You both mean "cages", right?
Yeah.

I'm glad i went through the effort of completing his story.
Finally we know about the Wailing Bell, that alone made it worth it for me. 😝

I don't think moris work with hooks anymore.
Oh okay, didn't know that.
-
Explosion notifications don't happen with just hooks, so cages doing them as well isn't contradictory.
I thought this would be about Moris working with hooks, which i do understand.
-
Wraith.
-
Yeah, it works.
Also: Oh wow, that could be a bug, but that would scream hacker in my brains.
Idk, report the Killer next time, and maybe make a bug report as well.
-
Because you see them Very Rare-ly ingame.

I was talking about the "kill the obsession 10 times" one, which takes an absolute bare minimum of 3 matches, assuming you're able to switch the obsession and then kill them that often. Without any of the perks that change obsession, it takes 10 games (assuming every single match even has an obsession)
Right, sorry, my mind just jumped to wanting to explain the other one for some reason.

Imagine having to spend 10 or more matches working on a challenge, unless you have specific perks (or survivors needing to run specific perks) to even have a chance of having it done in less.
Its one of the worst, most grindy challenges the rift has ever had. and there have been some pretty awful ones.
I managed to get it in one go.
Requirement #1: Hook 5 Survivors.
A natural thing, nothing special needed here.
Requirement #2: Hit 2 Survivors with Exposed.
Easily managed to get 2 early in the trial thanks to Make Your Choice.
Requirement #3: Kill 1 Survivor by your own hands.
Ivory Memento Mori ahoy.
Requirement #4: Equip Hex: Devour Hope
It got cleansed immediately, so i'm really glad it doesn't need to be up and hit all previous requirements.

I got the devour Hope challenge done WITHOUT the most op offering in the game though and the obsession challenge is stupid. Technically it means to play 10 killer matches and hope the obsession doesn’t escape. But that doesn’t mean you need to bring an ebony mori for 1 person to die. I played 10 normal killer matches and got that done as well.
"...and hope the Obsession doesn't escape."
Yeah well, when people wanna seriously complete them, they'll go for more secure ways than just hoping.
-
Yeah, it doesn't suit my playstyle at all.
I don't mind them wanting to get me out of my comfort zone, but i wanna find more comfort then, not find discomfort.
-
- Shrine of Secrets now does 4 Teachables per class (Survivor & Killer) per day, and Perks that showed up in the SoS at any time the last 7 days can't appear again until those 7 days are up.
- Wraith's "The Serpent" - Soot is remade to now grant you more movement speed during the finished-uncloaking phase.
- Hex: Devour Hope's 2-Token reward is removed, and if it reaches 8 Tokens, it kills every Survivor with that EndGame Collapse animation...
-
I welcome you to the glory that is H: DH.
-
Yeah i got a few, but the worst was when Pallet/Flashlight-saving during animations was made an intentional balance change.
There was no incentive for me to play Killer for those few days that it existed, every Survivor had a Flashlight, and if one didn't, they were probably planning to be the one to be saved, making sure to go down at Pallets and/or away from walls.
Pretty much ruined the event for me: The rest of it was fine, but it just left a foul taste on the whole thing, i wanted the cosmetic ASAP and just not bother until the end of it.

Playing as Survivor
- I like it when the Killer doesn't leave me on the ground.
- I like it when the Killer isn't being negative towards me in the aftermath chat.
- I like it when the Killer has relative skill.
- I dislike it when the Killer disconnects.

It's not possible for me to complain when on this map with my Wraith.
More than enough cover to hide my shimmer, short loops, relatively small size, and the super-lunge is very much viable on this map thanks to those short loops.
The only thing that's really negative is that big room with the glass walls, but one bad thing on a map that otherwise greatly benefits me for simply playing how i want is more than acceptable.
-
I like 'em too, mostly when using breakable walls as just walls, that is.
I love the noise it makes when you break it though, sounds very tough.
-
Yup.
-
Stunned for 7 seconds?
As long as that's in there, my bias against being stunned in videogames cannot say yes.
-
Can you permanently turn it off?
-
I actually really don't like the Hatch ones as Killer.
You're pretty much telling the Survivors where there's a high chance for it to be.
-
Simultaneous.

Clown.

Hello, Boss!
The plant is so much better than the vulture. That source of sound was almost strangle-worthy!
Can't deny that.
-
Playing the game lowers my stress, i don't need alternatives to keep it low.
To me, it's just a videogame, i play only to have fun.
And i have fun, otherwise you wouldn't see me on here anymore.
-
So far i've been able to dodge the bullets and still hook them, but it did deny me my input a couple of times with each of a couple of hookings.
Would like to see this resolved in another hotfix.
-
Probably never.
Making cosmetics would be hell for that character, having to take every type of proportion into consideration.
-
Oh btw, i didn't specify a specific time at which you'd eventually go down.
But in the last minute or so, you'd get a visual effect to indicate you're about to die, and this visual effect would be explained in the Help section of the main menu.
Not a bothersome visual effect or anything, just something small but clear.

