EMPs print automatically. You don’t need to do it yourself unless you want to speed it up, but you usually don’t need to and can just grab one when needed. Gen camping with Singularity is probably his weakest play style as a single EMP at a gen just wastes too much time for him
He also needs most of your body visible to tag you, so you can usually position yourself so that something is obscuring you so he can’t shoot you. A twig is enough cover sometimes. Or even just sitting on the opposite side of the gen away from his pod.
-
Focus on the ones you enjoy. No point in learning a killer if you don’t enjoy them.
I have over 2000 hours and barely play a lot of the killer cast because it’s just not worth it to learn them if I have more fun playing someone else.
Also don’t learn any killer add on less and perk less, that’s just going to make you miserable (especially the more add on reliant killers). Find a build that you enjoy and plays into your strengths and learn the killer that way.
-
Unless they are hard core tunnelling, I’m fine with every killer except Skull Merchant honestly. And I guess Blight with Alc. Ring.
-
Wraith’s perks are garbage so here’s some ideas.
Predator - the scratch marks are worse with Predator, so change it completely
- Footsteps are louder
- Survivors continue to leave scratch marks for a few seconds after they stop running
Bloodhound - make it a killer version of Made For This.
- While walking within 1-2 metres of pools of blood, move 3% faster.
- Keep the glowing blood because it’s cool.
- So basically you move faster, but only when right on top of blood (like a bloodhound)
Shadowborn - With the FoV slider it will become obsolete so it should get a rework after.
- Whenever a survivor is afflicted with a status effect it is shown to you next to their portrait for the duration.
So they still keep his theme of tracking/info perks, but they aren’t useless or a hinderance anymore.
-
Why though? Top tiers killer don’t use STBFL only low and mid tier killers. Why do they need to be nerfed?
The only killers that would actually be affected by this nerf are Demo and Pig, and to a lesser extent, Slinger and Trapper. Those killers REALLY don’t need nerfs right now.
-
He’s not necessarily fun to play against, but I wouldn’t say he’s one of the worst.
Skull Merchant, Hag, Trickster, Sadako, Freddy, and Bubba are all more boring than Wraith.

Should killer powers not have counters..?
Not ones that completely shut down their power, and especially not with a meta perk. A killer power making a perk less useful is not the same as a perk making a power unusable.
That's one of the reason the old Freddy was so bad was because Self-Care was meta and hard countered him.

I agree, that would just be a waste.
But then again... they did pay all that money for Terminator just to make it a skin in Deathgarden...

It’s fine.
The aura reading at the start is powerful, but unless you use an aura perk/add on you are playing 99% of the game with only 3 perks. Aura perks themselves aren’t even that great right now with Distortion and Off the Record and using aura perks means less slots for slowdown.
It’s strong but fair.

I thought Jonah was a terrorist or something. I don’t keep up with the lore that much.
No he wasn’t a terrorist, people are just spreading misinformation about his lore.
He was a code breaker for the CIA and intercepted codes about rebel hideouts. The US bombed the hide outs, but it turned out the codes were decoys and they bombed civilians instead.
So people call him a terrorist because he inadvertently lead to a bombing of innocents.
I’ve also seen people claim he did it to siphon money from people, which is also false. He DID siphon money from the rebels after, but he did it to give it to the families of the people that were killed in the bombing.
So no, he isn’t evil like everyone says.
-
From my understanding, it’s just a “soft” overpowered term. Something that is slightly too powerful and could be changed, but if it isn’t it’s not really an issue
Overtuned = bit too strong but not a problem and not causing any major balance issues. Game plays similarly to how it would without it, but a bit easier. (e.g, Base kit Blight, pre nerf Prove Thyself, maybe Made For This)
Overpowered = too strong and needs to be adjusted, causes major balance issues and you can win games simply because of it, but the game is still playable against it (e.g, Blight’s add ons, OG Dead Hard)
Broken = needs nerfing ASAP as it completely changes the game around it, makes gameplay aspects impossible to use (OG Mettle of Man)
I disagree with everyone saying it’s numbers based, otherwise Mother Daughter Ring would have been “overtuned” and not “overpowered”.

