Alot of the times it just triggers a lol for me. D.H to a window, Hatchet in the back after the vault.
DH but hit a stack of hay, Smack down anyway.
-
Really just Dead hard, i've seen it used so badly many times. But my main gripe with it is the invinciblity im ranged so the dash doesn't bother me so much but when the hatchet lands in your back and your perk negates it, that annoys me.
-
Anna - Medium.
High skill, High reward.
If you can aim and predict, she can be god tier If you can't she's a slow moving melee killer. So i'd say she is 50/50 and thus medium.

People are going to tunnel. No perk nerfs or buffs are going to change that. We need actual in game changes for it to decrease
This to a degree, CoH has just made it worse, why chase wounded survs who can endlessly free heal when you can remove one.
Why kick gens, when they can insta tap stop regression, far more value from tunneling someone out.
-
Hatchet's shouldnt count as a special attack anyway, it's her primary weapon.
-
If there was an other way to get pressure/value in game then killers would do it.
Kicking gens is pointless, (insta tap repair, slow regression)
Wounded survs with CoH is pointless as they can endlessly self heal.
Having a surv on death hook has the best value/pressure. Either survs will try to peel so they're not doing gens or healing, or you've made the game into 3v1.

More encouragement for good behavior and sportsmanlike behavior from the community. Like a BP reward system for receiving kudos after game that would promote players to act better.
What's the definition of sportsman like or good behaviour ?
Camping, Tunneling, tbagging clicking?
I consider 2 of those to be part of the game and 2 of them unnecessary, where as survivor mains would be the opposite.
And how would it work with swfs? Endlessly patting each other on the back just to get more bp.

That's a very weak build. Franklin is trash except on Hag. Noed is OK but with other perks. BBQ is meh, a lot of people use it for BP only. Tink is overrated.
Wish Franklins worked with Hatchets.
@op Just Tunnel harder, eat the d.s and the d.h you won't win chasing survivors, make them chase you to save their friends.
-
Are these the same people that still heal each other in a CoH aura instead of repairing gens?

Pick dead hard and hit that big ol delete button.
Or get rid of the dash portion and make it only avoid hits. Then it's more about skill and timing it. Other than oh I got outplayed hit the E button.
And if you're a ranged killer it doesn't help, i'd rather the dash but lose the avoiding hits.

I don't agree with Putin's actions buy i understand why he is doing it.
The U.S/U.K is hardly beacons of morality on these issues, The U.S in particular have given us wonderful chaps Like Saddam, Pinochet and Noriega.
Cuba is still suffering sanctions from the U.S 70 years later, why? Because the U.S views/viewed them as a threat i. the Munroe doctrine.
To think Russia is going to accept a hostile alliance at their borders is just laughable.

Amanda becomes jigsaw's apprentice after surviving the reverse bear trap. She was taken by jigsaw for being a drug addict. After becoming jigsaw's apprentice she has drug withdrawals and so she turns to self-harm. As a result of this she is tested by jigsaw again in saw 2 because of that. This makes her realise that jigsaw's method doesn't work, as she did not become free of her drug addiction. And so she decides that she wants to kill the test subjects instead because she does not believe that they will reform. Amanda use to be with someone called Cecil and one night she encouraged him to break into Jill Kramer's clinic to steal drugs. Jill Kramer is pregnant at this time and because of Cecil's aggressive demeanour he causes a miscarriage. Amanda indirectly helps in killing John's unborn child, he does not know this, but another jigsaw apprentice called Mark Hoffman does know this and because he wants to become Jigsaw's successor he blackmails amanda by replacing the letter that was supposed to be from John. In Saw 3 amanda is tested once more because she rigs the games to kill people. Because the letter is blackmailed she is pressured into making a choice that makes her lose the game, and die.
She kills people because she sees them as irredeemable i consider that to be evil.
But for John the idea was people had a chance, hence why bear traps are not insta kill.
-
Gen regression just needs to be relevant. More damage done from a kick, and survs need to spend longer time to stop the regression after a kick.
Might even help the current meta which is to tunnel like hell.
-
Amanda?
I don't know her full back story other than what i remember in Saw, other than she was an addict, and she helped cause the death of John's son.
She seems to be a willing participant in "Jigsaw"

Just this. Survivors being 5 year olds.
-
Perks will never be balanced well you have swf vs solo.
Take object of obsession for example.
On solo one person has it, in a swf if they're on coms 4 people get the benefit from it when only one has that perk.
Perks need to be put into groups and you can only have "x" from this group and "x" from that group.

