  • No this version can't go live either. If you thought day 1 Singularity was bad since he was so easily hard countered this version will be even worse.

    • Line of sight blockers and debri is gonna be her hardest counter.
    • What's stopping the survivors from just immediately ripping off the claw traps when SM isn't nearby when she has no mobility.
    • Survivors would just hold W and leave the loop if she ever places down a drone so tagging them would be an excessive hassle.
    • If the drone flies off and misses since you aren't moving as a killer the survivor will get a lot of free distance from you.

This version feels like you have to put in a LOT more work just to get any chance of success from using your power and it still ruins her identity as a trap killer. Maybe combining SM 2.0 with this version could work? Spitballing ideas here.

    • Drones are 2.0 version, but don't give SM undetectable when placed.
    • Hinder/haste removed and instead gives the survivors oblivious. So she retains her stealth when hunting her target.
    • She keeps the drone buddy to shoot survivors that have a claw trap.
    • Survivors should not be allowed to freely rip off the claw traps. They either need a timed life or introduce a new killer object like plague pools to remove the claw traps. (Tool table?)

Another huge problem that's possible not with the killer herself but the voting poll that you gave last time of a rework idea. The majority I'm certain of from those votes are from survivors and the results are heavily survivor bias. I really wouldn't trust those when survivors players far outnumber the amount of SM players. I just can't trust that poll it when survivors would rather change SM when they don't play her at all or don't care as long as she's completely changed and risk losing what few SM players there's left.

  • As miserable as it can be sometimes I'm fine with it. Every killer has there strong and weak maps.

  • Could not have been any better. Queen is a tad small compared to her movie counter parts, but that's understandable. She's still an amazing cosmetic even if it's a bit pay to lose.

  • I didn't like the planned rework of SM myself. Placing drones around and controlling them to crash into the survivors feels far too much like Pinhead and Singularity to me. It kills her identity as a surveillance/trap killer and this rework would have potential to make her a monster at holding 3 gens again.

Her 2.0 version was my favorite and used to play her and Singularity quite a bit and in a way they both felt like polar opposites and felt similar when played. Place your object down to surveillance the area.

Of all the killer's Larry has to have the highest APM (actions per minute) required to be good with. Place pod, control pod, quickly look, either cancel or target another pod. Only could handle a few games at a time before i would get a headache and there's SM.

Trap killers are my favorite in the game with SM being 1 of 3 trap based killers, Artist and Singularity kinda. SM could get more consistent value from her traps and she could place them down quickly. Once all the traps in place and active you don't need to think about your power anymore you just hold W towards them. Problem though with Trapper and Hag IS they take too long to set up, can be too easy to shut their power down and Hag can't chase. So they feel horrible to play as compared to SM. But since she's been gutted there's no good trap killer to play as.

  • I'm away from my PC so can't screen shot it yet, but got just over 16 million BPs and several completed tomes not claimed yet. Been saving everything for FNAF chapter.

  • And I have lots of reasons to avoid in game chat. No thanks would not want to put up with others whining or toxicity. If anything a quick chat of sort with pre-made messages could work. Didn't DBD mobile had one?

  • It was months ago. Not really seen or used probably cause just bring in a medkit instead and bring in a different perk.

Isn't he one of the killers who can achieve the 10 min abandon tho currently?

Many other killers can do it if they try hard enough with the right set up.

I play Larry sometimes still. While he can be very strong he does have a very high skill floor to be good with. He also probably the most micro demanding killer in the game with all the bio-pods and cameras that eventually wears me out.

  • Not really that hard to dodge her dog. She's plays a lot like like DeathSlinger, but she whistles loudly when she's gonna send Snug after you unlike DS.

They did this for Blight and Jane for the tome a little while back. It's not a constant rotation but it does happen at times now.

I don't remember that at all the only thing i remember that they've done for free character try outs were Splinters as Iri offerings way back years ago and that was a rather bad introduction imo since had to play with no perks or add-ons.

  • It should be fixed by now and double check inbox for a notice about it and a compensation for 1.5 million BPs.

