Yes because a ranged insta down is really fair, no other killer in the game has a ranged insta down and even Clown has to hit you to give you the exposed effect. You've also got the no skill proxy camping Huntresses with Iri.
It'd be like a solo player dropping a pallet and stunning the killer 15 meters behind them or a flashlight aimed at a far away killer and the blind goes off.
I never said it was fair. However, neither is swf. That's my point.
Also like I said earlier, it's an ultra rare.

True, but don't you think, maybe, they would have rolled out at least a small solution by now? no matter how small?
They usually wait until the whole thing is done as a package. Their changes also come very, very, very slowly.

Just give deep wounds whenever they are sick. Mending only refreshes the deep wound timer (to delay getting down'd by deep wounds) until they fully cure themselves from fountain
I mean that's an option as well. There are a few things they could do. It just needs to be something strong enough so that not using the fountain looks like a worse option.

This /\... like mikey's addons are decent.... but then you get a loss of MS... like they are UR they should have next too no draw back
To me they are kind of that extra back up we have to pull out to try and even the playing field some when you know you're going against a swf squad.

Oooh I like this idea! :D
Just to clarify tho the fountains would still fix broken status and get rid of your sickness, but you'd still be injured and need to heal up yes?
Yes exactly lol
I also think this would be enough to get her to rank 1 viability as well.
-
I think they should increase just the amount of puke at base it takes to get someone into broken status(which would in turn affect the addons you're speaking of ). Then at the same time remove the heal from fountains and add a slower action speed on gens if infected and broken. This incentivizes survivors to use fountains and also doesn't let her lose her pressure when they do. Now she can be played as more of a spread pressure slow down killer rather than just tunneling into each person which is what we have now. More fun for all and fits her thematically.
-
I'd rather keep killers unique and not copy others. I think his blurred vision from gas should be much more extreme.
-
Pretty close to my tier list as well.

Supposedly they are working on extra objectives to be completed in order to slow the game down, but that's been like a year+ in production so who knows where they're at.

It's an ultra rare, it should be strong. That's also not half their games.
-
They wouldn't do jokes that cost this much money. So no, it isn't an April Fools.
-
I don't think it needs a rework. I think other ultra-rares need to be brought up to its level.

Can you elaborate? I find it awesome to hit them and instaphase saving them from gaining a lot of distance.
Well if you are instaphasing right after hitting them then you didn't use it to get your first hit. That means you ran them down for a while. Survivors that are even half competent aren't getting ran down by a huntress with no hatchets. This means you are generally landing your first hit from a spirit phase against actually good survivors. This also means it won't be off cooldown after that hit. So essentially STBFL doesn't work well on Spirit unless you're playing against potatoes.
-
A rank 1 viable killer.
-
I think it's pretty good on most killers. Spirit is actually one of the few killers I think it's bad on.

Okay, what I got from this is that survivors need more incentive to actually cure themselves from the sickness. The pallet issue is more based on the amount of poorly designed maps such as Coldwind and Ormond. A lot of maps need reworks. How would you give survivors more reasons to cure? Action speed debuff? Hindered while vomiting?
I think map design is at the core of a lot of problems. Unfortunately I don't see them fixing that, so we're left balancing around the assumption we're just stuck with it and have to make it work.
Either a repair speed debuff or maybe a split second animation pause during vomit animations(make it even more dangerous to stay broken as this would make you less able to pallet loop).
-
Lightweight looks barely even noticeable.

Let me ask you something, how do you think Plague could be improved on other than my movement speed proposition? What do you think her downsides and upsides are?
I think the fountain heal needs to be removed and some kind of extra penalty for staying broken to incentivize using the fountains. In tandem with this they can also increase the amount of puke needed to transition someone into broken. This actually incentivizes her to spread pressure with her plague rather than just tunneling into one guy which is what we have right now. It fits her more thematically and is more fun for both sides.
These changes I think would make her rank 1 viable but still not better than say Spirit and most killers and survivors alike generally consider Spirit as one of the most balanced killers while also being rank 1 viable, so I believe that's a good point to aim for.
Most rank 1's just ignore using fountains which means a very fast gen rush as without healing or going to use fountains she has zero map pressure. Yes now they are all broken and can be one shot, but between the vast amount of pallets available and zero time wasted on healing or going to fountains they have more than enough time to get the gates powered before even 3/4 of the pallets are used.
Now inversely sometime you get a group that does use the fountains. Now you have a discount huntress ability and a tiny bit of time wasted going to fountains, but once again with fountains healing you have no map pressure again which leads to fast gens. This is still a better scenario for you than the first, but not rank 1 viable great.
I honestly don't think she really has much upsides. Her Corrupted Puke if she actually gets it is easier to use than Huntresses but less powerful, that's about it. Having the survivors control if she gets her power isn't a good design idea.

