That's why it shouldn't be a timer at all. It should last until 1 gen is completed. This basically turns it into a pseudo early 3 gen strat. Now THAT would actually make the perk good. Currently it's just wasted because they simply wait it out and the killer gains nothing.
-
Ruin isn't even that good, it's just the best we have by far. The games are too fast not to use it.
Also, rank 1 is still too easy to get to currently. If you are still stuck at 10 then you aren't having games as successful as you are letting on, or you're just getting kills from NOED.
-
It's just your rank. You need to practice more. Killers in this game are quite weak.
-
TLDR: She's great against low rank idiots and weak against rank 1 people who know how to loop.
This covers like 95% of the games killers.
-
This is something I've actually been wanting a lot. Some more "creaturish" type killers. They said they wanted to stick to humanoid killers, but they've also changed their mind on many of the things they said they wouldn't ever do. I also wonder how far you could stretch "humanoid" to.
-
All of the killers. It's mainly for collection purposes. Nothing else to spend the blood points on.
-
It's because the devs refuse to buff the rest the killers to rank 1 viable so we're forced to use the same ones over and over.
-
The auras are almost invisible, it's pretty bad.
-
It literally doesn't deserve either of the negatives attached to it. Simply remove those negatives and now it's decently strong. That's all it needs.
In its current state it feels like crap and I'd rather just use good green addons that I actually have control over.
-
There are no OP killer builds any more, much less perks themselves.
-
This idea has already been suggested over and over. The majority of people couldn't care less about extra blood points for facing SWF. They just don't want to face them. it isn't fun or fair for the killer. They would rather get less blood points and have a fun game.
-
I'm extremely glad it's back and I hope it stays.
-
Honestly with survivors already having the third person advantage the red stain shouldn't even exist.

If the game was really in shambles and you don't recommend it to anyone you wouldn't have over a thousand posts on the forums much less play it.
Oh yes, how dare BHVR add EVEN MORE cosmetics that people want to the game "without a care in the world".

The developers ARE trying to balance the game. Maybe you're new or something? This game is far, far more balanced than it has been in the past. That said, it is the nature of an asynchronous game that it isn't going to be "balanced." What is balance in a game like this? Where you win every time? Or where every situation is the exact same so you never have to switch up your methods? In my games there is a fair distribution of wins and losses and even those are never cut and dry and I believe that's balance.
Instead of whining about balance we should focus on actual issues, namely the rates of DCs and three man lobbies, things that actually can mess up the experience.
Maybe you're new to the game and havn't realized how bad the balance actually is. I've been playing since release with 3,400 hours and rank 1 on both sides on every reset.
"The developers ARE trying to balance the game"
Around low ranks, which is where the issue lies.
"In my games there is a fair distribution of wins and losses and even those are never cut and dry and I believe that's balance."
The difference is being able to actually realize why you won or lost. Most of the time you are winning at rank 1 is because the survivors were playing like potatoes. Both sides played well you are losing every time bar exceptions like nurse, ultra rares, etc. Maybe you're just playing at low ranks though and this just explains your results in itself.
"Instead of whining about balance we should focus on actual issues, namely the rates of DCs and three man lobbies, things that actually can mess up the experience."
No one is whining. We are posting actual issues with the game. DC's are already being addressed come dedicated servers and 3 man lobbies have already been fixed if you read patch notes.

I get the impression that they aren't making as much money from the store and DLC's as they had hoped seeing as both can be acquired for the most part through play time. It seems they are trying to find a way to make more money.
I personally think a big reason they aren't making as much is because a lot of people (myself included) don't want to financially support them until they actually start balancing the game properly. Nothing else seems to work, so maybe speaking with our wallets will. Money isn't an issue for me at all and I like to financially support the games I play even when I could use in game currency, but I and many others just don't want to do that until we see actual good changes for the games health.
TLDR: They need more money coming in and those changes you mentioned are just one way they are looking to do that. Based on the survey it seems they're looking at a couple others as well.
(bunny feng, yes please)

She already has an extreme advantage compaired to other survivors. She even needs her base clothes brightened. I can get away with so many things on her that would never happen on any other survivor.
-
I'd personally like some better skins for Spirit. So far all of them have been bad to me and not my taste at all. I want a skin that really makes her look different, not just like she threw on a different shirt or skirt that day of the week.
Example: Blighted skin for Huntress. It actually makes her look very different. That's the level of change I'm looking for.
-
I really loved this idea. Hell they could throw like a shard or BP reward for the community skins they choose. This would be a nice little incentive for those types of skin creators.
-
Survival rate at rank 1 when NOED is not used across each killer.

both the one from the forum and the one from the steam hub have been removed.. hmm..
Exactly.
If this was their normal action for false new chapter ideas that would be one thing. However, they don't normally remove them, so this is out of their normal behavior.

