You are glossing over the part where your team still has to do gens, solo survivor is and never will be the power role. You physically cannot be a power role if you rely on other people to win.

The fact that the killer role gets more bp is because they're alone up against 4 other people.
With the new patch/meta shake up, they are pissed because they don't want to adjust to the meta.
In most prior patches the killer was pulling the short end of the stick and always needed to adjust to the new updates.
Did they wanted to do this?
No ofcourse not.
Were they told to?
Yup most definitely.
Did they do it?
Yes they had to.
So, no there is nothing wrong with killer getting more bp that the survivors.

🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sorry i just find this very funny and I'm not trying to be mean, toxic or condescending or anything.
But i always played solo ever from day 1.
And yes i know not everyone might have the same skill level, but survivor was for me a way to chill.
I could let the others do all the objectives and let the killer chase me without even being able to catch me and still escape.
Not saying i was never caught cause it does happen, but very very rarely did i die in a match.
I always challenged myself by running no mither.
Many people will say that is throwing the match as a solo q player, but is it really throwing the match if you escape with all gens done?
Trust me when i say that at the beginning it will be difficult, but eventually you will start to make better reads and decisions and your looping will increase.
So long story short, as a solo survivor it was always extremely easy for me.
And there is nothing wrong with having an opinion, but most of the player base disagrees with you. And, something being easy doesn't make it the power role. Someone had to carry you to get you through that exit gate, if you aren't contributing that doesn't make you the power role just because you can grief your team.

I KNOW RIGHT!?!?!? Last time I brought this up some overly biased Killer main was like "no skill checks are supposed to do that leave it how it is." No, just no. Skill Checks are not supposed to blow up a gen just because you were trying to get off of it, and one happened to appear right there and then. That's simply not fair and not the purpose of Skill Checks.
It needs fixed. A fix for this is long overdue.
If I saw a killer coming from 10 miles away, and I am cool as a cucumber, let me hit my skill checks game. For real.

Best build you can run on PH right now is Agitation, Pain Resonance, Im all ears, Corrupt

Because they're crybabies and want the changes reverted. The game is balanced now, and survivors have been the power role for 6 years. Of course some of them are gonna be pissed. That doesn't change the fact that the game is much more healthy now.
When you are a soloQ player who has never been in the power role. Alright dude, enjoy your queues, ill enjoy choosing which games I play out.

Can tell by the perks that he was a baby killer.....don't brag against rookies lol
While I agree he is probably a baby killer, every perk he is running is currently meta, just maybe not on doctor.
-
At most the killer should get one use out of the combo, because the scream is global everyone can hear it. I actually just won a game because a nemesis was relying on the scream for his 3 gen. I was able to finish the last gen because he checked it last, not realizing that I had been standing up every time he had hooked.

i swear man, the fact everybody says oh its cuz they nerfed dh or oh the killer got buffs they desereved. MOST OF THE DAMN SURVIVORS DONT CARE. seriously chases are slightly more deadly so what, still easy to loop and still fun. solo q is the problem with mmr. so many on this forum makes issues out to be what theyre not so they can avoid the real issues
People see what they want to see, what is important is what is tangible. Killer queues are a nightmare, because no one wants to play survivor.
-
Map offerings are strong because you can plan builds around it especially as a killer. I like the idea of being able to play a map you like and having it synergize with your builds, but this ends up being a free win a lot of times. I think map offerings shouldn't be guaranteed, it should be max 50% chance to prevent SWFs from stacking them.
-
I thought ratings just restricted who could buy media, not who could consume it in the states no?

I'm talking more about the people who don't understand they make noises in lockers or that crows and scratch marks exist. Because yes, figuring out your opponents' perks based off of their behavior and discerning the line between good guesswork and straight-up uncanny knowledge of survivor locations is totally a thing.
Yea I am just pointing out that this game has a pretty bad hacker problem, that's why accusations get thrown around a lot. In the week of the last patch I played against 4 that were undeniable, it is impossible to tell with subtle hackers though. And I bet you there are way more subtle hackers than blatant ones.
-
@Laluzi said:
Survivors who never play killer frequently accuse the killer of hacking because they have zero familiarity with what tools and context clues the killer can use to find them. I've seen that plenty.
Also had a killer once report me because apparently gens got done too quickly. He was chasing one dude for most of the game and didn't pressure them...
I don't know, the more I get familiar with the game, like the more it becomes muscle memory. The more I have been able to spot things that shouldn't be happening. It's to the point where I am like, if he doesn't have this "perk" he is definitely cheating.