It might actually be things like moans and screams that they made the rule for, but not due to volume. Alot of times, people can recognize a character based off the unique sounds alone. If someone jumps out of a locker while I have iron maiden for example... I can ID which person is exposed based off the scream to know who to hit. If a character is new though... ppl may not be able to recognize them as easily.
Oooh that’s a really good point. Not knowing which survivor screamed would make perks like Iron Maiden/Make Your Choice less useful.
Even just not recognising the moans of a character could make it harder for you.
This makes the rule seem more fair honestly.
-
They are talking about the pluses and how Trickster shows his equipped perks in the right corner.

Most of my recent games have been pretty good actually. A couple campers and bad teammates, but mostly been pretty decent.
-
I think Garden of Joy and Toba Landing look pretty nice.
Borgo though is just RED
-
Wow. I noticed his animation looked off, but I didn’t realise it was slower too. Hopefully they address this soon.
I’ve also noticed other killers with animation changes but I don’t know if they also are slower. For example Ghost Face didn’t get his PTB animation reverted at all and now looks down and up. Clown’s camera slightly tilts to the side for some reason.
-
Leave them and find someone else. Try and chase them later when they aren’t at such a strong tile.
Or if they don’t fall for any mind game, then something you can try is pretending you are going for a mind game but don’t actually do it.

Trickster does not really need Buffs.
At the very least he does not need Buffs right now, there are other Killers which need them more. E.g. they talked about Twins getting some love in early 2024, Myers is the pinnacle of outdated, they talked about revisiting Billy, they need to look at Skull Merchant, they probably need to revisit Sadako.
All of those are more urgent. At least when you ask someone which Killer is bad, Trickster would probably not be a common answer.
Twins and Billy don’t really need buffs though, they just need to be less clunky and less frustrating to play.

Sadako is listed as short but Hag as average, they should list her as short too tbh.
The fact that Hag is listed as the same height as Artist is insane.
-
Rather than make it bannable just remove it.
- Make it so you can't attempt to Kobe if it would put you into struggle phase and remove the struggle skill checks (or just the miss 2 skill checks to die part).
- Make DCing similar to Overwatch where you can rejoin and don't get the penalty until a set time and after that time everyone else who DCs doesn't get the penalty. And cancel the game if someone DCs within the first minute.
- Rework Skull Merchant and make holding games hostage more punishable/less possible.
-
To everyone saying saying that they won because of matchmaking or because they ran some meta perks and the killer didn’t… yes, that’s how this game works.
You can win most of your games on BOTH sides because matchmaking is so awful it will pair you up with players outside of your skill rating or pairing you with people running meme perks while you run full meta.
I’m not saying that I think this game is survivor or killer sided, I think it’s pretty balanced currently, but yes the games that this person posted are indeed possible and are very common. This doesn’t show that they are low MMR even if the killer might be because matchmaking is broken.
I’ve gone on 30 game win streaks as killer and still get paired with new players. I’m not the best survivor but I still escape most games and still get paired with killers with less than 200 hours.
These screenshots don’t show anything about the state of game balance, but saying “you only won because matchmaking sucks” is meaningless because a large portion of your games are going to be similar to this.
If you don’t run meta, you can’t really complain if you lose to someone running meta. Yes you can still win most games without meta perks because matchmaking and the average player are awful, but if you play with someone at your skill level or higher that is running meta, don’t be surprised when you lose.
If you actually think you are going against meta SWFs or god tier killer players every game, then I’m sorry but you probably aren’t as good at this game as you think you are.
TL;DR - yes they may have won because of bad matchmaking, but that’s also why everyone else who finds this game easy is winning so much. If matchmaking worked correctly then people would see that this game is probably pretty balanced right now.
-
Ok, but what if I endurance instead of endurance? Do I still get endurance?
-
The red stain helps killers more than it helps survivors honestly. Without it you wouldn’t be able to pull off certain mind games and it would just make killer less enjoyable.
It should stay but I do agree that it shouldn’t go through walls or follow teleporting killers. Fix those but leave it untouched otherwise.
-
To be fair, if someone is playing the new survivor you might go into thinking they are running one of his perks are try to play around that. For example he may have tried to play around Dramaturgy and not thought that maybe Cage had Dead Hard because of it.
Also there might be a bug that affects the new survivor that hasn’t been fixed yet and could be abused, so I don’t think it’s that unreasonable to ask someone not to play them.
It is a silly rule, but it’s clearly stated in the rules they can’t play a new survivor yet so I don’t really feel bad for Eternal in this scenario.
-
Agree with everyone saying Skull Merchant.
I doubt most people would even notice she’s gone.
-
Toba Landing isn’t that bad. It’s cluttered but it’s not really survivor sided, especially compared to Shattered Square and Garden of Joy.
Smash Hit needed a buff and it still isn’t even meta or even in the top 3 Exhaustion perks. Buckle Up is a much more problematic change.
BNP wasn’t buffed, at most it’s still the same strength as previously. It’s a much healthier add on now.
-
This would be cool.
…I also wouldn’t be opposed to a Danganronpa chapter…
-
Louis should at least get something. He’s the only one of the original 4 not represented in any way.

