Or it only activates when you would body block. Aka when you would've received a WGLF stack from body blocking essentially. A body block perk I can get behind but ANOTHER chase extender I cannot.
-
I found this bug as well. Made Mend start taking 1 minute to do...lol
-
Sounds good. The perk is a good idea but I agree, its current numbers just make it trash.
-
The speed at which new killers come out seems good.

Corrupt Intervention is pretty good. It does what Ruin should do, without RNG or dependency on survivorskill. While it cant carry games if it spawns well, it also cant break at the start.
It prevents 3 gens popping with the first chase and thats pretty good. But mind, i refuse to use Ruin and it still is the stronger perk.
This is assuming at least one of them is bad and you get a chase. Smart survivors won't do anything and just wait till its over so that the extra time you got from those is meaningless. It basically just delays the start of the game gaining you nothing.
-
You just need to practice more.
Huntress also requires a lot of practice to get good with.
-
This is highly uninformed.
Ruin on every rank is meaningless at any high level. That change is only helping new players.
The Thanataphobia buff never went through if you actually read the patch notes.
Corrupt Intervention is quite bad against any competent survivors. They just wait till it's over and then you're playing with 3 perks for nothing.
DS even after its rework is still an S tier perk and if anything too strong imo.
-
Wow that would be cool. Looks expensive though.
-
This sums up A LOT of my games. It seriously is an epidemic. It's bad enough we're forced to slug because of the broken hatch mechanic that doesn't get fixed, but even when we do that, they plug pull to give it anyway. Very annoying and has been going unpunished for far, far too long.

Whenever you're unhooked by someone with BT, you'll have 15 seconds in which you have the endurance status effect, the time where you'll enter deep wound if attacked. DS should match the 15 seconds of BT to prevent survivors from abusing the timer. However, the DS timer will pause while in a chase or while in the dying state.
Oh so basically a 15 second timer but it will pause in chase or on the ground. i'd be fine with that.

Give him the stone and stitched bag at base. Then he'd be looking decent. That's how below par he is right now.

if it is to strong with the reveal then maybe remove the obsession part and just make it trigger on all survivors, but this perk needs a change/buff along with many other perks.
Make it keep the cooldown but work on any survivor? I like that.
It would then be activating enough to be worth it. Plus, to even get use out of that it means you are hitting a survivor and letting them go each time. So it incentivizes the killer not to tunnel. That sounds like good design to me. Bonus of giving some cool new synergy with the other TR perks that normally aren't worth using.
@not_Queen What do you think of this change for Dark Devotion?

If the timer was match the 15 seconds of invulnerability period before BT then I'll be okay with the timer pausing while in a chase or while in the dying state. How does that sound @Blueberry?
"If the timer was match the 15 seconds of invulnerability period before BT"
Not sure what you mean by this.
I'd be fine with the timer pausing while in a chase or while in the dying state IF the perk deactivated when a different survivor was downed.
-
@KingB said:
@Blueberry I'd like to see that implemented regardless tbh. 60 seconds is way to generous for an anti tunnel perk. Borrowed time is like a 1/4 of that.
Yup, rather than an anti tunnel perk it's currently just a 60 second immunity perk.
-
Yeah it needs something. In its current state it just isn't that good. The 20 seconds isn't long enough and there shouldn't even be a cooldown on it. I mean it only activates on the obsession and to get anything out of it you are literally letting him go and just hoping to find someone else. The benefit doesn't out way the cost. Maybe refresh the duration if you are able to land a hit on another survivor while it's still active? Like I said, something. The idea is cool but it just isn't enough, which ironically describes most killer perks.
-
@KingB said:
Chased no, downed yes. BUT only if it deactivates if the killer injures or downs another survivor.
I'd take that trade, seems fair.
-
@xChrisx said:
I understand this scenario, but when i run this perk every time i cant use it, NOT because the killer doesnt tunnel, but because im good to loop and when im downed i cant use it
If you really looped him off the hook for over 60 seconds then that just cost him probably 2 gens since the other survivors were free to work on them...that's already a punishment in itself and not worth it for him. Also, the devs didn't intend for chases to go for 1minute+ so that in itself also illustrates a problem.
-
@xChrisx said:
Im a 60% killer side and 40 surv(rank 1)
The perk its still useless against tunnelers.
Btw why are u saying it should be nerfed?
Just as @tt_ivi_99 said, it punishes people who aren't tunneling as well. That is my biggest issue with it. The timer needs to be reduced or the perk shut off once a different survivor is downed. Either of those scenarios would ensure it only affects tunnelers, of which is currently does not.
-

Be honest for one time little killer main, if u hate it you are probably a tunneler
Firstly, I don't tunnel.
Secondly, I'm not a killer main. I play both sides at rank 1, of which I'm sure you do not.
-
If anything it should be nerfed, not buffed.

