You still own the cosmetics though. If you buy the character you can still use them.
Stranger Things is the only one that you can’t use them again, so I can understand wanting a refund for those but I don’t know if that’s out of BHVR’s hands considering this is Steam’s decision and I don’t know if Netflix has to agree or not.

It's amazing the one who hides the most is usually the one doing most the BMing
The most toxic player is always the most useless one.
This applies to almost every other game as well in my experience.
-
Of course! How else would I get the immersive HUNK experience if I don't see it through red lenses?
-
Near impossible to know most times. Only thing you can really do is check their perks and see if they had any Haste perks. If they didn't then it's easier to figure out, but if they do then it's hard to know.
Other things to keep an eye out for:
- They outrun you even though you have Bloodlust or using a power like Legion (not very subtle, but can be sometimes)
- They bump into objects a LOT but still make it to every window or pallet
- They vanish when they turn a corner and their scratch marks/pools of blood abruptly stop (they probably teleported away)
- You hear someone make the falling "WOAH" sound even though there is nothing to fall from (when they teleport they usually are off the ground a bit and so they make the falling sound. Hard to notice because usually they won't TP near you)
- You get blinded even though they aren't nearby (probably the easiest way to pick up a cheater is if you chase them really far away from a downed survivor but still get blinded by them, even though there is no possible way they could've made it in time, then they probably have an automatic blind hack)
- Also they usually mess up the first blind and will start blinding you the millisecond you pick up the survivor and then re-blind you even though you are looking down.
- The unhook animation is faster than usual
-
Eruption meta was the easiest.
I wouldn’t even say this is the second easiest as Ruin/Undying meta and the period between Dead Hard’s latest nerf and Made for This release/Buckle Up buff/vault buff were easier.
I think killer is in a pretty good spot, but I don’t think it’s the easiest it’s ever been.
-
I would take off the Licker Tongue add on. The Hindered effect from his whip is so small that this add on provides next to no effect. It's arguably his worst add on. Marvin's Blood is what I would use instead, but most of his add ons are pretty bad.
As for perks, I think your build is pretty good and but I would personally take off Eruption and replace it with Pain Resonance or Pop Goes the Weasel.
Pain Resonance is the better perk in my opinion, but Pop combos well with No Where to Hide. Whichever you use, they both provide better slowdown than Eruption does currently.

I wouldn't worry about it.
No one so far has been banned for using custom icons and BHVR themselves won't ban you for it.
The only thing is if in a 1 in a million chance EAC somehow bans you, they won't unban you. But again, that's never happened.
I've used them in the past and many big streamers use them and have never been banned, so don't worry about it and use the icons you want :)

Keep in mind, Michael specifically used the word 'update' rather than rework, so I don't think this confirms he's getting an entire power rework again. An update is typically changes to their basekit/add-ons rather than a complete power rework.
Regardless - they've confirmed he is on their radar for changes.
Also keep in mind they just said he was "on the radar" and not that anything is necessarily going to happen soon or that they even have anything planned for him right now.
Twins have been "on the radar" since 2021, so I wouldn't expect anything soon.

Horrible making this perk so situational will guarantee it be complete trash. Right up there with bloodrush
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3513434#Comment_3513434
Maybe the perk should just do something entirely different outside of speed. These suggestions will send it stright to the 0.1 usage rate. Making the perk only useable when you close to death or your team dying is not the answer.
Fast track, low profile, sole survivor what do they all have in common? They work best when the team dead. No one use them perks and they won't use the new MFT either.
Wouldn’t be anywhere near as situational as Bloodrush because you don’t have to be healed and exhausted to use it.
If it’s still too weak you could also remove the exhaustion downside and let it combo with exhaustion perks.
I do agree though that completely changing it to something else would be much better. But I don’t have any suggestions for that :/
-
What if instead of activating when injured, it only triggers when on death hook but is active while healthy as well?
And of course remove the Endurance and Haste stacking.

Forgive me, I know it's a Demo and Bubba issue, too. It was just the patch notes specifically saying it fixed it for Billy, so I wanted to respond to it in terms of Billy, but yes Collision issues like this are very frustrating for all parties.
Oh I wasn't saying that you didn't know. No need to apologise :)
It's a problem for a lot of killers Billy does experience it more frequently than the others. Hopefully they listen and fix it.