Shelter Woods better for survivors lmao
Borgo is, in my opinion, one of the most balanced maps in the game
and Garden of Joy is gonna get a nerf pretty soon, they are going to destroy the house. You can print screen this.
Shelter Woods is still killer sided, but the main building helped survivors more. It’s better than before even if it’s still not a great map for survivor.
Borgo is definitely not balanced at all. It’s one of the least balanced maps. A billion safe pallets that all chain together is not at all balanced (unless you’re Nurse).
Good. Garden is the worst map and should absolutely be nerfed.

Gas Heaven is terrible for survivors now. Shack always spawns with a hill and that useless truck vault tile. So once someone uses shack pallet it's a complete dead zone. And good luck finding a pallet in the car stack loops without Windows of Opportunity.
I think it's pretty good personally, I always have a good game as survivor on it.
But even if Gas Heaven weren't survivor sided, my point still stands.
-
Garden of Joy and Borgo disagree.
Also Red Forest and Shelter Woods were made better for survivors. Autohaven also kept its pallets (even got some pallets added to edges of the map) and Gas Heaven's main building became even stronger.
This is not a "new balancing meta".

yun-jin let people die to further her career, and Jonah (my bb) is a war criminal tho accidental so maybe hes fine)
we need more evil survivors
I don’t think Trapper was ever a survivor. The only killer who used to be a survivor, as far as I know, is Blight. Trapper was tortured into becoming a killer.
-
Forced camera movement, screams occurring before the hook, perks like Pain Res activating before the hook, Nick Cage blocking the killers screen when he’s hooked.
I guess they just really wanted to make hooking annoying this patch.

I don’t like how similar the Singularity skin is to his default. We finally get another non-humanoid killer since Dredge yet his skins are so bland.
Dredge’s skins are so unique, why do Singularity’s have to be so similar to each other?
-
Wheatley from Portal over Singularity
Dunno how it would work, but his voice lines would be amazing
-
Survivors didn't get any big balance changes this patch either. The only thing they got were some perk changes and Nick Cage.
Killers will also get a solo chapter in November, so it's not like survivors are the only ones getting anything.

