I personally don't think they should be able to see survivors loading in. Sure you can say but then we'd never know when to use Franklin's! Well I never know if there is a Doctor to use calm spirit. Or if it's a stealth killer and I should bring Spine Chill. Or how About a spirit, I don't normally run Iron Will, just like I don't normally run Franklin's Demise, but if I knew I was facing a spirit I certainly would use it. Maybe it's a trapper, there are some anti-trapper perks I could run to combat that killer specifically. That are other wise completely useless. Maybe if I knew it was a hag I'd bring urban evasion and a flash light.
All in all no I don't think the killers or survivors should be able to see each other. Or they both should be able to see each other, though that would hurt stealth killers more than anything else knowing that it's Mikey, or Ghosty Boy, and survivors are already on high alert.
-
That just sounds like a horrible time for a beginner saving someone and going down just for stacks for WGLF. But then again....your name is Suicide Fox. lol
-
I personally think that Claudette is the best character to start with. People forget that you don't start with any med-kits, and new players probably don't have 50 of them laying around like people who have been playing for a while do. With Botany Knowledge you'll heal yourself quickly enough, and be able to heal others faster. Empathy will also give them information as to where the killer might be after someone gets smacked. All around she's incredibly powerful as a starting character.
Alternate start for me would be Dwight, I still use Bond to this day simply because I love the information it gives. Finding exit gates, finding gens to do with others, finding survivors who are around me that need healing etc. Prove Thyself will obviously help with finishing gens quickly, and getting extra bloodpoints. Leader is okay I guess, not amazing but it will help others heal you faster. While he may not have a way to heal himself on his own he can probably find someone to heal him pretty easily.
Second or Third Survivors for me would be Nea, or Meg.
Nea's two stand out perks being Urban Evasion, and Balanced Landing. Urban Evasion isn't a terrible perk and it also doesn't have to teach bad habits either. If you are playing with someone new let them know to only use it when the killer is near you to try and avoid him, other wise you need to run around the map to get things done. Either way it can be used to make the killer lose you in a chase when you've broken line of sight, or to crouch walk behind some boxes or something and avoid the killer to waste their time searching for you. Also helps against a select few killers like Hag, Nurse, Huntress etc. Balanced Landing imo is probably contender with Dead Hard for best exhaustion perk in the game. Get's rid of your stagger upon landing and gets you faster movement speed upon landing. It's really good, though it can get hampered on certain maps, or feel busted on others.
Meg has Sprint Burst, it's probably the weakest of the exhaustion perks but it's still simple enough to use. Her main draw is Adrenaline obviously, I don't really think it needs explaining. Quick and Quiet isn't the most amazing but it isn't terrible.
I personally do not like We're Gonna Live Forever. It does nothing in game, and it really will teach bad habits. Like going half way across the map off your generator to try and get the save, when a closer teammate could get them instead and you could finish your gen. Not to mention without Borrowed Time, you'll probably get some of your teammates killed due to poor saves trying to get them stacks.
-
I came for Myers. Strangely enough all I play on killer side is mostly licensed killers. Myers, Freddy, Ghostface etc. What can I say...I'm a 90's kid who likes his horror icons.
-
I uncapped my frame rate, but the skill checks acted really weird, like it was skipping frames or something during the ring rotation. Don't think I'd recommend it, but who knows maybe it will work better on your set up than mine.
-
Too early to tell, from what I've seen though it seems pretty decent. It can lay down more than 2 teleport spots, they take a while to dig up, and I believe he gets some type of notification if someone is near by it, not sure what the conditions for that is though. So they could have a lot of map coverage.
The dash is a big question mark, like how far it goes and how fast the start up is, also recovery time. Right now I'm thinking Demogorgon looks pretty mid tier tbh. Not quite as good as Freddy, but not far behind.
-
At first I really enjoyed the idea of the survivors being unique like Friday the 13th, until I realized that it basically made the game come down to like 3 or 4 camp counselors ever being played. You were either good at being chased/bringing key items to locations and terrible at repairs, or really good at repairs/stealth and terrible at chases. The rest of the strengths and weaknesses were irrelevant.