People need to play both roles at a profficient level to gain better understanding of balance issues. And *then*, maybe, start threads about balance issues. Failing to do that, only guarantees outlandish requests for buffs or nerfs and endless whining.
Survivor mains crying about this and that: I challenge you to pick any killer and take it to R1 for 3 months straight. R5 in the new system if you want, let's have some slack. Start with the terrorizing overpowered unfair Nurse. See if it's easy as you all say, to destroy everyone. Then take Wraith, Piggy, whoever you want. Take them to the red ranks and keep them there for 3 seasons.
Killer mains crying about this and that: I challenge you to pick any survivor (they're skins, anyway) and do the same. But go *solo*. Everyone knows you can get carried all the way to the reds with SWF.
After this, come back and read your own old threads.

"you went too far with buffing killers to the point that every single match is now an atrocity"
Wrong.
"I played 17 games today as survivor, I escaped 3... I BAD WORD escaped three times."
This is a skill issue. I'm escaping probably 90% of my games at red ranks.
"pls make this game fun for survivor as well ..."
I think you are mixing up the word survivor with killer.
Points 1 and 2 are the only ones with any actual validity to them and I can agree on.

@JetTheWaffleCat said:
She's fine how she is right now. I'd just say give her 115% movement speed while holding Vile and 110% while holding Corrupt. Most survivors don't want to be injured with a 115% movement speed killer with Enduring and Spirit Fury. I personally think she's around mid-high tier when played correctly.
"She's fine how she is right now." "she's around mid-high tier when played correctly"
These can't go in the same response as they are contradictory. If she's fine then she wouldn't be mid tier and if she's mid tier she isn't fine. Mid tier isn't rank 1 viable. That means you're only winning if the survivors are potatoes.

... but don't killer mains always claim that you shouldn't pip if you stomp the other side because pips should only be granted if you were actually challenged in a game and proved yourself worthy of a pip? At least that's what they always told me when I was unhappy with the original emblem system when I stomped killer after killer after killer at low ranks as survivor and didn't pip.
If that is how it should be for survivors it should be the same for killers. No challenge, no pip.
I've literally never heard a single person ever say that and I've put a lot of hours into this game. Also, if matchmaking is actually putting you against people correctly at your rank then you are going against the correct difficulty of people and thus should be rewarded even if you stomp them.

As much as I hate Legion, I want my Freddy rework first. THEY PROMISED HE WAS NEXT!
I can get behind that
-
I'd generally agree. That said, an unfortunate said effect of the changes is that is punishes the killer when he does extremely well, like a 4k with zero gens done. When you do that well it "looks" like you just camped your kills, even if you didn't at all.
So some small tweaking but I like it as well.

Legion changes coming? https://clips.twitch.tv/SilkyTacitWoodcockPRChase
This is exciting to see. His design is just broken fundamentally and needs quite the rework. I wonder if we'll get a PTB or if it's just gonna be rolled out like Ash.
-
She is weak and needs buffs, but this might be a little too much.
Just remove the heal on fountains and make the infection more penalizing so that survivors actually need to use the fountains. That might be accomplished with an action speed penalty but there's a few others as well. It needs something though.
I think those changes wouldn't get her as strong as Spirit of course, but she'd at least be rank 1 viable then.
Her bloodpoint gains are low as mentioned as well though. Her Brutality gain is very, very low and her hunter is slightly too low.
-
Killer feels almost perfect to me. They just need to fix how you pip when you decimate the survivors and kill them too quickly to gain pips.
Survivor is probably "slightly" too hard, and I mean slightly. Even with this new system the only time I'm really ever depiping is when there's a DC on our team, which is happening a lot unfortunately. There's the occasional facecamp for a depip but it's not that often.
I'm just worried they're gonna get too heavy handed and make it easy again which is what I don't want.
-
No.

If every Killer were to have their Mori animations increase a few seconds as part of a balance change, like them saying that Moris should waste more time because you're taking someone out of the game, then i could understand it.
But what bothers me about the length is that we have all these Moris that are just way shorter.
It's too different.
I assume along with this change we would add an equally long animation to insta heals correct?