  • With so many changes made to the core game of DBD such as 8 kick limit on gens and the haste and hinder stacking being removed and more telegraphed with a % number showing and few other changes made. May add well just revert her back to her 2.0 state with a few tweaks so she's at least in a playable state.

Just really don't want another failed rework like Twins. Made players wait for years for a rework and only for it to be a disaster with overwhelming backlash that made them even worse and had no choice but to throw it all out revert everything and toss in a few number changes.

Like a Prayer Mix Epic Version Deadpool & Wolverine while bobbing my head and dance as killer.

Necrod a 4yr old thread... anyway

Can't figure out how to provide a link since I'm on phone I'll just leave the YouTube title.

"A work of Art" Dead by Daylight X Fnaf animated music video

Short 2min song i start playing when playing as killer as match starts.

  • Kinda when they can't complete any gen for 10 minutes the option comes up to abandon match without penalty. Its very similar to the EGC timer running out it just kills the survivors immediately to end the match. Match ends right there BPs are kept and progress for challenges believe are also kept. Adepts can be obtained this way if it comes to it.

Only 2 things that aren't impacted is MMR and pips i believe?

  • The worst achievement I had to go through to get was tome 1 land 4 PALLET stuns on the killer in a single match. Took me days to get this eventually got it after changing my user name to "Tome1 4Pallet stuns" against a Myers that just farmed.

The other was Left for Dead(?) managed to get it legitimately against a Spirit on The Game map. With everyone else dead Repair the final gen and escape vai gate. Wasn't until months later I learned it doesn't need to be the 5th and final gen could've been any one gen and wait for killer to close hatch then could open the gate.

  • I feel as he should apply deep wounds only on targets that are already injured, not healthy.

  • What Aven has said. they can still make changes for pinhead as needed they can't add anything new for him like skins. His perks would likely get changed to be more generic like what they've done with Demo perks and make them free for everyone.

  • As much as I like that this is probably the very first new kind of gen we got it's not healthy for the game. No I don't mean that perks don't affect it. The amount of time survivors spend working on the gen itself is very short compared to a standard gen.

Survivors fill the blood cans at the pumps which the killer can't see and hide like rats if the killer is close enough and once it's safe the survivor only spends a short amount of time on the gen. So the killer has a much smaller time frame to interrupt survivors working on the gen.

  • That's the thing though. It's impossible to tell from their end if it was an intentional DC, internet crashed or you just pulling the plug. It's just one of the requirements for playing online PvP games need a stable connection or you risk crashing and ruining the game for the others.

  • Only 5 million? Darn i already got 10 million saved up i can't use yet.

  • Awesome as that would be idk how that would when work since Neo, Dante or who ever would most likely try to pick a fight with the killer's... then again we already Bill, Ashley(?) and a bunch of RE characters in DBD.

I've always did enjoyed DMC series more than RE.

  • There's since very questionable issues I've seen with Ghoul. That's he probably really shouldn't have.

    • Only killer in the game that uses a hit box function instead of a projectile and the size of the targeting box is massive.
    • Has more range than DeathSlinger!
    • Has a massive window of time between leaps before it's forced on cooldown.
    • Has an autoaim function!
    • Lacks a fatigue after using power.
    • Lacks any real punishment for messing up their power.

Few changes I would make if could.

    • Change power to work like a projectile similar to huntress hatchet.
    • Reduce the range about 30% but try to keep the distance you send yourself flying about the same it currently is.
    • Reduce the window time between dashes and half and slightly reduced movement speed while holding power. Similar to Wesker.
    • Reduce the size of the powers hitbox and get rid of the auto aim.
    • A fatigue after using power for leaping around so can't hit them with a M1 so quickly.
  • It doesn't need any further changes it's just being used often now since everyone is playing Ghoul.