Even if I liked a certain survivor in Friday I never felt comfortable playing as them because of their stat spread.
So I'd say nah to the unique stat to set the survivors apart, as people said they will just pick the best ones for any given job. They want to be chased? They will pick Meg, they want to do gens they will pick Feng Min etc.
Instead of just meta perks, we will have meta survivors as well just like Friday. So it's probably not a good idea.
-
I understand that gens can get done too fast without ruin, sometimes even with ruin. But are we really going to throw Mad Grit into the list for survivors trying to body block to save a teammate from being hooked? The game encourages this by rewarding survivors protection points. And usually you can remedy this on your own by simply doing a quick sweep of the area. There would basically be no point in a struggle meter at all except for those extreme cases where you've used all the hooks in an area up, or to not being able to go into the basement. Which is when most killers use Mad Grit, for basement builds.
Might as well add Lightborn to this list because it's annoying when you get blinded by flashlights. (Don't actually)
Borrowed time actually isn't a true remedy to face camping...mostly just if they stay in the general area. Though I'll agree with you to some extent, I wouldn't mind if it was built into the game, though you best believe every killer would count out the timer and then smack the survivor if every killer knew they'd have it.
The new Steve perk is fine not being base kit imo, it's got a lot more use on indoor maps, than outside. It's got some anti-tunnel properties to it sure, but it's also a hey look come kick my ass instead attached to it. Which means you've gotta be somewhat competent in chases yourself otherwise you'll just trade a hook for a hook and it's a wasted perk.
-
I like Nancy's perks, namely fixated and the one where she cleanses a totem and can heal in a locker. But as a character she's a bit boring, and pretty self absorbed. At least to me. Not the worst character, but I think there are better choices.
Steve's great as a character imo, lots of character development. Best hair, etc. I'm not upset about him being added at all. In fact I may make him my secondary survivor after Feng, if not secondary third! After my boy Ash.
Personally my top pick would be Jim Hopper, he's my favorite character from the show. But it would feel weird with him running around like a scared survivor, instead of doing what he usually does, which is try to brute force his way through most situations. I could totally see him grabbing a broken piece of a pallet, hiding around the corner to bash the killer's face in though.
Joyce and Robin are great as well, better than Nancy at least.
My Tier list...
A - Hopper, Steve
B - Joyce, Robin
C - Billy, Nancy, Johnathan
D - Everyone Else
-
For me personally as a killer if I kill two survivors and two escape it's a draw game. Three kills is a win, and 4 is a huge victory. I don't really go by pips, as I can go full meme and use Infinite tier 3 Tombstone Myers, kill all 4 survivors and then de-pip.
As for survivor, it depends really on the individual. If you are focused on the team, 3 escaping is a win. If you are just focused on you, obviously you surviving counts as the win, regardless of what happens with the other survivors.
Basically the magic number for me is 3, 3 survivors escaping = win for survivors, 3 survivors killed = win for the killer.
Though it won't stop some salty survivor from saying you got outplayed and how garbage you are despite you killing 3 of them, them included and the other guy only escaped through the hatch with a key. lol

It was argued back then that MoM was made to get sales going for Ash's DLC.
That's frankly why most people bought his DLC if you want me to be honest. But hey! If that was their plan, it sure did work...
Hey I like Ash...and the Evil Dead franchise! I bought his dlc for him only...though, for both Leatherbutt, and Ashy Slashy, they gave them one perk that everyone wanted. Though MoM was nerfed and BBQ is still the same basically. Everyone runs it for them blood points.
-
I'd like The Tall Man from Phantasm, Jason from Friday the 13th, Candyman, Chucky from Child's Play (The entity could pick up the survivor for him?), and The Clown from IT.
-
The best use of the crouch is to teabag the survivors right back after they do it to you. Having the fastest crouching animation, almost as fast as the survivors themselves if not the same means you get to go ham and show them who is boss.
Or just have a dance party with all the remaining survivors at the gate who have to teabag before leaving.