Thats not really true. I main GF and that hasn’t been a problem not in the PTB not live. And tbh I dont see any killer whose power would not work against bots fr. if anything I can see a better value from bots in playing killers such as Legion, Oni and Nemesis.
Singularity is pretty hard countered by bots. They know the second you enter a biopod near them so it’s really hard to tag them.
Deathslinger is also a bit iffy as they seem to have frame perfect dodges against his spear and can’t really zone them like real players because they don’t look behind them until you fire the gun. Not that big of a deal though since you can easily shoot them when they vault.
-
You’re right, Freddy’s power is very difficult to make lore accurate without it being busted or just impossible to implement.
And I honestly have no idea how to rework him. He’s in a very awkward position right now where he’s weak, unfun to play, and unfun to play against, while also having the worst add ons in the game AND having the problem of the community being split between which version of his power was better.
But if we go through what his main issues are:
- When survivors are awake, Freddy has no power
- But his power in the Dream World isn’t even good enough to make up for his lack of power against awake survivors
- He loses an entire part of his kit when the gates are powered (he should just be able to TP to every gen once they are all completed)
- His add ons are the worst
- Oblivious kills a lot of perk synergy with him, so he is limited in his perk choices
- He can’t really control when someone is put to sleep, he has to hit them or wait sixty seconds
So he needs something to give him pressure in the Dream World.
So a few ideas could be:
- The longer a survivor is asleep, the deeper asleep they fall. The deeper they are, the weaker they get. So for instance, everyone 30 seconds or so they fall into a different tier of Deep Sleep. Deep Sleep 1 - Functions as now, Deep Sleep 2 - Survivor is revealed to Freddy, Deep Sleep 3 - Survivor is exposed. Maybe then make it so you don’t fall deeper asleep while in a chase.
- Give him the ability to freely put people to sleep like he used to have, and then give him a bonus for each survivor asleep, so Freddy can control when people are asleep and doesn’t have to commit to chasing them. You mentioned an Action Speed boost, that’s a good idea. Or maybe increase the Hindered penalty for each sleeping survivor. Or when everyone is asleep Freddy gets a massive boost like aura reading or a speed boost, would be hard to keep everyone asleep and he could be rewarded for that.
- You could make it so he can jump in and out of the Dream World, so he’s gains different abilities in each world and he’s invisible to survivors in the other world, giving him some stealth and allowing him to decide if he wants to torment those who are awake or those who are asleep. Not sure what the different powers would be though.
Not saying these ideas are good, but something along these lines that make survivors want to wake up. You’ll probably be able to come up with something better haha.
And then of course, an add on pass.

I appreciate the alternate perspective but I’m not buying it. His gripes were certain killers aren’t viable (Pig, Trapper, Hag etc) even though that has been debunked, he has lost interest in playing A-tier killers (Wesker and whomever else he named) that he presumably does really well in his matches with, and the reason solo queue is bad is because survivors DC or give up randomly; not because of its inherent issues—rampant tunneling/camping, bad MMR, etc. Maybe we’re both right.
I think you are reading too much into this. No where in their post do I get the impression that this person is primarily a killer main who wants survivors nerfed.
Their main complaints are that MMR sucks, lack of variety, and that the game has gotten repetitive.
They never mentioned that Trapper and Pig weren’t viable, just that no one plays them because other killers a better and the lack of variety is boring.
They never mentioned they lost interest in playing Wesker, they mentioned they lost interest playing against Wesker.
Rage quitters are one of the biggest issues with solo queue. Personally, from my experience, rage quitters are the biggest issue with solo queue. Yeah campers and tunnellers should be addressed, but rage quitters are far worse in my opinion.
They even bring up that they’re tired of people complaining about gen rushing. There’s complaints from both sides in this post, and everything they said is a valid reason to not want to play.
To me this doesn’t read like a hidden agenda to get survivors nerfed, it reads like a person who generally is just tired and bored of this game and wanted to say bye because they loved it.
-
I don’t think this really solves his biggest problems.
Giving the ability to teleport anywhere on the map at anytime with no requirements is a bit much. And more mobility isn’t what he needs. Maybe give him the ability to teleport in end game, but other than that he doesn’t need more.
This also doesn’t address his biggest issue which is that there is no point to waking up. In fact with these changes it would be better to stay asleep, because I can trigger Snares and cancel his teleport. He needs something that makes you want to wake up.
Are his Dream Pallets base kit now? I can really tell. I think that would be a decent change.
For the add ons changes:
- I don’t agree with real pallets becoming Dream Pallets, that would just cause a bunch of issues such as an awake survivor is looping a pallet, but his teammate falls asleep so it vanishes and so he dies because of RNG.
- An Undetectable add on is kinda pointless since he already has Oblivious and a Lullaby. This would only affect awake survivors, so more reason to not wake up.
- Making him invisible to hooked survivors just makes camping stronger, we don’t need that.
- 5 second Incapacitated when triggering Snares is also no very useful. 5 seconds is nothing and you’re pretty much always going to be triggering Snares when you aren’t in gens, so there’s no point in using it.
- I like the Z Block and Class Photo changes
It’s an interesting idea, but I don’t think this is what Freddy really needs or should be.