  • It's really unfair the how this killer feels to play against. I've never had problems when a new killer releases as the counter play is transparent and can learn how to deal with them, but Ghoul? I just can't figure it out. His power should not be a instant hit scan should be a projectile like every other killer. It's just too easy to land his power and injure survivors. Sure can't down with his power, but does that really matter when he can close the gap so fast on you? I didn't bought him, but noticed his window between jumps is HUGE from watching streamers. No other killer has a window that big! His power/mobility has too much safety and so little risk to it he really needs something when literally every other killer gets punished for messing up their power. A fatigue, long cooldown, small window between dashes, harder to obtain enrage mode or losses it after hook. Needs something.

    @Coffeecrashing said:

When killers hook a survivor, they should be encouraged to leave the hook to find someone else. Forcibly taking away enraged mode when a survivor is hooked, does the exact opposite, and encourages the killer to camp the hooked survivor, because you just took away their increased mobility to patrol the map.

His mobility is already insane. He doesnt need to be able to cross the entire map.

  • Also when you do get the option. The tab you click on to leave the match changes. Can't remember exactly think it usually says abandon, but when it's allowed it changes to surrender with a confirmation of what's gonna happen. So you don't exactly eat the penalty.

  • I've only played several survivor games so far and watched Bronx for couple hours playing as Ghoul. I haven't bought the killer. He feels a bit too oppressive. Games I've played he just quickly dominates the matches out of about 10 matches only 2 survivors escaped. 1 via door and other hatch. Mostly getting the 4k with only 1 or 2 gens getting done. Other than just calling out for nerfs i got a few whys?

From watching the killer's PoV (Bronx) landing his power seems too forgiving and very hard to avoid for survivors. Why does he even have the reticle when aiming his power when no other killer has one?

Should he really be allowed to cancel his power mid dash for a very quick M1?

Can't down with power, but wouldn't he be fine if he was %110 considering he can close the gap so quickly on survivors? If they're not already at a loop or tile your just dead.

Why does he not have a fatigue after using his power? Probably the only killer in the game that doesn't have one and he has insane mobility.

I know it's still too early, but I'm thinking he's potentially S tier along side Blight and Nurse.

  • Seems nice but would likely cause nauseous. With how short the animation is and it's a very quick back and forth transition.

  • Chucky, having the 3rd person PoV often throws me off that I can't properly judge the distance with him so I often wiff my M1 attacks.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/441393/what-are-your-thoughts-on-houndmaster

I have played against HM 95% and played as HM 5%.

I personally do not think resisting the dog’s bite by yourself should take as long as it does. It is a guaranteed hit in the current state. I think it should not be a guaranteed hit. There should be skill expression.

That's how it should be. The skill expression is the dog has a very narrow hit box when being sent out just like any other projectile. After Snug bites you your options are very limited. Killers don't need unnecessary counter play.

  • It's a seasonal FOMO thing. Ugly sweaters only available during the Christmas season, other events skins with their respective events. It sucks, but there's if it's not there then have no choice to wait until they bring it back into the store.

  • People are gonna hate her no matter what they do with SM. Her 2.0 version was maybe her most healthy state. I don't like these proposed changes either as it completely removes her identity. She's a trap/stealth killer not a chase/projectile killer like Twins and Artist. Not counting SM we only have Trapper and Hag as trap killers, Artist kinda. Maybe rework Trapper so he just yeets his traps at survivors heads or Hags curses sends out bugs? SM trap style was my favorite since Trapper and Hag are too easily shut down.

Really idk what to do with her either. Maybe just revert her back to her 2.0 version and improve it further. Maybe start with making the haste/hinder more noticeable and telegraphed that there's a big speed difference.

  • Can't really call it a nerf when it completely changes her into something different. She'll become another projectile/dash killer like a mix between Artist and Twins instead of a trap/stealth. Could be potentially a balancing nightmare if they go through with it. They really should just revert her back to 1.0 or 2.0 with improvements and make the haste/hinder more telegraphed. They've made changes to the base game already which completely shuts down her ability to hold 3 gens forever.

No matter what the devs do the haters will still hate her. I don't ever recall seeing any of them provide any constructive feed back other than delete her and 3 gen hostage which can't do anymore.

  • Might seem good on paper, but this removes her identity as a stealth/trap killer into another dash/projectile. The 2nd version was my favorite. Bit of a rant of ideas.

