru3, Scott, Umbra, then Goose and Otz from time to time and No0b3.
-
Not to mention with the last chapter they introduced a new potential meta perk for survivors, that being Soul Guard. Now with this chapter, 2/3 of the Killer Perks are funnily enough, hexes. Get ready to see tons more Soul Guard!
-
I wouldn't be surprised. They disabled it before because streamers were being hit with the DC Timer Exploit, then they re-enable it and it's happening again - it's literally as though they test nothing whatsoever. Don't get me wrong, the game is so unique and is definitely enjoyable at times but all the bugs that have been lurking in the game for months, and all the bugs that keep popping up with every update is a ######### joke. But knowing the devs, they probably won't bother skipping a chapter to focus on fixing bugs.
-
I agree with everything here besides "the devs only listen to survivors" argument. There was a huge map rework a few months back, Freddy was reworked and became one of the strongest killers, Doc was also reworked and became much stronger, and as of recent Bubba has been reworked to become stronger.
But yeah, the amount of new bugs that appear every update is ridiculous. Billy and Bubba get reworked? Suddenly Plague's puke comes out of her forehead. Many people are for the idea of them skipping a chapter and focusing on fixing bugs but of course that won't happen and we'll likely just receive another mediocre killer who isn't seen much after the first week of release and maybe one or two useful perks whilst the other 3-4 are memey/useless and just add to the grind of the game.
-
You could just check in pre-game lobby as to whether the survivors have each other added on Steam. Usually in most lobbies for me there's at least two people who have their friends and profile showing. If there's 3-4 people who have each other added you could just dodge, but then that means you'd have to wait for a game again.
-
Completely agree with him. The new map visually, as per usual, is incredible. All the hidden easter eggs too are amazing. But gameplay wise? Nope, it's awful for literally both sides as he stated. As for Pyramid Head, I also agree he feels very janky to use. He has like a 3-4 second cooldown after his punishment of the damned attack, his torment is easily avoidable just by crouching through and also can't be put around/next to generators or the exit gates, sometimes it'll look like the punishment should hit but just doesn't, and caging completely negates so many perks for both sides. I've said this since the PTB that I feel the killer was overhyped and i'm yet to change my mind. We're given average/bad killer perks once again and of course there's two survivor perks (Soul Guard and Repressed Alliance) which seem good/great. Amazing concept for a chapter but I feel overall it's been executed somewhat poorly. And of course yeah, the sound bugs I didn't even realize were THAT bad.
-
Gonna REQUOTE this for the second time considering my first comment seems to have been removed, for whatever reason.
"Honestly, seems to have been like this for the past 3-4 Q&A streams now. It's getting kinda boring, maybe they could reply on the forums to the ones they can't fully address just to show they've acknowledged the question, and the ones they can answer in more detail they answer in the Q&A stream.
Also, what a joke. Ethan calls Clown underrated yet they fail to even bother to address his current reloading bug. Pathetic."

My god, this company.
lmao was my original comment you quoted literally removed from this post? I can't see it at all, neither on my forum profile. LOL

How long does the rates of judgment trail usually last?
I'm not sure, but it's definitely a lot longer than 2 seconds. If you have him, try using it out in the open, away from hooks and generators, then compare how long it lasts next to generators and you'll see what i'm on about
-

I mean Trapper has limited traps and needs to find them on the map. They can be quickly disarmed. Not really a fair comparison. Trapper also cannot trap right under the hook btw
I'm on about Trapper trapping the exit gates. They can be quickly disarmed, as to which the killer is given a visual and audio notification when it's been disarmed. With Rites, it too gives the killer a visual and audio notification once you walk over it, then disappears so I just wouldn't understand why you wouldn't be able to use Rites on the exit gates?

DS is not an anti-tunnel Perk.
And its funny how you start the Clip with saying how well the game is going for you - I guess, it was a 4K? With... let me guess again... 2 Gens left?
EDIT: Just checked it. 3K with 3 Gens left and a Hatch Escape. So pretty much a 4K if you would have slugged. The DS really ruined your game, i see.
And also to add to that, I never stated it was an anti-tunnel perk. I was addressing the survivors who use the excuse "just don't tunnel" when a killer gets hit with DS.

I literally stated in my original comment that I was doing well and that it didn't change this game in particular - this doesn't mean it wouldn't be an issue in other games. As I also stated, I got hit with DS the other week after hooking somebody else, and 2 seconds after being hit with DS the survivor got adrenaline from the last gen having been completed.

Are you regressing generators at all? Spooking survivors? Destroying fallen pallets?
Or are you just going after kills?
At this point it was approximately 6 minutes into the game and only 1 generator was done when hooking the Meg, with a 2nd done by the time I got back over to David. I got really lucky with the map as Wraith to be honest. You see in the video that right after hooking the Meg I went straight to the gen around the corner and regressed it. As for pallets there probably were one or two I could've destroyed.
-
Bubba is pretty straight-forward to play, is fun, but can sometimes get hurt by good teams at higher ranks. Also has the BBQ & Chili teachable, which, if you don't already have, is amazing for reducing the grind with the bloodpoint gain.
Pig is definitely underrated, she's not too difficult to play, and is definitely fun. Her perk Make Your Choice on Hag is also amazing.
Ghostface is a little harder to play, depending on playstyle, with stalking it can take a little getting used to with knowing where you can be broken out of stealth from and when to stalk etc, however simply using a hit-and-run playstyle running Thana/Sloppy or both and alternating between injuring survivors is a simple, yet very effective way of playing him.
Those are the three i'd recommend the most. In terms of enjoyability for newer players of the killers i'd go Pig, Bubba, then Ghostface. In terms of strength i'd go Ghostface, Pig, then Bubba.
-
One thing that Tru3 brought up recently which I agree with - remember when survivor mains used to complain because Spirit had collision? Now collision has been removed, they're still complaining about her. What more do they want?