no i am saying that missing skill-checks is survivor mistakes. missing load of skill-check is better gen regression then any killer regression perk in the game. Survivors are better at regressing generators than killer is at regressing them with any perk. The survivors are the best gen defence.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3490394#Comment_3490394
The only time Unnerving Presence would be a problem is if the killer had a way to further make skill checks harder to hit like Doctor or Skull Merchant. So even in this scenario you built, Skull Merchant is still a bigger issue.
except skull merchant cannot use that perk because her drones provide undetectable which is anti-synergy with terror radius based perks. that is why she has those add-on's namely shotgun speaker and Adi Valente Issue 1 to do that.
you also give survivors more skill checks to hit and good survivors that can hit Great Skill Checks reliably would welcome this because it would just give them more progress.
I believe otz made a video about this but you leave a generator, you have like 1/5 chance to get skill-check that will explode gen. in 3 gens, you are constantly leaving gens in and out. more skill-check chance is not good because of leaving gens that auto-explode. Also, you should explain why the survivors missed 40 skill-checks worth of regression if you think the skill-check is so easy to hit.
the issue is that she can hold a game for over an hour, not that she could've beaten a pro team.
She is holding 3 gen for an hour because of generator regression through missing skill-checks and tight gen spread from map layout/design. She is capitalizing off survivor mistakes through perk design and abusing map design. despite that, The killer is still losing. I will let you judge if the game is survivor sided or killer sided.
They missed skill checks because of Shotgun Speaker. No other killer can remove the sound unless they have Huntress Lullaby, which wouldn’t be applicable in this game anyway as she didn’t get 5 hooks and it’s a hex perk.
Yes she held it because of regression, but the regression was only possible because it was Skull Merchant. Yes others can hold a 3 gen due to poor map design, but you’ll not be able to get 50 minutes because you’ll either kill them before then or they’ll get the last gen on.
The only reason this Skull Merchant lost is because they weren’t that good. If they had more experience they could’ve easily won. They didn’t want kills though, they wanted to drag the game out for an hour.
-
@Devil_hit11 said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3490344#Comment_3490344
blight does not need to drag out games to 50 minutes. he wins faster than that. 50 minute games is base-kit m1 killer problem. Skull merchant base-kit chase is not strong enough to eliminate survivors out of the match if the survivor play smart with body-blocking to the level of team eternal.
She has eyes on everyone at all times, which makes breaking the 3 gen ridiculously hard
Explain why this is talking point. the gens on torment creek are extremely close to each other. Do you think killer had tracking problems when playing that 3 gen? The survivor knew exactly where the killer was and killer knew where survivors were.
Every has to play with 1 health state
This another talking point that makes little sense. Blight has add-on called alchemist ring that refreshes all tokens upon hitting a lethal rush. You make very little distance to benefit from health-states. Its not exactly 1 shot but you can almost get 2 hit-combo'd in 3 gen like torment creek.
They had to play the entire game Oblivious because of an add on. Without comms this would’ve have been near impossible to beat.
The oblivious was not effective at ambushing the survivors in that game. Both killer and survivor knew each other were for 95% of the match. The ending of the game involved no one disarming drones and everyone ignoring drones. She would got more value out of Adi Valentine issue 2 which is add-on that decreases skill-check size by 20% when inside a drone's radius. This would make survivors miss more skill-checks leading to more regression, so the build could been more optimized. your only valid point is skill-check perks synergize with drone's. Killers do have a universal perk to make overcharge skill-checks harder. that perk is unnerving presence.
You can heal, you aren’t one shot all game so you don’t have to play super safe
You aren’t Oblivious, so you can actually know where he is without being in a well co-ordinated SWF
Overcharge and Oppression aren’t that big of a deal without Shotgun Speaker. Without this add on, the game wouldn’t be dragged out nearly as long.
He can’t see you at all times
