I hope you aren't really this immature, this game has an MA rating so hopefully you're old enough to have empathy for others. Most people play this game to have fun and aren't interested in some sad killer player taking the game way too seriously and doing whatever it takes to win. It's pathetic, if that's what you have to do to win you're just not very good at this game, sorry.
You use the word inmature and in the second sentence you talk about "sad killer player taking the game way too seriously"... xD Sry but I cant take you sirious. Well I guess you dont play killer so there is no point to discuss about that.
-
Dont really know what you mean, never really saw that xD Noob3 for example is just meming when he said that. And if someone is ashamed then they might want to work on their character.
Reminds me on the old days, when Animes and Mangas where a nishe thing and old times weebs where actually scared to admit that they watch or read them. Was also stupid imo.

So would you call yourself a compleationist?
Well I dont know honestly, I had over 4k hours in Dbd but I have like 60% of the achievments, I dont care about them and never really do them.

All the entitled killers in this thread and the OP make me sad. There are two problems with this game, one is survivors that bully killers, the other is killers that single out and bully one survivor because their precious ego can't handle losing at a completely unbalanced video game. Grow up.
How is killing an avatar in a game of a player is bullying? Thats what I am wondering.

I wasn't trying to make a drama out of It I was just asking a question and sharing my opinion on it
If you want to grind out and prestige then that's your choice but personally I think its pointless and doesn't have any real use for anything.
Aight sry didnt wanted to put any words in your mouth.
Well you know I am for example someone whos obsessed with "having everything". So thats why I prestiged every Killer on 3 to max level. I barely use the skins, its just the satisfaction to know that I got them and that made me happy.
-
I am sadly someone who learnes very quick and figure out the basics very fast so I never really have the joy of discovering the game steb by steb. Thats why I personaly love watching noobs playing dbd, also its just cool giving them slowly tips so they can improve, love seeing ppl improve. My best friend for example was a mediocare survivor and now he is a 7k hours tryhard. xD

@dspaceman20 said:
I don't see the point of prestiging and getting a p3 survivor and the reward you get for doing it has to big of a cost. The game is already such a grind so why would anyone l want to start over and do it again? I would have to get all the perks I worked so hard to have back again. Also I have event items and offering so if i prestige I lose them forever and I have to wait until the next event which could be a different item. And your reward for sacrifice all of that? Just blooded clothing.
So if the grind makes it too much of a chore to do and the reward you get don't justify the sacrifice you made and the hard work you did ,whats the point of prestiging your character?
Also while we're at it whats the point of the player level other then to give shards? And deviotion level? Do they actually do or contribute to things?
How many more pointless things are in the game?
Thats the point of prestiging dude... its not a necessity. Its just for showing off. If you are willing to do the extra work then go for it, if you dont want to then dont do it. Dont really see why you make such a drama out of that.

...Most YouTubers do 50 wins in a row with No perks. Saw Yesterday someone with fastkicking wraith who got 2 times a 4k.
A 4k doesnt has to mean that you are good. There are alot of different factors that lead you to winning in dbd.
-
Without shitting to much onto BHVR but its sad to see how much success and attention they have gotten with that low effort and talent with just a unique concept. Compared to devs like 7 days to die, they are developing a open world survival zombie crafting game, nothing that new and unique but managed to update and develope that game so nice that it has become a great and wonderful game nowdays. They also made it far and reached some good amount of hype and attention but not as much as Dbd did by far, but they still put all their efforts into updates and new content into the game that it just is sad that the payoff isnt that big.
The devs should really rethink their motivations and goals, it doesnt seem that they put enough effort into their product... keep in mind guys that they are working on a new game meanwhile... after that disaster with Death Garden.

But what are they supposed to do?
They can't put sometthing like a cooldown on it because it would mess with gameplay (e.g trying to stealth around, trying to dodge huntress hatchets at low wall loops etc.)
Slow down the animation so it doesnt look that funny or hilerious anymore. Doesnt need to be that slow, just a little bit.

To everyone saying that she does have counterplay get in contact with @ScottJund because as far as I know his offer of paying you to show him the counters to spirit still stands
Imagine you have 1 not dropped Pallet and the Spirit Phasewalks in that moment. What are the possibilities to do as a survivor? You have 12 in total. You are able to do 12 different moves and the Spirit now has to guess which 1 of these 12 things you are gonna do. You can drop the pallet and just keep running like nothing happened, you can drop the pallet reverse and run backwards, although these are very cummon strats so these wont really work so I dont recommend them. You can drop the pallet and slow vault back, you can drop it and fast vault back. You can drop it and run left or to the right, you can reverse drop it and just stand still, you can leave the pallet and just stay inside and wait what she does.... hell I think there are even more then 12 possibilities.
Now tell me, do you consider this as "no" counterplay. The spirit has a situation in this where she has to guess 1 of these outcomes.

