It was a nerf to begin with, 0.14 of a second in exchange for it only working on pallets but I see the video, That sucks.
-
She's a good killer but not without her drawbacks, I personally believe she is the most balanced killer in the game.
If you played as her you'll realize that her power can be gamble. If you're running into spirits a lot and don't like playing against her, Run Iron will, It's her downfall, Maybe even Urban if you're having trouble hiding your scratch marks. Also Vault spots are a good way to loop her.

The only reason you feel that way is because survivor addons have been nerfed into the ground. BNP was great but is now worthless. Survivors dont bring items or offerings into games because there is generally no point anyway. You can just Franklins the item out of their hands regardless.
Actually no, the reason I feel this way is because on average survivors will most likely earn more than killers with these changes which I don't necessarily mind but in turn that will increase the amount of items they can stockpile and will probably see an increase in instaheals and keys you see on average in games.
While killers on the other hand will have to use up all their add ons in every trial and could have to go trough multiple bloodwebs to get a good built back. It's already hard enough to play a lot of the killers because of their reliance on add ons that are hard to come by.
If they're increasing the gain for survivors the least they can do is reduce the price of add ons for killers to help balance the scales.
-
@ASpazNamedSteve Basically They're reworking some bloodpoint actions and adding some in for survivors so that they will earn the same per match as the killer.
I'd argue that it was already the pretty equal since killers have to wait out the whole trial, have to do more in the trials, loose all add ons every trial and survivors can get into more matches per hour but It's ultimately to make survivor more appealing to play and help with que times since during bloodpoint events people tend to play killer a lot since killers could earn more in a trial.
@BloodMoneyMerc I'd like that but I think you'd get a lot of complaints that Killers are running the strongest add ons every game, even tho these new changes will most likely up the amount of Keys/Insta heals we're going to see on average.
@SleepyWillo That drastic of a change would most likely turn a lot of survivors away from playing, a big part of this new change they've said is to make survivor more appealing to play to help with que times.
-
It was nice while it lasted. Guess we'll have to wait months again for it to be looked at.
-
I like the change, I just wish they took one thing into consideration, that being Killers add ons.
I wish they'd reduce the cost of killer add ons aswell with this change to help even things out since as Killer you loose your add ons every trial while survivors if they escape get to keep their items, with the new changes it's going to be even easier to stockpile your items/add ons as survivor.
-
Im tired of these kinds of killers too. Every Killer since clown including new Freddy has had a power gauge and every Killer since Plauge has had survivors heavily impact their power level.
I just want a simple M2 killer like Huntress, Nurse, BIlly or Wraith with no gimmicks and where the power is in the killers hands completely.
-
They're pretty slow with Buffs to killers, My guess is a long time away.
A lot of the killers just need some number changes to be viable. I find it shocking that it takes so long.

Won't it still have negative affects while a person is asleep? It's also passive and allows Freddy to hit people even while they're awake. People need to stop treating this like a nerf. It's like they don't even know what that word means.
The only negatives to being asleep will be that you're effected by the dream snares and pallets, there's no action speed penalty anymore.
Personally I don't think it's a nerf, He's definitively going to be stronger but I'd say he'll end up mid-tier at best. Waking up is just too easy so I think he'll be getting looped pretty hard.
-
That's the point of a Hex perk. They're strong but incredibly flimsy. I'm going to assume you're a newer player but wait until you get to a higher ranks with teams who know what to do, You'll be seeing ruin destroyed within the first few minutes of a match constantly.
Ruin is very easily countered, If you know it's there walk around the map avoiding the killer until you find it or if you think you can get the skill checks you can try power trough it. Usually Hex totems are easy to see sometimes even out in open fields. A little tip, listen out for the crackling of a lit totem and memorize totem spawns, It's much easier to take out hex perks when you know where to look.
Once it's taken out the killer has to spend the rest of the game with only 3 perks, It's a big risk for the killer.
-
I hope they don't get rid of prayer beads, It's one of the few things in the game left that can actually get experienced players scared. I do think they should make it an ultra rare though.
-
@Skemooo said:
can you still see auras if they are asleep like before? if so then thats a positive aint it?
They said in stream Auras are gone.
-
It's kind of the perfect crossover. In season one of stranger things the Kids fight back against the Monster just like a team in DBD against the killer.
-
New Freddy seems like an overly complicated killer with not that much pay off.
