Since crossplay started there is a big disparity in being able to judge where a killer even is. Hit validation fix is needed for this reason and all of the ones listed here.
Crossplay added more stress on the servers.

Its very rare everyone in one of my games is from the same country, had a game earlier today where every single person was from a different country actually, do you really think most people use VPNs while playing this game?
It's extremely easy to VPN as a killer, almost every Anti-Virus software has it available. VPN has become popularly hated among streamers, so word catches on and more people start using it.
As a survivor, it's suicidal.

First things first, when you get an unfair hit as a survivor, this doesn't mean that the killer is automatically using a VPN.
This just means that the killer has a slow connection, which can be due to using a VPN, that's right, but that's not the only way of getting a slow connection.
They may be using WiFi, and they may be a little bit far away from their router. This also slows down their connection, which can be seen as "hacking".
In my opinion, people reporting these type of killers are just wasting their time, because you can't prove that the killer is using a VPN or not that easily. Only people at the technical department could do, checking at their public IPs and comparing them with known VPN server's IPs to see if they match or not. To do this, they must track data packages also, is not that easy. It can be done, definitely, but not easily.
Finally, I think that is not a big deal, because in the killer's end is not an instant win. When you have a slow connection as a killer you can't barely move sometimes, and to get unfair hits, the survivor needs to be really close. And to get close to the survivor, first you have to be able to freely move. Which is hard when you have a really slow connection.
Click on the Steam.
If their Steam says a different country AND their comment section has a couple of people using the country of Origin as well then you might have something.
I haven't reported these people, but I will try to get a response from a Mod.

They won't prioritize it? Please don't insult others about matters you know nothing about. Setting up something like that is extremely difficult to get done correctly, because if it is off by even just a fraction of a second it can utterly ruin a Killer's ability to even play the game. This is absolutely something they need to take their time with because it effects the core aspect of playing killer. I for one am glad they are taking their time with it.
I can smell your Virtual Private Network from a country away.

No joke, I haven't been able to use my Dead Hard ONCE on the PTB because I get Exhausted on the Floor.
I'm so tired of this.

I'm confused. i thought tunneling was focusing a single survivor until he is dead, but i keep being told im a tunneler for hitting the survivor who was unhooked, even after downing the guy who rescued him (no camping, but rather people waiting near the hook)
So i have to ignore the guy who was unhooked entirely?
You don't have to ignore him, but don't complain when they use BT and DS against you.

that's true it the only time they do totems there need to be a perk to hidden hex totems make them look like null then I wonder how that would go..🤣
BHVR is already known to not give a flying ######### about totem locations and spawns which is why they keep making these perks to make up for their lack of understanding.
"Oh? Survivor spawns next to a lit totem? Let's make a Hex that MOVES THE ######### TOTEM SOMEWHERE ELSE!"
Instead of actually fixing totem locations.
-
I don't want them to touch any of the Silent Hill characters...they don't look like their PS1 models.
How does a PS1 game have better models than a 2016-2020 game, I don't understand.

@NekoGamerX said:
wouldn't this make NOED more op?
That's only IF Undying is kept until end game.
No survivor ignores a lit totem.

This is direct reponse to the NOED complaints. Now it'll further force survivors to cleanse.

This game is absolutely loaded with BS that's not fun or fair. Uncounterable DS at the end of a game near the exit gates, healing to block you from picking someone up near the exit gates, BT/soul guard nonsense also near the end of the game. 4-man SWF with OoO is a lotta fun to go against. I don't camp or tunnel because I think those things are ######### and make the game worse for everyone. I also think that applies to many meta perks and add-ons on both sides. The fact that we all have this common rulebook of what's "fine" and what's not is absurd when the developers have the capability to fix things properly. Of course, as is often the case, we see where the very quick "fixes" end up.
Well, you can argue against it but the devs have made it abundantly clear what is acceptable and what isn't.

Ah, I didn't know that. The anti-BT/DS tech. I can see why it would instantly get nerfed into the ground. Can't have anyone beating the meta!
Yeah, because getting tunneled deliberately after being caged knowing damn well the survivor doesn't have BT or DS was fun and fair.
-
Um...
Clown is beefy and THICC.