Everyone was injured after like 45 minutes because 3 gen would be impossible to break. it was not worth it to heal. The time efficiency to heal was not worth it in that particular match. It likely would be same with other killers. Not being oblivious likely does not matter because blight moves so fast that you cannot react to such speed. Overcharge and Oppression would not be a big deal however all killer can use unnerving presence to make overcharge/oppression skill-checks smaller. You only need to replace sloppy butcher with unnerving presence for other killers to have similar-level of skill-check difficulty. The 3 gen area is so small on torment creek that killer does not need to see you to know where you are in that particular 3 gen setup.
TL:DR None of these blight points matter in the context of that match.
The problem isn't that she could've won, it's that she can play around the 1 hour server shut down. No other killer can. Yes Blight can win before 50 minutes, so could this Skull Merchant player, the issue is that they WANTED to play around 1 hour shutdown and they could. No other killer can. The Skull Merchant in this game could have won, but they wanted to win through the server shutdown. THE TALKING POINT OF THIS MATCH IS THAT A KILLER CAN HOLD A GAME HOSTAGE FOR 50 MINUTES NOT WHETHER 3 GENNING IS STRONG!
As for your points.
Do you think killer had tracking problem when playing that 3 gen?
Yes actually. They spent the first half or so only patrolling 2 gens because they could see that no one was on the 3rd one. As soon the survivors decided to pressure all 3 gens the killer began to struggle. If they couldn't see where everyone was, they wouldn't know which gen was currently being working on and how many survivors were there, so they would have had to patrol all 3. She also got the opportunity to chase survivors occasionally because she knew only 1 person was working on a gen. If it was Blight he would have no idea if a gen had 1 or 3 survivors on it and it would force more pressure on him.
One shot
First off, yes Alchemist Ring should be nerfed or reworked, that add on is also problematic for a bunch of reasons. Second, Alchemist Ring is not the same thing as being one shot.
Even if the chase was short, it's still longer than being one shot. Also you would be able to remain on the gen longer before running AND lead him further away, allowing your team to work on gens a bit longer. And this doesn't take into account if he happens to miss. Then he is screwed.
Oblivious
She got no value from it because they were in a well co-ordinated SWF and called out her exact location. Yes you are right, in this game that add on would've been better, which is further proof that Skull Merchant is worse than Blight in this regard because she held it for 50 minutes and she wasn't even fully optimised. If they used that add on, they might have reached the 1 hour mark.
No one disarmed drones because they couldn't. She replaced them every couple of seconds and when they did get the chance, she was so close that they couldn't disarm it in time and had to run.
Oblivious wasn't an issue in this match, but in a normal match it would have been.
Healing
The reason they didn't heal was because they were Exposed the entire game. No point in healing if you are still one shot. They had to play safer because they were basically all injured from the start of the 3 gen because the drones Exposed them. It would not be the same for other killers, as you are not Exposed. Of course you probably shouldn't be healing constantly, but everyone being one shot made it more difficult.
Unnerving Presence
Literally no one uses this perk outside of impossible skill check Doctor or low MMR because it's not a good perk. Yes it would make Overcharge/Oppression harder to hit, but you also give survivors more skill checks to hit and good survivors that can hit Great Skill Checks reliably would welcome this because it would just give them more progress. The Blight would be better off with Call of Brine or literally any other perk not revolving around 3 gens so he could win earlier.
The only time Unnerving Presence would be a problem is if the killer had a way to further make skill checks harder to hit like Doctor or Skull Merchant. So even in this scenario you built, Skull Merchant is still a bigger issue.
TL;DR - The issue is that she can hold a game for over an hour, not that she could've beaten a pro team. Just because they are the best doesn't mean they should win every game, but NO killer should be able to hold someone hostage for an hour.
-
I’m assuming if you only wrote one character you already have the other ones?
If so, then I would say the best choices for you are:
- Resident Evil
- Bubba
- Darkness Among Us
- Saw
- Descend Beyond (since you are console this might be a tough one. If you want someone who is easier for console then maybe Knight but Blight is more fun)
Not sure how much you plan on getting, but I would say if to prioritise the licensed characters as you can unlock the others through shards. Unless there is someone who you really want, then get them first :)