His gen teleport has a huge cooldown and only works on active gens aswell as giving a 5 seconds charge time and notification that he's coming. It's very underwhelming.
Waking up seems to be incredibly easy so his other powers are very situational, not like the snares would be that powerful anyways. The pallets could be fun but My guess is theyll be the new ultra rare add on.
Overall unless you've set up the area with snares and traps Freddy is going to be another M1 loopable killer with nothing to help in an active chase.
-
More killers means more variety and different ways a game can play out. With a Game like DBD where the main objectives and overall gameplay have stayed the same for years more killers are a must.
It's a shame most the killers aren't viable at red ranks though, The game really needs some more variety up there.
-
There's already plenty of tools to use as survivors, Adding more especially a free protection hit would screw up the balance of the game even more.
-
Personally I only buy DLC if I'm sure I'm going to like playing the killer. I've bought killers before who I didn't realize were so weak like the doctor which I never use anymore So i'm a bit cautious.
There's also the fact that new Killers often get changed a lot and sometimes not for the better, like plauge I would've bought her on release but she got nerfed. After that I tend to wait a month or so now to make a decision on if I'm going to get a new DLC or not.

The chase music is such a handicap on the killer now. :(
It has been for such a long time apart from the few weeks were we could finally hear sounds again with the ghostface update, I wish theyd just have low medium and high settings for chase music in the settings, sounds is crucial to killers especially ones like spirit.
-
From what I can tell Chase music is louder
-
It sucks there's so many drawbacks to his power but To be fair being stunned means you've been spotted by the survivor so by the rules of his power it makes sense.
-
There's little to no punishment for DCs so people will continue to do it. It's not going to stop till dedicated servers, that's the sad reality.
-
There's no double standard, just gameplay mechanics that can be used to waste other players time. The whole reason for EGC was because survivors could hold the game hostage for potentially hours while if a Killer were to slug they could hold the game for 4 minutes max.
If anything I'd say both are fair now in terms of minimizing the potential of holding the game hostage.
As much as I'd like a forfeit option instead of DC which would allow you to keep your bloodpoints for situations like this on both sides, With the community DBD has you just know how that would go down. People DC nowadays at any slight inconvenience, You let them keep the bloodpoints while DCing it'd ruin the whole game for everyone thanks to those people.
-
I just want a couple of changes to wraith and he'd be perfect for me.
For one I don't think he should be slowed down when uncloaking. I also think his base speed while cloaked could be buffed.
I'd love if his shimmer was removed but I doubt they'll ever do this so I'd settle for it being ranged like new Freddy so the supposedly invisible killer cant be spotted coming from across the map.
-
It's because most of the Killers can't deal with looping and just have to be an m1 killer, get run around and try to mindgame. After a while this sort of gameplay gets boring especially if there's a lot of safe loops on the map.
Wait until you reach red ranks and you'll understand how detrimental some looping can be to the weaker killers.
-
Sadly yes, The update brought game braking bugs which took way too long to fix, It ruined the experience for me. Not that there was much of an event anyways, Just an event BPS that's hard to come by.
The very least they could've done is make sure the Cakes appeared in every bloodweb like they've done with event offerings before since that's the only real new thing they added for the event.
-
I don't mind the 5 second stun, It's a bit much sure but the real issue I have with the perk is that it gives you a whole minute of immunity after the unhook, In the end game when gates are open if you get a DS off you're basically out the gate for free.
DS should really deactivate if the killer hooks another survivor.
-
It's pretty expensive in my opinion, Killers barely even see their cosmetics so I find those almost pointless but even some of the survivor outfits, You could buy another game for that amount It's crazy.
But hey, apparently people are buying them otherwise they wouldn't keep making them.
-
It's fine leaving it up to RNG, This way they're sometimes too close and sometimes too far.
If They were always far apart people would just camp them instead of going for the hatch and wait it out till the killer finds and closes it or goes to the other door, It'd make for a very boring and long end game play.
-
Monsters sure but again, they'd have to be humanoid in shape, It's just how the games built.
They have to fit trough all the door frames already in place as well as be able to fit trough and vault the windows. Then you have the first person camera on a killer which is another reason most killers share the same general shapes and sizes.

yeah i bought the plague on sale .... i learned from that one. also whats with the downvote fest for the sake of it seems to be going on. i dont mean you just on any post that speaks the truth or common sense
Yeah i really thought about buying her but after her PTB and post PTB nerfs I lost all interest.