Perhaps make it so that when you are in Deep Wound or Broken state, your timer disappears? Then it will return when you are back in the normal Injured State?
Yeah, Broken should not allow this mechanic to work.
It'd destroy No Mither.
-
Well this DS bug should help.

It’s rare, tough being killer from the perspective of you spend 2 million blood points to get to 50 (3x if you prestige) and then you realize you need to spend another 6 million to get the perks you want.
But you DID get them before then?
Such matches.

I am uncultured and you're the second person I saw this from, who is Alan Wake?
To not get into too many details...
Alan Wake is from the videogame Alan Wake.
He's a writer who is taking a vacation after not being able to think of anything to write for a while.
At this vacation, he jumps in a lake to save his wife's life, and at some point wakes up in the forest, having no memory of what happened between jumping in and waking up now.
In this forest and numerous other locations in the game, he has to fend off humans who have been overtaken by darkness, only being able to hurt them after putting them in the light.
It turns out that he had written a story that so happens to be the game itself, and he wrote this between the moments of jumping in the lake and waking up.
In my opinion, there's not really a big villain in the game that could work as a Killer, but Alan Wake's gameplay is quite similar from the gameplay in DbD, setting aside that you can shoot in Alan Wake.
But without a weapon, Alan Wake is the same as a DbD Survivor: Close to helpless, having to run to survive.
-
Want Alan Wake, don't want Spongebob creepypasta.

Issues I see:
-You'd be required to cleanse against Plague, cutting out an entire counter-play against her.
-You'd be forced to heal against Legion, who will just re-injure you in 20 seconds anyway cutting out a lot of counterplay against him. (He/she needs buffs, though)
-Would be a huge nerf to resilience.
-Would probably push survivors into gen-rushing more. Get the gens done and out the door before you go into the dying state.
Good job pointing out issues.
Already figured there would be. 😜

@FrootLoops said:
I would say this is good, but would need to stop the timer in the broken state. otherwise plague would be OP and no mither would be even worse
Oh yeah, very very true.
-
From what i've encountered, i could agree.
The biggest thing i noticed is how fast one can 360, but 360s on PC Ultra Rare-ly work on me, so console players is even easier to me in that regard.
-
If i see nice behavior, i always respond back.
Might be me and just a few hundreds of other Killers, but still, i would.

Well, come to EU and snipe me. :P And please dont DC like the last two Obsessions I had, which DCed right at the start after being downed/seeing that I played Spirit.
I've got step 1 down at least.
I actually disconnected earlier today for the first time since DC penalties became a thing.
And no, it's not because they were a Spirit. 😋

Yeah, this only works in the evening for me, and usually I am playing with a friend at this time. Which makes Archives quite a lenghty thing, when I am only to do it with 10 minute queues. (like, killing the Obsession 10 times is at least 1 or 2 hours of Queue time alone, lol)
Wish i could help.
-
That's quite exceptional.
You can hope, but the best you could get from them is a: "Never say never, but probably never."
-
Well they're not going to only add stuff that we ask for.
I don't really mind these new sounds, but if they can be even better, i'd obviously want that.

All the time? I get 10 seconds as Killer during the evening, where Survivor is around 2-3 minutes. But Killer from Morning to Afternoon can take around 10 minutes, while Survivor is instant. So while it switches at some point, Killer Queues in general are longer.
10 seconds is pretty consistent here, yeah.
It can go up to a minute or 2, but it's mostly below 1.

Definitely not, I've got 5100 hours in this game, it's definitely super easy as killer, and my survivor lobbies are about 30 seconds compared to my 15 minute killer lobbies.
15 minutes doesn't sound right, but multiple minutes?
Damn, i can get into a game in 10 seconds as Killer.

Hours.

Yeah it's really just brilliantly thought out isn't it? Let's add it to the pool of greens (which is already mega saturated by map offerings and add-ons) and then make it so it doesn't even save it when no other offerings are used. So there is an extremely high chance that you waste it when it's your only one.
Like if you're gonna add more junk to the bloodwebs at least make them consistently useful.
I didn't see a single map Offering today, just BP & some Lucks, or, y'know, the classic NOTHING.
-
@BeardedMenace said:
I honestly don't see a point in this new Offering. When will it ever be used? When do 4 people ever put on the same map? I've had this game since it came out and max maps I ever saw on offering screen was 3 and they weren't the same. So what was this intended for?? Stream snipers? Sorry just curious and hoped someone here could answer without starting a whole thread for nothing. Thanks!
I'm not sure what you mean with "When do 4 people..."
The wiki says that it's cancelled if 4 people use the same one, not that it only works with 4 people using the same one.
So at least that's good, that it works unless you get spammed by 4.
Unless you didn't mean that as an impossible requirement, but an impossible denial?
(Wiki didn't say anything about my main question at the top of the page btw, so that's why i asked.)