I've been playing with my console friends.
I finally have my SWF team back after leaving them for PC.
If you don't like PC against console or console against PC, opt out.
Simple.

No. That's not countering the fact that the person is free to do whatever they want for 60 seconds. It's ignoring it.
I'm very sorry that you need DS as a crutch so badly, but geez, you're making it really obvious.
Of course they're free to do whatever they want, what about the other 3 people you're not paying attention to?
What are THEY doing? Why is your concern this one person? Why aren't you chasing ANYONE ELSE?

Okay touche.
Maybe Sole Survivor is secretly OP, next to Wake Up! and Boil Over, you never know :D
Don't give them ideas about the usage of those perks because they'll want Wake Up deactivated if you 99% the doors.
Or they'll want Boil Over deactivated if you pair it with Flip Flop.
-
Because your choir boy complaints on the forums about a perk that already has multiple counters to isn't a good waste of their time.
And it's Saturday and Sunday, their days off.

Literally, without exaggeration.

@Manky said:
I think Scott Jund almost nailed it. His idea was DS last for 30 seconds after being unhooked. If you are in a chase then the timer does not go down, it could last all game as long as you are always in a chase. If you touch a gen, get in a locker, touch a totem, heal a teammate or any action like that at all, DS deactivates. However, since this would make DS an anti tunneling perk only, I think a longer stun time or even better, a speed boost for the survivor during that stun time, would make DS better. This way the perk can't be used offensively. It only works if that survivor is being genuinely tunneled otherwise it will have deactivated, and it gives the survivor the time and/or speed to get away. Mix this with quick and quiet or dance with me or a similar perk and the survivor is saved from the tunnel with no way for the perk to be abused. If anyone can find a flaw in this, let me know cus I would like to see it. This seems like the perfect way for DS to work.
Yeah, except all the killer has to do is look DOWN and it'll cut the chase or moonwalk to the survivor for 30 seconds down the survivor and you get your free tunnel.
-
And the DS threads are back.
Great.
-
Meh, it'll probably be another D-List killer with F-List Perks.
Honestly, nothing can get me hyped. =/
-
Is this even English?
-
-
Then just opt out.
Jesus Christ, I've been having a blast and I've been playing WITH my console friends as a PC survivor.
Don't like it, opt out. It's lessen queue times as well.
-
Huntress for me. I never thought I'd be decent with her.
-
lol funny, there are threads that also state
"PC players aren't that good."
Hilarious.
-
Because PS4 survivors were experiencing high wait times before the implementation. PC killers as well.
Cross play was the obvious solution to this.
-
It's not an excuse when many, many, MANY killers are known to use VPN.
I've looked up Steam profiles after the match and they're from China, Finland, Germany, Brazil, Russia.
Their comments are the same language as their origin as well so I know it's not an American posing as someone from that country.
It's bullshit and server validation hits should be here already.

Huh...
What's the point then of even having a "Friend Code" in game then? I would think the entire point of having a specific friend code for you is...well...it's specific to you :D
Yeah, except it's not.
My friends couldn't find me at all with that friend code, they had to punch in my exact Steam Profile name to find, there's no point to the friend code.
It makes 0 sense.
-
@tippy2k2 said:
There is also an "Add a Friend" that is in-game. It gives you a unique 4 digit ID that you can use to add one another
That "unique" code, isn't unique to YOU. That's what made it difficult, and because of that code, no one could find me for a while.

Nurse offers too much risk, high reward.
Freddy offers high reward, little risk.
Doctor offers high reward, little risk.
Spirit offers high reward, little risk.
Billy offers high risk, high reward.

I see no DS in there, so they shouldn't be bitching about tunneling.
Not pointing fingers, but disregard their tunneling comments. Imagine bitching about getting tunneled and not using the perk to prevent it.
That's on them buddy.

I played this morning on my PS4.
Let's say from a Rank 1 Spirit I was Rank 20 and my Meg was Rank 20 as well. I haven't played in months on PS4 since I switched to PC.
It was pretty fun, but I'm not going to spend my time and test cross play to Red Ranks so I'll stick to PC. It's smoother.
-
I've never heard survivors talking about killers, so please, put your massively small pp away.
PC killers were saying that about console survivors.
-
lol BHVR patching in service to killers?
No.
-
I'm a Rank 9 survivor going against Red Rank killers with Red Rank survivors and escaping.
I don't know about MMR, but it's keeping me in this range for some reason.
As a survivor, rare do I get a PC player alongside me, and as a killer I get nothing but PC players. Full lobbies of PC players.