The downvotes, Yeah I don't know. It was just my opinion I guess someone doesn't agree.
-
He suffers the same as plague, He has the potential to one shot which on paper seems dangerous but in actuality it takes valuable time to actually get someone into this position and even then they become an m1 killer that can be looped. The both also have no map pressure.
-
Everyone knows the perk is bugged, the devs can see whos running the perk. The perk was hardly ever used before the bug and now it's quite common. I think 1 or 2 games they should give you the benefit of the doubt but after that your intentionally running an exploit.
If we're judging by past actions yes I'd assume and would hope it'd be bannable since not too long ago killers were being banned for an add on combo which was also an exploit.
-
Nope, I don't like killers who's power is in the survivors hands, It's why I never bought plague.
-
They really need to have a good think before they make another stealth killer. The fact that the game is four 3rd person cameras vs one 1st person is a huge difference already, If I had to guess as to why stealth killers get the short end of the stick all the time is because of new players.
Stealth killers do best at low ranks and buffing them so they're more of a threat at red ranks would indirectly buff them in the lower ranks making them even stronger, Personally I don't mind this because with time players rank up and learn to play against killers but the Devs don't share that mindset and believe newer players should have a balanced experience too without having learned how to play against a killer, It's odd.
-
My guess is this is intentional, with other events they made sure that event offerings appeared in every single bloodweb but with this event since it envolves blood points I guess they didn't want people earning too much or stockpiling the cakes, It's a shame.
-
Zone on the survivors screen that ghostface must be in to take him out of stalk.
What I want to know is what it was in % in the first interation of ghostface and what it is now before the additional 8%. Or alternatively a screenshot of survivors screen with the highlighted area would be nice.
-
They really should have made it appear at least once in every bloodweb like they did with other event offerings.
-
It's not a matter of skill. It was intended to be like this from the beginning but survivors found an exploit and now it's been fixed.
-
I really don't understand. Nobody asked for this. They implemented it, People complained and nobody liked it. so instead of removing it, they lessened it's intensity?
-
I would love an offline mode, It'd be great for testing out different killers and perk builds without having to worry
-
I don't mind the 5 second timer when generators are up, but that full minute of immunity in the end game is basically a free escape off hook.
-
It'd be a lot less confusing if they showed a survivors screen and highlighted the area which ghostface has to be in to take him out of stealth, It'd settle a lot of questions.
-
Overall, I'd say Yes.
It now only counts towards pallets but they made the pallet stun a small fraction shorter.
-
Maybe a little quite but honestly it's so much better i personally like it, I can actually hear hats going on around me again.
-
As of right now he seems Mid/High this will most likely change though as players get used to playing him but we'll see.
-
Mclean has said multiple times that he think the Grind is good for the game. He brings up the fact that when people were compensated with millions of blood points they stopped playing the game soon after.
Personally I disagree and think that a Grind shouldn't be the thing keeping your players playing the game, the actual game should do that on it's own. The Grind is insane and I really feel for newer players, I hope one day it gets addressed.
-
You underestimate how badly scratch marks are needed in this game, Everyone would be running around everywhere are just hide in a dark corner or bush once the killer comes. It'd be like death garden.. Nooo thank you.
-
I get what you mean, The player base of this game is probably the worst I've ever played in.
Thankfully I have my profile on private and you have the option to close the chat but It's insane that especially when playing Killer you get insults and threats thrown your way all the time, It's very discouraging. I think a lot of the player base take the game way too seriously and a lot actually enjoy being toxic. I wish the Devs would crack down on toxicity a bit more.
-
As much as I hate to say it a Nerf is most likely coming in my opinion, The Detection is too wonky as it is right now and that's whats making him strong.
There will be multiple complaints on his release about survivors staring, pointing even being picked up by ghostface and not deactivating his power which is the case with his buff. My Guess is the devs will wait a month for sales to drop then nerf/fix the detection putting him back in a weak spot.
That's the problem with a power designed like ghostface is he's weak by design, Having the detection be part of his power makes him outright weak. He;s only decent now because it's not working properly.
It's three 3rd person cameras vs one 1st person. He was doomed from the beginning.
-
There's nothing on your end you can do, If the survivors DC in a high percentage of their games, I think it's 50%(?) then It gets taken care of automatically. so if they DC ever 3rd game they're safe sadly...
This'll change when dedicated servers come around but until then that's the best we got.