Who's being silent? I've mentioned this at least twice.
They should rework BBQs old "hook a unique survivor" into a 500 point bonus score event, this would give you an easily attainable extra 2000 and maintain the incentive to spread hooks.
Survivors have the same issue with the Survival category. Which could similarly be rectified by replicating WGLF's old bonus as a 500 point score event.
I don't have a problem with a perk that gives blood points, but that is all it should do. The problem I had with BBQ is that not only is it a meta perk on its own, it was the most economically correct perk to run. I hope that if they go down a road with blood point perks, they give no tactile advantage, because they end up becoming perks you "should" run.
-
Hatch should spawn if everyone is slugged and no one has a way to stand back up, outside of that, no.
-
That's pretty funny considering the amount of actual paid actors you could point out scrolling through the chat.
-
Queue incentives in the next patch will help, but I suspect people will still be hesitant to play survivor until some substantial solo queue buffs show up.
-
The one good thing about long ques is killers have been dodging a lot less lately xD
-
I use to notice, and then I swapped to killer recently, I no longer notice.
-
This would allow SWFs to stack chase perks on 1-2 survivors and Gen perks on the rest.
On top of people getting angry at weak survivors for using all the tokens.
-
It has never been more important to take note of where basement is in every game, and make sure you never go down near it. If you get downed near basement in end game, you can essentially just let yourself die. Unless someone is running actual BT, you can't get out.

I had a game once were I was doing a meme build with both: Flashbangs and Blastmines, coupled with Haddies now "blind the killer" perk.
I got that poor Trickster 3 times with a Blastmine and 2 times with a Flashbangs. I know this, because I got 5 ticks on my "blind the killer 10 times" tome challenge that game.
My favorite build is Blast Mine, Flash Bang, Head on, Quick and Quiet. My goal every game is to blind and stun the killer as many times as possible. I think the most I ever got was a game against wraith, 5 head ons, 3 blast mines, 2 or 3 flash bangs. The most blast mines I have had in a game is 4, it was against a nemesis with PR and Pop before the patch.
-
Fun is subjective. I played a game today where I had 2 afk survivor teammates but I managed to flash bang the killer four times, two were flashbang saves. I died, but I had a ball doing it.
-
The developers don't see the que incentive as a replacement for BBQ/WGLF or part of the reduced grind. The incentive is simply in the game to reduce que times.

Stayed like that the entire round. I usually sit at around 54ms, and have other players hovering around the same.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3109394#Comment_3109394
I suspected VPN, although I'm not sure why any killer would want to play against Australian survivors.
From what I have been told by some killers who use VPNs, they do it because if they don't they just sit in que forever.
-
Pretty sure this has more to do with people using VPNs to play on another server than a bug with the game. You can also see ping in lobbies, I check every time and don't play over 70 ping.

Thana went from being broken on Legion and Plague, and meh on everyone else. To meh on legion and plague, and useless on everyone else.
-
DCs were pretty bad for a day or two after the patch. They have leveled out quite a bit, there's the possibility I have gotten out of the MMR where people DC. Caused a couple of killers to DC 3-4 since patch. Probably about 10-15 DCs from the survivor side since patch.