Nintendo is not telling us how to design the game. :)
Thank you for your constructive feedback regarding this post! Very helpful indeed!

Nerf Keys (Only allow the person with they key to escape through hatch)
Nerf Moris (Only allow them to be used when somebody is on death hook, so after their 2nd hook)
Nerf DS (Make it so it deactivates when somebody else is hooked)
Nerf Iri Head (Maybe give it the same effect as Deathslinger's add-on where it only insta-downs after a certain distance, or make it so the extra hatchets add-ons can't be used with it)
Kindred Base-Kit (Make it so Kindred is base-kit for survivors so it decreases the gap between solo and SWF)
2nd Objective (Totems aren't a good enough "2nd Objective". Survivors need something else to do other than gens and looping)
-
Had a similar situation that I just made a post about. Doc on Asylum, first gen was completed in 31 seconds, they too had a BNP.

Yes, because me questioning something you said and saying I feel like i'm missing something is very toxic.
Hypocritical of you to suggest my comment isn't creative or productive but you're not willing to explain to me what i'm missing.
-
"Just had a game playing against Spirit on Sanctum of Wrath."
"I got NOED downed, thrown in basement and repeatedly hit and aggressively tea bagged for playing the game."
I feel like i'm missing something here...
-
Nope, the penalty isn't harsh enough from the get-go, that's the issue.
-
NOED is a perk.
-
If you're this early on in the game, I doubt you'd have had the time to 3 hook all the survivors anyways.
You getting hit by the DS would/should've been helpful if they then went for the save as it would then allow you to get more hooks, rather than 1-2 hooking everybody with 5 gens still up.
-
Motivation:
Looping The Killer.
Discourage:
3/4-Man SWF Groups At Red Ranks.
Those are the main two things for me.
-
What about the Wraith bug where it takes him a second or so longer to come out of cloak now? Several people have reported on it however hasn't been acknowledged as of yet. Gives survivors more of a chance to make it to a pallet/loop and to flashlight stun him too.
-
But removing pallets and making windows unsafe allows you to end chases quicker because you'll catch up to them faster.
Once you have a hook, you get the momentum going. The person on the hook can't do a gen, there'll most likely be a second person getting off a gen to go for the save, leaving two people to do gens, as to which they could be doing stuff for their challenges, cleansing totems or just running about anyways.
Obviously if they're in a SWF they'll be a lot more optimal, most likely remembering they have a relatively large chunk of time before the hooked person hits the struggle stage, however if you have BBQ, you may be able to see what the other survivors are doing if they're far enough away from the hook, if you see them on a gen, head over to the gen to attempt to stop it, if it gets complete then you'll still be able to maintain momentum by finding them and injuring them, if it doesn't then you can kick the gen and potentially regress it by 25% if you're running PGTW.
-
For Survivor, I genuinely feel like I don't need any crutch perks. I can go in with zero perks and still pip just fine (unless i'm being tunelled/camped).
For Killer however, I always run PGTW now. Ruin rarely lasts long enough for it to have a big enough effect on the game, and kicking a gen regularly doesn't do much at all unless it's been regressing for a very long time... which survivors can just stop by tapping it.
-
It's honestly disgusting as to how extreme people can get in post-game chat. Been told to "get cancer" before and all-sorts.
-

OoO means survivor is most likely in a good swf with coms. It also means they are all confidant in their looping skills. The moment you see that they have it, you should either tunnel the crap out of the OoO user, if you don't think you can keep up with them, do what I do and just hide in the basement and protect your chest, its not worth the stress. They're looking to have fun at your expense, don't fall for it. Do the opposite of what they want you to do.
Yeah. I'm probably just gonna AFK if I get a game like it again. Don't wanna get this DC Penalty too high as would like to play some chill survivor
-
I feel like i'm starting to get there.
The only incentive I have to play killer is for more Bloodpoints. If I had everything unlocked on every character, then i'd be playing Survivor a ton more.
Killer nowadays, in almost every game, you have to sweat your ass off and can't have a 'lax game at red ranks. I'd probably say 1 in every 3 games I get at least a 3 Man SWF in my lobby and it's not fun to go against at all. I had a game today where I was playing Doc and went up against a full 4 Man SWF (https://prnt.sc/rr7ytb) - all of which were Rank 1 and I couldn't even get the right angle to stop them going through the god loop. And then of course you have Solo Survivor, where a lot of the time you're matched with bad teammates. Maybe 1 in every 10 games do I actually get a decent team.
I don't even look forward to new chapters they bring out anymore, because along with it comes mostly mediocre perks, and a mediocre killer, and as we've seen with Gearhead, that had potential but then decided to nerf it. So what's to look forward to with this game anymore? Every patch they bring out I always assume they're going to nerf something killer-related, because that's usually what happens. I think it's genuinely time they start work on some new gamemodes.