Iri Head is fine right now I think.
Pinky Finger should get the Iri Head treatment and cap the limit of bottles at 2 so you can’t use other add ons to off set the downside.
Then give Clown some base kit buffs and then if Pinky Finger is still too strong nerf it further.

that is intended design of slinger. he is suppose to lose distance for missing. when you say blight can make distance and still get an m1 hit, I think you are referring to his 115% vs 110% m/s. deathslinger has 110% m/s because he is suppose to have a perpetual mindgames with his gun where survivor is suppose to make a prediction guess for when he is going to fire. the summary is that if you sway-left to right excessively, you lose distance as survivor because your not walking in a straight line while moving in a straight means that the deathslinger gets an easier shot.
The problem is that you do not need to ever strafe because you can hear his ads and keep running forward and when he fires, you side-step left or right on reaction. there is no mindgames or prediction required. you can react to his shot as long you are 12+ meter away from him and you will be past 12 meters because he is 110% m/s. his gun has tiny hitbox and it is not hitscan so the it is gun entirely possible react to the gun. getting hit by his gun is entirely on survivor making mistakes.
Nurse and Blight don't have to worry about landing their power and still not getting a hit.
nurse relies entirely on your ability. I have zero clue what level of survivors your playing against where nurse is getting m1 hits as 96% m/s. Blight relies on the ability but less than nurse.
“That is intended design of Slinger he is supposed to lose distance when missing”
Yes, and it’s too punishing because of it. His power isn’t strong enough to justify such a massive weakness. Huntress is stronger and loses less for missing. He should lose some distance, but it’s too punishing right now.
1.5 second miss cool-down + 2.75 second reload time = 4.25 seconds of cool down where you are slower than the Nurse and still losing distance and don’t have a mobility power like Nurse or Blight to catch up.
That is WAY too punishing for a power that requires aim and doesn’t even guarantee a down if you land it. Just reducing the reload to 2.25 or even 2.5 would be enough to make him feel less unforgiving.
”nurse relies entirely on your ability. I have zero clue what level of survivors you’re playing against where nurse is getting m1 hits as 96% m/s. Blight relies on the ability but less than nurse”
That’s not what I meant. I meant if you land a Blink or Rush on the survivor, you get an injure/down.
If you land a Harpoon with Slinger, the survivor can still break free. You aren’t guaranteed to get the hit in even if you shot them.
Slinger’s power is arguably harder to use than Nurse and Blight and isn’t even guaranteed to award you an injure or down by using while still being more unforgiving and punishing than both of those killers.

he can play 3 portals on best 3 gen then use rest of portals to pressure the map. once all other gens are completed, the portals that are randomly scattered on the map become dead portals so by allowing him to destroy it, your buffing 3 gen because he relocate them to strength his 3 gen. that is what @Trollinmon is talking about. to be fair, that is the most optimal way to play him anyway. all the killer that have props or trap-like abilities end up having a territorial play-style from very start of the game.
demo needs full rework but there is no incentive to do that because he makes 0 money so it is waste of resources. he will remain as a relic killer.
Since when does Demo need a full rework?

blight depends on number of charges but he does have cooldown if he misses all 5 of them. nurse has arguably most severe punishment in the entire game because she is 96% with fixed blink cooldown. I disagree on both accounts.
Deathslinger's punishment is massively out of proportion to the strength and difficulty of his power.
his punishment is align with his power. what is not align in his power is his gun strength and large counter-play towards the gun which accounts into artificial difficulty.
Yes Blight does have a cool-down but you can still make distance and get an M1 hit. You can't with Slinger because missing makes you lose distance.
Nurse does not come anywhere near close to the most severe punishment. Her fatigue is short, she recharges her power during the fatigue, and the other token only takes 3 seconds and then she's back on your ass again. She has very little down time. Plus she still made distance and your are closer to the survivor you are chasing and should be able to get a hit next time. For the strongest killer in the game that can ignore everything in the game, her punishment is not that bad. Legion's fatigue is longer and more punishing than hers.
And unlike Slinger, Nurse and Blight don't have to worry about landing their power and still not getting a hit.
A miss play is far more punishing for Slinger than Nurse and Blight. He loses tons of distance from a miss, his power is hard to land, and you aren't guaranteed to get a hit in. Yes the punishment is out of proportion to his power.
-
As someone who plays a lot of Deathslinger, YES! You reload so much that Warden's Keys feels mandatory against a good team.
Even just making his brown reload add on base kit would be nice.
And then of course give him an add on pass as his add ons are all awful except the reload ones.
@Devil_hit11 said:
your missing shots so you should get punished as killer for ineffective power usage. he is high skill killer but the gun has too much counter-play on survivor end along with too high terror radius with 110% m/s making pre-running gens too effective.
Misusing your power should be punishable, I agree, but Deathslinger's punishment is massively out of proportion to the strength and difficulty of his power. A single miss can cost you the entire game. And even if you land the shot, you still aren't guaranteed a hit. And if you do hit them you still need to reload.
Nurse and Blight have less punishment than him AND don't have to manually reload after each use.