-
As someone stated above, I'd be fine with it if I could just purchase the skins I wanted from the DBD pass instead of having to play hours upon hours and hope I have enough time to get it, as many battle passes I've seen in the past have done. Which ultimately had me playing really hard in the beginning but burnt me completely out half way through.
-
Looks like a lag switch to me, rather than a glitch. Dedicated servers will fix it.
-
I P3'd my Myers recently, simply for the cosmetics during double bloodpoints. I do like the cosmetics especially since he doesn't have any other outfits to speak of. But there isn't a reason to do it other than for the bloody outfit. That so called bump in possible good stuff showing up in the blood web to me feels like a myth.
-
I had a match before they updated it to how the end game occurs on the Macmillan. The hatch could be heard but, it wasn't actually spawned. So it could have been bugged maybe....
-
I would like Goku Black. His power would be, to fly around the map, and insta down people with an energy scythe. Sadly he would be stronger than the nurse so everyone would rage quit all the time...
I kid, I kid. I'd like them to get Nemesis from Resident Evil. He could shoot rockets, and his basic attack would be punching people in the face instead of needing an actual weapon.
Or some type of vampire character....I guess.
-
I'm sad that we didn't get Sidney Prescott, I'd have mained her in a heartbeat. But I'm not disappointed about Ghostface at all. Sure the outfit that I've seen looks a little weird. But I'm sure it will have some cosmetics to help. And it being a different person also works. Every Scream movie had a different one, majority of them having two killers. So it can be anyone. Hope the new map is interesting, safe to say though for me I can't wait.
-
For me I'd say it's pretty even. As killer I do not get Death squads every single friggin game. That's a minority for sure, and those types generally have super altruistic survivors. Usually if you down someone you can walk around for a bit a get another smack for the ones going for a flash light save/waiting to save as soon as you turn your back.
Are there crappy games were you get gen rushed, and before you know it they already got it down to one gen. Sure it happens to the best of us. But that isn't the majority. Majority for me is around 3 kills a game. I almost never get 0 kills. Currently I play Myers as my main, with The Legion on the side. Ghostface is certainly getting added to my arsenal.
As survivor you can certainly have relaxing games, heck I've had games were the killer never saw me once, I just did gens, and left. It was boring. But then I've had games were a survivor has bond on, and brings tier 3 myers my direction so I don't have time to get away, get downed and get camped until I die and that's GG. Or survivors who disconnect because they don't like the map, or the killer is rocking some op add-ons/Ebony Moris, and it instantly becomes a hatch game.
Not every game on either side is always a cake walk, and it feels balanced on both sides to me. Git Gud never applied so hard right now imo.
-
I only camp if I honestly think they deserve to be camped. Not for just playing well, but usually if they are just purposefully trying to be toxic. Like this Dwight who body blocked a teammate to eat a chainsaw, and saved other survivors without even letting me get a chance to walk away ten feet.
Personally it depends on how comfortable you are and how much you want to win. It's pretty frustrating for survivors to die, or even reach tier 2 on their first hooking. And also extremely frustrating being taken off the hook only to immediately be hunted down right afterwards. It is the most effective way to win as killer. Giving just enough wiggle room for them to be saved, but also not giving them enough space to get away.
Personally unless I'm just having a really bad game I tend to just completely leave the person on the hook all together, and go check on other gens for them to get saved, and come back afterwards hoping to catch the person who saved them. Especially during double blood points when everyone is trying to farm. But keep in mind that's just me being nice. Keyword nice. If you don't want to be nice to them that's perfectly fine. You are the killer and are trying to win.
And if the gates are powered you deff don't need to be kind to them filthy degenerate survivors who finished them gens. Face camp them and let them die, that's what they get! lol and if they get mad woop te doo. You did what you had to, to secure that kill.
-
Lithe is actually pretty good against Legion, if you see him coming at you vaulting and getting that burst of speed usually will waste his power completely. But it's true it is really difficult to avoid against good Legions. I could see that walk back thing getting annoying, but I also see counter play to it, like having an ally misdirect them with their own scratch marks, while you walk away. Or perhaps vaulting in certain areas. The game though you are probably dead. lol
-
Sometimes I feel like there isn't a hook anywhere, in fact one game, where I was playing on The Game, almost all of the hooks spawned downstairs so survivors were camping one side of the map where I couldn't hook them at. It was a bit annoying.
