I don't see how tea bagging and bringing a party streamer is classed as bullying? o.O
Some people don't have thick skin and it can feel intimidating when there are 4 people constantly harassing you. It's mainly newer people it effects cause they don't know what to do in that situation.
It's kinda similar to why a survivor can feel victimised when they are camped tunneled. Some people just don't have the right mindset for online gaming.
-
That would be awesome. You pull the hook and it lights up.
There is so much they could do with collectables and the lack of merch is a bit depressing.
-
I'd pay for a gen/hook paperweight. It would make my work desk happy.
-
I'd just go do totems and open chests till the game can start.
-
It's a bit unfair but I think it has always been that way.
-
I'm cool with this, I remember escaping before they were added so it can be done.
-
It would be good if the added this to KYF and had it so you could play other people's. There are some mad ######### out there that would make great maps.
-
......... What?
-
I don't mind being tunneled. I normally aim to get chased anyway so it helps. Just bring DS or borrowed time. Sometimes MOM can help if you can charge it first.
People who camp and tunnel are going to do it no matter what, if you get caught out just go to the next game.

I can get my shirtless David body pillow...yet no shirtless Jane body pillow. Blatant sexism at work here folk. It's just fine to consider a man a warm soft OBJECT to cuddle up with at night...women....we get *crickets*
@FSB75 I am down with that as long as I get a Nea one!

"I don't want a free escape, just a slightly better chance to motivate me."
Do 5 gens, find the hatch before killer, use stealth. Sounds like a pretty good chance as is.
@ba_tetsuo so just play as normal? I am more than capable of stealth play, that's easy. Getting keys is a bit more tricky and they are not readily available but that's fair enough.
It's not that big of a deal and I can just go run the killer for points if the doors are to close together. If I'm slugged then I will do something else for a few minutes.
-
Played killer before, it's not the worse thing in the world. I'd probably play another game though if there were no killers.

Never claimed everyone.
But you can't deny that there are at least a dozen threads about getting rid of EGC.
@Tsulan that's very true. It's always the case when something is introduced that is controversial.
I like the end game, it makes things pretty tense. There is just a lot of situations where if the doors spawn together and you have a fairly competent killer it's pretty hopeless. I don't want a free escape, just a slightly better chance to motivate me.
If they moved the doors to far apart this would be unfair on the killer as well so just a slightly larger minimum and smaller maximum distance would make me happy.
If the survivor can quit and the killer gets the points and sacrifice I can't see why it would be an issue.
-
@Tsulan said:
I just love it. (Sarcasm)
Survivors held the game hostage for 60+ minutes for the last 2 years = "git gud", "just equip whispers" or "if you don't like it, DC noob".
Killers "hold the game hostage" for 3-4 minutes = this is unbearable! We demand a concede button and want killers punished for slugging!
One thread/t after another.
Survivors get a glimpse of what killers had to endure and they don't like the taste of their own medicine. Not even a sip. They demand changes and what's even worse, they'll probably get the devs to change it to their favor. Just like always.
@Tsulan why would you just assume all survivors have that attitude? It would be like me saying all the killers do this with the end game. Its not a major issue I was just asking if it was possible.
-
@Dwight_Confusion said:
Nope. The EGC doesn't favor survivors too much. It's slightly killer sided. As it should be.
Deal with the changes. They are actually very good.
@Dwight_Confusion I never said it needs to be survivor sided? I am fine with everything but the whole reason it was created was due to people dragging stuff out. If you get the points if we just give up what is the issue?
-
@twistedmonkey said:
Only if awarded the full bbq, achievement goals and hook points as survivors can right now just stealth or hide in a locker and run it out giving the killer less BP, you don't want a quicker mechanic to allow the same.
@twistedmonkey if the player wants to drag it out then that's up to them. Hiding till they die is fair enough I just cba with it ๐
This is just a way that the killer gets points, can see the animation and the game just moves on.

@ClogWench said:
Frankly as long as they set a minimum and maximum distance between gates so that there's always at least a slim chance, I can't see this being necessary. Plus you know every bitter survivor is gonna hit Kill Self to deny the killer bloodpoints, emblem points and/or BBQ stacks
@ClogWench I would assume it would still count as a sacrifice and all that. I would be happy with a set distance as if they are to far apart its bad for the slower killers.
It will be really fun once it's fine tuned.
-
@ClogWench said:
Killers asked for this for years because of hopeless drawn out endgames. Wouldn't count on it happening.
Probably not but it doesn't hurt to ask. I like the EGC as it feels really tense but it does kinda suck when you know you are dead as soon as it starts.
-
What you said is pretty much what balance is. A lot of the confusion with balance comes from the way people use a certain mechanic or deal with it.
The whole reason the balance with this game is messed up is because people don't seem to adapt. They see something they don't like and avoid it. Or they just complain till it goes away.
-
I'm fine with being a free kill as long as it isn't dragged out. Just go to a hook and move on to the next game.
-
My favourite games are the ones where the killer is really good at sneaking up on you and jumpscaring.
It is terrifying when the killer messes with you before catching and killing you but you rarely see this anymore.