If they delete false information, people assume it to be true because "Why would they try to hide it otherwise?". If they don't delete false information, people still assume it to be true because "Why wouldn't they deny it otherwise?". And if they do deny it, people won't believe them. Can you see why there might be a problem when your conclusion is the same regardless of the evidence?
This is just incorrect.
"If they don't delete false information, people still assume it to be true"
People post random ideas for next killers all the time without it being assumed it's the next.
"If they delete false information, people assume it to be true"
This is because they don't normally delete these new killer idea posts in the past. This isn't their normal action and is out of the norm.
"Can you see why there might be a problem when your conclusion is the same regardless of the evidence?"
If this was their normal set of actions I would agree with you, however it's not.
-
The fact that they deleted the last post that was showing this confirms its validity in my mind. Pinhead is definitely the next DLC.
-
It's pretty trash. The only time it's even semi useful can be at a loop and even that's not much. Only an idiot or low rank is getting hit by her ambush. It just isn't good enough. 99% of the time you are better off just uncrouching and going for the hit, which in itself tells you it's pretty bad.
-
They nerfed a killer who was already weak and needed buffs.
-
They nerfed a killer who was already not that strong and needed some small buffs. These balance decisions don't make any sense.
-
Against good survivors you will lose every time. That's just how it is. Survivors will complain if you play "sweaty" but in reality you have to if you want to actually win. Playing "fair" costs you the game. The game just isn't balanced well at all, but this nothing new.
-
The perk was already pretty bad before and now it's just trash. Not only did they reduce the opening time, but if anything the time should have been increased. These balance changes make no sense at all.
-
woah what is this. There a quite a few killer nerfs in those notes that were not initially mentioned. That's not even counting the nerf to Remember Me..which was already arguably not that good to begin with. What's with nerfing the Pig as well, who was already just a mid tier killer. So many terrible changes.

Its only easy if you're playing Claudette Noobell, since everyone who plays her is selfish af, and she is hard to spot.
I'm not referring to playing claudette at all. That said, I do agree she needs her clothes brightened as she is broken compared to the other survivors.

Solo players its hard since they nerf alot on survivor the thing its swf its ez while solo players struggle theres a good solution 1 debuff speed repair only on swf that enter but not the solo players now i dont know how many % would work but this is my idea that could work
Solo survivor is not a struggle, it's quite easy. The majority having trouble is because of their own skill level. I depip MAYBE 1 out of 10 games and even that's a stretch. That's not me bragging either, solo survivor is still just too easy right now.

Doubtful. The release of MoM shows they are one of two things when it comes to balance, Either they don't know how to balance or they don't care. Neither are very good options.
This sums it up well.
-
Hardly.

The point is to close the gap between solo and swf so we can balance better the survivor side.
I know what your point is and I'm saying that doing that alone is a mistake.
-
I don't think solo survivor needs buffs unless you had killer buffs coming alongside this since you're trying to bring solo's to swf.

@Blueberry I try to play stealthy but losing the killer take a lot of thinking and strategy so looping is easier. Haddonfield is a good example of stealth being more viable with all the LOS breakers. That is why I love it so much. :)
Yeah i enjoy haddonfield a lot as well for that reason lol
-
I would actually kinda like this. You'd know they actually earned that rank with that killer and not just spamming nurse.
-
@GrootDude said:
I’m not a killer main, but I would like stealth to be more viable. Maybe decrease scratchmarks staying to five seconds and making maps darker (not including the basement, I feel for the Freddy mains with the old basement lighting.)
I don't think scratch marks are the issue. The limiting factor on stealth right now is terrible map design. There needs to be way more objects, grass, reeds, boxes etc to break line of sight mid chase and make jukes. Currently making jukes and losing the survivor is only happening if the killer is just dumb or intentionally letting them go.
Stealth also isn't utlized because looping is just too strong. Why stealth when looping is just faster and better? Looping needs to be weakened and maps improved for stealth.
-
They aren't really mad at you for looping, they're mad at the developers for allowing looping to go on this long in its broken state.
-
This is the second buff to BT after I already considered it an S tier perk. This is getting a little out of hand.
-
Keys are fine how they are and mori's don't need changing.
-
Favorite: Winter Solstice
Least Favorite: Legion theme

Camping and tunneling aren't fun for anyone and I'd like them gone as well. That said, they are a symptom of the games imbalance. If killers were actually made strong, we'd see a lot less of those things. Bar some off exceptions, if you play fair in the current games balance as a killer, you lose.
-
Touching a fire barrel makes their aura remain visible to you. Higher ranks of the perk would increase the level of warmth you get from standing by them.
-
They camp and tunnel because the game isn't balanced. If they balanced the game those things would go down tremendously. With the games current balance if you play fair, you lose. Bar obvious exceptions like nurse, ultra rares, survivors just playing like potatoes, etc.
-
You can't fix lobby dodging until you fix the reason people dodge. The dodge is the symptom, not the disease. The game is poorly balanced. If you fix that lobby dodging will go down. The killer doesn't know for example if it's a swf or not, so he dodges to play it safe.
-
This was my thought as well. The majority of the player base doesn't use the forums, so how will they know any better?