I was mainly talking about new Perks, aka selling points for new Chapters/new Survivors. But even if you bring up 5 Perks which got buffed over years (!!!), this does not really change the point that Killers get useful Perks far more often than Survivors.
I don’t think it’s really fair to say survivors get nothing and then exclude everything they do get, especially when your idea of a good perks seems to be overpowered or meta defining.
Yeah sure killer might get more good perks in a chapter, but they get nerfed just as much as survivor perks or they are good but not meta defining. And they get just as many situational and garbage perks that survivors do.
If a perk is only considered good if they are MFT or CoH levels strong, then I don’t think the lack of good perks is the problem, it’s that in order for a perk to be classified as good it has to be borderline overpowered.

I mean, if Killers would not think this way we would not have several of them throwing a tantrum whenever a good Perk for Survivors is released. The last good Perk before Made For This was Circle of Healing and while this was too strong on Release, it got nerfed into uselessness over time. Reassurance did not even leave the PTB because suddenly Killer Mains were worried that
they cannot camp anymoreabout Survivors being held hostage by other Survivors...And before this we have Mettle of Man which was released long ago... And before this, basically Dead Hard or DS (I dont know which one was earlier, I think DS was earlier, so DH was released later). Both of them also nerfed quite heavily and not really useful anymore.
”The last good perk before Made For This was CoH”
Windows of Opportunity was buffed in the same patch CoH was added and is now the most used perk in the entire game.
Reassurance is still a good perk. It’s biggest issue is that it’s tied to a licensed character and should be a universal perk.
Dead Hard is still a good perk and synergies well with MfT.
Off the Record was buffed to be a pretty good perk.
Deja Vu was buffed just recently to become a very good solo queue perk.
And now there’s Buckle Up.
Saying survivors don’t get to have good perks is just wrong and saying that they haven’t gotten anything good since CoH is also wrong.
There’s a difference between good and overpowered.

There isn't.
We can tell from the stats that MFT has a pick rate if 12% or less, otherwise it would show up above Spine Chill at 6%.
12% is one every 2 games.
Well not exactly. It could have had less than 12% earlier and a higher pick rate now. Not everyone used MFT straight away.
It could have had 5-6% pick rate for the first month and have a 15% pick rate now and that would still be less than 6% overall.
These stats aren’t really indicative of whether MfT is common or not because there are too many variables. It could be in every game right now, or in every 5th game on average and we wouldn’t be able to tell from this.
-
He needs to be in the centre of your screen, and I think 40% of him has to be visible. I don’t know how you were looking at him, but most times I see people bring this up they have their camera tilted down and have him towards the top of the screen. Tilt your camera as if you were trying to flashlight him.
Also you can’t reveal him when you are Exposed.
-
You have 2 gens about to finish and one already done. You can probably get 2-3 of you guys out easily.
Sucks for the other player and boring in general, but the killer isn’t really favoured in this scenario.
Hopefully the anti-camping mechanic they are adding helps alleviate some of this.

Static Blast can hit multiple survivors, and yes his power can be used in chase to prevent survivors from dropping a pallet or vaulting, but that doesn't mean that's the primary function of his power. What does shocking survivors do? Inflict Madness. What does Madness do? Mostly nothing. It lets you track survivors with the right add-ons.
I agree that MfT harms Doc, but then it's not like there aren't other perks that can effectively do the same thing. A lot of Doc players I see find a survivor, and just shock them constantly like it's going to do something. Maybe all killers should have an add-on that inflicts exhausted. Then it'd simply be a matter of giving up an add-on slot.
Personally, I've had no issues against MfT as Plague or Ghostface.
Stopping interactions IS the main aspect of his power.
Madness isn’t used for tracking at all really, it’s used to waste time snapping out of it and to prevent them working on gens. Yes you might see a Doc aura across the map, but that’s not the main use of it. You still need to chase them afterwards, and that where MfT comes into it.
No one uses Shock Therapy to inflict Madness, it’s used as a chase tool to shutdown loops. Static Blast is the one used to inflict madness, and that has a 60 second cool-down.
Tracking is NOT his primary power anymore. It’s like Demo’s portals, a secondary power.
Made For This isn’t much of an issue for a lot of other killers, I agree. But this is about how Doctor is hurt by it.
Plague has a ranged attack and Ghost Face wants survivors to stay injured. Of course they aren’t affected by it. As a Ghost Face main, I agree it doesn’t effect him that much but that doesn’t make it not a problem for Doctor.