Alternatively when I'm playing Killer, I feel like there is too many pallets being slammed down forcing me to break them, but when I'm playing survivor sometimes I'm like where the heck are the pallets? Honestly though, I'd rather not have hooks be nerfed, nothing like knocking down survivors and knowing that you can't reach a hook in the distances where they are at, and they know it too so every time you chase them they try to get to that area.
-
My guess is all the killers got supernatural strength. I mean can you easily kick a pallet designed to hold hundreds of pounds to shreds in just two casual looking stomps? lol
-
I think the nicest killer I've seen is usually The Pig. They are usually good sports, or seem to like messing around the most instead of just slaughter fest.
Hillbilly's are usually the ones that I find to be the most toxic I think is what people are using it to describe things they don't like now adays. They usually will swing at you on the hook, or step back just far enough to not lose chaser while revving their chain saw until you are about to die. I don't really care either way, just wish I had a way to communicate with randoms not to waste time coming to get me and to just do gens.
-
Shameless plug...well alright I don't really do much on my youtube so not really. But here is an example of Scratched Mirror with Michael Myers. And why I think it's one of the more fun builds. Just make sure you have Lery's to go with it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CI-p7vZT9MEGame play is from ps4, so the frame rates a bit choppy. lol

Sometimes you vs players of higher rank. Sometimes you face new potatos. I bet you don't come and make a post about it when you face the potatos though. Why would I complain about new killers going up against new survivors? There should be an easy way to tell them apart in the games match making. It can also work in the reverse where I got my first taste of a fully perked out Hex Ruin, Nurses Calling, BBQ, Whispers Nurse with the purple blink add-on thing. She wrecked me, and every other survivor instantly because of the low ranks. I was actually surprised at how good the nurse was because she is pretty crap on PS4 due to the frame rate and no insta turns. The potato survivors didn't know how to work through Hex Ruin. It's the same thing that nurse shouldn't have been paired up with the brand new survivors to the game.

So you are intentionally playing low ranks, despite having experience in the game and the ability to play at a higher level, and you are complaining about matchmaking? You are a prime example of why the system is screwed up. People de pip or smurf. You just got a taste of your own medicine
I switched to PC, I'm going to rank up just like I did on the PS4. But I'm also a new player on PC. Imagine someone who is just starting going against this sort of team. I'm a rank 1 killer on PS4, I know how to play. It just baffles me that it would take a killer with basically no perks who just started and places them against these types of players. Only reason they got killed is because they were overly altruistic which is the downfall of most swf. I can't swap to PC and instantly become rank 1 without going through the proper play sessions.

I dont mean this mechanic should be for perk blood warden just bulid up in every killer like blood lust. You dont leave before i enter in exit gate arena you got fuckt.
Now this would just be silly. Not only does it block the exit if you enter it, but you don't have to do anything but be in the exit gate, and doesn't take a perk? There is way too many times that the killer almost makes it to the person on the switch, and now they just have to walk into it and it's blocked. No thanks.

I've played Rank 1 Myers, and have won more than I've lost on average. Hopefully I'll be able to to do the same with Legion as well.

I find this all hilarious ... I tried this same conversation at different angles under different post.. thank you for proving my point. Thank you for joining in this experiment.
GG No matter which angle it is survivor or killer you are all salty lil funny packs of goodnessThis isn't about being salty. This is just common sense. You want people to leave you need to chase them out, if you go afk they are going to farm you and won't leave. It's like throwing away free blood points if they did. I don't get 4k's every game, and survivors will teabag me at the exit gate. I just see it as a ritual at this point, and just walk up and smack them until they leave. If they are stupid enough to be away from the exit gates then I'll go after them. Either way the game is over.
-
@Grimgage I wouldn't leave either if you went to take a piss break. I'd run around your killer, break line of sight, and run back around you over and over again until I had max chase, and max escaped points. It's called easy farming. Maybe after I finished farming you for standing in place for a minute I might leave then.