I don't know who the Nurse was, but this is probably the first time they encountered good matchmaking in the entire streak if it was an actual comp Nurse. And it was a 3 out. In what universe does this prove Nurse has no counterplay? DbD matchmaking is awful and places little to no space between the top-middle-bottom skill levels. This is a recording.
This is called bait. A random nurse lost to a competitive team.
-
I have played against two terminator bots in the past 2 days. I have also been playing a lot of killer and I swear subtle hackers have gone up a ton too. Played against a survivor last night that won 100% of about 25 mind games, was changing directions on building walls without any vision of me perfectly. Was running around rocks losing chase he was running so fast.
-
There was nothing wrong with the perk for 95% of the killers in the game. They literally just needed to make it not work with legion and plague's M2.
-
I feel like you have two roads to go down right now to significantly slow the game down as a killer. You can either run lethal with an aura build or run corrupt intervention. Before this patch I pretty much just always ran corrupt, but with lethal buffed it feels like you have more options.
Lethal is great on killers who have built in aura reading or can make use of BBQ.
Corrupt is great for slow killers who have a hard time moving around the map.
I wish there were more perks for early game to give you time to find people, or a killer who struggles to get setup has more time to do so.

How is that an issue......? That's literally the point of DMS.
I don't think you fully absorbed what I said, before they took away the notification on PR there was almost no counter-play to the combo. Now there is.
-
Pain Resonance and Dead Mans was an issue because even when you were aware of it and how to counter it, the killer could still force you off the gen. Now you just need to stand up before the hook and you are good, only good killers will know which gen you are on.
-
It needed a change but really only for legion and plague, the change they made killed it for everyone but those two killers. It is at least manageable on those two now for survivors, but it is no longer viable on any other killer.
-
Hope she is bad and don't 3 gen yourself, it is important that you are able to do gens far enough away from each other that she can't just puke on all 3 and keep you all injured.
Prove thyself is pretty big against thana legion/plague. I have also noticed a lot more people running tool boxes. I actually went against a 4 man SWF running brand new parts last night, first time I have seen that since the old haddonfield.

Ok i see where i can fit well make it in then should i replace botany with that?
I would recommend running a built like Windows of Opportunity, Off the Record, We'll Make it, (Exhaustion Perk). You will find yourself living long enough to heal and unhook other people, to get your altruism points up.
-
Most of your altruism points will come from unhooks rather than healing people, if the game isn't against a killer like legion.
If I would recommend one good healing perk that can really throw off a killers momentum. It's We'll Make It, outside of that perk, there isn't really a reason to go for a healing build. Empathy is good if you really want to seek people out to heal them, but you don't really need extra healing speed on top of that.
-
I have been getting a ton of legions. Outside of that, a healthy mix of random killers.

Because even when you do, you die about 10 seconds after. Honestly DS should be active for both hook states now (outside of endgame).

The really good thing about DS was it worked whether you equipped it or not.
Ironically now that its been nerfed it actually works because people actually pick you up lol.
Exactly, if DS was actually a good perk, why are killers disrespecting it now?
-
There are better perks to run over DS now, 5 seconds would make it competitive, but even then I don't know if I would run it. The fact it is 3 seconds, definitely makes it a no brainer.
-
Sprint burst is nearing self care territory when it comes to it almost being a killer perk. If you nerf it, you are just making it another self care.

They promised to buff anti camping /tunnel.
And they did.
So i am really confused about why are you complaining and said "they deleted every tool survivors had "
And because the only perk nerf is dh,so i guess you are mad at dh nerf ,am i wrong?
Yeah I kind of figured you were just a "DH got nerfed get over it" andy. You don't even know why you can't run DH anymore to avoid tunneling. They promised a buff that never showed up in reality, which you would know that if you actually played survivor.

