  • Can't play with out it, i have a small eye sight disability and that perk saves my life and my whole survivor experience.

Also recommend it for new players or if you're having trouble learning a map layout.

The 20 is enough and the cool down just makes you get better at chases in an I detect way

  • I have just a question : why only put nessessary perks to finish the archives one week? If for what ever reason you miss it... You're kind of screwed AND it takes slots on the shrine perks.

What would you think of putting archive perks available for direct purchase on a new page for the duration of the tome?

That way you're sure to have them even if you missed them and it shrine would work independently of archives.

    It's just an idea

I'm not telling anyone anything, actually. It's a rant, like an opinion. It's not based on facts, it's just my personal view. The reason for my view is because the chaos and confusion that comes with playing against Doctor is flustering a lot of the time, combined with him(now) being one of the stronger killers makes it a bit much to face so frequently. Freddy slows down games which to me, making things simply take longer isn't fun or interesting. And Ghostface, is because of toxicity. Before you claim how toxic survivors are, know that I'm not, and will never be like that.

Well if you're not toxic than i take my hat off too you kind sir. I understand your opinion, but you also have to understand that killers might be getting sick of being treated like crap if they chose a weaker killer and lose match. I guess it's the price to pay if you're a good survivor

  • Instead of complaining, go pick clown and go to some games then. People have their favourite killers, who are you to tell them what to play or not?

From what I've seen these last months, any killer that poses an actual threat is immediately branded as unfun.

  • That happened to me (Ps4) when the last tome came out. But was only for one match, but yeah when the guy next to me saw me gen tapping with no ruin..... I could hear him screaming at me from across the world

  • You can, just do totems

  • I like current DS better than old DS. Even if it's not always used as anti "tunneling"

The only thing i would change is, make it disable if you touch a gen. If you're doing a gen it means the killer didn't..... Ugh... "TuNeL" (god i feel so cringy even saying this made up term")

And if you touched a gen instead of healing, or finding someone to heal you than it was your choice, there's no reason to have a 60 seconds immunity.

  • People defending this crap is just mind blowing!

Yes it does give a massive advantage, you're basically by-passing mind games, a very important component of this game!

"oh but it's ok, the game is not competitive derp derp" well if it isn't why go out of your way to give you such a big advantage?

"oh but i like the way it looks" well I'm sure you do.... But we all know why, it has nothing to do with looks.

  • Missing my swings consistanly. They are laughing and i'm like.... Bruh.... Kill me now

  • No! Leave my goblin alone!

  • I blocked every contact other than people who are my friends. You can't even send me a friend invite. Now i have barely played since then but boy does that take weight off my shoulders!

No it's not, how would the killer know the people are red ranks? Why even queue if you're going to AFK?

Because its been that way for Satan knows how long now. I know, that if i play killer I'm facing people of much lower rank than me, and maybe some people are getting tired?

Why? If he's in green ranks, in order to face survivors of his skill level, hell have to de rank until ~rank 15.

Now, I'm not saying it's a good thing, all I'm saying is that it's a consequence of the current matchmaking. I can understand some people get sick of getting bullied.

  • It's a result of the horrible matchmaking. Maybe that player is sick of facing red ranks when he should be facing green ones?

  • Don't wait until the burnout. When i feel its coming i just stop playing it until i feel the will to come back.

What is the point of having Vanity Mirror when you have Nurse's Calling?

Time. Vanity only views auras at 16m. I found I could put more pressure on them by knowing exactly where they are, it helps counter the lack of speed. But hey its something that works for me. What would you put instead of nurses? How would you perfect it?

  • Get someone to go private match and practice without the pressure of gens popping left and right

  • I can't agree. Try this:

Vanity mirror + dead rabbit +the game map offering.

Monitor and abuse, sloppy, nurses, PWYF

I tried it because i was out of hospital offering so couldn't do scratch mirror and it's so much fun!

Sure you still have a terror radius but it's barely there, by the time they hear it you're right on their faces, but you have more speed than scratch mirror and you also have the normal lunge.

  • Killer bbq only because of points(most times i forget ti check for auras.

Survivor- Windows of opportunity. I have a small eye sight disability and everytime my eye moves my sight gets blurry so it's hard to look for windows or pallets while chased. This perk helps me immensely

"If you get hit through a window it's because you were too late to the window and the killer gets his hit."

this is the most untrue thing lmao

if i had a dollar for everytime i cleared a window and still got hit way past it then I would be a gajillionaire

It IS true, the devs explained it thoroughly on the last Dec stream. Its also why killer grabs don't work for months now. Do you want me to tell you how many times i got denied of a grab?