Drones as projectiles could have a lot of issues. Would they even be viable at loops? Really would not like her drones to work like pinhead, Houndmaster, or Victor.

The global detection power seems neat, but it needs lingering effect and how long the global detection will last. Get rid of the haste/hinder and replace with oblivious. She won't really have a chase power, but it'll make her potentially a strong stealth/ambush killer on par with Wraith. Remove the clawtrap battery and instead replace them with work tables. (Think jigsaw boxes) they'll have to go to these stations and spend couple seconds 4-7 to remove them. Failing the mini game gives the killer a loud notification and/or killer instinct. Visually change the beams so they're not a cone anymore and instead a simple straight beam. So they can see that survivors can simply duck under the beams to avoid detection.

  • Crashing drones into survivors seems fun, but with a charge up to it will it really be affective with loops or open areas only? It's already insanely hard aiming the Houndmasters dog on the 2nd dash with such a small window and narrow hit box really don't need to that to the drones .Really i would like her to reverted back to her 2nd version but works little differently. Ranting out an idea

Haste and hinder gone completely. Traps still injure maybe deep wounds. She doesn't gain stealth anymore when placing drones, when a survivor has an active claw trap on them they suffer from oblivious instead as well as show their location on her radar. Running into a drone beam recharges battery instead of haste/hinder. Visually change the drone beams cut them in half horizontal instead of a cone so they can see that they could duck under the beam and be fine. Hacking minigame be slightly harder instead letting them take it slowly and safely and on fails the drone explodes on their face with injure and loud notifications for killer.

  • Read through it and something of a mix between Singularity, Houndmaster and Twins?

Can the ramming drones down survivors or injure only? Potentially really nasty gen defense. Switching between the killer's pov and their powers pov can make it a bit disorienting.

  • I never played any of the FNAF games, but I've watched Markiplier play through them all and I've watched most of the lore videos. Not a fan of the games, but am a big fan of the story and characters.

Know how protective Scott is of FNAF I highly doubt we'll see any of the original animatronics as playable characters or cosmetics. Scott probably one of the few people that sees them as confused murdered children, not robots and make sense why he doesn't want to see them in any games. SpringTrap maybe being the only exception since he's the only adult and is a killer that caused everything.

Could be FNAF themed cosmetis, but highly doubt it'll be the characters themselves. Maybe something like scrap baby or that twisted abomination w/e it's called for Dredge could be an option?

  • @bjorksnas said:

I think a good side objective to add would be something to make 3 gens even worse to hold because thats just not good gamepaly so heres my Idea

    Broken generator and special toolbox

The broken gen would spawn into a trial at 1-2 gens remaining at the furthest possible location furthest from the remaining generators, somewhere in a random totem spot at least 50% of the map away from the broken gen will spawn a special temporary toolbox that when used on the broken gen to turn it into a regular generator making it available to repair. Interacting with the broken gen without the toolbox will reveal to location of the toolbox to you and all other survivors for the rest of the trial.

Basically another gen that will spawn in to weaken 3/4 gens but it requires additional time investment to even start repairing

(this is an additonal gen the survivor team still has to complete 5 gens and there still starts with 7 gens in the trial, this is completely additonal / optional to use situationally)

I've had a very similar idea myself. 2 broken gens on the map and instead of a special tool box you need to find parts for them to make them into a standard gen for repairs. To repair a broken gen you need 3 of 5 parts that are on the map somewhere. So only one can be rebuilt and survivors will have to decide which one. Would help kill those nasty 3 gen set ups that killers refuse to leave.

  • If I remember right this was years ago can't remember who, but was stated the advantage over bad ping has to be killer sided. Even if the ping is bad for killer the match is some what playable and plays out like a normal game with hooks, downs, gens, saves and w/e. If it was flipped around in survivors favor the killers would likely won't get any hits or downs. Maybe a few hooks if any, but it becomes border line unplayable for the killer and if the killer can't do anything the what's the point of the match?