@Kaitsja said:

MfT doesn't make Doc's power non-existent. The primary purpose of it is to track survivors. It would have to be a chase power in order for MfT to make it non-existent.
No it isn’t. His main power is to prevent actions, such as window vaults and pallets drops.
Static Blast is the only tracking aspect of his kit and it has a 60 second cool down. And even then it’s often used to pressure people off gens.
He does have a chase power, but MfT makes it near useless because his movement speed is reduced while he charges his shock. This normally isn’t an issue, but with MfT you can’t catch up because the 3% makes it take longer to catch up that by the time he is in range the effects of his shock have worn off and they can perform actions again.
Doctor is without a doubt the killer hurt by Made for This the most. Maybe saying his power is non-existent was bit extreme, but he is definitely weaker with MfT in the game.
-
There hasn’t really been anything new that’s been fun or good for killers recently so no reason to really play it right now when survivor is more fun.
Singularity is frustrating and his perks are meh.
Survivors though have just gotten a few new meta perks, Nicolas Cage and a massive vaulting buff so there’s more stuff to try out on that side.
Once Alien releases we’ll see more people playing killer. And when the killer only chapter releases there will probably be more people on killer then as well.

@Kaitsja said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/386489/mft-is-a-problem
While watching a player who's regarded as the best at a specific killer can help with your gameplay by teaching you techniques, it's worth bearing in mind that they might be in a completely different skill bracket to you.
That being said, you want to know how to beat players running MfT? It's not great on long stretches where there's no resources. Focus on gen defense and getting downs will come naturally. The more pressure you apply, the more survivors will begin to make mistakes and exhaust their available resources.
Chases are important, but don't forget that the survivors ultimate goal is to repair the generators to power the gates and escape. You want to focus on preventing that. Don't worry too much about your first two gens. There are 7 generators total in a match. If you try to defend all 7, you'll spread yourself too thin.
The problem is that Doctor can’t really do that. Yes he can pressure the gens, but you won’t be getting any downs unless the survivors screw up big. Other killers can make use of the survivors mistake and get a stealth down or catch up and quickly down them, but Doc can’t. If you play like this as Doctor you have virtually no power because you waste too much time shocking people with MfT.
This play style is good, but Doctor is just too handicapped to make it work. The OP wants to play Doctor but they can’t because MfT makes Doc’s power non-existent. That’s the problem, that a killer is so hard-countered by a perk that they are better off not even using it.
-
Made For This didn’t exist for half of it, so it’s got a 0% pick rate for a large portion of this.
And it also wasn’t that common immediately after release as not everyone had it and didn’t pick up usage until recently.
These stats aren’t representative of Made for This in the slightest.

This was first event i saw when i started DbD. I excited when i heard this event is coming back.
But now i just hate it.
Generators and hooks are so lame. 2018 version generators was much better.
Event offerings are so rare.
It's so hard to get good bp as survivor.
Jake and Clown costumes are so lame as well but it's free content, so i won't complain about this.
But overall, i hated this event. It feels like they did not put any effort for this event.
To be fair, what effort did they put into the first one?
Yes the gens and hooks looked nicer and the Hillbilly weapon was cool, but that's it.
BP gains were less than now because not every gen/hook was a BBQ one unless everyone brought an offering. And you didn't get any additional BP unless you brought the offering.
Only 2 cosmetic pieces, not even full outfits. Kate's was just a recolour of her default shirt as well.
Unlocking the cosmetics was worse because you could only repair/hook on specific gens/hooks to earn the tokens. Killers were camping the BBQ gens to prevent people from getting the rewards and survivors were saboing the BBQ hooks so killers couldn't get them either. You needed to repair 50 summer gens just to get a Kate shirt.
Survivors BP gains were MUCH worse back then.
The event didn't even have a unique lobby.
This event was always meh. It's a small side event, it's not supposed to be anything special. The only thing it had going for it were the pretty gens.

i think this is latency. it is what happens with wesker's virulent bounds where you used to grab survivors on the other side of the vault. the survivor on their screen is already on other side but you as killer have latency and see them on other side a lot later.
That would make sense, but even as survivor I feel like I’m not being hit even when I should be.

fast vaults are suppose to keep momentum meaning that once a survivor completes fast-vault, they are out of the range of an m1 swing but medium vaults do not keep momentum meaning that the killer can still hit the survivor on the other side of the vault after completing the medium vault. you need walk like 0.5 second away from window to not get hit. apparently somewhere down the line, they bugged the momentum on fast vaults and nobody noticed.
The problem though is that you can’t hit them even if they are still mid vault. It’s like as soon as their body crosses over the window, the swing will hit the window instead even though they are technically still in range.