I think the comparision would be between DH/BT/DS and SB/OTR/DS or even DH/OTR/DS
Comparing DH to OTR seems pointless. If anything we should probably compare OTR to BT
I think you should be taking into account what allowed people to avoid being killed in 30 seconds. Right now you have a fraction of what you had last patch.
@mustdogen said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3105653#Comment_3105653
So you are not complaining about the camp or tunnel itself.
You are complaining about dh nerfing.
You are mad about the fact that you can't loop a killer without DH.
Then that's another topic.
I am complaining that we were promised anti-camping/tunneling baseline. Instead we got a measly baseline BT that can be countered with some average body blocking. And then with one fail swoop they deleted every tool survivors had to avoid tunneling. The funny part is you are trying to "get me" with the dead hard nerf. But, I bet you can't even tell me what makes the current dead hard worse than the old one. What the actual nail in the coffin was to it being useful in tunneling right now.
-
@Dead_Harder said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3105637#Comment_3105637
Is it harder or easier to tunnel if you equip both OTR and DS? It feels like it should be harder.
If you think the current OTR and DS are better than last patches DH/DS you just haven't been playing survivor. Not to mention you have nothing in end game, you are essentially dead if you are the last person chased.
@mustdogen said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3105637#Comment_3105637
They literally nerf tunnel and camp in this patch.
Have you even read the patch note before you make a post to complain?
Not only have I read the patch notes, I got grade 1, 4 days after the patch as survivor. Killers camp less, but they tunnel about the same, and they do it much faster.
-
@mustdogen said:
They buff Bt, rework a new op NT tunnel perk, make an in game bt and speed boost.
Why you stillcomplaing?
Because in the same vein they nerfed the tools that actual allowed you to avoid tunneling. The game got easier to tunnel and camp, there is no arguing otherwise.
-
What will increasing the DC timer do when people can just leave the game on first hook? I think we can accept that people will DC no matter what you do, there is little you can do to stop players from giving up. Addressing some of the outliers that are making playing survivor less fun would go much further than just increasing DC penalties.
Increase the survivor experience by giving SoloQ players some form of communication and information.
Rather than punishing killers for camping and tunneling, studies in psychology show that incentives work much better than punishments. Give killers a reason to go for each unique survivor in the game, rather than trying to make it increasingly more difficult to get one person out of the game.
Perks should be looked at from each killers perspective, what I mean by this is that each perk should be adjusted to make sure it doesn't make that killer OP. Starstruck on nurse is extremely oppressive, but on most other killers it is a relatively balanced perk. If you were to nerf the perk globally to make it fair for nurse, it would likely see no play ever again. But, if you simply tweak it for nurse the perk will remain fair for all killers. I see similar issues with thana on plague and legion, while the perk is fair on just about every other killer it remains oppressive for the aforementioned killers.
Some might also say that save the best for last is also something that should be tweaked for each killer (like demo or pig). While there is a decent argument for this, I think STBFL is just tuned too high right now baseline, and I think the perk should lose at least 10% action speed.
I think the last patch contained a lot of good nuggets to put the game in a better spot but it fell short on a lot of things it tried to deliver. And by trying to buff kill rates without also buffing soloQ survivors who were already the most worse off player, it ended up sending a lot of people over the deep end.

well you can't tell anymore. the easy way to figure out if you were at high MMR was dead hard. if more 4/4 have it, your likely at high MMR since having 80% of your matches with 4/4 dead hard's matches the 75% pick-rate of dead hard that dev showed.
now there no real way to tell until new perk meta is formed. that was good thing about dead hard, it told you if you were facing push-overs or good players. now they weakened dh so no way to find out. maybe if new meta forms like everyone running off the record, than we might be able to figure out again.
but yes facecamping is huge problem. no perks really counter it and only thing survivors can do to mitigate its effectiveness is rush generators and get two people out vs certain killers.
The new meta perks are Off the record, Prove Thyself, Sprint Burst/Lithe/DH, Windows, DS, Unbreakable, CoH. I probably missed a few, but if your lobby is full of OTR and Prove you are at high MMR.

"I am literally over the MMR cap on both sides"
Don't claim things that you cannot prove.
Do you see your MMR score on screen?
As far as I'm aware, MMR score is still hidden by bhvr.
So for all i know you might be low MMR and just having trouble with the game, which makes you think you are high MMR.
Maybe you think you're high MMR but you just face competent survivors who do know what they do but are not even in high MMR.
Sure maybe you are high MMR who knows.
What I'm saying is, you can't back this claim up because it's an hidden score.
So every can say they are the top of the MMR scale, because no one can see the scores
There one very easy trick to see if you are at the MMR cap, every single game you play, every single person runs meter perks in every slot. It isn't hard to tell, you definitely can. Before the patch I was at 4 dead hard MMR on my huntress, and I have only 4kd several games since then, there is no way my huntress isn't over the cap.