  • I actually prefer current ds to old ds.

The disable it if someone else gets hooked can be easily exploited (hag with make your choice for exemple)

I WOULD like to see it getting disabled if they touch a gen.

  • I mean we all know 4+6 =13 so i don't see a problem (ironic BTW)

  • They could make simple qol changes:

1 day x2 bloodhunt per month

Unlock teachable Once you get its tier 3 version (got my tier 3 corrupt intervention well over lv 50 on my plague)

Make bps appear more often on bloodweb

Give a slight boost on base BP gain

On perks like distressing for example, make bonus points be awarded after trail

Make completing a gen give a token for WGLF

These are just a few thoughts out of my head

I read what people are saying but can't fully agree. You're not going to get 32k that often, and if you just started the grind IS over the roof! After almost 2 years I'm getting to the point where 75% of my grind is done but I'm about to jump to pc and the idea of starting over is urh!

And even if i stay on ps4, getting that last 25% is still going to take a long time, and this is without getting the last killers.

  • I might he wrong, but sounds like you just want to be toxic without any consequences.

Maybe as a killer i don't to go through toxic games?

  • Funny because i was planning on doing a big thread on this subject. To me it came to a point where i stopped buying dlc not because i can't afford them, but because i can't deal with the grind of yet another killer to level up. I will be making the jump to pc in a matter of a couple of weeks but doing the grind again actually scares me

Jeez still no keyboard and mouse support for console? I'm starting to think no game developer on Earth that cares about console

Nope. Now this might not be a problem for many, but i used to be a pc gamer not that long ago, and aiming with the sticks is just atrocious, and so slow!

Ya i agree. Just go all in. Noed, insidious, blood warden, and ehhh something? Idk

Wow wow wow, leave bloodwarden out of this. Its the best perk in the game and i think (correct me if i'm wrong) the only one to make both sides laugh when it's triggered

  • The issue is not much killer bugs or unbalance, it's more the toxic behaviour on ps4 that is simply off the charts! I actually have started to dodge lobby's with German teams. They are so toxic its actually sad to see...but i'm not putting myself through that misery.

That and going against red ranks when you're rank 17...

  • Don't dare to touch my goblin! I main him BECAUSE he looks like a goblin

  • Survivor rule: if killer actually goes out of his way to be more than fair, or give us as much points as he can i usually make him kill me so he gets points as well

Killer rule: you t bag, I'll tunnel the living ######### out of you.

If i get a non toxic team, I'll let at least one escape

  • No matter how much we know these messages mean nothing, if we get them at a tough stage of our lifes... It can make an impact.

I don't know if this is how you feel but.... Stay yourself dude, because you're awesome!

The best advice I could give you is to not sweat the losses right now. She's far from the easiest to play, especially with a controller, so there's no shame in losing with her. The only way you're really going to get better with her is to lose and learn from your mistakes. Going against easier opponents might make you win now, but it won't help you learn how to mindgame and hit the good ones.

If you are playing against good survivors, though, I would recommend not blinking through walls (at least, not all the time) but instead blinking to the corners. Survivors need to break line of sight to get away from you. If you blink to where you think they'll be if they kept running, they can wait by the corner and run back the other direction and you'll have no idea where they are. By blinking to the corner, you can make sure that you can see them no matter which way they go.

But you're ultimately want to get a feel for it. Sometimes it'll work, sometimes it won't. You'll need to practice and get a feel for what works and what doesn't, and how to read a survivor and guess what they'll do next.

With the next update, we'll be increasing the maximum controller sensitivity, which might help you out a little if you find that it's not turning fast enough.

May i ask you why there is no mouse/keyboard compatibility on console ?

As an old pc gamer i suffer to sim with controller, and in general when playing survivor you can make the killer miss a lot of swings because of the jankiness nature of aiming with the joysticks.

  • Yeah, 10 minutes is the standard. Killer is at most 30 seconds.

Behaviour doesn't need to fix anything, maybe if survivors were less toxic and stop sending hate mail all the time there would be more people playing killer

  • Nice! Respect to you

  • People with gen phobia.

I don't care about camping or tunneling (fck survivors babies made up rules)

I don't mind noed, couldn't care less about your killer and your add ons, i don't care if you all escape, i don't care about your keys.

