As long as they would be like those tutorial bots it wouldnt make no difference playing a 3vs1 or having a bot.

    Bingo! :)

  • @Satelit said:

Bots should 100% be added in custom games but they have no place in public games.

A practice mode for killers is long overdue.

I'd rather have a bot Survivor replace a d/cer than nothing at all.. Seriously.

I just wish i could see who is in a premade. Like if the 4 are playing together, highlight the 4.

"But everyone would dodge a 4 stack flashlight swf!!!". Nah, not everyone. Some blight main with 4 gen slowdown would play against them.

Same. This would make the game a ton more enjoyable. I don't like playing against SWF. Period. It just isn't fun.

I will say that my thinking on this game's balance is usually killer-centric, because it's the more fun role (ideally) to me, and I play it a lot. I think the role has a heck of a lot of issues that have needed addressing for years, and it hasn't happened yet. If you were to ask me if the game was survivor sided, my answer would always be yes. But that doesn't mean survivors don't have their own problems. It's unfair for the killer to make a few mistakes, because they're only human, and lose the game by a landslide. But it's also unfair for a survivor to get killed guaranteed if the killer chooses, simply because of which killer they were, off of getting downed a single time. It's unfair that they can't really avoid getting tunneled if nobody has BT or DS. It's unfair that they get teammates that are so far below their skill level consistently in solo queue. I play survivor too, so I know these things. I don't know how we're gonna go about it, but I'm hoping some time in the future, both sides' problems will be solved, and not just one or the other's. Not everyone likes to play both sides, but if you do, you will have a far better grasp on game balance, and the general appeal of each role.

The beacon we all need. Fix the game in general. Survivor and Killer join forces to make the devs give both sides what is needed.

  • She's just boring to play and boring to play against. Not to mention just picking her or facing her is so annoying having to listen to that constant sound she makes... Yeesh..

  • I'd say so.. It hit harder in the east I bet.

  • Should've been added a long time ago. The AI bots in the Tutorial are better than 3/4ths of the people you get matched with...

  • The Game....Red Forest....Swamp.......and RPD....just wow.

  • Whenever they add a new license. That is it.

In all the DH threads, survivors have most graciously pointed out that SB is so much better for them than DH.

I never realized how 70% or 80% of survivors are deliberately using an inferior perk, to give us killers a chance! From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Or...wait. How many of you own monocles and Victorian fainting couches? Hold them tight and pull them near, respectively, because I've heard another theory:

    ...

    ...

DH is actually much, much better than SB for many reasons explained at length, and survivors' dire warnings about using SB are a bad faith deflection to avoid a DH nerf!

    Which is more likely, friends?

Sprint Burst requires more brain power to use effectively. You can just wing it with DH and still come out on top with basic W toward pallet aim.

Hey so looking at all of the perks (survivor and killer), it seems like a lot of survivors hate NOED and killers seem to equally dislike Boil Over (as well as Boons). I feel that I always need to point this out but I'm a 50/50 (killer/survivor). Personally, I don't care if a survivor is using BO or even DS for that matter because dropping/ not picking up is always an option that still allows you to proxy the area. Boons aren't an issue either simply because I understand what it's like for survivor teams that have one or two "challenged" players (specifically two survivors that aren't doing gens, healing, unhooking, etc. I've had the displeasure of matching with a lot of these survivor teams on both ends).

Two perks that I really dislike (yes, even more than NOED) are Agitation and Iron Grasp. One of them is bad enough but lately, I'm seeing more killers run one or both of these perks and it's even worse than when a survivor is using DS or BO. Iron Grasp on it's own pretty much guarantees a hook so I probably have more of a dislike for this perk from a survivor standpoint. As for my killer view, I mean there are hooks all over as it is and it just seems pointless to run Iron Grasp. It's still possible to wiggle out (I've done it myself) but only because I run Boil Over, Flip-Flop, Tenacity, and Power Struggle. The problem is the original issue that I addressed earlier about bad teammates. Unless someone is willing to cover you or you fall in a specific spot, it's going to be difficult in terms of survival.

I'm just wondering what everyone else's thoughts are. Personally, I think IG should get a rework as 75% seems a bit high but maybe I'm not looking at this clearly.

No it isn't even close to being too strong. Even if it was buffed "decrease wiggle effects from 75% to 100% (which I would) it STILL wouldn't be strong in the grand scheme.

This is focusing on another area of the game. Dead Hard is being addressed already will take time, just like Patrick said secondly, NOED isn't something I'd add to this section it's not focusing on the area I'm looking at.

Not really. They are just disabling them in general. You heard what they said in my notes above. No arguing with devs. :P

    GENERATOR SPEED CHANGES
    BRAND NEW PARTS

We want to keep Brand New Parts true to their name, but we want them to focus less on gen speed and more on the Toolboxes themselves

Brand New Part- Each skill check will reward you for charges spent on the toolbox back to 100% after which the addon will disappear.

"Additional Charge Speed Addons will not be refunded"

    Clean Rag

    10% --> 2%

    Socket Swivels

    30% --> 5%

We've decided to reduce the percentages on Clean Rag & Socket Swivels because we feel they give a huge boost to Gen Speeds and because of that we've toned them down. We believe toning these addons down is important for better length matches.

    Prove Thyself

We've decided to go a new route with the perk and remove all Generator Speed bonuses and instead and opted for a new approach.

Prove Thyself- After unhooking a Survivor the unhooked is granted a small haste speed bonus.

We want Prove Thyself to stay true to it's name, but we want it to be more anti tunnel.