Those who say Whispers is not that great... ARE WRONG!
If the Killer has it, no matter how good you are at Stealth, you will not escape.
I could have escaped again if it hadn't been for this DISGUSTING🌡️ Perk.
We were playing on Autoheaven against a Nurse. She had Whispers (her first pick obviously), NOED (I have nothing against this one), A Nurse's Calling and BBQ&Chilli (those two are perfectly fine too). The others died pretty fast and I was left alone with 4 Generators. I don't blame them - it was a Nurse afterall. The Nurse's weakness is supposed to be Stealth. But what if she equips detection Perks like most Nurses do ? She will become nearly unstoppable (if she has Whispers and she's skilled then she WILL be unstoppable).
The match lasted around 25 minutes. I was trying to hide in the area of a Generator, keeping my distance, and start repairing it after she had already patroled. If she hadn't gotten Whispers, thanks to my Left Behind Perk, I would have been able to repair the Generator in 40 seconds while she was gone and the Hatch would have spawned.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/783/CZYTPUD3D19I.jpg
Whispers completely ruined this strategy. Luckily I kept my distance and I managed to leave the area. I was able to dodge her this way a couple to times during the match.
She saw me twice but I succeeded in loosing her.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/139/CPT2WCUWPX7J.jpg
All this effort was pointless as she always interrupted me at the Gens; even Left Behind wasn't good/fast enough. Basically, her Whispers, which is ONE perk, countered my FOUR Stealth Perks. How is this fair ? That was my best shot.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/557/1ILOLHIZH399.jpg
After 25 minutes of doing this, I died. The Stealth player should be able to win on his/her own, regardless of what their teammates are doing. As long as Whispers is a thing (as well as other detection Perks/Abilities/Addons that have no SOLID counter) this will not be possible. As I have already mentioned, if Calm Spirit were buffed, so as to counteract such game mechanics (no matter how "situational" they may seem to the Killer mains; today I had to deal with 8 Whispers users), it would fix some Stealth issues.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/795/B54UZN596X3C.jpg
(Sorry for the bad quality, I'm playing on low 🤣)
By the way...
"Based on your opinions I'm assuming this experience is at least rank 10 or lower."
Before this patch I used to be Rank 1. Since the new patch I have had the chance to play for a few hours in the last two days and I am Rank 8 at the moment.
"Those who say Whispers is not that great... ARE WRONG! "
This isn't what anyone in this thread is saying whatsoever. What we are saying is that is does not ruin stealth play as a survivor and that there are multiple counters. You need to play more killer and actually use this perk some. You will understand how completely wrong you are here. If whispers causes you this much trouble and you really think it isn't counterable, you need to get better at survivor.
-
"Please, tell me how many hours you need to get to 9000 sharps."
Well since Plagues release I've already made around 6 or 8k shards. That's like 10 days. I wasn't really looking at my hours during that time but it gives a rough idea.
"Also I'm building some data for the money part, but this take time."
That's fair, but if that's the case then don't make that as an argument in your post until you do actually have that data because otherwise you are just making assumptions.
-
It's working I already got it.
-
Yeah I'm not sure about the increased minimum of 8 either. I mean seriously, I don't think I've ever seen anywhere even remotely close to pallet numbers as low as 8. Lowest was probably around 12-15 at least with the average being more than that.
-
As a killer the corn maps and red forest variations are brutal and need tweaking.
As survivor I don't think any of them are really that bad.
For both sides I don't think most of the Autohaven maps are well designed. There's no hiding, no juking, just a crap tons of pallets. Not fun.

Thanks you for your comments @Blueberry .
Game balance and gameplay mechanics are two differents things, balance are really based on items / perk most of the time (for dbd).
Gameplay mechanics can interfere on game balance but balance cannot interfere with gameplay mechanics.
Balance is a to much complex topic for DBD and i don't want to abord this topic for now.
I would like to give a chance or opportunity to change or adapt the "camping" killer.
Give to "camping" killer another goal more interesting.
To talk about price, DBD is a cheap in development, but not at the cost.
I would love to pay more for all character, and leave the market place for skin only.
They are already making lot of money DBD is already funded since long time ago.
You talk about shards but come on, you need to farm the game really hard to get 1 character, and the time spend to farm this is not free at all.
They need to think about market option to gain money without prevent user who buy the game, to play the game.
I understand if English isn't your first language but this is barely legible.
I also understand that you may be a new player, but " but balance cannot interferewith gameplay mechanics." is simply not accurate.
"you need to farm the game really hard to get 1 character"
I disagree.
"They are already making lot of money DBD is already funded since long time ago."
"To talk about price, DBD is a cheap in development, but not at the cost."
Unless you actually have some data you can link on this showing their company I don't know how you could possibly know this.

Because you never use them, there is no way running consistently a build with the dream transition addons, just like it is impossible to consistently play with insta heal in yoru builds
Well for one they aren't essential for his slugging build as I've said. Also, I use purples regularly on Spirit for example and I get enough in the web to maintain those levels consistently if you keep putting the points you gain into them. Maybe not an 100% uptime, but at least 75%

Exaggerating? I still remember truetalent trying to play freddy on stream but he wanted exactly that addon, he had to go through 3 complete bloodweb and in the 4th there was one. That is a lot above 100k
Also I challenge you, next time you wanna spend BP on freddy, save up 1kk and make a video of how much you get =)
You aren't understanding.
Having to spend 100k going through other offerings and addons to find one isn't included in the cost because that is getting you the other addons and offerings as well. The only reasonable argument you can make is the 6k spent on that specific addon. I've already got 40 of them stacked up.

A second game mode is the last thing this game needs right now. We can't even get the one game mode we have balanced in 3 years. Much less the fact that this will split the player base in half.

Except that still makes her dangerous if she’s savvy enough to not move far enough away from the closest 4 gens, ignoring survivors attempting to loop her, while they insist on running around in the broken state. That will eventually entice them to move away and start using fountains if they want to more safely approach the gens she is relentlessly patrolling. Which, again, still plays into her favour if they’re using the fountains away from her patrol.
The only time this plays out so nicely in this fashion is when the survivors are potatoes and literally let you have your last gens all stacked together on the same side, an unrealistic expectation.