If people want to play that way, fine. It's not against the rules. Stop trying to make excuses. When you try to make excuses it comes off as you do think something is wrong with it and you're trying to justify it.
I can guarantee if they made killers OP and Survivors weak some players would still play this way.
How is it an excuse?
There is little value from a killer's pov of kicking gens when survs are near by to stop the regression, with insta tap.
There is little value from chasing a wounded surv when coh is around and has unlimited uses.
If you want pressure as a killer you need to have survs trying to peel for someone who has just been unhooked.
Chasing gens does not give pressure or value. Chasing a wounded surv with CoH up and one on hook does not give pressure.
-
Down someone and proxy camp and tunnel.
Use bait rather than go looking for fish.
-
Or some of us just want to play and don't care that you want to p3 your 8th survivor.
-
I don't get the endless need to call certain tactics cheap or dirty.
Give killers a reason to not camp/tunnel and it wouldn't happen.
With CoH giving endless free heals, and gen regression non existent there is more chance of winning a game by tunneling survs early than going for wounded survs or kicking gens.
-
Getting caught in a locker should disable it as well.
-
Auto gen repair boon.
-
If kicking gens was beneficial then killers would leave.
There is little value in wounded survivors with CoH.
There is little value in kicking gens when you can insta tap stop the regression.
There is alot of value in a dead survivor.

They disabled her because she's bugged.
So is deadhard against certain Killer's powers, but because that doesn't stop you from moving it's not "gamebreaking"
-
"I only swf to play with my friends"
-
Whether the devs think it or not but a few things i've seen around defiantly make me feel that Killers are the neglected faction.
Moris nerfed, fine was needed, but to leave keys in for a year after was a joke.
Then when on a Q & A someone displays the same feeling and asks a question and is basically trolled, (Play survivor or Civilization) That to me shows the contempt shown to Killers.
Even if they had said stuff like we're making small changes here and there to hopefully make it a better experience would have been better than if you're Homeless just buy a home, rhetoric.

Works both ways, sometimes terrain takes out hatchets that shouldn't. Sometimes Pallets hit that shouldn't Sometimes hatchets hit people already around a corner.
Sometimes deadhard works after a hatchet has landed.

Killers have complained for YEARS that totems are "broken within 30 seconds" of the match starting, yet ruin managed to creep its way up to being used 80% of the time AT RED RANKS. So let's not use the 'if it doesn't work all the time, people wouldn't use it' because it's just false.
Broken you mean cleansed? which is a functioning in game mechanic and not a bug.
Yeah pretty big stretch there.

Does it crash the game and forever prevent further use of their power?
Apparently dead hard in infancy didn't according to Mandy.
"survivors were hit through Dead Hard and were exhausted on the ground,"
And if all survs run dead hard then yes it does prevent use of their power for a period of time.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:

Wait so if my tentacle whip is eaten by dead hard I'm literally stuck in place and can't play the game until it crashes eventually? Because that's what it means by gamebreaking- literally preventing people from ever playing any part of the game. Hence why Boil Over on RPD wasn't killswitched, despite how absolutely obnoxious it was, because it didn't prevent people from playing as slugging existed.
This isn't me thinking that it's correct to only use the killswitch in these circumstances, but in the context of the devs' pre-existing rules it isn't classed as "gamebreaking".
So a few Killers being denied the use of their power is fine? Is that not breaking to you?
If deadhard was a dumpster fire when it was introduced would have people used it? No so it would'nt have mattered if it took 2 years to fix, 99% of survivors wouldnt have used it anyway.
if 4/5 Killers are impacted by this, that's 19% no where near the 80% of Survs who use it. That's why it isn't breaking.
-
@Mandy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2799296#Comment_2799296
the Killswitch is there for things that are game breaking - this is not game breaking, frustrating for sure - I'm not saying it's not. But it definitely doesn't break the game.
Not if you're one of those 4/5 Killer who get turned into m1 Killers for a period of time.
But i understand 20% of the Killer base is no where near the 80% of survivors who use d.h to do something "radical" like Killswitch.
Guess it's time for Civilization?