but you never explained why she is an issue. you just said, "she is an issue". I explained why overcharge and regressing generator is a problem in 3 gens. my explanation is that killer can regress generator effectively such that they are doing 1000% regression in a match which means that survivor have to do 10+ gens to escape. that is why it can take long time to escape.
The other issue behind 3 gens is the maps. 3 gen spawn next to each other in a corner of the map like torment creek is a problem. there is too short of distance for a killer to walk around kicking gens. survivor cannot yoyo effectively to break 3 gen-locks when gens are in the corner of the map like that.
I watched the game. I do not want to say anything about builds but there is a build for skull merchant that allows you to beat eternal-type survivors. that build is overcharge, eruption, play with your food and sbtfl. the idea is that you go around hitting survivors for 10+ minutes until you hit 8 stacks of stbfl then once you hit 8 stacks stbfl. you find obsession which skull merchant found plenty of times in that 50 minute match. you charge 3 tokens of pwyf with her arm-traps and then you use stbfl+3 stack of pwyf to machine gun 1 survivor. Dan for example in that game was on death hook. If skull merchant had these perks instead of sloppy and 80 second oppression, then skull merchant could go super fast and tunnel Dan out of the game to create 3vs1. You do the same thing over and over till you kill entire team and you use the overcharge+eruption to regress gens through skill-checks and eruption proc's.
that is how you win with 3 gen strategy with an m1 killer like skull merchant. every single killer can 3 gen like that. all killer's can sit around and kick gens for 30+ minutes. The stronger killer do not need those plaster-fix anti-shift w plaster fix perks.
for example Blight can do that exact same 3 gen but he can just run 4 gen perks such as..... cob, overcharge, eruption, oppression. I think there is even add-on for that 3 gen gameplay. I believe add-on is purple add-on called soul chemical that just add overcharge checks when blight bouces near a gen. 3 gen gameplay is not exclusive to skull merchant at all. every single killer can 3 gen. the higher tier killer is, the more powerful they are at 3 gens. This is just in general. It is possible that a killer is low tier and can 3 gen but higher tier killer should win 3 gens more often. If blight was doing that exact 3 gen, he would likely win.
I did say what my issues with her were in my other post.
- She has eyes on everyone at all times, which makes breaking the 3 gen ridiculously hard
- Every has to play with 1 health state
- She can bypass the hack period by simply replacing the drone as she has no cool down
- Overcharge was only an issue this match because of Shotgun Speaker. They missed a lot of normal skill checks as well because of this add on which dragged the game out.
- They had to play the entire game Oblivous because of an add on. Without comms this would’ve have been near impossible to beat.
Yes other killers can 3 gen as well, but her entire kit amplifies all the issues with.
I agree with what you said about maps. They let the killer pick the map and he chose one with an insane 3 gen. Had it been a map like Mother’s Dwelling, he would have struggled. But the fact that a one killer has to ability to hold a game for an hour is stupid and should be addressed.
Yes Blight can also hold that 3 gen there well, but there’s a few reasons why it’s not as bad with him
- You can heal, you aren’t one shot all game so you don’t have to play super safe
- You aren’t Oblivious, so you can actually know where he is without being in a well co-ordinated SWF
- Overcharge and Oppression aren’t that big of a deal without Shotgun Speaker. Without this add on, the game wouldn’t be dragged out nearly as long.
- He can’t see you at all times
- Yes he probably would win, but he wouldn’t be able to drag it out for 50 minutes, which is the problem everyone is talking about.

“I tire of wasting my time with you”

Yeah I watched the entire 50 minute match.
The killer just spends the entire game kicking gens and barely chasing, trying to get the server to close at 1 hour. They kicked gens over 110 times!
The killer was pretty inexperienced (especially compared to the survivors) and messed up a lot. If he was more experienced he probably could've reached the 1 hour mark.
Skull Merchant definitely needs a rework.