Devs likely choose to give the killer's the advantage other wise there'll be far less killers playing and survivors would be sitting in que for a lot longer then player base would drop.

  • It's always possible, but I only see SpringTrap being the only killer that'll be brought to DBD. Since he is the killer from FNAF and everything that happened was because of him.

Maps and cosmetics have a lot of potential. However I doubt we'll see the original 4 animatronics. Everyone sees them as just killer robots Scott's likely one of the few people that sees them as confused murdered children instead of mindless robots. So it makes sense why he doesn't like collab with anyone.

  • The flame throwers got an insane buff possibly stronger than even EMPs were on Singularity release. This nerf feels almost on par with Hillbilly overheat change that only made it far worse for everyone or Skull Merchants butchering. Only difference is there's a promise on updating SM, but looking at BVHR past history with making changes it could take years before it comes. Xeno gutting could likely stay with no foreseeable changes.

  • Having both the 15 seconds before the heat comes off and the slower heat decay is overkill. Having one of them would be better, but not both. With both doubt you'll ever get any heat decay again and be forced to either go in tunnels or just eat the fire and wait on a long cooldown fire crawler mode.

  • "April - June" so next month or 2

  • They've done that before years ago in DBD early days. It was terribly managed and played out. Quickly over booked so only 16(?) teams were raffled in. No rules, no perks, every single game was the same. Coal tower, 4 blendettes and nurse killer.... every, single, game. The two guys casting the games were also rather bad all I remember is one of them consistently kept saying "off to Valhalla" when someone got sacrificed which confused everyone since Valhalla is not a thing in DBD.

If they tried again today they could do a much better job than back then, but with DBD being an asymmetrical game it's probably best not to and just leave it to the fans.

  • It should be something shown in the pause menu after the game has loaded up, but maybe not during lobby before the match officially starts.

  • For asymmetrical games like this having proper balance for both sides is almost impossible. Things can still be improved and the devs can help put in things for players to remove toxic play styles like face camping and all the QoL updates coming this year. Not ever gonna be perfect, but it has come a long way since the games first release.

Death Garden was another asymmetrical game and the devs tried to balance it around high MMR players, but all it did was completely destroy the balance for all the casual players that make up the majority of the player base. It's a dead game now and I pray DBD doesn't make the same mistakes that Death Garden did.

  • Even though nothing confirmed yet I got my ideas.

The chapter will be mostly on the first FNAF games with SpringTrap nothing after Security Breach.

Killer will be SpringTrap with a fire axe as his weapon. He keeps getting trapped inside a burning building, like 3 or 4 times now? So it can work as a weapon and a tool to escape.

Survivor be the son Michele Afton either the healthy living version or the undead sister location version. Since he's just pixels BVHR gonna have to do another character work like they did with survivor Yochi from The Ringu.

They could go wild with cosmetics. Vannie, scrap baby, whatever that fused tangled abomination was called.

Map a indoor/outdoor hybrid map of the pizzaplex from FNAF3 like how the DnD map is since the pizzaplex building itself would be far too small to be a proper DBD map.

SpringTrap power may involve the Phantom Animatronics since that's the only thing he had working for him and jump scares or an original power we've never seen like what they had to do with Pyramid Head.

  • I say these are good changes.

The "go next" prevention im very positive that will only affect the very first survivor of the match that causes the match to be doomed for the rest of the survivors. In a 2v1 or 3v1 situation it's already a lost match so I highly doubt it'll punish you then. They didn't share the details on what triggers it and they'll be fine tuning it.

For the extreme hiding survivors or rats i like to call them. It's not the crows that trigger when you're afk it's a new set of crows that'll trigger when survivors refuse to make any progress.

  • I play Brotatoe while waiting in killer que.

  • My opinion even if you all might dislike it. I'll accept having 2 bots max in 2v8. I just don't have the patience to ever play killer having to wait 10-20min ques. Oh but the bots might be stupid, useless, never touching gens, etc. I already see a lot of real survivor players already running around like headless chickens in 2v8 don't think anyone gonna notice what the bots would be doing all game.

1 … 6 7 8 9 10 … 26