-
@GrimGage said:
@SenzuDuck Fair enough, but you still did not answer my question... Why should I force them out? When I simply concede and want to continue on to my next game while you continue to linger at the exit gate when no survivor is in danger? You walk forward and smack them until they leave so you can get to the next game instead of letting them run around you in circles so they can farm chase blood points off of you just standing there. Isn't that completely obvious?
-
I've been playing killer more just because of blood points. You just get so much more on average. And those saying killer is harder? Yeah in some cases it is, but you also don't have to worry about your teammates being total A**hats. Bringing the killer to you, getting knocked down in less than 20 seconds forcing you to go save them, messing up your gens. Body blocking you all kinds of crap that will shorten your life. Playing as the killer you worry only about yourself. You do poorly? Oh well.
Getting points as a survivor is completely rng, and to be honest I prefer stealth a lot more than I do being in active chases and antagonizing the killer. I may do 3 gens on my own, and manage to escape and get hardly any points. 10-15k. So unless I have the opportunity to go in for saves/healing. And get into chases with the killer, usually with me needing to seek them out I'll get nothing.
Playing as killer I barely have to do anything but a few chases and hooks, (even though I'm very proficient at killing most of the time) I'll get like 30k+ doesn't seem fair. And if you want you don't even have to put in that much effort. Patrol the gens, knock down a person or two hook them. You pretty much have surpassed a survivors blood points. And sorry that isn't that difficult. And if you wanted to argue time, do some casual patrolling like...really casual, tunnel if you want. The survivors will finish the gens, they will open the gate and you should be able to force them to leave (sometimes) and the game will be over quickly. I mean the biggest complaint is gen rushing right?
-
I don't think they need to get rid of ranked, they just should get rid of rank reset, and de-pipping in general. It might be the same as no ranked but it at least would match people by how much time they've played more accurately. If you've played long enough to get to rank 1 as a killer and a survivor you've got a decent grasp of the game and it should pair you accordingly.... or maybe I'm just thinking into it too much.
-
My favorite killer to go against is Michael Myers. I like the fact that he can jump scare you, and I like listening to the Halloween themed chase music and terror radius.
My least favorite killer to go against is probably Hillbilly. But a killer that I probably get the most salty on is actually The Trapper. I have partial color blindness, so his traps are ridiculously difficult for me to tell apart from the actual ground. So I tend to just end up getting caught randomly by them, and I just feel robbed. lol
-
Yeah the increasing evil within rate is great. And Dead Rabbit is also amazing. Tuft of Hair, is also one of my favorite add-ons. I wouldn't say skip scratched Mirror. But just note that you basically need a map offering. Like Lerry's other wise it will be useless.I've never been much of a fan of tombstones, but some people like them. Basically just ignore any of the reveal aura of survivors who have been stalked for a certain amount of time.
-
I noticed that too, I chased someone their scratch marks just disappeared...lol
-
I'd love for the games frame rate to become more stable. I'm actually almost tempted to get the game on PC just so I don't have to deal with the crazy amount of frame drops, but I only play Michael, and The Legion out of the killers, and I'd have to start all over from scratch as survivor and killer. So...no can do lol
-
Probably because survivors have zero counter play against a killers add-ons. And some of the killers add-ons are horribly unbalanced. If I see a full lobby of survivors with items I'm about to bust out Franklin's Demise and make them super salty. Survivors also get way less blood points than killers on average probably to make up for losing add-ons every game.
-
The only buff that I'd like would be after hitting a survivor with deep wounds that it cancels frenzy without a stun. The survivor still gets the mini sprint burst, but they wouldn't be ridiculously far away and would have to respect legion a bit more since they wouldn't get such a massive distance advantage against a 110% speed killer.