Ah ok. Its just like that especially his fanbase tends to agree blindly to whatever he says.
There are a lot of other Content Creators (even Killer Mains) who say that she is not ok. And there is really a lack of information what she is doing, while she gets all the information. Like, she does not even move grass, despite walking through it.
The last game where I really struggled as Spirit (but to be fair, I dont play her often, since I dont have fun while playing her), was against 4 Iron Wills and I am not using Stridor. And I still got a 2K out of it, meaning with Stridor, it would have probably been a 4K and those 4 guys wasted a Perk Slot. Let alone that I dont use PGTW or Ruin/Undying. And I am not really good at Killer IMO.
So when even I get a 2K despite the Survivors having the optimal Setup against me (all have Iron Will while I dont have Stridor), you can imagine what someone who is a little bit more skilled than me and/or is using Stridor can do.
But like I said in my first comment, I am pretty sure that she will get nerfed in the future, but I also think that BHVR fears the backlash from Killer Mains since those are always the loudest when something on their side is nerfed (even if it is only slighly, like with the first Spirit Nerf where she only lost the most obvious stuff in her Basekit and her most ridiculous Add Ons).
Ye I get ya. Dont worry, I dont follow opinions based on others, I always built my own. I agree with you that there are some things like the grass that doesnt make sense. But in the other hand, if you play smart as survivor, you will be able to fake the spirit very efficiant. When I used to play, I mained spirit since she came out and I saw 95% of the survivors doing the basic stuff in chase. When I phasewalk, they just run to the opposite direction. Also they just throw down the pallet on their side and try to run backwards. These are just some examples of what obvious "jukes" most of the players do.
As I said, I do agree that Spirit is indeed a strong Killer and can go crazy, but this doesnt mean she has no counterplay. Something can be strong and has counterplay. These are 2 seperate things. About your game with the 4 Iron will's though, first to say, feels bad man, I feel that pain xD. Secondly you also might got 2 Kills cuz they messed up, I play without Iron Will and still manage to juke alot of Spirit's. Obviously its also a part of their mistakes not catching me, but thats the trick. Lead the Killers into mistakes, the person who plays that character is a Human, not a robot, so you can abuse that by fooling that person around to lead him into more mistakes.
I feel I explained that abit weird but I hope you might get what I mean.

Meanwhlle: "Also Tru3talent made once a whole video..."
Ugh.
I didnt said I agree with his view, I wanted to give some options for ppl where they might look up what they need to know about that topic.
*Edit: Trying to list examples of counterplay would be too confusing without footage
-
To everyone who thinks that Spirit is broken or think that she has no counterplay. There are verious guides on youtube that explain her weaknesses. Also Tru3talent made once a whole video about that topic long ago and explained very well why Spirit is NOT op or broken and that you have more counterplay against her than most of the Killers offer against her.
Pls dont just blindly agree to everything you see and just call it unbalanced. Maybe think ahead and try to understand the other side (the killer's view) and apply your gameplay and skill to that. If you know how Spirit works, you will be able to loop her very long, I have done that in my case always.
I am not saying that Spirit is not a strong Killer, she is actually indead a powerfull Killer. But she definatly offers a wide range of counterplay and she has almost the same chances in the Phasewalk than you have as a survivor. If you dont pay attention to that, then it is your fault, not the Killers balancing.

In that case I'd rather go for the person that unhooked instead of tunneling. This way you don't have to worry about BT or DS, you are not tunneling and still get a chase with a survivor, who honestly deserved it for farming others off the hook.
Agree and that is the smarter way to play Killer. Its always smarter to go on the saviour instead of the saved. Unless 1 thing, when the BT guy bodyblocks the hell out of you, that doesnt happen often though but if that happens in that case you just tunnel him then, cuz I mean... well he is offering himself to you for a free slug ;)

Doctor Edward Richtoften (Ultimis) as survivor and Samantha as Killer.