I want one for Claudette... Also, what would Dwight be a speedo?
This....
Not sure if I'm supposed to censor his nipples so I don't get banned.

Can you please not mention anything you would like added to the game, especially if it's positive.
But if they add one for Jane I want one for Nea.... And Dwight.
-
I was camped and my nipples fell off ๐
-
If anything this might help DBD. It will attract new players to the genre.
-
How was that a stand off? I don't get it?
-
If there isn't someone complaining and demanding a refund is it even a video game forum?

Indeed. Half a killers perk slots should be set aside and assigned to find hiding claudettes.
Great design A++
I mean I use it to find everyone, if you read the full comment you would have noticed that. It's a good set up in general.
-
@MystiKasT said:
A bit harder to see than the others? It's a world of difference.
I normally play Nea in bright obnoxious clothing and can easily hide from the killer in a lot of situations. The odd time I play killer I use stridor, whispers and my ears to find the good hiders.
-
The best way to deal with it is move erratically. Try to loop around objects as the hit box is really broken and can catch the smallest of boundrys.
And the ultimate advice when up against a hillbilly is don't go in corners!
-
@Seanzu said:
Open your eyes lmfao.
I've never known such nonesense as hearing people say Claudette is invisible, lol.
@SenzuDuck She is a bit harder to see than others but it is dramatic to say she is invisible ๐

Strategies...hmmm
Nightmare scenario: When you are the last survivor, all 5 gens have NOT been completed and you are solo and do not have a key or know the location of the hatch...Endgame timer starts, the hatch is closed.
As a solo survivor, one strategy I have found that has some success so far is to:
Hide near an exit gate and hope that the killer checks your gate first. immediately start opening the gate as soon as the killer sees your gate is not open and heads toward the other gate. Hopefully the killer does not have time to come back to your gate before you get it open. If the killer sees that the other gate is not lit and doubles back early, then you are most probably dead.
If you have a key and can follow the killer to note his position when endgame starts then you can deduce the hatch location and escape via the hatch.
The deck is stacked against survivors in this scenario and IMO the chances of survival are slim.
I tried this a few times and it's probably the most effective way. I think the only issue with EGC is it's just luck to survive at this point. The door spawning needs a bit of work to make it fair for both.
-
@Raptorrotas said:
Oh no, you and your potatoes failed the objectives and you're last? What to do?
- Rush to the hatch and jump in when last potato dies, ez win noob killer, right?
- Camp an exit gate while the killer is paranoidily looking for your free win button (hatch). Once he closes it you will be instantly be able to open it. If he checks the other door first, you got out ez, no stress.
Can you show me on the doll where the Claudette touched you?
-
I like and dislike them all. Needs to be more unique maps as I am pretty much used to the lay out of them all. Its become routine.
-

Good luck asking a refund for that. You'd literally only get it if BHVR decide to be extremely kind about it, they have no obligation to do so. No game has an obligation of refunding paid content that gets changed afterwards. That's not how these things work, and if you don't know that, maybe you shouldn't be spending money on games, or should ask for parental supervision.
Bets on how many kids get there parents to contact customer support over this ๐
-
I am not trying to troll you but you need paragraphs, this hurt my eyes
-
Both sides do stuff the other hates, That will never change.
I just wish they would buff the stealth killers. That's the only aspect I really enjoy when facing a killer.
-
I think it's fair, hatch has always been in favour of the survivor. I do disagree when people say it's a free escape as a lot of the time the last guy is the best of the survivors.
Only thing I would change is have the exit doors spawn further apart. Other than that I like it when it's activated.

The basement and the Pig got nerfed. The EGC does nothing unless survivors want to take the game hostage.
Pig nerfs were BS tbf, went to far but the EGC was created for that exact reason. You wanted survivors to stop taking the game hostage and now you can stop it.
-
@Weederick said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/461744#Comment_461744
The basement is not used to take survivors hostage. I would bet that falls under 0,1% of its uses.
EGC is just a killernerf.
How is EGC a killer nerf? It gives you control in a hatch situation that killers have wanted for so long.
-
I liked some of the changes but they did take it a bit to far
-
You can still tunnel the unhooked person. Just prevents holding people there for the 2 minutes.
-
It's just an unfixable problem like camping or trapping people in corners. You can't change the mechanics of it because it will cause more harm than good.
It is incredibly boring though and there is always the option to DC as long as you don't DC often.
-
Just start bringing toolboxes if you play SWF. If I get found first I can run them for a few gens and if they camp me (which is fairly often ๐) the last 3 can easily get out, most of the time they haven't even been in a chase yet.
Killer will 1k and hardly any bloodpoints. I see this as a win for me.
-
It's either time travel or the Entity has the world's best hair and make up team. Plus cloning.
-
It's just hard mode for survivor when running no perks has got boring. As soon as the killer realises you have it prepare to get tunneled to death as its a free kill this way.