It could literally be as simple as just re using other cosmetics they've already made and just throw a different color tint on them. Barely any additional work at all.
Also could just use those glow effects we had from the last event.

Wrong, wrong and wrong.
- Puke til broken.Hit. Do not allow an unhook. Done>
- 99% EW3. Down and hook. Do not allow an unhook. Done (I've always done this anyway)
- I said nothing about ambush (which isn't her real power) i mean RBT's which are eually good at making you unable to escape whether you can be downed or not. Unless you're bad and play 'fair.
- That's still counting 1 hit, assuming you down every time and that's not using her Corrupted Plague, which without it you are getting looped to oblivion against any survivor that's half competent.
- Yeah because expecting a EW3 down on every survivor for every single one of their hooks is totally realistic. It's not. We are talking against actual players, not potatoes.
- RBT's aren't helping you counter MoM in any shape or form. You're seriously gonna count an RBT kill as your MoM counter? Really? That's a stretch and not happening against any non potatoes.
None of these are valid counters.
-
@BigBlackMori said:
I feel bad for other Killers, but i laugh when i remember that I main Myers, Plague and Pig. None of whom give two shits about MoM. I don't blame them for just saying '######### it' after all these years of being ignored.
MoM works on Corrupted Plague, most of Myers and all of Pig except for Ambush and let's be honest, if you are landing that many ambushes you are playing against potatoes anyway. All three of those killers are terrible for handling MoM against competent players.
-
I mean this is literally your second time posting this topic and I even put a thought out response to it that you didn't even respond to in your last one. It honestly doesn't seem like you even want solutions and that you just want to rant about how wrong the ranting people are. It would be more genuine if you were just honest with your post instead of going under a guise of misrepresentation to get pats on the back from people who agree with you from acting like you're being reasonable with the whole situation when the opposite is more true.
Also, both of those changes you brought up would do almost nothing and are hardly a drawback.

@NoShinyPony said:
The downside is probably supposed to be that you are more likely to suffer from the killer's obsession perks (if they use one). You make yourself the target of Rancor etc.
This is basically it.
The problem is "most" of the killer obsessions perks are bad bar a couple and even then, "okay" perks killers can't afford to run. This leaves the survivor ones with no downsides. Bar a Rancor for example there is nothing of a downside to being the obsession.
-
They released it without a PTB. It was kind of brought on themselves.

Very neat. Different powers, I thought about it being a pure mobility tool and having his M2 be something unto itself, but it shows the thematic has an intuitive quality.
Yeah, I think the lockers being used as a killer mechanic for travel is a neat idea. We've also learned that unless the killers power somehow counters looping, he's always gonna get stuck to mid tier. Obvious exception in Billy, but that's just because he's busted in every other area to compensate.
A locker grab ability would actually flip lockers into something that scares the survivors and I think that would be interesting.

The memento mori needs to be something more than it currently is ... it can be put to good use as a unique killer tool for X actions that take place in the game.
That will cause that by X actions of the survivor or X actions of the killer a mori in game or several is executed.
"The memento mori needs to be something more than it currently is"
Why?
I also don't think a built in mori system is what we need to slow down the games. That is an artificial slow down without any actual other objectives. Without other objectives added this would be forcing them to sit on their butts and twittle their thumbs watching a clock until they can continue.
-
Just needs to be removed from the offerring screen so people down know it was used. That's all it needs imo. I don't think mori's need nerfs.

So simply because everyone cant play as well as others, that means the killers potential is nonexistent? If anything it just shows that lower skilled killers want an easier time with the 4k. If any one person can do it as a killer at r1, it's possible. Period.
If you dont want to put that much practice and work in but still want r1 4k, play nurse or billy?
It being "possible" has nothing to do with what we're talking about at all.
"that means the killers potential is nonexistent?"
No, it just means if both sides are equally skilled you will lose every time. The survivors have to make a lot of mistakes for you to win, even if you yourself are playing perfectly.
If you want to argue how balanced nurse is that can be another conversation, but to say "If you dont want to put that much practice and work in but still want r1 4k, play nurse" is just stupid. Nurse takes a lot of skill to learn.