@CrowFoxy said:
PC players all get to have a unique username, regardless of whether or not someone else has that username. So as @BigBrainMegMain said, you can use that other than the globe.
For example, my steam name is "Raven" and on console, that name was probably taken forever ago.
Yeah, Raven was probably taken in the first day of PS3's Username Initiation lol
-
Their name.
PC gamers use unique names, but console players...you can tell who's a console player by their name alone.
PC players use spaces in their names as well, console players use X or Numbers in theirs.

10 times? You might need to go back to first grade, bud. That's less than five times, so you're really exaggerating. It's still a big performance increase, of course, but people should be demanding that be fixed, not a matchmaking bandaid. Bad FPS will follow you into every single match forever, matching against PC players will likely rarely result in you noticing any sort of difference at all.
Well, given that the FPS also drops in game to let's say 15 or even 13 it can still be 10 times.
Indoor maps, FPS has the potential to drop to 10-15. On PC, I'm a firm 120, but indoor maps drops it to 60-90 FPS.

We want crossplay, just not with a platform that has double the FPS and better controls. Most (not all) console players feel the same, where Xbox, PS4 and Switch have the same issues, where no one platform has an advantage over the others. Thanks for your suggestion though 😊
Double FPS lol
DBD on Console runs at 25 FPS.
I run at 120 on PC, that's almost 10 times the FPS.

While it doesn't mean it's right - I am actually right. I provided logic and reasoning. You basically said "nuh uh!".
In any case, I don't expect DS to "go anywhere" anytime soon. I never once asked for it to go (don't put words in my mouth - you're already terrible at debating, don't make it worse). I said it needs to be conditional - and eventually, it will be.

If it was hand picked then DS, BBQ, etc would never appear, however both DS and BBQ have appeared in the Shrine before but due to us having over 100 perks now it would be really REALLY hard to get those in the shrine
If DS and BBQ never appear people would be so pissed. Look at Twitter, imagine week after week after month if BBQ and DS don't appear.
They're extremely rare, and hand picked.

I notice you, as per the norm, failed to address the entirety of my post and instead cherry picked things convenient for you. Typical DS reliant survivor.
But, to humor you:
Funny because Pop has a 60 second CD and so does DS.
Pop is earned. DS is not. You didn't earn anything by getting caught and getting unhooked.
Invincibility? How so? Can't you slug?
As I said, unbreakable exists. You can't "just slug". There's literally a counter to the killers counter, therefore the killers "counter" isn't really a counter at all. Even more, what happens when they have DS, and get unhooked when the door opened during EGC? Did they "earn" that escape? Is there a counter to that? No on both accounts. Be less one sided. I want DS to be anti tunnel, not free invincibility. I would have ZERO issues if it functioned as anti tunnel and had conditions on it to make it so if you parade yourself in the killers face or do anything to progress the game, it was disabled.
Can't you go for someone else? Why are you bitching about ONE survivor out of 4?
It's not about going for someone else. Anyone who plays a lot of killers KNOWS they get hit with DS when the killer isn't even tunneling. Do you know how often I have hooked 1 person, kicked their gen that was about 70-80% complete, went and hooked someone else, came back to the original generator I kicked just to get DS'd and have the gen done in my face? I guess *i WaS TuNnElInG!!11!!".
You don't have a valid opinion with your texas sized bias.
You're entitled to your opinion. Doesn't mean it's right.
The perk is staying, and that's that.
Remember that when you get DS'ed, remember my Texas Sized Bias every time you get hit with DS.
And I'm a Rank 1, 5k hour Killer main.

If true then that's downright depressing, because that means the devs are purposefully seeing to it that you grind as much as possible to get to the perks that you want.
Grinding means you play more.
The week before DS was about to get nerfed, it appeared in the Shrine. Not a coincidence.
We have Ace and Dwight in the Shrine and they're both part of the Tome.
Spirit Fury and Enduring were both in the Shrine at once several months ago.
Too many coincidences has led me to believe they're hand picked.