-
@Morfedel said:
so I'm a little newer to the game, but Ive never understood how anyone can endlessly loop the killer; killer is always faster AND gets the... whats it called, blood something, where you start going faster after awhile during a chase? Anyway, seems like unless you break line of sight its a losing proposition. You don't actually loop the killer endlessly. However you can do like lets say 2 loops before tossing a palette down, and then run to the next one and repeat this process for as long as you can until you either manage to lose the killer, they give up and go and guard their gens, or you eventually fall. In truth if a killer wants you dead, you are pretty much going to die because they will eventually catch up to you. But good players can keep the killer so distracted that if they don't check on the gens that the game will be over because of a single chase. I personally give up long chases quite quickly in favor of going after either weaker players, or catching that really good player at chases somewhere else where there isn't any pallets anymore, so they can't hide behind them while I patrol gens.
-
I've been having a lot of fun playing as The Legion. Running around the map, slapping survivors around. I especially love the matches were I manage to hit 4 people back to back with a single Feral Frenzy. It's rare, but it does happen. It boggles my mind when I hear people say that The Legion is weak. I haven't even been using the supposed strong add-ons (Except once and it was a 4k) and I feel like I'm getting the job done. Either way I love the design and play style. And I almost laugh at the survivors who actually think that they can try and troll me just because "The Legion is the worst killer in the game" talk. They quickly learn that if they don't take it seriously they are dead. I get some sick pleasure out of that feeling of seeing them go from I'ma troll this killer to near panic mode as they realize that The Legion isn't the joke the community tries to pretend he/she is.
-
For me I feel like the changes they implemented makes it easier for me to see survivors...and gens due to the aura brightening. However I'm on ps4, and while I don't have an issue with the seeing survivors or anything like that. I do have issues with the frame rate just going to crap. Some games feels like it's moving at 15 frames a second. And using Frenzy with Legion makes the frame rate dip even more. This only happens on some maps, but it's ridiculously frustrating at times.
-
@DocOctober said:
BloodyNights said:Man...at this rate Legion is going to get crazy buffs...and then I'll have an even easier time 3 to 4 manning every single game like I have been. Sweet lol
Even if you should be trolling, the
Legion discussion is not about wanting to get more kills, but to improve his game play. You should know that unless you're one of those pseudo Killer mains.Kills do not equal fun. I don't care if I get 4 kills. If the game play leading up to that was filled with frustration and anger at how ######### his mechanics are, I want those to improve.
Well fun is subjective isn't it? I don't have fun playing Billy, but I have fun playing as The Legion. I don't have fun playing as the Huntress by I enjoy Michael Myers. I think it's a lot of fun running all around the map, injuring multiple survivors, and playing smart. Just like I think it's fun stalking, and peak a booing out of no where with Michael. Getting 3 to 4 mans in most games in my opinion is a testament to the killers balance regardless of if you think it's fun or not. But hey if you want to make him stronger by complaining about a killer I personally think is just fine go ahead. The community thinks he is trash tier bottom of the barrel garbage, I think he/she is good. That just means when he gets all of those buffs it will make my job even easier. I do however slightly fear that the smallest change to Legion could easily make them overpowered. I still think they should have said his difficulty is hard in game.
The only real buff I'd give Legion is when they injure someone in feral frenzy who already has deep wounds that Legion doesn't stun themself at all. The survivor simply get the sprint burst from the hit and then it's a normal chase again instantly going back to 110% movement speed.
-
I personally think Legion is just fine as is. But instead of going crazy on buffs like insta downing already injured survivors. Or giving them 115% movement speed etc. I think the only buff I'd give the killer that actually would make a pretty decent difference. Is when you are frenzied and you smack a survivor already inflicted with Deep wounds. That he doesn't get stunned. Meaning you smack someone, smack them again, but instead of the stun they just get the sprint burst from the hit and you can chase them normally with his 110% movement speed.
-
Reading this...I"ll just say it sounds fairly ridiculous to consider. Just today I hit a survivor, and then hit two more almost towards the beginning of the match because they were within my terror radius. There really isn't any counter play to this, besides not being any where near each other I guess. You'll activate hit someone, and see the glowing red ball, run at it and down them. They'd have a slim chance of escaping.
Edit: Just noticed it says on an injured survivor. Still just as op and ridiculous imo just changes it up a bit. lol