@Blueberry If i hop on DbD and don't 4k every game like Zubat it's because i'm bad and the survivors were better than me.
It's not the killers it's the player and good survivors out-skilling me.
Both sides played perfectly you will lose every single game. That isn't balance.

@Blueberry Seriously go watch Zubat. 4ks 8 hours straight with every killer he plays in rotation at rank 1
The average survivor is a potato. That doesn't mean all killers are great. Correlation, not causation. Instead of thinking you know things from watching someone play, actually get there yourself and you'll understand.
-
Said every low rank
-
I thought you were gonna say rank 1 viable killers.
-
This fixes some of his movement and map pressure issues but does nothing to address actually downing people. He's still stuck as a huntress with no hatchets trying to down someone. Bar very rare addons just Feral Frenzying someone to death is unviable in how long it takes and unfun for both parties, much less no counter. If his power doesn't down people he needs 115% move speed at base. His power is only supplementary, he can't rely on it.
-
I personally think it's stronger than old DS on release as well. Totally busted.

@Dabrownman1812 said:
Missing the point. Secondary attacks prevents it from charging quick. One hit from a secondary and one M1 makes it so it never comes into play if you down them in those chases because it will have 3 stacks when they are already down for death hook. Hitting twice with secondary makes no mettle of man charges and gives you downs. Not all killers have secondary attacks or exposed like meyers/clown but they tend to be lower tier anyway. Rip them. The way they are pushing the ranking, higher tier killers eat mettle of man players up by not letting it proc often anyway.
"if you down them in those chases"
That is the key part here though. There are enough "safe" spots that you have give up and break chase to not lose all your pressure that this is unreliable. Yeah you'll have times it doesn't activate because of this, but I think those are much less likely to happen than you're presenting. This is also assuming it's even one of the killers that has a secondary downing option which in itself limits that chance tremendously.
"The way they are pushing the ranking, higher tier killers eat mettle of man players up by not letting it proc often anyway."
This is part of the problem in that it's just forcing us to play those few top tier killers even more than we already were and like you said, this is even more punishing to the low tier killers that were already low to begin with.

Just imagine having Dying Light and someone who's about to be sacrificed becomes your obsession. The same applies to Remember me and you can get one more stack before they are downed. Becoming the obsession when you're about to be sacrificed can play into the killer's hands.
Well to have it potentially be useful the killer would have to be running an obsession perk and "most" of the killer obsession perks are trash or mediocre. Yeah Dying Lying could activate in your favor but then another DS could activate and you just lost it as easily as you got it. Probably not many gens left by that point either. Yeah you could just not "tunnel" but that goes back to my core issue with DS in that isn't only activating against "tunnelers".
-
@ShaneQ said:
This is an awful idea. Its an anti tunnelling perk.
Instead you want the survivor to be exposed each time the killer hooks someone else? And lose the perk if they go down exposed? That's crazy.
It isn't an anti tunnel perk. That has never been said.
-
More killers to be rank 1 viable.
-
Fun but weak. Not rank 1 viable. So essentially disappointing.
-
Still bad. They need to make it a few seconds of aura, not a location ping. A location ping is just trash.

Just thought about a genius idea, what if DCing also caused you to receive 50% less shards and BP?
Perhaps after DCing 3 times within a 24 hour period could cause you to suffer the penalty for the remainder of the day. Would that be enough assuming we add queue penalties as well?
I'd prefer the wait times. People that plug pull don't care about BP's or Shards. That wouldn't bother them I believe.

Yeah I've been saying this for weeks. Everyone turns it into an arguement of "what about accidental dcs" and it falls apart.
It works in R6, LoL, Rocket League.
Why not at least try it here. The only ones that would leave on its TESTING are the ones who abuse it anyway.
Yeah the system we are describing is used in almost every other game and works very well. There are the "bug" DC's at the load screen but those aren't the ones we're referring to. Most of the DC's are intentional ones that happen as soon as they get downed.

Proxy camper comes to the hook and one shots the rescuer (whether it’s actual one shot or they were injured), then goes after the DS guy who was unhooked. If what you are saying is that original hooked guy should no longer have the 60 sec DS window...no way.
If it's a proxy camp then you can make saves without either of you getting hit in the first place, much less a one shot. Why are we even counting a one shot in this scenario any way? Those are fringe killers in fringe situations with fringe addons. Also, I'm not sure why an injured person is going for a save in the first place. A lot of the time that is a miss play. In MOST scenarios the saver will need 2 hits.
The situation you are describing is a bad play on the survivors part. If that had been played properly it wouldn't have been tunneling.