But for the love on anubis! Go. Do. A. Gen! (unless you're doing bones or saving someone)

  • So if a killer stays more than 5 seconds within ~30 m from a hook he's a camper?

What about breaking a pallet or checking if someone is close? What about when you hook someone, turn around and see scratch marks 2 m away from the hook?

If killer hooks you, opens a locker and then goes away he's gonna be within your 5 seconds rule. Is that fair?

This just proves that when survivors said they've been camped, most of the times it's not true.

Imagine wanting the killer to teleport to the other side of the map 1 second after he hooked you

  • Motivation : I just love the game! Both sides

    Discouragement :

    Constant toxic survivors

    No mouse/keyboard on ps4

    And the worse.... The grind!

  • I once watched a stream of a big name (not going to say who he was), he was ridiculing self care users, praising inner strength while looking for a totem and running past gens. I counted... He wasted 90 seconds total.

Now this said, can't wait for it to go on the shrine and test it out myself, but just like self care, depending how you use it, you're just wasting your teams time

  • I mean if several of your friends agree then it just has be true right?

  • Genrushig is already the meta, it's just about giving killer a chance to get a down before 1 or 2 gens stop. There's still many pallets and loops to waste killers time, you just have to stop relying on infinites or god loops.

You can notice when you have a good team, and i can assure you, as a solo survivor, when that happens i feel safe and in coutrol and there's not a lot of things the killer can do to stop us from escaping.

The problem is, and has been for a while, having team mates that have gen phobia and just save rush the second you go down.

But you know, you can always call people dumb because your precious infinites are getting looked at. It says more about you than it says about us

  • I'd buy those!

  • If you're starting and don't like grinds then you might not like it.

If you play survivor it's kinda OK..... Ish. Chose David King, you will have dead hard and we're going to live forever, wich can give up to 100% more bloodpoints, and get other perks you want in the shrine. But survivor is still enjoyable without add ons or all perks.

If you want to play killer thought... Forget it. Yes, you can get leather face and get barbecue and chilli wich can also grant you up to 100% more blood points, but so many killers, the add ons, the different perks to not only unlock but to find in the other killers bloodweb. It's just overwhelming!

you do know that globe just measn they bought the game on the windows store right?

also I doubt MS and SONY will allow gamers to play crossplatform between those 2, but many Playstation and PC players can play together in the future.

Forgot to mention, I'm playing on ps4

  • Very soon. The other day i got a lobby with 3 people with that globe symbol next to their names. I got kicked of the lobby but they are implementing that very soon for sure

  • If they unhooked that person when you were only 20 m away that probably means they could still hear your terror radius, so that means they did it far too early and you should capitalise on that mistake. I hate when survivors rush for the save and come to these forums yelling "omg camper! Tunneler"

Personnaly it depends on the match.... If it was early, 5 gens up, not high rank, I'll try to go for the one who unhooked (sometimes i even do it when i shouldn't and it ends up costing me a match but meh), but don't ever be afraid to punish these unsafe hooks. Slugging is a really good option

This is why people cry about new doc, because even before you hooked the person you downed they are already running for the save! So once you hook, you use static blast and you're bound to find someone really close, applying lots of pressure.

  • @ZoneDymo said:

imagine still believing rank means anything XD

Because someone who is only skilled enough to reach rank 13~12 as killer is skilled enough to face rank 1 survivors?

Let's put rank 20 survivors against rank 1 killers than... Since there's no difference.

My playing time has gone down the drain so i can barely play, went from rand 2 to rank 9...let me tell you... There's a huge difference!

  • If he face camps he's not getting 30k

  • I still have to look into it. I don't have a lot to play so i have to chose wisely. One thing that could make me get it is if there's a small grind (still haven't checked the progression), because one thing in dbd that has taken the toll on me is the grind, it's just out of this world

  • I always have it, but dlrarely use it. It saved my ass a few times, especially at the last moments of the game, but! I Don't use it if there's sloppy, prefer to find a team-mate or just jump on a gen. But sometimes it comes handy. Killer found us healing and I'm at 90%? Self care for the final 10% and now killer needs to hit me 2 times. You just need to know when to use it, and i play solo so yeah

I would like to get inner strength, but sometimes i watch streamers that have it, and at the end they wasted more time then the 32seconds self care takes.

I'd like to test it myself, but i still don't have it :(

    Because it's a killer bug