Would love ot see that since I am a old time zombie fan since black ops 1. I even think that would also fit, maybe including npc zombies in the power of Samantha somehow since she can control them.

ruin wasn't gaining steam, corrupt replaced ruin, and some people still used ruin. It doesn't seem you have much experience in the game to understand why old ruin was so good and corrupt is so good, it's the fact that they give the killer map pressure at the start of the match when the killer has no map pressure. Getting survivors off of gens and running around is the best way to get the first survivor hooked and to start the cycle of always keeping 2-3 survivors off gens. Old ruin got people off gens and cleansing totems. New ruin rewards staying on a gen instead of leaving it, making new ruin much more weaker, given the context of why ruin was used in the first place, to help secure that very important first hook and start the snowball of the game. Now it's a slowdown perk and must be paired with a patrol-heavy strategy to get the full value of it. This is why corrupt largely replaced ruin.
No one talked about nerfing billy's power. People are not going to argue for more static and boring gameplay, they will argue for more complex and dynamic gameplay. The major issues with your argument here is that people like back revving / curving with billy and the fact that there was such an outcry after his nerf because no one wanted his power touched. People just wanted insta saw gone. I would like you to prove what you said with some kind of evidence, because no one was saying anything about his power, only his addons. The devs even made a post alluding to this, that they would like to see killers have to strategically use their powers not just spam them when they changed billy's power.
When I say community, I'm bringing up a consensus of people who are willing to share their views, including good players. Your personal opinion doesn't matter too much in this regard, because I'm taking the opinions of many people and weighing them, especially people who have spent thousands of hours on the game.
The simplest fix to maps is to actually write a good algorithm for determining a tile's strength and realize that adjacent tiles also contribute to a tile's strength. One of the strongest tile combinations in the game is to have a jungle gym window facing a junk pallet tile, and this happens very frequently. A lot of times this junk pallet will lead to another fairly strong safe pallet. 3 good tiles in a row is enough to single handedly win the game for the survivors, as the time wasted negotiating them gives survivors enough extra time to do gens and escape before the killer can hook them 3 times each.
Very well explained! I agree with you there and would also like to add that old Ruin also offered the strategy to play abit "protective" with that totem. That means that you know that survivors will try to destroy it more likely like the new Ruin. You would find often survivors in the early game at the totem or maybe find them later there for a free hit even. I am not saying that new Ruin will not get destroyed but I see more often survivors just pushing through the gens instead of trying to find it. Swf is obviously a different topic. Corrupt is kinda the replacement for ruin but sadly does not effectivly slow down the game, just a very very little bit, but its that small that it is barely noticable. Corrupt is more used to force survivors to run around, that makes it easier to find them in the early game.

Why does everyone assume I just bought the game yesterday?
Old Ruin punished non-swf and people who couldn't hit great skill checks every time all the time. It was a pub stomper and nothing more. Swf broke it within seconds (then killer dc's lmao) and for everyone else it meant that you hated the person next to you because one slip up (which was every skillcheck) and the gen would stop dead.
Combined with perks that screwed up skillchecks, it was either break the totem or die. That wasn't an early game perk, it was a win easy perk.
Good players. And how was that consensus achieved? Do they go "I main THIS character" and then it's the word of god? Unless they're mouthbreathing streamers, everyone that says that must be taken with a grain of salt. And you don't need to be very good to use the top tier killers. That's part of the issue.
You like things dynamic and not static? How is using the same perk and killer for every game dynamic? The gameplay loop is always going to come down to chasing so why is doing that with less than favorable conditions so repulsive? People don't want a game, they just want to win with no conditions. Hollow victories.
Billy was absolutely a walking hollow victory. A single down was always another hook trade waiting to happen. Didn't matter your status or angle of attack. He accelerated faster than you could respond, and he had the advantage of never not having his power at all times and always had it on demand. The severe drop in his usage only reveals how inflexible his fanbase were. And even more poignant how much of an issue every other part of the game is if they need that much firepower to win.
On the main topic: I think the game needs more systems refined, and more nuance to already existing systems. I've poked the cow on several occasions but no one wants to seem to budge.
But for their decisions thus far on approaching killer balancing, I do indeed think they're going in the right direction.
That said, survivors have gradually been getting nerfs themselves albeit at a much slower pace. And they absolutely deserve more. Like reverse bloodlust or something. Survivors get slower the longer they're in a chase. And gen tapping is still an annoying advantage.
"A single down was always another hook trade waiting to happen. Didn't matter your status or angle of attack. He accelerated faster than you could respond, and he had the advantage of never not having his power at all times and always had it on demand."
I am not sure if you maybe just wrote that different how you meant that or you never really played billy, but if you would played that Killer just enough then you would definatly never say something like this. There was a reason why the majority of the community called him the "probably most balanced Killer ingame". It was and still is definatly not possible to "always" use the power and "always hook trade" if the survivors played smart. Also if you are getting hook traded as survivor, it is your own fault if that happens, not the Killers fault, otherwise you could also blame leatherface for beeng op cuz he can do the same even better.
Also to mention that on most maps you will not be able to chainsaw around the half of the map in 1 go unless its Coldwind. There are rarely spots where you can chainsaw around the map and most of these ways or spots are very specific, if you would just avoid these areas then you will be fine.
Long story short, I think that argument is not justified.