    Spine Chill

While we think Spine Chill is within a good place, we've opted to remove the bonus for generator speed; we would rather this perk be used for information and chases and last ditch healing while opting out of it being used for generator bonuses.

    THE TRAPPER

It's no secret that Trapper needs something else as he's currently not looked at as a threat, nor is he strong in comparison to other killers and because of that we want to bring him to level with other killers.

Bear Trap- We've decided to make it so anytime a Trap is active within 3 meters of Trapper he gains a 2% speed boost.

The idea behind this is Trapper has very little to offer within a chase; we want to give him more incentive to trap while also giving him better chase potential and more reason for Survivors to deactivate his traps and more reason for him to place them. We will be keeping an eye out and will make changes as needed.

    THE SHAPE

Everyone's favorite Haddionfield boogeyman has found himself getting the wrong end of the stick as of late, so we've decided to implement some changes.

Evil Within- The Shape becomes obsessed with one Survivor at the start of the trial stalking the obsession will grant him bonus power-up speed.

While his power remains the same, we think adding the obsession bonus is just enough to bring him into line.

    Tombstone Piece

We've decided to rework this addon; while it's a beloved addon for Micheal Myers, we feel it's not in line with the vision we have for him.

Tombstone Piece- Now Grants the Ability to Mori your Obsession

While this remains the same, we wanted to remove the ability to Mori at random with this Addon and instead opted to give you the ability to only mori your Obsession.

Finally, let me know what you guys think of these changes, is this something you guys could get behind?

We have removed the following perks from the game until further notice: Survivor Perk - Dead Hard / Killer Perk - N.O.E.D.

    FIXED

I'm skeptical. That was in F13 and that game was very popular. It only died because of the lawsuits

Patrick. That is the dev that talked about the getting parts for Gens at the beginning of the game and they said they didn't like it. Boom.

Make it so killers within x meters of the hook get 10 seconds of grace time before the hook timer is suspended everytime the killer is within x meters UNLESS another survivor is also in the same radius. Then the hook timer proceeds normally.

Make a weaker version of Borrowed Time basekit but remove collision detection for it as well.

Adjust generator speeds so that they take longer to do or have an additional objective such as getting parts from chests to either repair generators or exit doors.

Camping, tunneling and gen speeds are all inter connected. As soon as one is affected the other has to be as well.

I believe in an interview the devs said they tried that "get parts for the generators" thing and nobody liked it. Maybe they should've let the community be the judge.

  • You must be thinking of some other bloke brother. Started playing DBD yesterday.

Totally not a very serious problem that could impact Behavior far worse than us with them botting the servers to crash them, but it's fine.

This poster identifies a glaring issue in the development of DBD. That being: "Priorities".

I’m gonna have to ask if and how you distinguish between ‘camping’ and ‘facecamping’. ‘Cuz the latter, especially when done by a certain figure, is not fine. The former is mostly fine, imo.

Camping as in: Killer shack, Huntress IRI Head, 2 hooked in basement, body blocking the door closest to stairs while letting them put the pallet down at the other door. So you stand there, hatchet cocked and ready to throw, simply watching that single door and window. Good luck. xD

  • @TragicSolitude said:

do they just want all killer gone and they game dead

They want killers to be their entertainers. Rather than pay a person to do the job of entertainer, though, they'd rather punish people who paid to play a game but refuse to conform to that role.

Also, a lot of comments I see imply that yes, many survivors really do believe anyone who plays killer is a bad person at their core. It's weird and actually kind of disturbing. I can only assume their end-goal win condition is to get rid of all killer players and thus rid the world of this horrible evil, becoming the unsung heroes of their generation.

This is the single greatest comment that should be forced into everyone's head.. Survivor and Killer alike..

  • @EvilBarney666 said:

I have said this in a previous post. Swf (especially with comms) is an advantage.

Sure killers can still win. You should not be punished for playing with friends.

I would hope everyone can admit that it IS an advantage. A perk like knockout is negated by swf on comms. "I'm down by the shack come get me"

    That's an advantage.

Bingo. Knockout being a very very small fraction of what Killers have at their disposal that is easily negated by SWF. 100% agree.

  • @Colton147147 said:

Killer perks are much more overpowered than survivor perks.

    Wrong.

  • @GentlemanFridge said:

Roughly speaking, you can take half a year for changes to be implemented from when they’re teased. With that in mind, there was the dev stream where they mentioned they’re looking at the distance part. It’s not coming in this mid-chapter, and most likely won’t be coming with the anniversary release, so then the first realistic option is the mid-chapter following that.

    That’s my guess, anyway.

Half a year for "this" dev team..sure. Need more efficiency then don't they? Or perhaps their priorities are all screwed up. Game health really hasn't come up in patches as much as it needs to. Most would agree with that statement I'd say.

I was there for it, lmao. Breakable walls kinda ruined that patch for me.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2883150#Comment_2883150

Nah. When there's 2 roles in the game and the game favors 1 side more than the other, there's an issue. And that's an issue which needs addressing.

    This guy gets it.

  • @Tiufal said:

There is absolutely no reasons for any change regarding the group size. Stop blaming SWF for every loss.

It is unbalanced. Anyone in denial of that needs a reality check. You don't even have to play Killer to see how unfair it is.. xD

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2883181#Comment_2883181

There are definitely more than 3 viable killers. You can even 2k with a killer like Clown against the sweatiest possible 4 man if you play smart.

Consistently though? Across every map and then averaged out?... Don't think so.. Nurse is still # 1 in that regard.. Same formula..

  • This requires too much work. The makers have to be invested enough to do something like that. Bare minimum effort my friend.