@Mandy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2799270#Comment_2799270
and how many survivors were on the "raw end of it" when it wasn't working previously? I repeat again, this is not a survivor vs killer issue. The perk didn't work for well over a year - probably closer to two, constantly survivors were hit through Dead Hard and were exhausted on the ground, that was just as frustrating for survivors as this is for killers right now. Hence it's something that will be addressed.
If it was busted it wouldn't have been used. Or if it was it wouldn't have been used in the volume it is now. If it's so frustrating why not disable it then?
-
@Mandy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2799264#Comment_2799264
Dead Hard didn't work for the longest time, since dedicated servers basically - so your insinuation there that this is a Survivor vs Killer issue is misguided.
So no one would have used it, now 80% of survs use it,(going by some of the stats shown on her by users) So how many Killers are on the raw end of it?
-
@Mandy said:
Dead Hard affecting killer powers was brought up in the last Q&A so it is something that the team is aware of, they explained that due to it affecting powers and each killers power is individual it takes time to go through this, as it means each power has to be done separately.
I bet if it was a Killer ability that worked through dead hard it would be hotfixed in a day.
-
I think each character should at least have to run one of the perks they have.
Would increase variety at least.

I didn't say it was unbalanced, i said like Noed it's a crutch.

You don't really seem like you're even considering what I said but rather trying to turn this into a 'us vs them' discussion. Both killers and survivors should enjoy the game and killer needs a lot of help right now since not even 1 in 5 players is picking the killer role as evidenced by the ever lengthening survivor queues. However, ignoring design flaws that partially contributed to that won't help fix any problems
I agree with what you're saying Noed can reward bad players and thus encourages them to not "get better" and so does camping to a degree, but camping is controlled by survivors, they can ignore it and leave thus not rewarding the killer.
Both sides have crutch perks, i just see survs having 3. Why dodge a hit when you can use the b/t hit? Why dodge a hit when you get picked up then use d/s ?
why pick your loops better when you can d/h to the next loop.
It goes both ways easy enough.
-
@TheSubstitute said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2798952#Comment_2798952
I wouldn't argue about DH for beginners. I run without exhaustion perks most times so I'm forced to loop better. DS and BT though have nothing to do with looping and only exist to give a player a chance to actually play.
However, bt/dh (ds) is a crutch for new survivors and puts them in a situation where their long term skills don't improve. As it's overly effective at any MMR it quickly puts newer survivors against much better killers when they haven't learned how to loop, when to drop pallets, how to spot windows, how to set up a 3 or 4 gen, etc. Once there, the only way out is to lose lots of matches but bt/ds and dh will secure one escape; possibly two leading to a lot of terrible matches before the player learns how to play more effectively.
-
So the same as b/t d/h and d/s as a crutch for bad loopers?
-

Nah not really. As the killer you can just go force them out. You only have to wait if you want to be spared the teabags. I usually just go stand in the basement to not give them the satisfaction out of pettiness, but it's really as simple as and going and whacking them a few times.
So if 4 are them there and it takes 4 whacks to get them out how much time is wasted? Compared to how often you're slugged to bleed for 3 minutes?
Im like you i won't chase them but again it's just time wasting childish crap.
-
Go afk then come back.
Killers put up with this every match with survs standing at the gate wasting time.

The map with the least lockers off the top of my head would probably be.. Rotten Fields?
Probably this, as a Huntress main all the lockers are on the outside of the map unless the shack spawns in the middle.
Swamp is the same, but that map is alot smaller.
-
See it both ways, Pallets that hit me when im not next to it, like Anna suddenly became a Horse, or Hatchets that register after the surv is behind a wall.

I would be the same if I didn't play this game with a friend
Screw solo queue
Killer main only play surv when i've got some dailies or a challenge to do, but ill happily die on first hook and not care, zero consequence for me.
-
Casual mode, so swfs can play with their friends alll they want in that mode.
-
Back to not caring as Survivor for me.
-
The grades don't mean anything other than in the month someone has won "x" amount of games.
Every month grades are reset so your games in theory are based upon your mmr, which you don't know, and sometimes it isn't the overriding aspect when your games are selected.
I.E if you've been waiting 5 minutes for a queue whatever person queues as a killer could be your next Killer and he could be Newbie Mc Newbface, Or Tenthousand hourspro.
So the counters for Killers remain the same at whatever level. It will just require you to be better at that counter.
-
A handicap for swfs.