Yep, thats also something I realized. Now most of the Killers play Ruin + Undying and sometimes even with Pop. Its just sad to see that you are kinda forced to play with the same perks over and over.

it just seems like survivor side is getting slammed hard. Game after game I don’t find it to be any fun. Whether it’s a glitch that gets me where I get stuck when I hug walls or a lag spike that hits me at windows. Skill check dial placement when pushing the button or key seems inaccurate to me and generator regression for missed skill checks seems worse. Survivors just seem to get slammed every single game. Whenever I play killer it’s noticeably easier when you don’t have to rely on others. Plus killers have way too much given to them tbh. Abilities, add ons, Mori’s, maps shrunk awhile back which makes the fast/high mobility killers kind of too strong. There aren’t enough places to hide. Most often in this game you are always going to be out in the open with only a pallet or two around you at any given time. Game honestly seems unenjoyable from a survivor perspective. I didn’t realize I play a game where the maps are mostly unbalanced in their design to let you run from the killer for any extended period of time.
Yes, I always thought about that the solution is not to "slow down" the survivors doing gens and decreasing pallets or objectiles around the map. It would be way more fun increasing the time you spend into 1 game. That means adding another objective that drags out the game, by that you can keep the bigger maps, more pallets without hurting the gameplay flow or increasing the power level of strong Killers. But yeah... sadly the devs decided different...
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Overall downhill.
Game play has been improved slightly (overall), but there's still many missteps, like gutting Nurse and Billy to make them so frustrating to play that they are just literally not fun to play as for the "solution" to fix them (y'know, fun -- the reason anyone plays a video game).
And obviously the amount of performance and bugs have gotten just worse and worse with literally every chapter patch.
And then the monetization and grind has become worse and worse since then too. They were already starting to become a problem, then here comes a battle pass which makes both problems far worse while trying to mask itself as a solution to the problems and just... yeah, I'm not stupid and can see what they've been trying to pull. If this event itself was not obvious enough already for those who couldn't see it a year ago.
If Covid-19 never hit, I do wonder what the player numbers would actually be right now. The player base nearly doubled during the initial wave of the pandemic. Now they're back to "pre-covid" numbers during a period of time when the second wave is happening, which makes it hard to gauge.
The devs are known for gutting Killers without real reasons. Dont forget about the first one that got hit the first and hardest... Legion. I also remember that the Devs mentioned that they wanted to adress "gen speed" and the only thing they did was just.... reducing coop repair speed and great skill check, probably the most simple and lazy adjustment they could every come up with. In the end, it didnt help at all. There are ofc many more issues with the game then just genspeed or Killer powers. Long story short, I feel the same way as you do definatly.

It's terrible to start over again on again a new account if you choose to. It's always a possibility to do that if they don't want to negotiate but if you love the game that much it's a possibility.
Again, I wouldnt give in that easily if i were you. You have probaby many hours and maybe even cosmetics bought too? All those characters you leveled up. Try to plee for a less severe ban. good luck
Yes I have on both accounts together 3,5k+ hours and spended easily over 600 euros for skins, obvioulsy twice amount of spended money cuz of 2 accounts and also bought every single rift and I even louded another 20 euros for cells to be ready for this upcoming tome right now....
Thank you for your advice and help, I appreciate that!

The only reason i can think of why they give you a permanent ban is IF they some how know you already had a previous perma ban on this game with a different account. But i struggle to see how t hey would know this? Is this account on the same emailaddress? Maybe they can see your IP and see that you had a different account on the same IP. I mean this is the only thing i can think of why they punish you so hard for this. But i'm just assuming things now, you should definitely ask them for the reason why they ban you for life.
I mean since you mentioned that I am pretty sure it is cuz they know of my old account. Every company has access to your IP adress and if you are not using a proxy server or any other tool it will most likely not change. I guess they saw through my IP adress that I already got banned once. And also I got the same support guy answering on my ticket as on the first ticket of why I got banned.

So you had a different account witch a perma ban? or a temporary ban? for this game?
They don't know that you are the owner of that account. So they couldn't have taken that ban into account (i believe).
Are you sure you haven't had any small temporary bans on this account before the perma ban? You could ask them in a mail why they dediced to go for a perma ban. I'm still very surprised you get punished so hard. So maybe it's a fault on their end. I would definately not give in and ask for explanations.
Nope I got once a perm ban on my main account, again it was deserved and I am not saying anything against that. But on my current account I didnt got anything, maybe some random reports of salty survivors but nothing that brought me to a ban at any time.
